The next chapter is up Enjoy :)

After this morning, Thea made a mental note that yautja apparently don't need to eat every day.

Though he did seem to really like the bacon when she told him to at least try it. His eyes seem to light up and he gladly finished up the strips she made for them.

He even ate a couple of the raw ones she left out. But after making a deduction between the two, he surprisingly liked it better cooked then raw.

Though, he didn't seem all that crazy about the eggs. Apparently, they were too gummy for his liking, and he wasn't crazy about the flavor.

And when he tried the toast, he practically almost spat it back out. Watching him try different foods was pretty amusing for her. Sometimes the expressions on his strange face were comical.

At times she had to bite the inside of her cheek to keep herself from laughing.

'This thing she calls toast. The texture is strange, and it taste like ashes.' Setg-in thought.

But he didn't tell her that. Because he didn't want to come off as rude. He just politely told her he didn't really like it.

Afterwards she collected the plates, rinsed them off and stuck them in the dishwasher.

"Why put dish in there?" He asks.

"It's called a dishwasher. You put dirty dishes, bowls, cups, and utensils in here. Then you put in this special kind of soap, close it, and press the button. Then it cleans everything for you. Though sometimes if I find myself bored, I may just wash them by hand and put them away." She replied.

It was still quite early in the morning.

But Thea already had an idea of what she wanted to do today. She was going to grab her fishing pole and do some fishing. There was a nice size pond on her several acres of land.

Sometimes she likes to go out there to relax, fish, or sometimes went swimming.

She even brought her book out there several times and sat on the old wooden pier on her beach chair and would read. It was always nice and quiet back there.

"Anyways, I was going to grab my fishing pole and go fishing. Want to come?" Theas asks.

Why not? Not like he had much else to do while he was still healing. Though once he did fully heal, he'd like to hunt and train again. She did have a nice size yard, big enough for training.

"Ok." He said.

Thea went into the closet near her back door. She pulled out her fishing pole, the bait and tackle box, and a bucket.

While Setg-in went back upstairs to put on his armor and grab some of his weapons. Lastly, he donned his mask and went back down. He saw her waiting for him near the back door right outside the kitchen.

She furrowed her brows, "Why you armed and wearing armor for? It's safe where we are going."

"Habit. Never know." Was all he said.

It was like second nature for a hunter to wear his awu'asa and weapons whenever he was out. Especially, on a foreign world.

His gaze went over to the flimsy looking stick in her right hand.

"What that?" He asked, gesturing to the item in question.

"It's my fishing pole. It's what I used to catch fish." Thea replied.

Setg-in cocked his head to the side.

"No use spear?" He asks.

The young woman shook her head.

"No, people here use fishing poles. Some indigenous tribes in other countries may still use spears. But here, we always use the poles." She said.

"Interesting." He says.

The pair then left the house, walked across the large grassy lawn, then onto a dirt path that led into the woods.

Setg-in continually looked around, scanning his surroundings. His cloaking device was still not working properly and still need to be fixed. Hopefully, it was something that could be fixed.

"Don't worry, like I said, no one else is around. Just us out here. If there were anyone out here, I would call the cops, because they would be trespassing on private property." Thea assured him.

Since she moved to this home from out of state three years earlier, she never had a problem with people encroaching on her property. But then the neighbors around here told her that most people here knew where property lines started and ended and know not to go on them.

While this did reassure him a little, you still never could be too careful or cautious.

They walked through the woods for about fifteen minutes. Before they reached the edge of the tree line and it opened up into a large pond. Well, to most it looks like a small lake.

There was just one small wooden pier that led out into it. There was also a small rowboat tied to it off to the side. It was left here by the previous owners. They told her she could have it.

Sometimes she would take it out for fishing. Or just row out there to the middle of the pond and pull out her book and read.

Today, she decided to go to the end of the pier and sit down at the edge. Setg-in sat beside her and looked around. It was nice area, pretty peaceful and quiet.

She went to open her tackle box. And found one of her books on top.

"Oops, so that's where it went." Thea joked to herself.

She had been looking for this book. She must've forgot that she brought it out here the last time she went fishing and then left it in here.

Thea placed it aside and then went to grab the artificial bate to put on the end of her hook. Afterwards she cast her line into the water several feet away. She left it there for a little bit, before reeling it back in.

"That how it works." He stated.

The young woman nodded, "Yeah, you want to try?"

Setg-in shook his head.

"No thanks." He replied.

Then he got up and walked back down the twelve-foot pier. He hopped onto solid ground then started to walk into the water.

Thea wondered what he was up to. He stopped when it was about knee deep on him. Then she watched as he pulled this strange spear from his back and extend it.

He held it out in front of him patiently and slowly scanned the water.

The young woman watched on, clearly intrigued. She never saw anyone fish like this before. Though it did seem very interesting and tricky. Even more so because they didn't use any bait.

They just wait patiently for a fish to some along before striking.

Thea alternated between checking her line and watching Setg-in. The minutes seemed to tick by before he suddenly moved. Quicker then she could imagine him to move, he thrusted the elongated metallic spear into the water.

Then he pulled it out with a nice size fish that was impaled on the end sharp end of it and held it up.

"Woah, that was pretty neat. You must've had a lot of practice catching fish like that." She commented.

"Some. No fish much. Prefer hunt animals. But good eat." He said.

Though he never had Earth fish before. This would be a first time for him. He probably wouldn't eat it today though, since he already ate a nice size meal last night.

But perhaps Thea can put it on ice for him in that cold box storage in her home she called a refrigerator.

The young warrior walked over with his catch and back onto the pier. He pulled the fish off the end of his combi stick and placed it in the bucket she brought with her.

Then he left and went back into the water again with his weapon.

The two of them would chat back and forth while they fished. Ironically, it looked like he was doing much better at it then she was at the moment. He caught two more fish, while she still has yet to catch one.

Something he noticed too. Because every time she casted her line and reeled it in, there was nothing.

Eventually, she just decided to let it sit for a bit. If the bait ball starts jerking up and down, she'll reel it in then. Sometimes, this worked out better for her than constantly casting it and reeling it in.

It wasn't until Setg-in came over with his fourth fish did he squat down beside her seated form.

"Still no fish?" He teased her.

Thea huffed, "No, not yet. But then, it's all about patience. But it doesn't seem like they're biting so far."

He looked at her for a moment, "Teach with spear."

At first, she wasn't sure what he meant. Then it clicked.

He was telling her he could teach her how to spear fish.

"That sounds really cool. But it looks very hard. I doubt I'd be any good at it." Thea said.

"Won't know until try." He replied.

Setg-in stood up, then motioned for her to come with him.

'Ehh, what the hell.' She thought.

Thea reeled in her line and placed her pole down on the floor of the pier.

Then she left the pier and approached him. She had already kicked her slides off beforehand when she got here. So, she walked into the cool, crisp water over to him.

He waited in the water. Though where it was shin deep on him, it came up to her thighs.

Setg-in handed her his combi stick. She slowly took the offered weapon and looked at it. It was lighter than it looked and had some pretty neat intricate designs carved into it.

"Now, watch water and wait for fish. When see, hit with spear." He instructed.

Something told him, this will be highly amusing to watch.

Especially since it was clear the ooman female had no idea what she was doing. No doubt she will miss the first several times. Already, she was holding the combi stick rather clumsily.

It seemed like they were waiting forever, until Thea saw a fish start to slowly zig zag toward them.

When it got closer, she raised the spear up. Once it got within a foot of where she was standing, she lunged for it with the spear. But as she tried to slam it down into the water, she lost her footing and fell into the water.

A surprised gasp left her when this happened. And she soon found herself drenched.

Then she heard a strange sound coming from behind her. It was a combination of this trilling sound mixed with those funny chirping sounds. And a deeper gruff sound was mixed in on top of it.

She turned around to see Setg-in grasping his stomach and slightly hunched over. Thea soon came to realize he was laughing.

Her cheeks grew red in embarrassment.

"Seriously, it's not that funny." She stuttered.

"Yes is." He said, between laughs.

Out of the things he could think of for her to screw this up, he still wasn't anticipating this.

And it was fucking hilarious. The last time he ever saw an epic fail at spearfishing like this was when he was a pup. One of his other friends at the time had done the same thing and fell into the water.

Thea rolled her eyes, then handed the spear back to him.

He reached out and took it from her extended hand.

"I think I'll stick to the fishing pole from now on." She said.

Then she trudged out of the water and back up to the pier.

She wrung out her lose-fitted tank before sitting back down and grabbing her pole. Though she wasn't alone for long. Because Setg-in came up shortly after and sat beside her.

"Sorry, did not mean laugh." He told her.

She was silent for a moment, before a small smile graced her lips.

"I know, I guess I would've laughed to if I saw someone doing that. That was the biggest epic fail, that's for sure. But at least I tried. Just kind of wish I didn't fall into the water. Think that's what made it all the more embarrassing." Thea admitted.

Setg-in shrugs, "Just need practice."

Thea nodded, "How long have you been hunting? Did you start very young?"

"Yes, many of kind do. Must prove worthy to clan and females." He said.

"Really? That's interesting. This mean every one of your kind are hunters then?" She inquires.

"All start out hunters. Some choose other trades after. Like metal work, healing, or science." The young hunter said.

Before everything turned to shit for him. Setg-in had high hopes of becoming an Elite when he was older. Just like his father and two of his older brothers.

But after everything that happened, it will be nothing more than a dream now. And it was something that still bothered him to this day. A few bad mistakes, and he's labeled a bad blood for it and cast out.

Or shall he say, more like driven from home world.

Setg-in never thought in a million years that one of his good friends would turn on him like that. Noe did he expect the heat he'd be in for a few bad calls he made during a couple hunts, that left other fellow hunters killed.

He growled and looked away.

Thea heard him and wondered what that noise was all about. The sound didn't sound like a happy one. It sounded like a soft growl, almost similar to what you would hear from a large dog.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

His gaze shifted back to hers.

Funny, since he'd been wearing it the last couple days, he has kept it on ooman vision. But then, it helped him read her expressions and body language a little better. And right now, he saw concern in those bright blue orbs.

"Nothing." He told her.

Though it was an outright lie.

Everything was wrong. But it's not like he could really tell her that. No doubt she would react a lot differently if he told her the truth about how he found himself here.

His train of thought was broken when he felt a small soft hand on his arm.

"You sure? We can go back to the house if you want." She offered.

Setg-in's gaze trailed from her hand on his forearm to her face again.

This female seems to hold so much compassion. And for a creature like him. It was something that still baffled him. But he welcomed it at the same time. Probably because no one else ever shared concern for his wellbeing before.

His large hand slowly came up to encompass hers. Her skin was so soft, and her bones so fragile beneath his touch. It was different and welcoming. It matched her soft heart.

Thea felt his large hand engulf her own. It was very warm, and she could feel the smooth yet tough texture of his skin against hers. But his touch was gentle as he lightly grasped her much smaller hand.

"Am ok. We can stay." Setg-in assured her.

Thea can't help but feel something was weighing heavily on his mind.

Ever since she first met encountered him yesterday, and he came into her home. She couldn't help but feel he had a chip on his shoulder. Or possibly some inner demons that was eating away at him.

And this was despite the fact that he said he came here merely to visit.

Perhaps it could be the fact that his ship was broken, and he had to stay with her. After all, that would be devastating to anyone. On top of that, she has an overwhelming feeling that he could be stuck here.

He's lost on an unknown world so different from his own. She figures.

But at least he isn't alone. She was here, and if he truly were stranded, she wouldn't feel right about kicking him out at any point. Thea couldn't help but feel the need to help him in any way she can.

This is why she offered to let him stay.

Her gaze drifted to the scenery in front of them. There was silence between them for the next minute or so, before either of them spoke.

"Things will get better." She said.

Setg-in's gaze went from the scenery to the ooman female.

Her words at first confused him. Could it be possible she could sense his inner turmoil and said this as a form of comfort? If so, he can't help but appreciate her words.

They sat there on the wooden pier together for a good portion of the day. Every now and then they would exchange words to break the silence.

At some point, Thea was able to catch a couple of fish. And while one was rather small, the other was a nice size. She stated it was definitely a keep and through it in the bucket full of water with Setg-in's catch.

Then she decided around early afternoon it was time to start heading back.

The young woman took her pole and collected her bait and tackle box. But when she went to go grab the bucket full of fish, Setg-in put his hand up as if telling her to wait.

Then he reached down and picked it up for her.

He gave her a small nod then motioned for her to star walking. And he walked beside her the rest of the way back to the house. After today, Thea felt like there was still so much more she wanted to know about this intergalactic hunter.

At the same time, she didn't want to come off as being intrusive or nosy though either.

Maybe she won't bombard him with a ton of questions but just enough to get some answers from him. Because if he was going to be staying with her, she didn't want there to be secrets between them.

Until Next Time ;)
