Knight of Avalon
Chapter-8
Artoria, Kay
Artoria made the first move, slamming her staff against the ground and sending a stream of mana towards Anice.
Anice hopped away and dashed at Artoria faster than she expected.
Artoria made a shield of mana as Anice struck her shield against it, sending cracks with the first blow.
Artoria rolled forward as Anice shattered the shield before kicking her leg out behind her and catching Artoria in the stomach and sending her tumbling.
Anice then ran forward as Artoria tried to right herself. Anice jumped up in the air and raised her shield.
Artoria again rolled away as Anice cracked the floor with her shield, before charging her staff with mana and swinging it at Anice.
Anice raised her shield Artoria's staff slammed against, sending a minor shockwave although Anice did not budge.
That didn't do anything?! Artoria thought frantically as she narrowly dodged the cross-shaped clubs on Anice's shield before Anice bashed her to the ground and stomped down on her.
Artoria narrowly dodged the stomp before desperately casting a spell at Anice.
"Gah!" Anice grunted as electricity spread across her leg, as Artoria kept pumping in mana to keep the electricity going.
Anice fell down to one leg before craning her neck up at Artoria and lunging at her.
Artoria was caught off-guard and sped up her body's perception of time, moving past Anice.
There! Artoria thought as she pointed her staff and shot a bolt of mana at Anice, who again managed to deflect it.
Artoria then went invisible and went around, managing to hit Anice with subsequent blasts of mana as Anice grunted in pain everytime a shot landed.
But then, Anice slammed her shield particularly hard, cracking the ground and sending Artoria off-balance and breaking her invisibility cloak, exposing her.
"Damn it…" Artoria grumbled before trying to summon discs of light. Anice, however, planted her shield against the ground and used it to propel herself at Artoria.
Artoria, who was in the middle of casting the spell, did not dodge and received Anice's iron boots to her cheek, disorienting her vision as she fell back.
Artoria's world was spinning and she lost her grip on the staff, which was sent flying out of her grasp.
Anice pinned her to the ground with her shield.
Both of them breathed slightly heavily as they looked at each other, both of their thoughts grounding to a halt as the brief pause set in from the heat of the battle.
No! Not this quickly! Artoria thought as Anice gave her an apologetic look.
"Sorry, Artoria, but this is your loss."
Artoria tried to look around, any way to get Anice off her before she made eye contact with Kay. Kay's face was stony, although his eyes flicked towards the Staff of Selection and he made a gesture of tapping his hand against his head.
Artoria immediately understood what Kay meant.
"Well, It seems…" Boggart spoke standing up.
However, before he could finish, Artoria fired up her fairy patterns as the Staff of Selection shot from the ground and hit Anice in the head, discharging mana to create a shockwave that knocked Anice away from Artoria.
Artoria managed to called her staff back and stood up shakily.
She's way faster and stronger than I thought. Artoria thought. Even after she used magecraft to increase her speed, Artoria could not match Anice's speed. Her spells were not effective enough to boost her speed to that level.
She'd managed to catch Anice off-guard, but how was she going to carve out a win, if Anice could easily score another victory.
"And remember, that shield can't protect her from all sides."
Artoria remembered Kay's words.
All sides…
As Anice got up, it all clicked in Artoria's mind.
"That's right!" Artoria spoke.
Kay, you sneaky prick! Artoria thought.
If she couldn't catch up to Mash, she just needed to slow her down.
Tristan's face came to her mind.
Ugh, but I didn't think I'd be thanking her. Artoria thought before pumping mana into the staff.
But this time, instead of trying to shoot forward like a bolt, she decided to mold it into strings.
As Anice sprang forward, Artoria slammed her staff against the ground, as the ground bellow lit up with circuit lines to create a large massive circuit from Artoria's fairy patterns.
From the circuit, a number of strings of energy shot towards Anice.
Anice gasped and tried to block some of them, but her shield only blocked the strings coming from one direction.
The others managed to wrap around her body and pulled her down.
Anice however, struggled to get back up as the strings strained against her body.
Artoria was prepared for that as well. She'd observed the wind magic of the Awel Souders back at Salisbury. She'd seen it while they were escaping, and her fae eyes had analysed the spell behind them.
Artoria exhaled before funelling mana into her right arm and raised it, as the air above Anice started buffeting.
Artoria brought down her arm as the air turned into a powerful gust of wind that smashed Anice to the ground.
As Anice writhed about on the floor, trying to get break the strings, Artoria raised her staff's rear end and prepared to cast an explosive spell at Anice.
That was a mistake, as Artoria's concentration broke and Anice managed to break free of the strings, immediately dashing at Artoria.
Artoria's eyes widened, before out of panic, she fired the explosive spell at Anice's shield.
While Anice's shield managed to withstand the explosion without issue, Artoria wasn't so lucky and the explosion knocked her back, her body stinging from the heat of the fire as Artoria tumbled away.
"Uuuu…" Artoria groaned in pain, stunned from the explosion.
Anice frowned in concern at her before dashing at Artoria, ready to deliver the final blow.
Nearby, Kay swallowed in concern. Artoria didn't seem like she had a way out.
But despite the pain, Artoria looked at Anice, this time with a cold anger in her eyes.
Over the past few weeks, she had been completely relying on Kay and the others, without being of any use herself.
Despite all the smiles, Artoria felt terrible inside. Terrible at how she'd been nothing but a burden to her servant and the other members of her group.
She hadn't even presented anything special to Boggart like the rest of her companions. She'd only declared her title, and that got challenged as well.
And now, when everything was hinging upon her, she was failing everyone.
With those thoughts, fear and desperation began seeping into Artoria's mind.
She could see herself failing at everything, losing to every opponent before her. Eventually, she saw herself running away to the Nameless Woods and never returning back from it.
She could see herself living out the rest of her days like a coward. A coward that had lost any sense of purpose aside from running away in fear.
The fear and desperation churned in Artoria's mind and soon turned into anger.
Artoria was angry at her uselessness.
Artoria was desperate to win.
Artoria was terrified of her fate.
Artoria's hand turned black and started burning with cold blue flames.
Kay blanched, as he watched Artoria perform what was disturbingly similar to his Morgan's dark magic.
Anice suddenly froze in the air, as Artoria's skin turned pale and she started sweating profusely, the magecraft she was using trying to eat at her soul.
The pink-haired fairy also recoiled in horror.
Kay also gagged, as he felt something try to eat at his spirit core.
"She's using that…" Artoria heard the pink-haired fairy mutter in horror
Thankfully, the magic went as quickly as it came, and Artoria dropped down Anice, who was frozen.
Artoria's body felt like lead, as she cast spells to hold herself up and not drop down to the floor from exhaustion.
I-I-I need to finish this! Artoria thought, as she mustered as much mana as she could into her staff and twirled it.
Like she'd watched Kay send waves of fire, Artoria grit her teeth and swung down her staff, sending a wave of fire.
Anice's eyes widened as the fire hurtled towards her, before something jumped in front of her, shielding her from the flames.
The court went silent, as the smoke settled to reveal Boggart crouched over Anice, his magnificent blue coat tattered and singed from the flames as Boggart stared down at Anice.
"Enough. I declare this match ended…in favour of Artoria caster." Boggart spoke as he looked at Anice.
"Don't worry. I'll ensure you are nursed back to health in the infirmary." He spoke as he stood up.
"But in this case, as she is the winner, I shall accept her as the Child of the Prophecy! Let her guide our people to victory and help Sheffield break free of the Ashen Curse in its war against Morgan!" Boggart spoke as the court erupted in applause, even though it was more because the advisors were scared to offend Boggart than actually congratulate Artoria.
Boggart turned around to congratulate Artoria, only to see her fallen to her knees, pale as a ghost and leaning to the Staff for support.
"Uh…guh!" Artoria gagged, making vomiting motions as she felt something rotten and slimy sloshing around in her heart. Her vision began spinning around.
"Da Vinci!" Kay spoke as he and Da Vinci rushed to Artoria's side.
"Master, are you…" Kay didn't finish as Artoria vomited out blood, tinged with void-black liquid.
Kay's eyes widened as Artoria's eyes rolled up her head, as she fell to the side into Kay's arms.
"Master, Master!" Artoria could hear Kay's panicked shouts in her ears before she slipped into unconsciousness.
"Master!" Kay called, shaking Artoria.
"Hold on!" The pink-haired fairy spoke rushing up to Artoria. "Let me handle this!" She spoke before spinning some strings from her spindle.
Kay looked at her. "...Can you help her?"
"Yes, I can! Now keep quiet!" The fairy spoke as she slowly willed those strings inside Artoria's mouth. Soon, the fairy pulled out some sort of black slimey substance and tossed it away from Artoria.
The black substance bubbled as it melted through the ground and fell straight into a bottomless hole that it had created. Artoria's skin regained its complexion as Helga immediately inscribed runes to heal her body.
"She really used Arawn's curse…" Kay heard the fairy mutter shaking her head.
"What do you mean?"
"What I mean…is that that…" The pink-haired fairy spoke pointing at the hole.
"That black substance trying to kill her was a rotting part of her soul."
Kay blinked. "...Excuse me?"
"Later! Let's get her a bed to rest in!" The fairy spoke as Boggart immediately called for beds for both and Anice and Artoria to rest in.
After putting Artoria and Anice in the infirmary, Boggart stepped out.
"I shall get down to making accommodations for your group. My servants will take you to your rooms soon." He spoke as Kay shook his head.
"I do not require a room, milord." He spoke.
"Hm? You do not?"
"No. I have…special circumstances, so I don't really require a room."
Boggart frowned. "...If you say so."
"And the rest of you?"
"You can provide with me and him a room." Helga spoke pointing a thumb at the Silent Knight.
"As for…"
"I don't need one." Puck spoke.
"You can put one for me." Da Vinci spoke.
Boggart sighed in minor frustration. "You are…quite the group. Very well." He spoke as he walked off, leaving Kay and the others with the pink-haired fairy.
Speaking of whom… Kay thought as he looked down at the fairy.
"Excuse me, can we talk?" He spoke as the fairy scrunched up her nose at Helga.
"Why do you have so little bridal energy?" She spoke as Helga tilted her head in confusion.
"...Bridal energy?"
"You have some of the lowest bridal energy I've ever seen from someone in Britain." She spoke.
"Even the knight for some reason has more bridal energy than you!"
"Leaving that aside…" Kay interjected. "I need to ask you questions. Before that, thank you for healing my master. May I know your good name?"
The fairy smiled. "Call me Habetrot! Maker of brides! Master of the Spindle! No one can make better gowns and dresses than me!"
"What about Count and GlouDesign? Puck asked.
"Bah, they have no respect for color, slamming random weird colors onto dresses and calling it 'fashion'! Hmph!" Habetrot spoke with a scoff.
"Again, leaving all that aside…" Kay spoke as he walked off with Habetrot.
"You had some…interesting reactions towards Artoria. Not to mention that despite being a master weaver, you also had knowledge of that dark magic Artoria used."
Habetrot's smile fell.
"Ah, well, I am familiar with Arawn's curse. It is dark curse that is said to have been created in the First calamity 13,000 years ago that can turn rot souls. After the calamity, it stayed on as a dark magical energy that most faeries and humans cannot wield, for it represents 'The Planet's Rage'. An old acquaintance started using it in the later stages of her life and often, I had to heal and nurse her back to health whenever she overused the curse."
"An old acquaintance, you say?" Kay spoke before reaching into his pouch and pulling out the picture he found at Ector's house.
"Is this your old acquaintance?" Kay spoke, pointing at the other Artoria in the photograph as Habetrot stopped, seeing the tapestry of herself and others with the other Artoria.
"W-Where did you…?"
"Home of Ector the Immortal. I did mention my master came from Tintagel."
Habetrot's jaw clenched as she looked to the side. "...Did you find him?"
Kay recognized the underlying question 'Is he alive?'
"...We buried him." Kay spoke as Habetrot looked down.
"Ector, you stubborn madman…" She spoke with watery eyes before at Kay.
"...So I really am the last one remaining." She quietly declared.
That declaration pretty much meant every single person in the tapestry other than Habetrot was dead.
"And your leader…they were Aesc the Saviour?" Kay asked.
He had first encountered the name 'Aesc' back in Salisbury. One of the customers had offhandedly mentioned the name, and on further questioning, Kay found out who Aesc was simply by the mention of Ector.
But of course, that begged the question, why was there an Artoria looking identical to his master who lived 6000 years ago? Kay had first assumed the other Artoria was some sort of long lost mother to his master due to the identical resemblance, but now…the time gap was too high to be able to certainly conclude a bond between Aesc and Artoria.
"Could you…tell me about the other members?" Kay asked.
"Well…there's me." Habetrot spoke pointing at herself. "Back then, I was known as the knight of beginnings, although I mostly did the healing and less of the fighting."
Habetrot pointed to a massive humanoid eagle in armor wielding a blood red greatsword.
"Wryneck, an Aquila-class Faerie from Oxford who would go on to end the civil war within the Fang Clan and becomes it's first lord. He hungered for battle, and often butt heads with Ector until Aesc would discipline them into silence."
"The Fang clan didn't have a lord before that? "
"No. They served as mercenaries in the armies of other clans, but they usually did not have a system to govern themselves until Wryneck organised them into their own duchy at Oxford. Wryneck would later be slain by the Mors King Vortigern in the Battle of Yorkshire, before his successor would avenge him by killing Vortigern in the same battle as well."
"His successor?"
"Woodwose, the current Duke of Oxford."
Kay coughed slightly, now knowing that he was learning about Woodwose's predecessor.
Habetrot pointed at the blue-haired boy with a mischievous smile.
"That's Grímr, or Bolverkr, as he sometimes went by. He was Artoria's magecraft instructor and was a vagabond living in the streets of Orknö…until the massacre happened."
"The massacre?"
"Of the Rain Clan, the sixth fairy clan that the King Clan had replaced and the clan Aesc belonged to. They'd once ruled over the territories that the King Clan rules over now. In Aesc's time, the Rain clan faeries had been slaughtered by other clans to kill Aesc, and Aesc and Grímr were the only survivors."
Hm? Grímr…wasn't that one of the names of the pagan god that Helga worshipped, Odin? Kay thought. Again, he didn't really know much, other than this Odin was the chief god of Helga's people and was also worshipped by the Saxons as Wotan.
"What happened to him?"
"He disappeared after Aesc burnt down the World Tree." Habetrot spoke. "Me and him last met at a cave near sheffield before he was never seen again."
"I see. And now to the main question…" Kay spoke.
"Tell me about Aesc."
"Aesc, huh? Well, she was as people know her - the Saviour. She went around Britain, fighting calamities with us helping her out and then hibernating for centuries to fight calamities again."
"She fought Queen Mab in the Summer War, put down the Calamity of tears in Cornwall, defeated the Calamity of Rifts in Orkney and so much more. In the end, however, she was…killed in the aftermath of the Bloody Crown in Londinium."
Kay frowned at that. Something seemed fishy about that last part.
"Killed, you say?"
Habetrot sighed. "Well, that's what history says. Us, her closest companions, we all knew Aesc survived and went mad after Londinium's destruction. She began using Arawn's curse a lot more and eventually it practically changed her body, her magic, her weapons, everything. Grímr didn't help things either, egging Aesc on to go to the world tree and burn it down, with some sort of fire he'd procured. This happened in the course of 400 years."
"And she eventually went to Orkney to burn it down?"
"Yes. After that, Aesc…Arawn's curse finally took her life shortly before a Great Calamity wiped out most of the fairies and ended the Fae Era."
Kay frowned at that once more.
Something was fishy about that statement. Probably because of one key fact.
"What about Morgan?" Kay asked. "How does she come into play?"
Habetrot let out a soft noise.
"From what I know, Morgan appeared during the Year Without Hope and subjugated the survivors to create Britain. That means she appeared less than a year after Aesc the Saviour died. Not to mention that Morgan first appeared in Orkney, where you claim Aesc died…"
A drop of sweat formed on Habetrot's head.
As he spoke, Kay also realized the truth as the pieces fit together into one explanation that answered his questions.
"The High Queen of Britain is Aesc, isn't it?" Kay spoke.
Da Vinci had claimed Morgan was the servant of the Crypter for this lostbelt, but the entire concept that Morgan had existed for 2000 years contradicted that. And with the logical conclusion that Aesc died at the same place and time Morgan first appeared…
"Aesc became Morgan." Kay muttered.
So not only was Artoria fighting against the High Queen, she was essentially fighting against her predecessor. An Artoria Caster who was a lot more experienced than her.
It also made sense why Aesc the Witch became Aesc the Saviour. And why Geoffrey of Salisbury was executed.
Kay turned away.
"I…see. Thank you for the information, Habetrot." He spoke as he walked off.
"Um, Sir Kay?" Habetrot asked.
"Yes?"
"Could I…ask for the tapestry?"
"...Oh! Of course!" Kay spoke pulling out the cloth and handing it to Habetrot, who sighed wistfully at it before putting it in her pouch.
"Thanks."
Kay nodded as Habetrot went off.
Kay's scarred eye stung again. Kay breathed heavily as he saw Cath Palug's glowing purple eyes again.
Kay saw Artoria standing on a field under a stormy sky, her eyes completely emotionless, with the same platinum blonde hair as Morgan, staring at him with a ball of dark blue fire in her left hand and her staff, now void black, in her hand.
Artoria closed her eyes and looked down.
"Guh!" Kay's hand went up against the wall as his eyes stared off somewhere, unblinking, the fear slowly constricting itself around his heart.
What if Artoria ended up like Aesc?
What if she became like Morgan?"
Kay gulped and walked off, the image of that Artoria burned deep into his mind.
Later on, everybody met in Da Vinci's room. Even Artoria was there, wrapped in a blanket, as she apparently had a fever as well.
"Congratulations on the win, Artoria!" Da Vinci spoke as Artoria smiled.
"Thanks, Da…ah,ah…Da Vinci." Artoria spoke, managing to hold back a sneeze.
"Really, you did well, master." Kay spoke. "Although, don't use dark spooky magic next time."
Artoria shivered, remembering what she used earlier.
"G-Got it."
"Now that we're officially recognized by Boggart, we should plan our next move." Da Vinci spoke.
"Starting with getting Mash to remember her memories." Kay spoke.
"And we need Mash's master for that, right? Ritsooca?" Artoria asked.
"Yes. Last we heard, Ritsuka and Tristan got lost in the Nameless Woods in Cornwall. In that case, our first priority is getting to them and bringing them to Sheffield."
"Which is where the problem of the Nameless Woods comes in." Helga spoke.
"Again, your saviour Puck will get to that." Puck spoke as Kay shook his head.
"Don't tell me you have a spell to counter that."
"I do!"
"What are you, Puck? For a common thief of Salisbury, your abilities in magic are beyond absurd."
"Hehe, I just had a good teacher." Puck spoke. "But even then, I can only cast that spell over three people, myself included."
"So, then who would be going?" Da Vinci asked.
The Silent knight suddenly slammed something against the table as everyone jumped.
"Yes?" Da Vinci asked as the Silent Knight removed his hand to show a pamphlet, saying.
MURIAN'S WONDROUS AND AMAZING PIECES
COME TO GLOUCESTER AUCTION HALL TO PURCHASE ALL SORTS OF ITEMS INCLUDING…
A CHILD OF PROPHECY!
"WHAT?!" Artoria yelled.
"Hm, Boggart did mention there was a third Child of Prophecy who had been captured at Gloucester." Kay spoke.
"Hm, this could become another problem for Artoria if we had another Child of Prophecy challenge her title." Helga spoke.
"In which case, we just have to get to him, by participating." Kay spoke.
"Ah, I get you. We could just represent Boggart at the Auction and use his money to get what we require!" Da Vinci spoke.
"And I saw Boggart's riches. He's filthy rich."
"As expected of the former Lord of Norwich." Puck muttered.
"But of course, we can't really leave Ritsuka any longer, so we have to split up. Once group goes to Cornwall to find Ritsuka and Tristan, the other goes to Gloucester to secure the Child of Prophecy."
"I'll be going to Cornwall, since I can counter the Nameless Woods' domain." Puck spoke. "And I suggest people extremely familiar with Ritsuka accompany me."
"That would mean…me and Mash." Da Vinci spoke. "In which case, it would be nice if one of our mages also accompanied us. Either Helga or Artoria."
"Which means me and the Silent Knight go to Gloucester." Kay spoke. "Again, either Helga or Artoria can come."
"Preferably Helga. Murian's domain is…well, does not mesh well with magic. A more experienced mage would be needed."
Helga smiled. "Well, Kay~ It seems you and I are together again, like old times."
Kay snorted before smiling. It definitely would be like old times, when he and Helga where riding on horses, exploring the Isle of Ynys Mon on the hunt for Cath Palug.
"Habetrot can tag along. Since Puck won't be there, we need a local to show us around." Kay spoke.
"D-Does that mean I'm going to…ACHOO!...Cornwall?" Artoria spoke as Kay covered his ears, because Artoria's sneezes were as loud as a firestone bomb going off.
"That you are. You, Da Vinci, Mash and Puck to Cornwall. Me, Helga, The Silent Knight and Habetrot to Gloucester."
"Sounds good. We'll meet back in Sheffield - You with the 'child of prophecy', and us with Ritsuka and Tristan." Da Vinci spoke.
"O-Ok, then! As leader of this group, ah, ah…" Artoria's mouth opened as everyone braced for her sneeze.
But the sneeze didn't come as Artoria sniffed.
"We'll leave after I recover! And we'll discuss our next move once Ritsuka gets her memories back." Artoria sniffed.
But as everyone went to get up.
"ACHOOO!"
"Gah!" Da Vinci jumped in the air, while Puck jumped onto Kay's arms. Helga's dropped her runestones, while the Silent Knight merely stood still.
Kay deadpanned at Artoria, whose face had gone red in embarrassment.
"S-S-Sorry…"
A/N: Welp, we leave Sheffield for now. Artoria falls victim to the 'Dark Magic corrupts hero' trope, and I was trying really hard not to just call it 'dark magic' and make everything any more cliche than it already is. But beyond that, we never really knew how Aesc transformed into Morgan. Plus, we also didn't really get much information on the First Great Calamity so...yeah.
Foot Notes:
Calamity of tears: A calamity that struck Cornwall in 3980 FE, where many fairies began crying tears of blood that threatened to flood the Wind Capital. It was the first calamity where Aesc the Rain Witch made her appearance, using her abilities as a fairy of the Rain Clan in stopping the calamity cleansing the blood pools off Cornwall.
Calamity of rifts: This was a calamity that hit shortly after the Summer war 1950 FE. In this, numerous tears in the space-time fabric opened up in Orkney strange monsters from another world that threatened to ravage Britain. Again, Aesc put down this calamity by closing the rifts with the help of Grímr and defeating the monsters with the help of a mysterious figure known as 'The Worker'.
Blood Crown: The murder of Uther. When the Human purists among the Round Table attacked the leaders of the Fae clans in Londinium after a bunch of mischievous wind clan faeries mixed Dartmoor poison (A special poison made from plants growing in the Cornish woodlands) into Uther's drink. The resulting massacre saw the destruction of the Round Table and subsequent execution of 'Aesc'. Some rumours, however, claim Aesc went into hiding. But really, no one other than Aesc's closest friends would know.
Response to Reviews:
Kleave Guy: Funny thing. I actually didn't pay attention and didn't realize Hope was actually a lot more important than I thought. But well, at least it's not going to break this storyline.
Maxymo: Well, we all know Artoria has to come out on top. So, I needed something as a...surprise.
Awarboah: I know. My opinion of him was indifferent when they first started dropping comments about my paragraph spacing being ass in my stories (Even though they weren't as bad as they claimed), but it soured a lot when I started seeing them giving shallow insults towards decently written stories. Of course, I have better things to do than snap back, plus the amount of stupidity I'm exposed to on the internet on a daily basis has made me completely indifferent to being insulted on the internet.
Hatred and love: Definitely not comical shock. With how much Kay and Artoria care for each other as brother and sister, and how important that sibling relationship is to Kay and Castoria's relationship, as well as its importance to their individual character arcs, making such a pivotal moment as the revelation of the truth comical doesn't sit right with me.
Seeking the Miraculous Dream: Of course. I like Kay for that. He may not have liked Artoria's kingship, but I cannot see him not sticking up for Artoria whenever someone openly insults whatever she has done. I am 100% sure that if Kay had been in Banquet of Kings in Fate Zero, he would have verbally ripped into Iskandar for the stuff he said about Artoria's kingship (I still don't like the one-sidedness of the debate, even though it is quite significant to Urobuichi Artoria's character arc).
Kaleidoscope's dream: That they do.
TalonScythe: Got it. Is the action in this chapter better, or is it still as messy as Kay vs the Souders? Besides that, I have mentioned I won't confirm or deny any theories you and my other readers come up with. And hope you enjoy Soulless Plains. The writing may be a bit wonky and shallow at the start, since I had barely a month's experience as a fanfiction writer at that time, but to me, the writing gets better further into the story.
Xian0451: That might make the cast bloated and stretch out this story longer than it needs to. But I'll see where I can put in Round Table Knights.
surya25addanki: Nice. I figured you were a fellow countryman from your profile name, and the fact that your surname is 'Addanki' and you wished me 'Rakhi Pournami', I assumed you are somewhere from the South (I don't know exactly where. Andhra Pradesh, perhaps?). Shubho Rakhi, in that case (I'm from West Bengal, by the way).
Also, I think you didn't complete your sentence on your interest in FGO, but if you say it's the opposite of my interests, I assume you like story and the lewd stuff? Correct me if I'm wrong.
