Author's Note:

Even though this wasn't made during that time, I thought that "Celebrate," one of the latest songs by the Jonas Brothers, is a good fit for the opening of...well, read for yourself.

Back at Foster City School, Mr. Krabs peeked through the sliding doors of the Imagination Lodge to see a large group of kids outside.

"Oooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! There's quite a turnout out there." he said.

"Is there any sign of Nathan?" asked Amelia.

Mr. Krabs looked through the doors again, then back to her, saying. "No, there isn't."

Amelia looked back at the other Imaginaries, telling them. "Then, we'll have to go on without him."

"Tartar sauce." Patrick said upon hearing that.

Little did the Imaginaries realize I was already at Foster City School, sniffling on my way out of Mr. Beckwith's room, when I heard Mike call. "Students of Foster City School, we are so grateful that you could join us in this august occasion, and on the first day no less, to take part in the most colossal playground this school has ever seen."

As Amelia picked up the gold scissors from the case Mr. Arrow was holding, she noticed me walking this way.

Then, she turned to the crowd, calling. "Are you lads ready?"

"Aye, aye, Captain!" the kids called back.

"I can't hear you!" Amelia called.

"AYE, AYE, CAPTAIN!"

"Then, welcome...to the Imagination Lodge!" Amelia proclaimed, cutting the ribbon, allowing the kids inside the lodge, where they marveled at the rustic interior and the water park through the glass window.

They hurried down to the park, enjoying the slides, the lazy river, and the large bucket that poured water on them.

"Be sure to file this under unqualified success, Mr. Arrow." Amelia said to her second-in-command as they watched the kids having fun.

"My pleasure, Captain." replied Mr. Arrow.

Taking notice of the excitement himself, Mr. Krabs went to the Krusty Krab, saying. "Won't be long until business starts to boom, Squidward."

"Oh, it's booming, all right..." replied Squidward. "...from over there."

"What?" said Mr. Krabs, who turned to see that the school cook, John Silver has opened his own resturant, Grillin' Silver's, across the way, where some of the other kids were treated to a live cooking show.

As they cheered at what they were seeing, Mr. Krabs hurried inside his resturant, saying. "Silver, what are you at...why would you...what is all this?!"

"Why, it's me new resturant." replied Silver. "What'd you expect?"

"Well, I didn't expect you to open your own resturant across from mine!" said Mr. Krabs.

"And I suppose you expect me to let these lads to eat in that shack of yours?"

"Are you sayin' the Krusty Krab is old-fashioned?"

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

As he watched Mr. Krabs and Silver argue, Squidward slowly backed away, only to bumped into Patrick, who tried to talk through his snorkel.

"What?" asked Squidward, for he couldn't understand a word from Patrick, who spit out his snorkel, saying clearly. "Hey, look! It's Nathan!"

On seeing that it was, the Imaginaries hurried to greet me.

"Hey, guys." I greeted back.

"We thought you were a no-show." said SpongeBob.

"Oh, believe me. I wanted to be there for sure." I said.

"And we're so relieved that you made it in time," Squidward said, eyeing at Mr. Krabs and Silver.

"Well, you know me." I said. "I wanted to stop by Mr. Beckwith's room before coming here."

"Understandable." Amelia said. "But as much as we all know how much 5th grade meant to you, we also want to hear how your first day inside Bowditch turned out."

The eager looks on my friends' face made me feel uneasy, but I had to tell them anyway. "Well, all I can say is this...I don't like being in middle school."

The Imaginaries were shocked at what they were hearing.

While helping himself to a drink, Patrick spit out his soda...onto Squidward's face!

"Sorry, Squidward." he apologized.

"Already?" said Dr. Doppler. "But it's only day one."

"Is there a reason why you don't like it there?" asked Mr. Krabs.

"Do you have trouble making new friends?" asked SpongeBob.

"Well, there were some I did make," I said. "But the others weren't as friendly and welcoming like those I used to be in class with, especially that student body president, Lucy. She almost tore apart my scrapbook when she saw it."

SpongeBob gasped, then said with determination. "Why, if she was in this school right now, I'd write her up and..."

"At ease, cadet." interrupted Amelia, who turned back to me, saying. "While that's also understandable, keep in mind that this is only the first day. In time, they'll learn to respect you for who you are."

I wanted to believe what she was saying, but my emotions overwhelmed me up to the point of having to leave the Imagination Lodge.

"Well, that was uneventful." Mr. Krabs said as he and the rest of the Imaginaries watched me go.

"You said it." agreed Patrick. "He never even got a chance to try the water rides!"

In response, the others stared at him blankly.
