Chapter 1: The aftermath of the portal.
8:13pm. Night time.
The playground.
The sky feels more chilly, like the wind came through your body. The swings move a bit slowly.
Out of nowhere, the wind swirls as the portal begins to open nearby the swings. Sasha, Marcy come out of the portal. Sasha and Marcy look around the playground they once met, hang out and the place where they first visit Amphibia.
A few moments later, Anne came through the portal. Just about three steps, she looks back as the portal began to close, forever. Anne looks back where the portal was. She stood there with Marcy and Sasha stared at her. Anne realized that this will be the last time where she'll never get to see the Planters or anyone in Amphibia ever again, as she recalls them as they're families and friends.
"You know," Anne said, "it's funny. One minute ago, I never thought I would want to come home after being trapped in another world, but the next minute, you just can't leave because it feels like we're home and our families as well."
She then looks back at Sasha and Marcy, asking them a question.
"Do you guys think we made the right decision? Leaving everyone we love?"
"Well, the stones only gave us one way travel," Marcy replied,"but it feels wrong at the same time."
"I know it was hard to leave Amphibia," Sasha replied as well, "but with the core gone, they can now live peacefully. And we have life to live."
"Yeah, I know." Anne said. "It's just that place that helped me to resolve my mistakes. Even you guys learned it. So why do I feel like I…"
Anne then felt her hair, thinking it was a bug. As she reached her hair, she felt something soft and pulled it out of her hair.
"Huh, must be a bug," Anne said.
Then she was shocked to see what it was. It was one leaf she still has since she left. She begins to feel emotion as it is triggered by one simple leaf as a reminder of Amphibia.
Her face begins to swivel from shaking to the face when someone learns that they lost a friend from the shooting. Her eyes begin to fill with water like the cup was filling up with water. She remembers it so much that she tried to hold back. Marcy and Sasha looked at each other, notifying them to calm their friend down with Marcy approaching Anne, followed by Sasha.
"Hey," Marcy said, "are you okay?"
"Anne," Sasha added in, "It's okay if you miss them. I miss Grime, Percy and Braddock so much too. Marcy also misses Miss Olivia and General Yunan."
As Sasha kept talking, Anne just stood there, holding back her tears because she didn't want them to see her crying like a baby.
"Sure it was painful to say goodbyes to our friends," Sasha added in, "It's just we had to return to our life and these guys had their own lives as well. If they're gonna be okay, then I trust them and so can you. Because they're far from here, doesn't mean they're not here." Sasha pointed at Anne's chest with her index finger, referring to her heart.
Anne's eye began to seem to overflow as if the bridge was cracked. She was touched emotionally to hear Sasha's statement. However, Anne is still holding it in.
Marcy then steps in after realizing what Sasha said. She got closer and walked right next to Sasha and almost close to Anne.
"Sasha's right, Anne," Marcy said, "and just like you said, 'Not distance or time can break the bond that we share because nothing can take away the memories of the time we spent together.' We believe this because of you. The times we share a bond with our new friends over there are unforgettable to us."
Marcy then lifted her hands towards Anne and touched Anne's hands.
"As long as we don't forget them,..." Marcy continued as she grabbed Anne's hands tightly, "...they'll always be in our memories and our hearts."
Anne's eyes begin to shatter in tears like the water just popped out like a volcano. She felt very emotional that she dropped to her knees on the ground. She cried so much as it sounded like a recent break-up by an ex.
As she continued to cry, Sasha and Marcy knelt down next to Anne by her sides, wrapping around her with their arms, hugging Anne together.
Anne begins to speak as she's still crying.
"Thanks guys," Anne said, "I needed this so much."
As they're still hugging each other, Sasha and Marcy joined in with tears.
