Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 11
Land of Tea: Outside Obito's house
Naruto, Obito, Temari, Kankuro and Kurumi were looking staring at Kabuto, Yoroi, Misumi and 25 other Oto shinobi; Naruto was looking at all of them and then decided to speak.
"Obito" Naruto said "I'll take on glasses there; I fought him before so I know what to expect" he said and Obito nodded.
"I'll take on Misumi" Kankuro said as he readied crow "I should've killed that asshole back during the chunin exams" he said.
"I'll take on his partner in the sun glasses" Kurumi said gaining their attentions "I don't know why but I don't like him much" she said and Obito looked at her.
"Be careful sweetie; this is your first real fight" Obito said and Kurumi nodded.
"And be careful; he can suck the chakra out of you upon contact" Temari said as she readied her fan "me and Obito will take care of their back up" she said and Obito nodded.
"This is the first time I've been in battle in 13 years" Obito said "looks like it's time to knock off the rust" he said as he got ready.
Kabuto looking at Obito and Kurumi spoke up "men try and take the man, the blonde girl and the black-haired girl alive; and kill the rest" he said as he took out a kunai.
"Let's do this" Naruto shouted as he and his friends rushed into battle.
With Naruto
Naruto charged at Kabuto who in return rushed towards him; Naruto brought back his small fans and swung them forward sending blades of wind towards Kabuto. Kabuto jumped over the blades of wind and landed a few feet away from Naruto; Kabuto slashed at Naruto who took a step back and holstered his fans.
Kabuto slashed at Naruto once more only for Naruto to block with his left arm and throw a punch with his right; Kabuto moved his hand to block the punch. Suddenly the hidden blade on Naruto's gauntlet sprung out and stabbed Kabuto in the hand; Kabuto winced in pain as the blade pierced his hand.
Kabuto twisted his arm in turn twisting Naruto's and proceeded to kick Naruto in the face sending him skidding back; Naruto was able to stop himself and shook his head as the kick rattled him.
Kabuto began to heal his wound as he felt a stinging sensation come from his hand 'poison huh' he thought as he looked at the disguised Naruto 'maybe I'll have to take this a little more seriously' he thought as he began to create chakra scalpels with both of his hands.
'I hate you; I really fucking hate you' Naruto thought as he looked at Kabuto "ok four-eyes lets dance" he shouted as he charged at Kabuto.
With Kurumi
Kurumi ducked under a punch from Yoroi and retaliated with an uppercut making him spit up blood; Kurumi followed up with punch to the abdomen and a kick to the gut sending him skidding back. Yoroi spat up some more blood and looked at her with anger.
"You little shit" Yoroi shouted "you'll pay for that" he said and Kurumi took her fighting stance again.
"You know this is my first fight" Kurumi said "so either you really suck or I'm just amazing" she said and Yoroi growled.
"We'll see about that girl" Yoroi said as he charged at Kurumi; Kurumi quickly went through hand signs.
'Fire Style: Fireball jutsu' Kurumi fired a medium sized fire ball at Yoroi who dodged to the side; Kurumi seeing this took out 3 shuriken and threw them at Yoroi. Yoroi took out a kunai and blocked all three; his relief was short lived as he saw 3 more shuriken in the shadows of the original.
With no other choice Yoroi braced himself as one shuriken hit him in the leg, one in the arm and one in the gut; Yoroi proceeded to take out the shuriken and charge at Kurumi. 'Damn it; who is this girl' he thought as he re-engaged her in hand-to-hand combat.
With Obito and Temari
Temari swing her fan releasing out a giant gust of wind towards a group of Oto ninja; Obito seeing this went through hand signs.
'Fire style: Fire ball jutsu' Obito shot a massive fire ball towards the wind jutsu and created a massive fire storm; the fire went towards the group of 25 Oto ninja. The enemy ninja scattered as 24 of the ninjas escaped while one of them was not so lucky; the Oto ninja charged Temari and Obito and both got ready for battle.
An Oto ninja tried to stab Obito but Obito used his Kamui to phase through the attack; Obito once behind the ninja proceeded to grab him from behind and snap his neck killing him. 2 more Oto ninja attempted to attack him but he once again used his ability to phase through; Obito kicked the first ninja away before engaging the other.
The ninja attempted to kick him but Obito caught the leg and pulled him in close; Obito drove his elbow down on the ninjas knee breaking it and making him scream. Obito proceeded to sweep his leg and send him to the ground before stomping on his head.
Temari was also in combat as she swung her fan at an Oto ninja hitting him with the blunt side; fan due to its weight and velocity broke his skull killing him instantly. Another ninja came from behind and grabbed her; Temari taking a page from Naruto's fighting style stomped on his foot and head butted him with the back of her head hitting his nose.
The ninja let go and Temari turned around and swung her fan hitting him in the ribs breaking them; one of the ribs punctured his lung and he fell to the ground drowning on his own blood. Temari readied her fan as the other Oto shinobi began to charge her.
'Damn it' Temari thought 'why can't I have a normal mission' she thought as she got ready for battle once more.
With Sango
"Get out of my fuckin' house you bastards" Sango shouted as she slashed at an Oto shinobi with a meat cleaver. 2 Oto Shinobi who were hiding got into the house attempting to take Sango as a hostage were now struggling to take the house wife hostage.
"Goddamn it lets just kill her" one of the ninjas said.
"No damn it; Kabuto wants her alive" he said trying to grab the enraged woman.
"Fuck the both of ya" Sango shouted as she grabbed a kettle of hot water and threw it at one of the ninjas; the ninja was hit as the boiling water spilled all over him.
"Ahh, you bitch" he shouted as he wildly threw a kunai; the kunai hit a kerosine lantern causing it to start a fire. Sango used the opportunity to close in and drive the meat cleaver into his head killing him as his partner looked on in horror as his comrade was killed by the woman.
"I told ya to get outa' my fuckin' house" Sango shouted as she slashed at the other ninja as the fire began to spread throughout the house.
With Kankuro
Kankuro sent his puppet towards Misumi who was wisely keeping his distance from the puppet user as he did not want to make the same mistake as last time. Kankuro opened crows' mouth and shot out a volley of poisoned senbon at him.
Misumi dodged and threw several kunai at Kankuro; Kankuro opened a scroll and summoned out his ant puppet to block the kunai. Kankuro began to run and maneuver his puppets as he tried to gain the upper hand inside his fight; Misumi seeing this decided to close the distance as he knew Kankuro was not a close-range fighter.
Kankuro saw Misumi close in and got ready to put his plan into action; Kankuro brought crow in closer and brought it behind Misumi raising its arms up. 2 poisoned blades popped out and Misumi saw them as they approached; Misumi jumped out of the way to avoid being stabbed.
Misumi looked forward and saw Kankuro in front of him with his fist cocked back; Kankuro punched Misumi in the face sending him flying back. Misumi opened his eyes as he saw ant open its body; Misumi entered the puppet but grabbed the doors to keep them from shutting.
"Nice try buddy" Kankuro said running forward "but this is over" he said as he kicked Misumi in the chest sending him inside the puppet fully. Kankuro jumped back and broke apart crow sending the pieces up in the air and unleashing their blades.
"Let me out you fucking psycho" Misumi shouted from inside the puppet but Kankuro ignored him; Kankuro moving his arms and fingers brought down the bladed puppet parts.
"Art of the Iron Maiden" Kankuro shouted as the blades from crow entered the slits of ant; the blades entered and all screaming and struggling ceased as blood began to seep out of the cracks of the puppet. "Done with that" Kankuro said as he opened up ant letting Misumi's body drop to the ground "better go and help Temari" Kankuro said as he sealed up ant and ran with crow to find his sister.
With Kurumi
Kurumi was in a heated taijutsu battle with Yoroi as she was trying to avoid being grabbed by the boy and having her chakra drained. Yoroi threw a punch at Kurumi who saw the strike due to her sharingan; Kurumi blocked and grabbed a hold of the arm.
Kurumi using a jujitsu move her father taught her twisted the limb making Yoroi lean forward; Kurumi threw a kick at his face but her leg was caught and began to feel the effects of Yoroi's technique. Kurumi still having a free leg kicked him in the face breaking his grip; Kurumi proceeded to perform a sweeping leg kick sending Yoroi to the ground face first.
Still holding onto his arm Kurumi rolled over his back popping the arm out of socket making Yoroi scream; Kurumi finished him off by punching him in the temple knocking him out. Kurumi now breathing heavy took out some rope from her back pocket "bastard" Kurumi said as she began to tie up the unconscious enemy "that'll hold ya" she said standing back up.
Kurumi then looked off into the distance and saw her house on fire and became worried "ma" she said as she began to run towards the house; as she approached the door burst open and a Oto ninja falling out with a meat cleaver in his chest.
"Ya bastard; die" Sango shouted as she grabbed the cleaver and began to hack the ninja to death in a display of brutality that made Kurumi shudder.
'Damn ma; take it easy' Kurumi thought.
With Naruto
Naruto and Kabuto continued their battle as neither of them were able to gain the upper hand; Naruto using his blade and Kabuto using his chakra scalpel to try and cut down Naruto. Kabuto swung his chakra blade at Naruto who dodged just as the blade contacted his chest cutting him; Naruto countered with a spinning kick which Kabuto blocked but the force knocked him away.
Naruto looked down at his wound and saw it already being healed 'thanks fox' Naruto thought.
"My what an interesting healing power" Kabuto said standing a few yards away "tell me do you have a kekkei genkai" he asked and Naruto flinched.
"Y-yeah I'm the last of my clan" Naruto said "my name is Menma" he said trying to not let Kabuto know it was him.
"Well, Menma I'd really like to know you and that power better" Kabuto said getting ready to go back into the fight "I think some dissection and experimenting would be a good start" he said making Naruto shudder.
Kabuto charged at Naruto who prepared for the battle; Naruto reached into his pouch and took out 4 shuriken and held it in his hand. Naruto charged up his shuriken with wind chakra and threw them at Kabuto; Kabuto seeing the shuriken prepared to block the projectiles.
However, Kabuto was caught off guard when the shuriken went through his chakra scalpels; 2 shuriken missed and 2 hit Kabuto once in the arm and once in the shoulder going in deeper than a normal shuriken should.
'Wind chakra; how careless of me' Kabuto thought as he closed in on Naruto; Kabuto swung at Naruto and Naruto proceeded to duck and slash back at Kabuto with his blade. Kabuto blocked and grabbed Naruto's arm and twisted it making Naruto bend forward; Kabuto kicked Naruto in the face cracking his mask but not destroying it.
Naruto recovering from the kick retaliated by breaking free from Kabuto's grip and spinning trying to cut Kabuto with his blade; Kabuto leaned out of the way dodging the blade but went wide eyed when he say what was in Naruto's other hand.
Naruto using the spin to charge up his small fan and hit Kabuto point blank with a blade of wind; Kabuto was hit by the blade of wind and was sent flying back rolling on the ground before getting to his feet. Kabuto got back up holding his bleeding chest.
Kabuto began to heal his body before he was hit so he was able to avoid being killed; the blade of wind cut 4 inches deep and nicked his heart and one of his lungs. Kabuto's wound now fully healed looked at Naruto breathing heavily as he had to use a lot of chakra for that last attack.
'Who the hell is this kid' Kabuto wondered as he got ready for round 3.
With Temari, Obito and Kankuro
Obito dodged a kunai thrust from an Oto ninja and grabbed his arm; Obito proceeded to twist and break it grabbing the kunai and stabbing it into his neck killing him. Obito sensed another presence behind him and used his ability to phase; another Oto ninja attempted to stab him in the back but went through him and stabbed his dead comrade much to his confusion. Obito now behind him grabbed him from behind and snapped his neck. Obito looked over to Temari and saw she was wrapping up her battle as well; Temari jumped back to gain some distance as 10 Oto ninja stood a good distance away.
Temari seeing her field of fire was clean bit her thumb and rubbed the blood on the fan and wound her fan back 'Summoning Jutsu: Quick Beheading dance'; Temari proceeded to swing her fan forward creating a powerful gust of wind and summoning out a white weasel holding a scythe.
The attack was devastating as the 10 Oto ninja who were there were no longer identifiable as they were cut to pieces by both the wind and the summoning creature. Temari took a deep breath as she looked over to Kankuro a he finished off the last Oto ninja.
Kankuro using his Crow puppet to drive the Oto ninja back; the ninja tried to hop back but was greeted by a poison smoke bomb from the puppets mouth. The smoke bomb hit the ninja and he breathed in some of it as he began to feel his lungs begin to burn; the ninja jumped out of the smoke and was greeted by crow with both arms out and blades coming out.
The blades buried themselves into the ninjas chest killing him; Kankuro recalled his puppet an looked at both Temari and Obito who were done with their battles.
"Are y'all done now" Kurumi said as she walked up with Sango and a bound Yoroi "I caught this bastard for interrogation" she said and Obito nodded.
"Good job sweetie" Obito said with pride making his daughter blush "Sango are you ok" he asked and Sango pointed over to the burning house.
"No, I ain't ok" Sango said both angrily and sadly "them bastards burned down the house my daddy built" she said and Obito clenched his fists.
"Damn it" Obito cursed "start a new life and now it comes crumbling down" he said.
"Come on we still have to see if Naruto is ok" Temari said and they all nodded.
"Y'all go" Sango said taking the rope holding Yoroi "I'll take care of our guest" she said and everyone nodded and began to go towards where Naruto and Kabuto were last seen.
With Naruto
Naruto and Kabuto were both bleeding from multiple cuts and breathing heavily as neither were able to gain the upper hand in their fight.
'Damn four-eyed asshole' Naruto thought as he got back into his taijutsu stance.
'Quite a formidable opponent' Kabuto thought as his wounds healed; Kabuto was about to commence another attack but saw Temari, Obito, Kankuro and Kurumi running towards them 'looks like my men were defeated' he thought. "Well, Menma looks like we'll have to continue this fight another time" Kabuto said as he went through hand signs "until then tata" he said as he disappeared in a swirl of leaves.
"Hey get back here" Naruto shouted but was too late; Temari and the others ran up, Temari grabbed onto Naruto and pulled him into a hug.
"Na- Menma are you ok" Temari said and Naruto nodded.
"Other than getting my ass kicked and cut up yeah" Naruto said as they broke the hug; Naruto looked to Obito and Kurumi and spoke "how's " Naruto asked and Obito turned around and pointed at the smoldering ruins of his house.
"She's pissed about the house" Obito said "but we're all alive and that's what's important" Obito said and Naruto nodded.
"I captured one of them ninjas" Kurumi said "I gotta say I don't think I was bad considering this was ma first fight" she said and Obito ruffled her hair.
"Well, I did train you" Obito said with pride in his voice "but damn what are we going to do now; it's not like we can stay because those bastards could come back again" he said.
"You can come back with us to Suna" Kankuro said "I know that Kabuto joker from the invasion; he's a cunning and cold bastard, if he comes back and we're not around he could overwhelm you and your family" he said and Obito nodded.
"Right; Kurumi lets grab your mother and the prisoner and let's get going, best to not stick around after all that racket" Obito said and Kurumi nodded.
"Gotch pa" Kurumi said as she ran off to get her mother and Yoroi.
"Damn it" Naruto said rubbing his temples "how could this happen" he wondered as he started walking to where Kurumi ran off to. "Let's go guys" Naruto said and Temari, Kankuro and Obito followed.
3 days later: Suna, Kazekage office
Naruto, Temari, Kankuro and Obito were all standing in front of Gaara who was looking at the very lengthy after mission report Naruto, Temari and Kankuro presented. Gaara let out a deep sigh as he rubbed his temples.
'This job is getting more stressful' Gaara thought as he focused on the 4 individuals in front of him "I sent you on a simple humanitarian mission and you uncovered a plot to kidnap children for an unknown reason, faked your death for a second time and found a missing Konoha ninja who's been living a quite life before his home got burned down" Gaara said and Naruto nodded while rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, it kinda went off the rails" Naruto said "but hey no one died… except for Natsu" he said and Temari smacked the back of his head.
"This is no time for jokes Naruto" Temari said "because of that Oto ninja that Kurumi captured we now have 2 more problems to add to the list; Orochimaru wants either me or Kankuro to be his next vessel and now that Kabuto found out that Obito and Kurumi are Uchiha's they'll be going after them now" she said and Obito stepped forward.
"Lord Kazekage, my family is all I have left; please help us I can't go back to Konoha nor do I want to considering what they did to Naruto" Obito said "please help us" he asked and Gaara nodded.
"Of course; you helped my ninja in their hour of need and you will be repaid" Gaara said as he reached into his desk and pulled out 2 Suna head bands "you and you daughter seem to be quite skilled individuals; so, I will offer you the rank of jonin and you daughter a trail period of genin" Gaara said making Obito go wide eyed. "If you do so you and you family will be given sanctuary and anonymity; all I ask is that you hide your face as to not be recognized and use your alias of 'Tobi'" he said.
Obito walked over to the desk and looked down at the 2 head bands knowing full well what will happen to him and his daughter if they accept 'it's not like I have a lot of options' Obito thought as he picked up a headband and tied it around his right bicep. "You got a deal lord Kazekage" Obito said and Gaara nodded "I'll talk to my daughter about becoming a ninja; I'm sure she'll say yes but it would be best if I asked her first" Obito said and Gaara nodded.
"Of course, Obito" Gaara said as he took out a piece of paper and wrote down on it "as of right now you are the jounin sensei of Team Tobi; your team will consist of Naruto, Kurumi and Temari" Gaara said.
Naruto and Temari both turned to Obito with smiles on their faces.
"Nice to have you 'Tobi Sensei'" Naruto said with a chuckle.
"I'm sure everything will work out great" Temari said and Obito smiled.
"Thanks for having me" Obito said.
"Now then you will have 4 days of R&R and once that time is up you will return here" Gaara said "and since you are a new team and need to build up team work, I think a couple D-rank missions will be a great benefit to you 4" Gaara said with a sadistic smile.
Naruto, Temari and Obito paled as they looked at Gaara and saw he wasn't kidding.
"Oh god" Obito said in horror.
"Gaara please, no" Temari begged.
"No freaking way" Naruto shouted in protest.
"To late; get out, office is closed" Gaara said dismissing all 4 of them; they all walked out of the building and Kankuro looked over to the newly formed team. All 3 had angry looks on their faces and were clenching their fists.
"Uh… guys are you ok" Kankuro asked and they all looked up to the sky and took a deep breath.
"FUCK" They all shouted in unison.
