The Future's Young Fingerprint
Lumiouse City, Kalos. July 24th 2033, 3:41pm.
May, Drew, Dawn, and Paul stepped outside, unfazed by the people eyeing them up and down. May wore a blue tank top underneath a bright yellow clear rain coat, paired nicely with black sweatpants, with a few touches of make -up evident on her face, as she walked confidently.
Drew wore a black V-neck shirt, paired with an unzipped leather jacket, along with black pants with a gold chain hanging from one of the pockets, making girls swoon over the tall man.
Dawn wore a black dress that went just below her knees, with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline, the bodice sticking to her body, with cuts at the waist, making her look slimmer than usual. The look was completed with a gold and beige belt, along with some eye liner going about her eyes.
Paul wore a white shirt that stuck to his body, making his muscles visible, paired up with blue, dark washed jeans. On his head, he had a baseball hat, trying to keep his messy purple hair hidden. Dark sunglasses finished the look.
They walked down the street, May walking confidently, Dawn practically cat-walking, Paul walking with a perfect posture, while Drew walked unconsciously seductively. May lead to group to the bakery, trying not to skip. just as the shop came into view, a girl walked up to Drew.
"Hi baby," she purred. Drew shivered involuntarily. Believe it or not, Drew only wanted to hear those words from one specific woman. Drew kept a nonchalant face as he walked around her. "Not interested." The girl gasped then growled as she grabbed Drew's collar. "Are you sure hottie?" she spoke lowly.
Drew seemed unamused as he picked her hands off his collar. "Yes, I'm sure." he said, side stepping her again, as he walked slightly in front of May.
"If she comes after me, please help." he pleaded lowly. May just smirked. "Aw…Is the great Drew afraid of flirting girls?" she teased. "May," he growled. May put up her hands in surrender. "Fine, fine I'll bail you out." Drew crossed his arms and pouted childishly. "Gee thanks," May just laughed.
The girl approached Drew again. "Come on cutie, don't you wanna," she winked suggestively. Drew shivered again. "No thank you." The girl turned her gaze to May. "You're dating her?" she spoke in disbelief. "N-" Drew started, but was cut off by the girl. "But she's so ugly!" the girl whined on. Drew grew angry. "N-" he tried again, but was cut off when she grabbed his collar. "Come on baby, kiss me." she breathed. "You know you want to." she taunted.
By now, May was in a jealous rage. "Actually, I think both my boyfriend and I would appreciate it if you got off of him, thank you." she spoke through clenched teeth. The girl smirked. "Come on sexy," she said grabbing his collar again. "surely you don't wanna be with her." Drew had had enough as he pried her hands off of him roughly. "Don't you dare say anything about her." he glared as he grabbed May's hand. "Come on, let's go." he said, dragging her to the shop without looking back at Dawn and Paul, who were having problems of their own.
Dawn and Paul were walking on the street peacefully, when suddenly, an arm wrapped itself around Dawn's waist as the owner if the said arm walked up to her.
"Well, well, well," The boy spoke, eyeing her up and down. "who do we have here?" the blonde boy said, running his arms up and down her waist, as Dawn tried not to shiver. "Let. Me. Go." she growled into his ear, trying to push him away. "Why should I let a beauty such as yourself go?" he purred.
"Because," she smirked. "PAUL!" she called, as the boy's eyes widened at the sight of the muscular man approaching. "What are you doing?" Paul asked suspiciously, raising an eyebrow. The blonde boy crumbled, as he ran away from Dawn. Dawn turned to Paul. "He was trying to rape me, but you saved me." her eyes glimmered. "Thanks." she said, as she got up on her tip toes to kiss his cheek, before walking ahead, leaving a stunned Paul behind.
Drew and May reached the bakery, before turning around and realizing that Dawn and Paul hadn't made it yet. The two coordinators sighed as they sat on a table while waiting for the pair.
While waiting, the two coordinators decided to play matchmaker with their friends.
"Max and Bonnie just make the cutest couple, don't you think?" May squealed a little. Drew nodded, smiling at the brunette's excitement. Then he smirked.
"But I think Ash and Misty would look better together. It's so obvious they're in love with each other."
"Yeah! But did you see the way Gary looked at Leaf? He's practically smitten over her!"
"That's true. But I think Dawn and Paul would look good together too."
"Yeah! You know what they say! Opposites Attract!"
"Opposites Attract?"
Drew and May stopped their conversation mid-way, to see Dawn hovering over them with a raised eyebrow. "Oh, great! You guys are here! Now we can look for Serena!" May cheered. "By the way, who's Serena?" Drew asked.
The group silenced. Drew groaned. "So we're looking for someone, without knowing what they look like?" The group exchanged glances and nodded slowly. "Great. Just great." he muttered under his breath.
"Hi there, may I take your order?"
A honey-blonde girl heavily pregnant, in her early twenties approached them. "Hi there!" Dawn responded cheerfully. The waitress smiled. "Hello." Dawn hesitated. "Um. If it isn't too much trouble, could you lead us to a girl named Serena? We wanted to talk to her. It's urgent. " The honey blonde smiled. "That would be me. Is there something wrong?" May shook her head. "When is your shift over?" she asked.
Serena thought for a moment. "Well, it'll be over in about five minutes. Why?" Drew spoke up this time, in a low voice. "We're from the past, and Ash and Misty sent us here, to get you." he explained. Serena's face dawned with recognition. Then she giggled a little. "Ah…no wonder you look like Drew." then she paused. "The older one, of course." she added. She turned to the others. "Then you must be Paul Rebolledo, Dawn Berlitz, and May Maple." she said, putting Dawn and May's maiden names as they looked too young to be married.
They all nodded. Serena grinned and checked her watch. "Well, it looks like my shift's over." she looked up at the teens. "How about I meet you guys at the front of the café in five minutes?" she suggested. The little group nodded and headed out.
Exactly five minutes later, the blonde stepped outside, as promised. "Ready to go?" she smiled. May and Dawn walked with Serena, trying to make small-talk, while Paul was at the back, and Drew was up front.
"So, you guys never told me," she inquired. "where are we going?" "The Pokémon Centre." Paul replied from behind her. Serena nodded."Are there more of your friends there?" she asked. May and Dawn spent the next twenty minutes telling her about who was there and how they ended up here.
"Oh My Gosh! Look! It's the guy I told you about!" came a female voice. "Isn't he so fucking hot?!"
"Oh my gosh! You're right!"
The five people turned their heads up front. Drew stood there, frozen in his spot.
"GET HIM!" a voice screeched as Drew and the other's started running for their life. "I can't run!" Serena panted. Suddenly two strong hands lifted her up in the air. "I got you babe." a raven haired man, looking almost the same age as Serena, only a year or two older, muttered. "Thanks Calem." Serena kissed his cheek. Calem turned to the others. "Where to?" he called. May answered for him. "Pokémon Centre, room 314!" She yelled as they all parted ways.
May and Drew took a right turn, and jumped behind some bushes as the horde of girls passed by. They both breathed a sigh of relief. Then May turned to Drew. "You just can't keep girls away, can you?" she sighed. Drew laid his back against a tree tiredly. "Nope." he answered. After catching their breath, the two headed back to the Pokémon Centre, delighted to find that there were no fangirls around.
Dawn and Paul had took a left turn, right into the woods. The two laid in the grass for a bit panting as they both looked at each other, lost in each other's eyes. A few minutes passed. Paul, ever so slowly inched his way, leaning into Dawn, as Dawn grew closer by the second as well. "Maybe he went this way!" a female voice called, causing both Paul and Dawn to break out of their trance and run back to the Pokémon Centre.
Serena and Calem had gone the normal way, so they had reached the Pokémon Centre in no time. Entering the Centre, they found two red-faced people, and two who looked like they had decided to put a skirt made out of leaves on their head.
They explained everything to Calem as they made their way up the stairs and to their room. At the end of the story, Calem's head was spinning, but he accepted the explanation anyway. They looked too similar to their future selves to not be from the past. Plus, Serena seemed to believe them anyway.
As they entered the room, Calem and Serena's eyes were wide with shock as the couple approached Ash,Misty,Max, and Bonnie. "Wow." she breathed, cupping Bonnie's cheeks as she examined her. Beside her, Calem was doing the same thing to Max. Serena then went on to Misty as Calem switched to Ash. "Damn. They look exactly the same as they did when they were twenty." Misty and Bonnie's eye twitched in annoyance. "We're not twenty, you idiot!" they screamed in his face.
Calem looked to Serena for help, while Serena furrowed her brows at her boyfriend. "They're right, you know." she responded knowingly. "Honestly, they look so much younger! Misty, I'm sure of it, is seventeen years old, Bonnie is still fourteen, Ash is almost eighteen, and Max is also fourteen." she told him, as he stared at her as dumbfounded as the rest.
Serena turned back to Misty, Bonnie, Max, and Ash. "Am I right?" she inquired, giggling as they nodded dumbly at her. "How do you know my name?" Max asked, a little overwhelmed. Serena smiled at the teen. "Well, you're dating Bonnie. Of course I'd know you! You guys visit every summer, even though you live in Petalburg, where Max is a gym leader." she responded. Then she thought for a moment. "In fact, you guys are visiting Clemont back at the gym, right now!" she smiled.
The group exchanged looks and explained Older Misty's plan. Calem and Serena nodded in understanding. "Yeah… I guess that makes sense, since they'll be looking for you…" she trailed off. "Who's 'they'?" Gary asked. Serena shook her head.
"It'll be better if I let Ash and Misty back in Larousse explain that to you, along with Leaf, Gary, May, Drew, Dawn, Paul, Solidad, and Harley." She said. Misty checked the time. 9:57pm. She turned to the group.
"Guys, we better get going. It's going to be 10 soon." The group looked at the clock before nodding. Leaf revised the plan.
"Okay, Listen up people," Leaf started in a commanding tone, as all heads turned to her. "May, Drew, Dawn, and Paul will go first, then after ten minutes, Gary, Serena, Max, and Calem will walk to the gym." she commanded. "Then, Ash and Misty will go down the forest path after ten minutes after Gary's group left, and lastly, Bonnie and I will go after fifteen minutes of Ash and Misty being gone, so that we don't attract much attention. Kapiche?" The gang nodded as they scrambled to grab the things they would need.
It was time to put the plan into action.
