Falling in Love C-6
Loren and Eddie had an amazing time in Paris, upon her return, she tells Mel all about it.
"Omg Lo, Eddie is very romantic."
"It was nice Mel, we had an authentic dinner at this cozy French restaurant, we went for a walk, we stopped at the most adorable bakery, we had Crème Brule, I felt very special." She sighs.
"That's because you are special Loren, I am so excited for you and Eddie."
Eddie begins to tour, every Friday he sends his Jet to wherever Loren is working, they spend every weekend together. This goes on for several months.
Loren feels happy again and she decides to give LOVE another chance, she stays busy during the week, she misses Eddie, something she isn't ready to admit.
He inspired to write more songs and his performances have improved. Something Jake notices.
"Hey Eduardo, what's the secret, you've written 3 songs in two weeks."
"You know my secret; don't pretend you don't know."
"I've noticed Loren is here every weekend, I am sure it's her, you weren't this inspired while dating Chloe."
"Don't even go there." He looks at Jake. "Chloe who?"
Jake smiles. "Well, I won't ever, but, I love the affect Loren is having on you."
"Me too!" Eddie smiles.
"You're headed back to Los Angeles for a few weeks, Nike wants a few commercials, they want them ready for Super Bowl Sunday."
"That cool, and the best part, I will have Loren close by, let's set the date." Eddie adds.
"Awesome, finish this weekend's show and we will fly back to L.A." Jake says.
Once again, Eddie is a big hit in New York, all four of his performances sold out that weekend.
He lets Loren know that he will be in Los Angeles for several weeks, she looks forward to seeing him.
Eddie meets Loren for lunch. "A commercial for Nikes, that sounds like fun." Loren adds.
"I've done them before for other shoe brands, it's a long process, long photo shoots because no one is pleased with the first set of pictures."
"Make it work the first time, I know you can do it and you don't have to there for hours." Loren suggests.
He places his hand over hers. "We would have more time for each other."
Loren blushes. "Definitely."
Loren and Eddie enjoy a quiet dinner, a call from Jake ends their time together a bit early.
Loren's home,
"That was a short date!" Mel wonders.
"Jake called, he had to meet with Eddie." Loren sighs.
"How was dinner? Has he said anything special?" Mel questions.
Loren knows where she's going with this. "No Mel, we're getting to know each other."
"Nothing wrong with saying I love you." Mel looks at Loren. "Do you have any feelings for him?"
"I love spending time with him." Loren looks at Mel. "I don't want to rush things."
"There's nothing wrong with being the first one to admit their feelings."
Loren doesn't respond and Mel notices, she walks to where Loren has been standing.
"Are you afraid?" Mel wonders.
"Eddie lives in a different world from mine, what if he isn't ready to commit, I don't want to get hurt again, I am finally feeling normal again, he makes me feel very special." Loren admits.
"I am sure he feels the same way Loren, maybe he doesn't want you to feel rushed, if you take the first step, then he will let you know how he feels." Mel adds.
"I know you're falling in love Loren, I can tell, I see how you look at him." Mel says.
A few days later,
Eddie is at the Nike offices meeting with the production team, the manager shares his thoughts with Eddie, he lets him know what he expects from the photos that will be taken of Eddie wearing the latest Nike sports shoe.
Eddie is taken to a dressing room and handed an outfit that will go well with the first pair of shoes he will be photographed in.
Several models pose with him while the pics are taken, many shots are taken at the beach, everyone is pleased with the outcome, Eddie has a knack at following the photographer's direction, the pictures are approved.
He's asked to return the following day; he will be wearing the first pair designed in a contest by 8 years old. Chloe Carter, his ex-girlfriend will pose with him.
Loren is on her way to surprise Eddie, she is taking him out on a lunch date, Mel is dropping her off because Loren's car is in the shop.
"I think what you're doing for Eddie is very romantic."
"He's been very patient with me; I have to admit that I am falling in love with him." Loren adds.
"Omg Lo, are you serious?" Mel questions. "Why didn't you tell me at home?"
"I know how you are Melissa." Loren looks at her. "You know I love you, but you tend to blow things out of proportion."
"I want to see you happy again, you are smiling again and it looks very good on you, I can honestly say that you're glowing, that's definitely true love Loren Tate."
"I am ready to tell Eddie how I feel, we will go out for lunch and I will be the first to say it."
"We're here Loren, can I come down to say hello?" She asks.
Loren furrows her eyes at her. "If I let you, you better not hint anything to Eddie." She waits for Mel to respond.
"Are you listening?"
Mel sighs. "Yes, I'm listening, I won't breathe a word of it."
Mel parks and they both exit the car and walk inside the building where the photo shoots are taking place.
Loren asks the first person she sees where she can find Eddie Duran, she points to the door at the end of the hallway, she tells Loren to walk inside quietly because they are almost done with the photo shoot.
"How cool is this? I wonder who's included in the photo shoot?" Mel asks.
"We will find out." Loren adds.
They open the door, she sees Eddie talking to a tall slim blonde, Mel is the first to recognize her.
"Isn't that Chloe his ex?" She questions.
Loren gets closer, Eddie is talking to her, Loren stops on the side of the room where she and Mel can hear the conversation.
"I told you that you and I have nothing more to say." Eddie adds.
"Wow, you're seriously over me?" Chloe asks while she places her hands on her hips.
"Don't tell me it's the girl your mother hired to design your properties?"
"We are done here Chloe, go home and leave me alone, for the first time I can admit I am very happy, I can honestly say I'm in love with the most amazing young lady." He looks at Chloe. "It's time for you to leave, I have other things to tend too."
Chloe shakes her head. "I had to try again, I am sorry I messed everything between us."
Their conversation continues, Loren looks at Mel and signals her that they are leaving, she holds Mel's hand and they rush out of the building.
"Why are we leaving? He just admitted to being in love with you." Mel says.
"I don't want him to know I heard him, I have a better idea where we can go."
"Are you upset?" Mel wonders. They get into Mel's car and drive away.
"Of course not, why would I be upset? The man I have falling in love has my heart, I can't wait to tell him how I feel."
"What are you planning?" Mel wonders.
"You'll see; I have the most amazing idea where to tell him how I feel." She looks at Mel.
"Omg, I know where you're headed?" Mel yells. "It's Paris! The most romantic place in the world!"
Loren bites her lower lip. "Don't you dare say a word."
"No worries girl! How can I help?" Mel wonders.
A few days later, Loren is ready to fly to Paris, she gives Mel a note. "Give this to Eddie, I have an appointment in Paris, I need more supplies, I have more customers."
"What if Eddie is busy?" Mel wonders.
"I spoke to Jake, he says Eddie has a meeting in Paris, can't wait to surprise him." Loren adds.
"I am very excited for you, girl."
A few days later, Loren is packed and ready to go, she boards the plane and she is off to Paris.
Eddie stops by to see Loren, He's surprised she isn't there, Mel gives him the note Loren left for him, it's in a small blue envelope. Mel rushes out of there with an excuse, she's afraid if she talks to Eddie, she might spill the beans and Loren will definitely kill her.
Eddie opens the note; he smiles when he sees what's written.
(Hey Handsome, meet me in Paris!) Eddie furrows his eyes, what is this all about? He will fly out there with Jake in two days.
"Can't wait to see you beautiful."
Loren is in Paris and meets with several people that help her with supplies for her business, she stays busy placing orders, she smiles when she sees a text from Eddie telling her he will see her soon.
As planned, Eddie flies out to Paris, upon arrival, he is in several meetings with Jake, he sends Loren a text that he will see her later that evening by the Eiffel Tower.
Loren is happy and nervous, she buys a new dress, gets her hair and make-up done, she looks in the mirror, everything she's wearing is on point, she can't forget her favorite perfume (je t'aime Paris which means love you Paris)
She takes a taxi to the Eiffel Tower, she spots Eddie, he looks more handsome than ever, she exits the taxi and practically runs towards him.
"Hey beautiful, couldn't wait to see you, you took off too fast." He says, Loren leans in and places a soft kiss on his lips.
"I'm sorry, I stopped by a few days ago to see you."
"When? Were we supposed to meet? Don't tell me I forgot." He says while holding Loren very close to him.
"No, we didn't have anything planned. I wanted to surprise you at your photo shoot, you were kind of busy." She adds.
Eddie furrows his eyes. "When? I didn't see you."
"I saw you, I heard what you told Chloe." She looks deep into his eyes.
"I was going to invite you to lunch, I wanted you to know how I feel about you."
He holds her chin. "Why didn't you wait?"
"I wanted us to meet in Paris, my favorite city, I thought I'd never be back here, never thought I'd fall in love again."
"We are here to tell each other we are madly in love." He adds while leaning closer to her.
"Yes, I love you Eddie, with all of my heart." She leans in and places a kiss on his lips.
Eddie brings her closer. "I love you too, this will be our special place, we will get engaged here and our wedding will take place in Paris, the most romantic place on earth."
Loren feels the full effect of the butterflies in her body, something she's never experienced before, she knows why, she wraps her arms around Eddie's neck, their kiss deepens, Eddie pulls away softly and he quickly gets down on one knee.
"Marry me Loren."
Loren can't believe it, people stop to watch the proposal, he was right, this is the place they were getting engaged it, she finally responds.
"Yes Eddie, I will marry you!"
Everyone claps, a few months later, their wedding takes place in front of the Eiffel Tower, Loren and Eddie are married surrounded by their loved ones, and they live happily ever after.
