"Hey, old woman!" A voice that she knew very well called out to her as her thought process was broken. Maiya always hated it when he called her that but still loved the boy, she adopted with every fiber of her being. Maiya had lost her child fifteen years ago…

… But now she has found a new child who can be the son she always wanted.

'You always just follow orders… even in the face of Armageddon. Never once doing a damn thing to actually do something that you believe is right… That's always been the difference between us, Maiya.' Those were Kiritsugu's last words to her, even though he may have been right about how Maiya used to be…

… He was wrong now. Maiya saved Shirou because SHE wanted to. So even if the Fourth Holy Grail War had no meaning for the people involved… and the ones who died... it had meaning for Maiya as she was finally starting her own life. One that she can be proud of.

"If you're so tired then you're gonna fall asleep! Got to bed!" Shirou spoke with a smile on his face. Both Maiya and Shirou were outside looking at the night sky full of stars. Maiya and Shirou were living in a large household that Kiritsugu procured before the War in case the Einzbern Castle was destroyed though they never got to use it until the War ended.

"Huh… right. I'm fine." Maiya spoke as she looked at the sea of stars above her. Shirou noticed this but wasn't convinced. Shirou was about to say something, but Maiya beat him to the punch.

"When I was little… I met this guy who really wanted to be a hero." Maiya admitted as she reminisced about Kiritsugu. This annoyed Shirou.

"What are you talking about? Did this guy ever become a hero?" Shirou asked. Maiya struggled with how to answer the boy's question. But after a few seconds, she chose to answer it to the best of her ability.

"Maybe he did. He saved a lot of people. But he also killed a lot more. I want to believe he became the person he wished to be at the end… but I don't think he did. Unfortunately… I'm sure that he died with regrets." Maiya admitted with an expression full of sorrow on her face. Shirou noticed this.

"I see… I'm sorry. I guess… there's nothing that can be done about it." Shirou replied.

"It's ok… but you're right… it can't be helped." Maiya replied. A silence lasted for a few more seconds until-

"It really is a nice moon tonight." Maiya admitted but Shirou ignored her as he had already made his own decision.

"Fine. Since that guy can't do it… I'll do it for him." Shirou declared with a smile on his face.

"Huh?" Maiya muttered but Shirou continued.

"He can't do it anymore since he kicked the bucket. People die when they are killed after all… but I'm alive! Which means I can become a hero! Just leave it to me! I can make it happen!" Shirou declared with an expression full of resolve on his face.

"Alright… you do that. But if you really want to become a hero… then I'll have to tell you more about him. I'll tell you the story of Kiritsugu Emiya… my hero." Maiya replied with a bright smile on her face.

"It all began when he saved me fifteen years ago…" Maiya continued as she told the story of the Hero of Justice Kiritsugu Emiya to Shirou, the man she loved with every fiber of her being as a new Hero of Justice was about to take his place. But that's a story for another time. This is the end.

Fate/Absolute Zero: The End

Or is it?

Epilogue: The Witches Tea Party

Two young girls sat across from each other as they elegantly sipped on tea. One had long purple hair and a maid's outfit. The other had short blonde hair and a turquoise dress. But these two should be familiar as they were both Witches.

"Hey, Berny." Manaka spoke as a vein bulged from Bern's head.

"Enough with that incessant nickname." Bern replied as she put her teacup down.

"Aw what?! You don't like it?!" Manaka yelled out with a face full of surprise.

'W-When did I ever say I liked it?' Bern thought internally as sweat dripped down her face profusely.

"Anyway… what now? What are we going to do next?" Manaka asked.

"The same as we've done for a while… wait. Wait for the eventual Fifth Holy Grail War to happen. Because that's when she'll strike." Bern replied.

"The true culprit, you mean? How can you be so sure?" Manaka asked.

"Because that's where everything truly began… and ended. That's how I know. The culprit who resurrected you as a Witch. The culprit who kidnapped Ayaka from her world. The Culprit who influenced Lambda. They are all the same person. I know she's laughing at us as she undoubtedly knows that we don't know her identity…" Bern spoke but paused for a few seconds until-

"… But next time… we will figure out who she really is. Next time… we will save Ayaka. And next time… we will stop her." Bern replied.

"You're right… she won't get away with that 'Crisis' she's planning. So, we'll both stop her…" Manaka replied but paused for a few seconds until-

"… When the Fifth Holy Grail War begins." Bern and Manaka spoke in unison as they waited for the upcoming Fifth Holy Grail War to occur as well as the next story to begin.

Meanwhile… inside of the Grail

"… I will escape this damn place. I must get my revenge against all the people who wronged me! One day soon… I'll destroy the Earth through any means necessary." Yapool declared while they were in a white void full of nothing but himself. But then…

"Hey… if you really mean that…" A voice spoke in their head as Yapool's eyes shot wide open. The voice then took the form of a young woman with long purple hair that featured two horns that encircled her head. The woman wore a kimono as well as a green sash that draped over her right arm and had a medal on it.

"W-Who the hell are you?!" Yapool yelled out with a dumbfounded expression as they had not encountered anyone, not even Angra Mainyu since Eren wished for them to be trapped inside of the Grail. The woman noticed this and smiled.

"I'll introduce myself. I'm the Witch of Theatergoing. My name is Featherine Augustus Aurora" The woman named Featherine replied as she revealed her identity to the red alien without a care in the world. And then…

"Now where was I? Oh yes. If you really are serious about destroying the Earth, then how about we work together to ensure that not only this Earth gets destroyed…" Featherine continued but paused for a few seconds until-

"… But ALL Earths get destroyed." Featherine finished with a sadistic smile on her face. A silence occurred for approximately thirty seconds until-

"I've dealt with your kind before! How do I know you won't betray me?!" Yapool yelled out.

"You don't. But I can assure you that if you cooperate with me then you will get what you want. Your revenge against not just Waver Velvet but the entire human race! As well as the Autobots too! That I can promise!" Featherine shouted while maintaining her sadistic smile. A few more seconds passed until-

"Fine! But only if you help me escape this place!" Yapool replied with a sadistic smile of his own.

"Deal." Featherine replied.

'Snap!' Featherine then snapped her fingers as she and Yapool were teleported to somewhere else.

"We have a lot of work to do… when the Fifth Holy Grail War begins." Featherine spoke with a truly horrifying smile on her face as another story was going to begin in the not-so-distant future…

… A story that may signal the end of all of humanity across infinite Earths.
