Present Day

Location: Ord Mantell

Aurora's POV

I sighed in annoyance as I watched Cid shout at a couple of her regulars for spilling some of her expensive liquor all over the floor. Both were extremely drunk and disoriented, and practically staggering out of the bar as Cid chased them out, claiming that her bar was a, and I quote, 'classy establishment'.

"People have no manners these days." She said in annoyance as she walked back behind the bar.

"You're telling me." I replied as I stroked Geenine's bronze dome.

"How many times have I told you to keep Shiny out of the bar. I've got a classy place here, and Shiny's got to go." Cid began making Geenine moan in annoyance.

"Cid, the only person who thinks this is a classy establishment, is you." I began making her groan. "And besides, I'm the main source of income for you, because I do all of these crazy jobs for you…so I of all people should have freedom to do whatever I please in here."

"Blondie, you drive a hard bargain…but you're lucky I like you." She replied with a small frown making me smile in amusement.

"Shiny…not so much." She continued making me roll my eyes.

Just as I was about to reply, my commlink went off. I sighed before walking into Cid's office and closing the door behind me so that she and no one else wouldn't hear the conversation. As soon as I answered it, a holographic image of Ahsoka appeared before me. She looked to be on a rather cold planet somewhere, but what took me by surprise was that she had Artoo with her, but no sight of Anakin.

"Ahsoka, Artoo, you both look like a popsicle." I said with a small smirk, but surprisingly she didn't once react to my joke.

"Ro, I need you to come to the coordinates I'm sending. I'm in trouble." She began.

"What's wrong?" I asked in confusion.

"I was on Mandalore…and you weren't there. Your mother said that you were handling business on Coruscant for her…but from the looks of it, you are neither on Mandalore nor on Coruscant." Ahsoka began.

"Well, you're right about one thing, I am neither or Mandalore nor Coruscant…I'm on Ord Mantell. And for the record I am taking care of business…my business. Now what's wrong, why are you and Artoo two steps away from becoming frozen in ice? Where's Anakin?" I asked in confusion.

"He's not here. Artoo and I are on Carlac…we're here with Lux Bonteri." She began.

"Bonteri?" I questioned. "Why?"

She sighed. "Long story on how we got here, but the problem is that he contacted a group here on Carlac and he joined their cause to help get revenge on Dooku for killing his mother. He's taken my lightsabers."

"What group?" I asked.

She frowned. "Death Watch."

My eyes widened. "You've got to be fucking kidding me…Ahsoka are you insane! Get out of there now!"

She shook her head. "I can't there's no way I can get out of here by myself, and I won't leave Lux."

I sighed and crossed my arms. I vowed to never go back to Death Watch again, but here I was, once again, heading back into the once place I'd never want to go again.

I sighed again. "I'll be there as fast as I can…keep your head down, and make sure Bonteri doesn't do anything stupid."

She nodded before ending the call. I groaned in annoyance as I walked back out into the bar.

"What's wrong now? Is your twin is calling you back for crown fittings?" Cid joked but noticed my stern expression, so her expression immediately changed. "What's wrong?"

"I need to go to Carlac, a friend of mine is in trouble with Death Watch." I explained.

Cid said nothing but nodded me and Geenine out of the bar. It felt like only a few seconds to get to my starfighter, and quickly pilot it into hyperspace so we could head towards Carlac. Within a few moments the snowy, icy tundra of Carlac appeared, and I felt a deep pit in my stomach. I honestly felt I was going to vomit. Geenine moaned with caution.

"Yeah, I know…I'm not looking forward to this either." I explained to her, as I landed my ship near a Republic shuttle.

'This must be the ship they used to get here.' I thought to myself as I wrapped myself in a hooded cowl, I always brought with me when I went on snowy assignments like this. I got out of my starfighter and Geenine blasted out of the droid port, and just from the way she blasted out, I could tell, she was not looking forward to this.

Based on the location of where the ship was parked, I knew that the Death Watch camp wasn't very far. Even though I haven't been to the Carlac camp in quite a few years, I still remember its location, almost as if it's instilled in my brain.

"Well, there's no speeder's nearby." I began as I turned to Geenine. "Looks like we're going to have to make the trek on foot."

She moaned in annoyance.

I rolled my eyes and smirked as I began to walk to the camp with Geenine rolling beside me. "Come on, don't you want to see Ba'vodu Bo?"

Geenine moaned again.

I nodded in agreement. "Yeah, me neither."

As we continued to walk through the snowy forest in the direction of the camp, I began to hear voices. I immediately stopped in my tracks and Geenine stopped in hers as well. I closed my eyes and tried to focus in on the voices, which is when I realized that they weren't voices they were screams, and they weren't coming from the Death Watch camp, but from a nearby village. My eyes immediately shot open, and I ran as fast as I could in the direction of the village with Geenine quickly following behind me.

Eventually we came up on the outskirts of the village, which is when I saw the flames engulf all the buildings. We were too late. Fuck.

I immediately climbed one of the walls of the buildings, and up to the rooftop and began to scope out the land. I saw Ahsoka standing down below in shock at what was happening, and I saw my aunt and Pre looking rather pleased at the fact another civilization was being destroyed by them. That's when I noticed that one of the soldiers torching one of the buildings. I immediately ran along the rooftops and jumped onto the roof the soldier was on and tackled him. Once he was laying down on the rooftop, I grabbed the dagger I had in my belt, took off his helmet and slit his throat, killing him instantly. I felt some of his blood splatter my face, but at this point, I didn't care, right now, I want to kill every single member of Death Watch that's here, including my aunt and Pre.

I noticed Ahsoka was having difficulty keeping up with the amount of Death Watch soldiers coming at her. That's when I jumped down off the roof and landed right beside her, vambraces activated, and 100% ready to go. I noticed Pre's eyes widen, and I could tell that my aunt was pissed, even though she was wearing her helmet. All eyes were on me.

I smirked. "Miss me assholes?"

"It took you long enough." Ahsoka explained as she placed her back to mine.

"Well, you know me, I always want to make a dramatic entrance." I said with a smirk.

Just as I was about to attack the surrounding soldiers, I felt an electric pulse run through my body, making me fall to the ground. The last thing I heard was someone, probably Ahsoka screaming my name, but other than that, that was the last thing I remember.

The next thing I remember was being awoken with a large batch of cold water being poured on top of me. I gasped in shock as my eyes immediately shot open and I looked around where I was. I made eye contact with my aunt who was standing in front of me, helmet off, arms crossed.

I tried to avoid her and make conversation with the two lieutenants that she had pour the water on me.

"Jax!" I exclaimed in a sarcastic happy tone. "I still see that you're keeping your kill counts tracked, made it to 64 I see…you must be proud of yourself."

Jax grunted at me behind his helmet. "You shouldn't have come back here Aurora, after betraying us."

I glared at him; he was such a cold ass prick. I hated him so much, but then again, he was one of the few that knew how to hold their own…in other words, he wasn't easy to kill.

"Leave us." My aunt instructed Jax and the other lieutenant that I didn't know.

Once we were left alone, I was faced with my aunt who looked at me in disappointment.

"Out of every single one of the soldiers I trained, you would be the least I would've expected to betray me." She began disappointment heavy in her tone.

"I didn't betray you, you betrayed me." I countered.

"You had one job, to work for Dooku until we could take over Mandalore and…" She continued but I cut her off.

"And what?" I spat from my spot in the chair that I was handcuffed to. "And kill my mother? And force Zara into slavery? And force Korkaran to become a warrior, or would you kill my brother too?"

Her eyes widened. "How do you know that?"

My eyes narrowed. "I learned a lot of things about myself while I was away from you…things I probably would've never known if I hadn't had left."

"I did this to protect you!" Bo shouted at me.

"From what?" I shouted back. "My mother? Or the fact that all you ever wanted was to be in power?"

"Still fiery as ever I see." A familiar voice said from behind me.

I knew that voice all too well. I sighed in annoyance as Pre came into view as my aunt put her helmet back on. He whispered something to her that mentioned Ahsoka, so she walked out and most likely went to go and see Ahsoka in the next tent over.

Once we were alone, he frowned at me.

"What?" I asked with sarcasm. "Did you miss seeing my beautiful face?"

His response was a punch to my left eye. I groaned in pain, but honestly it wasn't that bad, I've been punched by a beskar covered glove before.

"Out of everyone who's left us, I cannot believe you of all people would betray us." He began. "I gave you everything."

"You gave me nothing!" I spat back. "You bartered me to work for Dooku, you used me! I was just a pawn in your game for power!"

"I treated you like you were my own daughter!" He spat back.

"You have a son, who left for the same reasons I did! You are nothing more than a power hungry greedy…" I began but was met with another punch to the face.

He then grabbed my throat.

"Don't you dare bring my son into this." He threatened before releasing my throat and walking out of the tent.

As soon as he was gone, I began to get out of the handcuffs I was in. Once I was out of them, I immediately stood up and touched my left eye. I could feel it swelling by the minute, but what made both of my eyes widen was the sound of gunfire. I quickly walked out of the tent and saw that Ahsoka, Artoo, Geenine, Lux, and all the other droids that Death Watch used for target practice were fighting against Pre, my aunt, and the rest of the soldiers. Eventually I saw Lux get into a speeder with Artoo and Geenine, and Ahsoka and I followed suit, climbing on as well. As we took off, I grabbed both blasters out of my holster.

"Are you alright? Did Pre hurt you?" I ask looking at Ahsoka.

She shook her head. "No, are you ok?" She asked gesturing to my eye.

I shrugged her off. "I will be once we get off this goddamn planet…what the hell were you thinking?" I asked Lux who shrugged.

"I thought it was a good idea at the time Aurora." Lux began.

"It's Your Royal Highness." I spat back as I stood up and got my blasters ready.

I saw Ahsoka's eyes widen, I don't know if it was at me, or at my aunt and her lieutenants flying in. I fired at one, taking him down, and Ahsoka used her lightsabers to cut the other one down. The only one that was left was my aunt, who landed on the speeder and began to attack both of us. Ahsoka and I quickly fought her off, and eventually, the five of us made it back to the ships, with no Death Watch in sight…thankfully. We immediately took off and headed toward Coruscant.

"Meet you back at Coruscant." I explained over the coms to Ahsoka.

"Copy that." She replied right before I activated the hyperdrive on my starfighter.

A few moments later, I came out of hyperspace, with Ahsoka's ship following me to the landing pad. Eventually, we were escorted back to the Jedi Temple, and unlike Ahsoka, who was escorted into a High Council meeting, I was taken to my favorite place in the entire galaxy…the infirmary.

The doctors were concerned about my left eye with how swollen it was and were concerned about possible vision lost. Thankfully, even though my vision was slightly blurry now, it would eventually heal in the next couple of days. I was sitting on an infirmary bed when Obi-Wan came in.

"Did you bring me anything?" I ask with a small smirk.

"Like what?" He asked as he sat down next to me.

"Tihaar?" I asked and he shook his head no making me frown. "Oh."

"The doctors say to keep icing it for the next few days to keep the swelling down." Obi-Wan explained. "Are you okay?"

I shrugged. "I guess, think of it this way, I only killed one guy."

He nodded. "That's a start…but you really shouldn't be killing anyone."

I nodded. "It's almost like a reflex. When I get mad, all I want is to murder anyone in sight. But this time I only killed one person."

He sighed.

I smiled. "See, our talking sessions are working! I'm making progress! Instead of killing everyone, I only killed one person!"

He gave me a small smile and nodded. "Baby steps Aurora, baby steps.

Third Person's POV

"She saved me out there." Ahsoka explained to Anakin as the two of them watch Aurora and Obi-Wan's exchange from behind the glass.

"I'm glad you made it out alive…both of you." He replied.

"I now get why she is the way she is." She explained to Anakin.

He turned to her. "What do you mean?"

Ahsoka sighed. "When I was at that Death Watch camp, and what they did to an entire village, how they murdered innocent people and families, I now get why Ro has all the trauma she does. Imagine enduring that all the time, always trying to prove you are the best…I can't believe she endured that for so long. How she didn't crack under the pressure…I can't believe she enjoyed killing people."

Anakin shook his head. "She recently told me she hated killing people…that she can still remember the screams and pleads of every person she's killed, she told me she gets nightmares at night."

"I have to admit, without her, I don't think I'd be standing here right now." Ahsoka replied with a nod.

"Me too Snips. Me too."
