Harry transfigured ink, a quill, and some parchment out of leaves that he found on the ground. They wouldn't last forever, but they would last more than long enough for Hermione and Ron to get his message. His problem was that he wasn't sure what they knew or not. Remus told him that they knew about him becoming a werewolf but Harry figured that they deserved to hear it from him as well. He also should make sure that they knew about Snape's involvement with Dumbledore's death; however, he wasn't sure what he wanted to say about Greyback and his involvement. He shrugged and put the quill to the paper. He would decide what to write depending on what he thinks is right.

Dear Hermione and Ron,

First off, I want to say that I am safe and with Remus and Sirius. Remus told me that you already know, but I want to tell you myself. On the day that Headmaster Dumbledore died, I was bitten by a werewolf and he turned me into one. It has been an adjustment and also kinda weird. It is both worse and better than I thought it would be. After I got bitten, Snape swooped in like an overly large bat. He stopped the wound from bleeding and he was taking me to the infirmary when we bumped into Death Eaters! Bloody Malfoy is the one to let him in. I told you guys that he was up to something. (Harry had to admit to himself that he was a tiny bit smug that he was right). I am not sure if you know this, but Snape is the one who killed the Headmaster. I saw it myself so please don't argue that I might be confused or that I am assuming the worst about him. Again, I want to say that I am safe and with Remus and Sirius. Please be careful around Snape.

Harry Potter

Harry didn't know what else to add so he looked to Remus. He was going to ask him how he should send it when an owl swooped down and landed right in front of Harry. Guess Harry didn't need to use a spell.

"Hedwig! I knew you would eventually find me." Harry gently stroked her feathers. She cooed at him and lightly nipped at his fingers as if reprimanding him for leaving without her.

Harry smiled, pleased that she was alright.

"Alright, can you send this to Hermione and Ron?" She stuck out her leg and waited for him to tie it before flying away.

Remus watched the interaction carefully. "Harry, has she always come when you want to send a letter?"

"Yeah, she's very smart for an owl. I don't even have to do anything, she just knows."

Sirius let out a bark-like laugh, "That's probably because she's your familiar."

"My what?"

"She is your familiar. You two share a close bond so she can understand you. Haven't you wondered why she seems to be smarter than other owls?"

Harry didn't know what to say. He hadn't thought about how smart other owls were or how they compared. Perhaps that was why others always stared at him oddly when he talked to her.

Fenrir had watched the interaction curiously. His mate could be caring but he seemed ignorant about a lot of wizarding knowledge. Fenrir knew that his relatives were muggles, but even most muggle-borns seemed to know information that Harry didn't.

They all watched as Hedwig flew into the distance. Harry's owl was beautiful and Fenrir thought it only made sense that Harry had such a beautiful owl.

Remus looked up to the sky and saw that the sun was at its highest point. The day was passing them by with all of the talking. He turned to the rest of the group.

"We decided that Harry isn't going back to Hogwarts, but we never decided where we are going to go from here and if we are going to stay as a group." Remus already knew some of the answers to his questions, but he also knew that they needed to be asked anyway.

Greyback huffed, "We are staying as a group. This is non-negotiable. We should join with the rest of my pack. There we'll be safe." What was left unsaid was that Fenrir needed to go back to his pack no matter what. A pack could operate without their Alpha for a short time but Fenrir was pushing his luck by being gone for so long, especially with his Beta with him.

"Will your pack accept all of us?" Remus figured that he and Harry would be accepted, but he was worried for Sirius.

"Yes. I am the alpha. If I tell them to accept you then they will."

Remus sighed, "Well yes, but would they appreciate the fact that you are bringing in outsiders?"

Aspen figured that it was best that the Alpha not answer this question, "You are not outsiders. You have been turned by the alpha and Sirius is your mate. There will be no strife caused by your presence."

Remus felt some of the tension in his body relax away. "Alright, so where exactly is your pack?"

It had been a very emotional day for Harry and so he had been sitting and listening to them talk until he heard Fenrir's words: "We can apparate you to just outside the wards. It should take a couple of jumps but it should be manageable"

Harry sat up and turned to Fenrir. Harry didn't think too long about his epiphany before saying, "Now wait just one second! I have been so bloody gullible." He pointed at Fenrir with accusation, "You have not only been leading me away from Hogwarts but you could have apparated me to just outside Hogwarts wards!"

Harry realized what he said and stood. He walked up to a tree and lightly put his forehead against the tree. Harry felt the need to hide, his face was bright red at realizing how easily he had been fooled.

Sirius chuckled but stopped when he saw Remus glare at him. Remus knew that Sirius wouldn't help with Harry's embarrassment. Sirius thought that his pup knew about the flaws in Fenrir's plan to get him to Hogwarts but apparently not.

Fenrir flushed. Oops, he didn't want his mate to know that he was deceiving him but he let the bludger loose.

"Uh…if I had apparated you then you wouldn't have had enough time for me to convince you to join the pack." Fenrir decided to gamble and be honest. His mate would appreciate late honesty more than more lies.

Harry wanted to turn away from the tree and scold Fenrir but he knew that it wouldn't do any good. Fenrir wanted a mate and Harry had already agreed to go with him. Also, Harry had nothing to gain from further anger or embarrassment. Harry decided to keep facing the tree and say nothing until his flush went away.

Unfortunately for Harry, the rest of the group misunderstood his silence for anger.

"Look, my Alpha shouldn't have lied, but he was just trying his best! You can't hold that against him!" Aspen's defense of her Alpha was done out of loyalty but Harry was irritated at being scolded.

Harry turned around, showing the rest of the group that his flush was from embarrassment, which caused Remus and Sirius to start to relax. However, his embarrassment quickly turned to irritation and he turned to Aspen with intent to scold her.

"You do not get to tell me what I can or cannot do! Especially not when it comes to my feelings! You say that I cannot hold his lies against him, fine. That may be true, but you are not the person to tell me that! I don't even know you," Harry's flush was gone but his anger was plain to see. Seeing Harry's anger, Fenrir turned to glare at Aspen for her careless words.

Aspen took a step back and realized what she did especially when she saw that her Alpha was angry at her as well.

Remus felt a bit of protectiveness rise and tried to soothe Harry. He paused for a second though at his confusion of who he was feeling protective over. He didn't know Aspen so he wasn't sure why he would feel protective over her. Ignoring it, he pulled Harry towards him.

Harry took in the soothing scent of Remus and relaxed into his hug.

"Sorry, I wasn't angry. I was just embarrassed at not realizing what Fenrir was doing."

The others knew that Harry was angry. It was just that he started off as embarrassed at first. For the sake of peace, they chose not to point it out. Harry huffed a bit. He didn't even think that he had talked to Aspen at all until that moment so he wasn't sure why she thought it was okay to scold him.

Fenrir was still glaring at Aspen since she made things more difficult and created a bad first impression on Harry. However, to break the awkwardness, Fenrir decided to change the topic, "Aspen can apparate Sirius while I take Harry and Remus since you don't know where we are going. I think it should take about four jumps."

Fenrir waited until Aspen nodded in confirmation before committing to the four apparition jumps.

The group nodded and paired up. Harry felt the sensation of being side-apparated and tried to focus on staying upright when they arrived. Stumbling a bit, Harry was pleased that he didn't fall on his arse in front of Fenrir. Harry looked around and tried to take in his surroundings. It looked like they were in an alley. They were clearly in a muggle area. Harry got nervous, but other than some people looking to the sky in search of lightning, no one noticed them. Shortly after they arrived, Aspen and Sirius showed up. They stood for a bit in the alley and Aspen and Fenrir waited until the other three looked less disorientated before they made another jump.

This time Harry had to be held up by Fenrir.

"Bullocks. That sucks." Fenrir laughed at Harry's complaints but still held onto him.

Harry had hoped that he had gotten more used to apparating and he would only have minor stumbles after each apparition. However, now he feared that they would arrive at the pack and Harry would fall flat onto his arse. Harry looked around and he saw that they were in a new forest. This one seemed cooler and at a higher elevation than the Forbidden Forest.

Once recovered, they apparated once again. This time both Remus and Harry stumbled. Trying to stabilize both of them, Fenrir was almost pulled to the ground. In fear of falling in front of his pack, Fenrir decided that they would take a longer rest. Fenrir let go of Remus and Harry, who looked at him in confusion. Hearing the crack of Aspen's arrival, he turned to them just in time to see them both stumble. It solidified Fenrir's choice.

"We're going to take a longer rest before we finish the trip." Aspen nodded, clearly tired.

Harry looked around. The first thing he noticed was that the sun was nearly identical in position to where they last were. So they had not gone that far. They were in a clearing this time. It was surrounded by tall green trees but had a small stream that bisected it. There was nowhere to sit so Harry shrugged and sat cross-legged on the ground. The rest followed Harry's example.

"I forgot how much I hate apparating. It's bloody awful." Harry's complaints were followed by Sirius snickering at his misfortune.

Fenrir smiled in amusement but after Sirius got slapped gently on the arm by Harry, he kept his laughter to himself.

Aspen looked at the four of them and sighed. She didn't quite fit into the domestic sight and at the center of it all was Harry. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like for her two mates to acknowledge her. Her mates and her alpha all seemed preoccupied with Harry and he seemed wary of her.

Sirius was starting to feel uncomfortable with the stillness, "So what's your pack like?"

Fenrir smiled, he was quite proud of his pack, "Our pack had 16 of us but with you joining us, the group will be 19. Most of the pack are male and young, but no one is underage." Harry felt nervous, he would be the youngest person in the pack. "Aspen and Thomas are the betas which means that they are my second command and help run things when I am busy. We are currently in Germany but we have been known to move locations depending on wizards, hunters, or resources. We are an interesting mix of people. Most of us started as wizards but four of our numbers started as muggle-raised squibs."

Harry and his godfathers stared a bit at Fenrir. Fenrir had smiled and seemed both pleasant and calm when talking about his pack. Harry also blushed a bit when Fenrir said 'our'. It seems that Harry might gain a new home. Hogwarts used to be his home, but after all that has happened, it would be nice to have a home with no bad memories.

Fenrir turned to Aspen to see if she had anything to add. She looked a bit thoughtful, "We are also from a mixture of different countries. We are mostly British or German though."

Harry couldn't help but think that was interesting. Hogwarts students were mostly from the UK so he didn't get to interact with people who were that different than he was.

"Mostly? Where else are they from?" Harry's curiosity was very strong.

Harry asked Fenrir, but Aspen was the one who answered, "Well Antonio and Carlos are from Spain but they got turned when they were hiking in Germany."

Feeling like that direction of questioning was finished, Harry decided to extend an olive branch. He turned to Aspen, "Why did you want to be a beta in the pack?"

Aspen was very glad that Harry had asked the question. Perhaps her relationship with Harry hadn't been ruined by her thoughtless words earlier.

"I am very proud to be part of the pack. Before I joined the Greyback pack, I had been wandering around from forest to forest. I didn't really know what I was. I mean I had figured out that I was a werewolf but I didn't know what that meant for me. It wasn't until I found the pack in the Black Forest that they explained things to me and things got better."

Sirius perked up at that, "So are you still in the Black Forest?" Sirius thought it would be a bit funny to live in a forest that shared his name.

Remus knew where Sirus' thoughts had gone and shook his head fondly.

Fenrir was the one to answer, "No, we are in Teutoburg Forest."

Harry thought that was an interesting name and he wondered what the forest would be like, but Harry's thoughts were interrupted by the growl of his stomach.

Laughter came from the three men. Remus suggested, "Why don't we get a bite to eat while we rest?"
