Author's note: I've been wanting to do this one for a while, so I am ready to do it.
Elsa and Anna were playing when their parents spoke up. "Anna, Elsa." Agnarr said. "Bedtime soon." Iduna finished. Both parents came in and found the girls playing in snow. "What are you playing?" Agnarr asked. "Enchanted Forest." Anna said.
"Really? That's not like any Enchanted Forest I've ever seen." He said. "You've see-?" She was interrupted by a thunder boom from an oncoming storm. "An Enchanted Forest?" She finished. "I have, once." Agnarr said. "And you've never told us this before?" Anna asked. "Well, I can tell you now, unless you wanna go to bed." Elsa and Anna climbed onto the bed. "Tell us now. Tell us." Anna said. "Are you sure about this?" Iduna asked. "It's time they knew."
But before he could start telling the story, the storms lightning turned black, and more and more bolts were coming until a bolt of energy burst through the window, hitting the royal family. There was no trace of them anywhere. Nor any burn marks.
Colter 1899
Elsa slowly woke up to blurriness. She felt the ground crunch under her. Snow. She thought. Did I do this? She wondered. "Elsa! Are you okay?" She heard her mother call out for her in the blizzard. "I'm fine, Mama!" She yelled back to be heard. Obviously, she wasn't bothered by the cold, but that didn't mean that others weren't. "Everyone, there is a cabin there. Come on, let's go." Agnarr yelled as he carried a cold Anna. Elsa and Iduna followed them to said cabin. Agnarr opened the wood door and let the others in first. Now that they were out of the cold, they could think.
"Elsa, did you start a storm?" Agnarr asked. Elsa shook her head "no". "No, Papa. I didn't do it or even remember what happened." She said. Agnarr was about to continue until the door busted open again. There was an old man in a heavy winter coat with a blue hat and an old cattleman revolver. Hosea.
The startled family turn to face them, and Iduna and Agnarr got in front of the girls. "Who are you?" She asked. "Oh, I'm sorry. My friend said this place was empty." He said with a sweet voice as he put his gun away. "I'm not gonna hurt you." Hosea said. "What's your name?" Agnarr asked. "Hosea Matthews." Hosea said. "Listen, I need this place for my friends. We got caught up in the snowstorm." He said
Elsa thought he wasn't so scary. "Okay." Agnarr said hesitantly. "I'm Agnarr, this is Iduna, These are Elsa and Anna." He said, still unsure whether to trust Hosea or not. "Strange names you have there. Are you sure you're dressed for this kind of weather?" Hosea said, noting their current clothes. "We're fine." Agnarr said. "If you don't mind me asking: where are you from?" Hosea asked. "We're from Arendelle." Agnarr said. This info is only confusing Hosea a little. "From Arendelle? That's halfway around the world." He said. Not wanting this awkward conversation to continue, Agnarr spoke up again. "You can tell your friends it's safe."
Hosea nodded and then walked over to the door and opened it. "Bring him in here." He said outside. Then 2 burly men came in while carrying someone, Davey. Even more people came in along with a young kid. A man with a black hat ushered everyone inside. Soon, the cabin was filled with bodies. The burly men carrying the person put him on a table. "Miss Gaskill... get that fire lit, quickly. Miss Jones, bring in whatever blankets we have. Mr. Pearson, see what we have in terms of food." An old woman said while a younger woman examined the person on the table.
"Davey's dead." The woman who looked at the body said. "There was nothing more you could have done." A man with a red mustache and red hair in a black suit said. "What are we gonna do? We need supplies." Hosea said to Dutch. "Well, first of all, you're gonna stay here... and you are gonna get yourself warm." Dutch said. "And apparently, there are 4 new people here, 2 adults and 2 kids. What are we gonna do about them?" Hosea asked. Dutch took a quick look at the royal family and then went back to Hosea. "I'll have a talk with them later. Now I sent John and Micah scouting out ahead. Arthur and I are gonna ride out and see if we can find one of them." Dutch said. "In this?" Arthur asked. "Just for a short bit. I don't see what other choice we have." Dutch said.
He turns to face the gang. "Listen... listen to me all of you for a moment. Now we've had... well, a bad couple of days. I loved Davey... Jenny... Sean, Mac, they may be okay. We don't know. But we lost some folks. Now, if I could throw myself in the ground in their stead. I'd do it, gladly. But, we are gonna ride out, and we are gonna find some food. Everybody, we're safe now. There ain't no one following us through a storm like this one. By the time they get here, well, we're gonna be... we're gonna be long gone. We've been through worse than this before. Mr. Pearson... Miss Grimshaw... I need you to turn this place into a camp. We may be here for a few days. Now, all of you... all of you... get yourselves warm. Stay strong. Stay with me. We ain't done yet! Come on, Arthur." Dutch and Arthur walked out of the cabin.
Alright, we've all got some work to do." The old woman named Miss Grimshaw said. Hosea walked up to the newcomers. "Well, we got a lot of work to do. Care to join us." He asked. Agnarr thought for a second, then decided. "Yes." He said. "I'll stay with the girls." Iduna said.
Agnarr nodded as he knelt down and kissed his wife on the cheek. He got back up, and he and Hosea went outside to help unload. They were both cold from the blizzard as they approached the closest wagon. "Uh... Mr. Matthews? This probably sounds stupid. But what year is it?" Agnarr asked the older man. This gets him a suspicious glance from Hosea. But after a second, he slowly says, "It's the year 1899. Why do you ask?" Hosea said. Agnarr couldn't believe it. "What?" He whispered. He mentally pushed it aside for now and resumed helping Hosea get blankets inside.
He grabs a bundle for his family first. They re-enter, and Agnarr walks up to Iduna and the kids and hands them the blankets. Then he and Hosea, now followed by Karen, Tilly Miss Grimshaw, and Mary-Beth. They haul in more stuff. Then, when they were hauling in the last of it, a black guard named Lenny spoke up. "Hey, somebody's coming!" He cocks his rifle and points it at the potential hostiles. "Looks like it's Dutch." He lowered his weapon. Dutch was with Arthur and somebody else with a red coat and a big white hat, Micah. There was also someone else who was poorly dressed for the current weather on the back of Van Der Linde's horse. More people came from the cabin and joined them. "Hey, everybody, Dutch is back." Lenny declared. Iduna and the girls were dressed in warm blankets stepped outside to Agnarr. "How'd you get on?" Hosea asked.
"Micah found a homestead, but... he weren't the first. Colm O'driscoll and his scum, they beat us to it. We found some of them there... but there is more about, apparently... scouting a train." Dutch said as he got off his horse and helped the strange woman off. "That's the last thing we need right now, Dutch." Hosea said. "Well, it is what it is. But we found some supplies, some blankets, a little bit of food, and this poor soul, Mrs. Adler. Miss Tilly, Miss Karen, would you warm her up. Give her a drink of something." Dutch said as Tilly and Karen helped Sadie inside the main cabin. "Mrs. Adler. It's gonna be okay. You're safe now." Dutch said to her. "They turned her into a widow. Animals. I need some rest, I haven't slept in 3 days." Dutch said warily. "You're over here. Miss O'shea will show you the way." Miss Grimshaw said, motioning to another cabin
Molly and Dutch left. "Mr. Morgan, we put you in a room over here." Susan said to arthur. "Thank you, Miss Grimshaw." He thanked. "Mr. Agnarr, you and your family are with them over there." Susan said to the royal family. "Thank you." Iduna said. "Mr. Bell, you're with them over there, too." She said to the red coated man. "Wha? How come Arthur gets a room, and I get a bunk bed next to Bill Williamson, 4 people I just met, and a bunch of darkies?" He asked angrily.
"Get yourself to bed!" Hosea ordered. Micah reluctantly agreed and walked off with the royal family and gunslingers. They entered the cabin and saw 4 beds when Bill hung a lantern on a hook hanging from the ceiling. "Elsa, Anna, you two sleep there." Agnarr said as he pointed to the bottom bed as Lenny got on the top. Bill took a bed next to them. But when he looked up at the parents, he reluctantly got up and let them have the bed. Micah took the one opposite of their side. "I'll sleep where I want. You won't stop me." He said. Agnarr and Iduna already didn't like the outlaws' attitude. Bill laid down next to their bed and was instantly asleep.
Iduna laid down first, then Agnarr followed suit. "So, what are we gonna do?" The queen asked sleepily. "I don't know. But we will try to make the best of it." Agnarr said. "Good night, dear." Iduna muttered, then closed her eyes and fell asleep. "Goodnight, my love." Agnarr muttered before falling asleep, too. I hope that this was nothing but a dream. He thought before he was out cold.
Author's note: Alright, this is the first chapter of my new story. I need a break from the others for a bit, but I'll get back to them. Tell me how you thought of it please. But please not-so negative comments.
