Ninja Gaiden

The earth was damp and slick beneath her fingers, she wasn't sure sure if it was from the blood or the rain around her. The droplets pelted her hair and small body as she struggled to climb to her feet on the bamboo flooring of the house. The katana held loosely in her bloody grip as she looked forward. His body was the first she saw, standing in the doorway with the gleam of metal bouncing off his fist as the lightning flashed around them. "Why Hiro?" Her voice broke as she weakly questioned, her hands trembling as she held the blossoming wound at her abdomen. He smirked, that damn smirk she'd grown so fond of, that had her weak in the knees so many times. How had she not seen this? Seen his ill will and vile heart from the start. "It so simple Neko," she flinched at the nickname. "you let me." Her eyes widened as she stared at him, gritting her teeth as she moved into stance. "You know what this means?" He laughed as he looked her small body over, raising an eyebrow. "Nch, you really think you can face me in your state?" She grunted as she raised the sword in front of her face. "Come find out, traitor."

His face lit up with sick glee as he suddenly charged her, metal clashing with metal as she pushed his iron fist away from her face and dodged the oncoming kunai that was aimed dangerously close to her eye. Jumping away she preformed a single hand sign, pulling the earth up between them as a shield, only to have Hiro burst through and grip the fabric of what was left of her shirt in his fist and deliver a vicious blow to her nose, breaking it instantly. She bit back the cry of pain as she cut the fabric from her body, revealing the gauze holding her chest in place and the large slash along her abdomen. "Come now Neko, you know your just making this worse on yourself." She smirked as she held her sword up in front of her face again. "It doesn't matter Hiro, by the time this fight is over, Leaf Ninja will be upon you." She could see the color drain from his face, making her smirk. "I'm just buying some time until they get here." She sheathed the sword on her back as she stood face to face with the large male, taking in his appearance. His dark hair was wet, slicked to his head, his vibrant red eyes danced with a fire that could only be called madness.

"So I say once more, come, and find out Traitor." He bellowed as he charged her with his brute strength, they clashed once again, the kunai gripped tightly in her hand as she kicked against his chest, sending him flying back against a nearby tree, she was quickly upon him, delivering another kick to the side of his skull and sending him flying against the side of the building they'd be previously inside of, she huffed as she watched the support go out and fall in on itself. She quickly preformed handsigns, and slammed her hand on the ground. "Summoning Jutsu!" The loud pop was followed by the loud growling of the large jet black wolf appearing by her side. "Hunt Kami." The large wolf bowed his head before raising his head to the sky and releasing a loud howl into the air and darting off into the debris of the fallen building.

She knew it wouldn't be nearly enough to keep him down, but like she'd said, she was only buying time until the leaf nin arrived. She huffed, reaching into the small pouch around her waist and producing a soldier pill, quickly popping it into her mouth and swallowing it. Flexing her fists she could feel her chakra replenish itself. Just in time to dodge the shuriken that flew out of the dust and debris. She managed to move her head just in time to not be impaled. "Come on Neko." His voice carried over the sound of rainfall. "Do you actually believe you can hold me off until they arrive. By the time they arrive you'll be dead, along with the rest of the village and I'll be long gone from this place." He cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders as she locked eyes with him. "You'll be with your family soon enough." The flash of her grandparents mangled bodies flashed across her eyes. She fished an extra kunai from the pouch at her side, twirling it on her finger as she watched him. "Come, traitor." She had no mercy as she violently rushed towards him, pushing him backwards against a nearby tree as they fought for dominance.

She managed to bring her left foot up and plant it firmly against his chest before catapulting him away from her and into a nearby tree, following after him with her kuni glinting in the moonlight as she brought the weapon down into his shoulder. She felt his armor and flesh give way, his loud scream echoed around them though the rainfall. She quickly moved backwards when she heard the cracking of electricity and the glint of metal, just enough time to dodge the electric fist he'd aimed at her head. He growled, pressing his hand against the new wound in his shoulder, pulling the kunai out and tossing it aside. "My my, arent you vicious, you have claws as well." She narrowed her eyes as she huffed. Holding her fists up in front of her face. "Come." He smirked as he rushed her in a flash, his fist connected with the side of her head and sent her flying and had her seeing stars and hearing bells. A moment was all it took for her to catch her bearings and right herself, right before she hit the tree and released a large breath of air. "Fuck."

She felt a grip on her hair as she was pulled to her feet, a vicious kick to her side had her flying into another tree. "Motherfuck." She hissed as she managed to dodge the fist that cracked with electric charkra flew past her already broken nose. She huffed as she preformed a single handsign. "KATON!" The fire flew from her lips and scorched the earth and trees around them as she ran in a circle in the clearing. Jumping onto a branch of one of the burning trees she huffed as she wiped the sweat from her brow. "Welcome to hell." The fire warmed her bones and she could feel her fists slowly become covered in the flames as she caught sight of Hiro dodging the flames as he darted around the clearing she'd trapped them inside of.

She narrowed her eyes as she watched him fight against the flames, his electricity wouldn't be much help here. She leaped from the branch quickly appearing in front of Hiro, first ready to deliver a vicious and swift blow to his throat. He coughed, swinging out blindly as his free hand held his windpipe, she was sure she crushed it. Reaching into her pouch she managed to grab her last kunai, plunging it into Hiro's calf muscle, he fell forward, his leg giving way under the pain, too bad he couldn't really scream. "This is over." Her voice barely registered over the sound of the rain pouring around them. Making handsigns she cupped her hand over her mouth. "Katon." She whispered as she blew the flames over the still very alive Hiro, he screamed then.

She made sure he was very much dead before she let herself collapse, her body finally giving way to the chakra tank running empty, she didn't have the balls for another soldier pill. She sighed as she stared up into the rain.

She couldn't close her eyes, not yet.

So she waited, not soon after the flames around Hiro's body died off, she felt the faint presence of at least five chakra signatures approaching her from the surviving trees around their small village. Her hand crept to her bindings, the gash across her front was still bleeding, the only thing keeping her from bleeding out were the tight wrappings she chose to wear everyday, the same ones Hiro used to make fun of her about. She quickly blinked the memory away as she looked to the side, a body suddenly appeared, standing over her prone body, blocking the rain from pelting her for a moment. "Guys! We got a live one." He was loud, or maybe her ears were still sensitive from the summons. "Kami." She managed to mutter lightly as she thought of her wolf, she hopped he wasn't mad at her.

"What the hell happened here?" She heard another voice muttering as they surveyed the land around them. "She put up a hell of a fight is what happened, we need to get her back to the village, she obviously need medical attention. We can question her once we make it back." More muttering, she was fading out of it finally. They were taking her back to the village, she'd never been, she wondered what it was like. "Whats your name girl?" She blinked as they started to move her, hissing when she was placed onto another shinobis back, and they were soon jumping from branch to branch, only she and two other shinobi left, she suspected the others had to stay and gather evidence.

She took that time to look at the nin that jumped near her, he was rather plain. Blue hair with silver streaking, he wore his headband around his neck, the ribbon was a deep green coloring, his flack jacket had a few rips in it, no doubt it had been through a lot. "My name is Arashi." Then the world went black.
