I DO NOT OWN THE RAGE: CARRIE 2. SHOUTOUT TO SAMLEM15.
After the film was paused, everyone was talking amongst themselves at what they had seen so far. Eric and Mark were talking amidst themselves while Tracy and her girls were anxiously whispering about what they had seen. Jesse quickly took Rachel behind the bleachers before his parents could give him any Hell.
"Rachel...about Lisa...I knew that Eric was being an asshole...but." Jesse muttered as Rachel tried to calm herself down.
"He destroyed her Jesse, Lisa thought that she actually loved him, but he ruined her!" Rachel said in anger.
"I know and I promise you. His ass is going down." Jesse vowed as he took Rachel's hands in his. "I'll get my hands on the book and i'll take it to the cops."
"Jesse, your name is in that book. You'll go down too!" Rachel exclaimed as she shook her head and held onto the love of her life.
"Maybe...maybe that's what I deserve. I was a part of this shit, I can't say that I wasn't." Jesse said wistfully as his face was filled with guilt.
"No Jesse, you don't." Rachel growled as she made Jesse look at her eyes. "What you did was a mistake, what Eric did was a choice. You're sorry right?"
"More sorry then i've ever been in my life." Jesse assured her as Rachel leaned in and kissed him deeply.
"Then that's good enough for me." she assured him as they heard someone clearing their throat. They both turned to see Jesse's mom standing behind them.
"They're going to start the film up again, you both should get back." Mrs. Ryan said softly.
"We're coming mom." Jesse said as he gave Rachel's hand a squeeze before heading back to his seat. Rachel was about to head back as well before Bonnie stopped her.
"Um Rachel...i'm sorry about...everything..." Jesse's mom started to say.
"It's fine, I don't need your pity." Rachel snapped.
"It's not pity, Rachel!" Mrs. Ryan snapped in return. "I see how my son looks at you and believe you me, that is the way every girl wants to be looked at. He loves you. You are important to him and that makes you important to me, got it?" Rachel wasn't used to having people care about her; but she'd be lying if she said it didn't feel good.
"Got it." Rachel said as Bonnie walked her back with an arm around her.
"We're playing!" Principal Faulkner said as everyone prepared themselves for what would come next.
The scene showed Rachel, Ms. Snell, and a police officer in her office. The officer was reading Lisa's suicide note.
"For a moment I thought someone was actually seeing me but it was all a lie." The officer read out loud. "Eric lied when he said I was special, and I was lying to myself. I believed him."
"Rachel, is there anything in there that strikes a chord for you?" Ms. Snell asked. "Do you know what Lisa was referring to?"
Yesterday she, uh...She told me she lost her virginity." Rachel admitted as the officer held up a picture of Lisa and Eric together.
"Damn it, you said you were going to get that back!" Eric exclaimed angrily at Mark.
"I tried man, Rachel was being a dyke!" Mark shouted back as they were suddenly pelted by angry students.
"Boy, you don't know how much trouble you're in." Mr. Bing growled as he pulled his son back into his seat.
"Do you know this boy?" the officer asked.
"Eric Stark, he's on the team." Rachel answered.
Everyone heard Eric groan as he knew his ass was grass. He could feel every eye ball in the gymnasium focused on him and him alone.
"Can I talk to you?" the officer asked Sue as she got up from her seat.
"Excuse us, Rachel." Sue said as she walked out with the officer.
Robbie, I had a freshman girl crying last week." Sue said as soon as they were out of ear shot. "Five more have been in my office this semester. I couldn't get anything out of them, but... their friends told me football players slept with them, then dumped them."
"Fucking pigs!" one girl shouted as every girl started booing the football team, Rachel included. Even Jesse's mom got in on it.
"It's not illegal to break a girl's heart." Officer Robbie pointed out.
"Eric is 18, Lisa was 16. That's statutory rape." Sue pointed out in return.
"That's a stretch." Robbie said.
"Well let's make it, before someone else's daughter jumps off a building." Sue said angrily.
"Sue...listen. Are you sure you're not still trying to save a girl that died 20 years ago?" Robbie asked calmly.
The scene then changed to a locker room where a wide eyes girl was being pelted with tampons.
Sue looked horrified while Jesse's dad gasped.
"Carrie White...it can't be..." he gasped as everyone else was confused.
"Help me!" Carrie cried out in pain.
"Plug it up! Plug it up!" all of the girls shouted as a young Sue Snell was seen throwing tampons with the other bitches.
The scene then changed back to Sue and the officer; an uncomfortable silence between them.
"Okay. I'll look into it." Officer Robbie said as he saw the haunted look on Sue's face.
Principal Faulkner paused the DVD as everyone looked at Ms. Snell.
"Sue...why was your teen aged self throwing tampons at a girl?" the principal inquired as Sue looked at the ground in shame.
"Have you heard of Carrie white?" she asked quietly.
"Yeah, our counselor told us that black prom story at summer camp when I was 11." Tracy said with an eye roll.
"That's all she is, just a story to scare dumb little kids." Mark agreed.
"Carrie White is not some scary story, nor is she an object of ridicule!" Adam Ryan said as he stood up. "She is an example of what happens when assholes like you go too far!"
"Dad...what are you talking about?" Jesse asked in shock.
"I went to high school with Sue...and Carrie." Mr. Ryan said dejectedly. "I saw how those rich bitches tortured her day in and day out. Chris Hargensen and her posse made life Hell for us losers."
"I was part of that clique that tormented Carrie and all the other outcasts." Sue replied with shame. "We bullied Carrie every chance we got until it escalated. Carrie had gotten her 1st period and she didn't know what was going on. She begged us for help, but we didn't. You see, we didn't know that her mother was keeping her in the dark about these things. Carrie's mother was so horribly abusive to her. "
"Was the Black prom real?" Jesse asked, remembering the scary story from his boyhood.
"Yes..." his father said in horror.
"Chris had been suspended for bullying Carrie..so she and her boyfriend came up with a plan to humiliate Carrie." Sue replied with a look of loss on her face. "I had my boyfriend take her to the prom...because I wanted to give Carrie 1 happy night. But Chris rigged it so she would be prom queen...and then she dropped a bucket of pig's blood on her." The student body gasped in horror at the idea of such a cruel prank.
"Holy shit..." Mark whispered as even was stunned by the story.
"After that..Carrie had enough. She had developed these telekinetic abilities and she used them to burn the school down; with everyone inside." Sue finished as a tear rolled down her face. "I lost all of my friends that night." The entire room was quiet, taking in everything Mrs Snell had told them.
"So what happened after the prom?" Rachel asked quietly as Sue looked at Rachel, her eyes full of shame and a regret that had never truly went away no matter how much the psychiatrists had tried to tell her it wasn't her fault; not entirely at least. Sue took Rachel's hands and squeezed them.
"I dont know how...but she died." Adam muttered quietly as his wife held him as he wept.
Rachel...she couldn't live with herself after everything that had happened and everything that had been done to her." Sue explained in tears. "Carrie⦠she was tired, so tired of living a life that wasn't her own. They said she went quickly that she didn't suffer." Rachel looked at Sue and pulled back her hands.
"She didn't suffer?" Rachel asked as she laughed bitterly. "She suffered plenty, what kind of monsters were you?"
"Rachel, we didn't know..." Sue muttered.
"I don't blame her for what she did, I blame you." Rachel snarled in fury. "You and that awful Chris Hargenson and that crazy mother of hers and everyone that kept pushing her and thinking they could get away with it. Did you think she was made of stone? You are the reason that Carrie is dead, that she never got to experience a normal life."
That I never got to meet her. Thought Rachel while her hearts aches for a sister she never got to meet. She know knew that Ms. Snell had been telling the truth. Carrie WHite was her half sister.
