Weiss sat with Ruby and Blake at breakfast in the cafeteria, waiting for her last teammate.

Glad to wake up before everyone else to get in the shower and to avoid having to explain anything to her friends.

'I hope Yang will agree to keep this matter private.' she thought with a sigh.

"Rough night?" Ruby asked across the table, munching on a bowl of Pumpkin Petes.

"Depends," she answered shortly, "Why?"

"Perhaps because you haven't touched your toast or because you are looking at the entrance of the cafeteria every 30 seconds." Blake counted with her fingers beside her leader. "Or because you were the first to get up and normally you are second or third."

"Oh she did?" Ruby picked up on the last one and looked surprised at Blake.

Her teammate just nodded.

"Wow Weiss, if you have any problems you can talk with us."

"Is my early awakening really that big of a deal?" the heiress scoffed.

Her friends looked briefly at each other then at Weiss again.

"It's a first." Blake retorted.

"Yea, sometimes even Yang is up before you." Ruby stated too.

"A..And why is this relevant?" she asked less stoic as she wanted.

"Well, something or someone is clearly bothering you." her Faun… Human, her human friend Blake mused "Haven't you talked to Yang yesterday?"

"Well, no…" she looked at the doors again. "I wanted to, but she came right in before bedtime and kinda ignored me!"

"Don't worry Weiss, Yang isn't someone to hold a grudge against anybody, I'm sure today all will be fine." Ruby tried to assure her and then her face lit up as she looked at the entrance. "Oh there she is!"

Yang walked from the doors straight to the counter for her breakfast.

Grabbing two apples and a honey bun just to turn around and seeing her team.

As she saw Ruby and Blake she waved a hand and greeted with a cheerful "Morning!"

Then she began to stare coldly at Weiss and something deep down the heiress stomach began to turn.

10 seconds later and Yang was gone again.

"Seeee?! She totally hates me!" Weiss was absolutely sure.

Ruby looked at her and began to giggle. "Pffffffffft, naaaaaa, this wasn't her 'HATE' look." and waved a hand at the platinett.

"How wasn't that hate?! Her eyes were like daggers towards me!"

"Yea Ruby, this was intense, I think we have a new ice queen." Blake agreed.

"Hey don't call me that!" Weiss demanded immediately.

"I haven't." Blake argued with a smirk.

"Ohh come on, as if you don't wanted to get a reaction from me!" the heiress shot back.

Ruby, not wanting to let her team argue, clapped her hands to get their attention.

"Don't worry guys, this was more like her 'I challenge you' or 'I will show you' look. Hmmmm… maybe even her 'you took the last piece of pizza, how could you, I saved it for later!' look, but i'm not sure right now… did you take her pizza Weiss?"

"Are you sure? These 'looks' sound kinda specific." Blake asked, ignoring the pizza part.

They didn't even had pizza for like three weeks.

"Sure I'm sure, she is my sister after all." Ruby confirmed with a toothy smile. "Her basics are simple, like hungry, sleepy, angry, happy and then there are those who are more complicated to decipher but to count every 'look' now will take forever."

"I don't even know what I did!" Weiss addressed the issue again.

"Really? There is nothing you can think of? Like yesterday?" Blake lifted an eyebrow in question.

"Hmm maybe she is angry about…" the platinett's eyes were going wide.

'Fuck!'

"N..no! There is n..nothing at all!" Weiss shrieked while she quickly tipped a message on her scroll.

"Who are you texting to?" both of her teammates asked, surprised by the little outburst.

"Nobody!"

Weiss lay awake in her bed.

And like yesterday, the heater stopped at midnight.

So to no surprise to her, the room was bitterly cold in the middle of the night.

AGAIN!

There would be an effective solution to her problem but she wasn't so sure if this wouldn't cause more problems than it would fix.

Especially when she didn't get the chance to talk it out with a particular blonde brute.

And nobody could say that the heiress hasn't tried.

No, when Yang finally came back from whatever she was doing, she totally wanted to give Weiss a cold shoulder.

So when Weiss was demanding to talk, the brawler just said "Tomorrow afternoon, in the library. Ok? Then we can talk, princes." with no menace or ill will in her voice at all.

But with a glint in her lilac eyes.

'Ruby was right.' she thought as she layed on her back, glancing on the bottom side of her team leader's mattress above. 'This wasn't hate, more like… anticipation?'

But Weiss can't really be sure until they talk tomorrow.

Then she looked to the bed of her blonde teammate and saw how barely Yang was covered again.

'Why must she look so comfortable!? I would get sick alone for the thought of doing this!'

The platinett sighed while Yang's chest raised and fell in a steady deep sleep.

'I shouldn't be doing this.' she thought as she stood up.

'But at least I will have proof that she doesn't hate me if she lets me in again.'

Not wanting to let her blanket lay on the floor again all night, Weiss left it behind, crossed the room with bare feet and regretted it instantly as she arrived at her 'hopefully' stay for the night.

"Y..Yang?" she stuttered to the sleeping figure in front of her, not sure because of her dignity or of the cold.

And like the night before all she got was a grumeled "Huh?"

"C..can I sleep with you a..gain? I k..know our agreement was j..just for one night, but…" Ok it was definitely the low temperature. "I w..would appreciate it if y..you could make room f..for me."

Yang gave a "Mhmmm" and Weiss would swear on her life, as Yang shoved to gave her some room, she looked like a saint performing a miracle.

Flooded with gratitude, the heiress downright jumped beside the blonde, causing a low grumble.

"Sorry sorry." Weiss whispered with a genuine smile while she put Yang's blanket over the two of them.

Enveloped in warmth and her mood, thanks to Yang, improved to infinity, she could finally fall asleep.

So she did….

…. SO SHE DID!

After some time, she still lay awake, wondering why.

'That's new… normally I can sleep right away when everything is right aligned.'

'Dark' check.

'Late' double check, no wonder she isn't an early bird.

'Silence' except for the two sisters snoring lightly in tandem, it's a check but she never minded them.

'Warmth'

The smile from before came back to her as she gave the biggest 'CHECK!' she could give.

This warmth was simple and she will quote Ruby for this "the best!". It felt more real and personal than that inadequate room heater could ever hope for.

The sheets were even warmer than yesterday and there was a little warm and pleasant air push that blew in a slow pace from the crook of her neck to her collarbone… 'Wait what?'

The eyes of the heiress flew wide open, locked on the ceiling over her.

Seconds passed by and then minutes, but the slow rhythmic blows never ended. So she decided to look and what she saw was… was…, she didn't know what it was!

Her face began to burn up as she saw Yang, head and front towards Weiss, with a distance to the platinett… to call it "distance" would just be a formality!

Weiss' heart raced like there was no end and as her "fight or flight" instinct tried to kick in, she mustered all her willpower to calm down and not to accidentally fall out of bed.

Then she skidded more to the edge of the mattress. 'Ok… this is completely fine! I wanted to use our body heat proficiently and Yang delivers on her part…, so lay down, keep calm and get some sleep. There is nothing to fuss about, really.'

The heiress closed her eyes again and steadied her breath. With the minutes her exhaustion from the day caught up to her and she began to drift in a deep deep sle…

Something moved.

Something was now even nearer than before and somewhat was now laid over her midriff.

And last but not least the something's hair smelled like lavender.

….

'NOPE!'

Weiss jumped out of the bed, rushed as silent as possible to her own and downright cocooned herself in her blanket.

With more heat she could ever ask for the night.
