Octavia woke as the first rays of morning light shone through the large windows of her spacious bedroom. As she blinked the sleep out of her eyes, she remembered what day it was, tonight was the night of Azothoth's Tears, a once-in-a-lifetime meteor shower that her father promised to show her. A large smile spread across Via's face, quite contrary to her usual scowl. jumping out of bed she immediately got dressed and headed out of her room to the kitchen to find her father.

"Hey Dad!" she shouted cheerfully until she noticed that her father wasn't there. Octavia found this odd as she could usually find her father eating breakfast and feeding his plants in the morning.

"Dad?" she shouted down the hall confused, walking to the stares she called out again but stopped when she heard her father's voice coming from outside. Heading down the stairs she looked out and saw her father standing in front of a moving truck talking on the phone.

"Dad, what's going on?" Octavia asked as she watched several of her family's servants loading stuff onto the truck.

"Apparently your mother can't exist somewhere for two minutes without the entirety of her possessions before she-" Stolas stopped his angry tirade as he listened to her mother say something Octavia couldn't make out over the phone.

"What… No, I'm not turning her against you," Octavia proceeded to hear her mother shout a myriad of curses over the phone.

Octavia let out a tired sigh. It had been about a week since her parents had finally decided to get a divorce, Octavia hated to admit it but despite the fact that she knew it was coming she was still heartbroken by the news. She had hoped that after her mother had moved out the fighting would stop but sadly no. Suddenly a terrifying thought came to her mind.

"Dad… this is going to be done before tonight, right?" she asked nervously, terrified at the possibility that this might interfere with their plans to see the Tears. Stolas lowered the phone, seemingly remembering that Octavia was there.

"What… oh no knowing your mother this will take all weekend," he said exacerbated, looking at the Imps piling stuff into the van he saw that some of them were having trouble fitting stuff in.

"Don't be gentle about it now, break whatever you have to to get it all in there!" Stolas shouted completely oblivious to his daughter's heartbroken expression.

"What! What did you just tell them to do!?" Stella shouted so loud that even Octavia could hear her.

"But tonight, we're supposed to" Octavia began before getting cut off by Stolas.

"Darling can we not talk about this now your mother is being a real B-I-T-C-H," Stolas said, before walking away and going back to his fight with Stella leaving a dejected and hurt Octavia behind.

Scowling, Octavia marched back into the house and ran up to her room, slamming the door, she proceeded to smash her telescope and rip her calendar off the wall, crumbling it and throwing it across the room.

How could he, how could that fucking- Octavia thought to herself betrayed she had been looking forward to this day since she was a little kid and her dad decided he was just going to ditch her so he could yell and cuss at her mom.

So much for always being there, she thought glumly. She moved across the room and grabbed her bag, if her dad wasn't going to take her to see the stars then she'd see them herself!

Storming out of her room, Octavia headed out the front door strolling right past her father who didn't even notice her, much to her frustration. As she headed off the property, she realized that she had no idea how to actually get there. Stopping in the middle of the road she contemplated it for a moment before stomping her foot.

"Fucking hell how the fuck am I supposed to get there, I don't know how to open portals and besides to get to a good location to watch I'd need my dad's book-" she stopped mid-sentence when she remembered the book.

Right, I just need the book, I mean I never used it before but hey how hard can it be," she thought to herself as she flagged down a cab and demanded they take her to IMP. As the cab headed to its destination Octavia pulled out her phone and pulled up Dante's number.

Octavia was hoping that Dante would be able to swipe the book for her, If she explained the situation, he would probably be willing to help her out, hell maybe they could watch it together he did say once that he loved looking at the stars. Hitting call, she was automatically taken to voicemail, Octavia looked at her phone confused, this was the third time she'd tried to call him, and it went straight to voicemail. Earlier this week she tried to call Dante hoping to get some emotional support to get her through this rough patch in her life but every time she called it went straight to voicemail. At first, she assumed he was busy but now she wasn't sure, shaking her head she decided she didn't have time to worry about this, if Dante wasn't going to help her, she'd just have to get it herself.

IMP office

Moxxie sat on the waiting room couch watching with a smile as Loona proceeded to throw a series of sharp objects at his boss.

"Loona honey wait just a… shit!" Blitz said as Loona began chasing him with the water dispenser.

"Loonie please can we," he didn't finish his sentence as he was struck in the head by said dispenser.

"FUCK… I mean wow good throw honey I'm so proud of you," Loona then proceeded to tackle Blitz and proceeded to beat him with a picture frame. During this beating, Millie got herself a cup of coffee and proceeded to plant herself on Moxxie's lap and watch.

It's refreshing to see her hurt someone who isn't me, Moxxie thought to himself as he enjoyed the show.

Today was special as today was the day Blitz finally decided to have a sit-down with Loona to discuss her horrible attitude and as one can see she is not taking it very well. Normally Dante would be here keeping her calm, but he called out sick and hasn't been around all week.

"What's this all about honey?" Millie asked her husband.

"Oh Blitz finally talked to her about her attitude with clients," he said when suddenly Blitz pulled the couch in front of himself using it as a shield against his angry daughter.

"I just think some small tweaks might help you to be more of a people person you know," he explained nervously as a snarling Loona came closer.

"I am a people person," she growled, the other three gave each other looks. Reaching forward Loona grabbed Blitz by the color and pulled him close.

"If I'm so terrible, why don't you just grow a pair and replace me?!" she shouted sounding mad but Moxxie thought she also sounded hurt, he brushed it off as just her trying to guilt trip Blitz who looked like he had been punched in the gut.

"Ok well maybe I," he started before stopping and looking more serious,

"Maybe I might," he said sounding sterner.

"What?" Loona said taken aback by that response, Blitz looked to Moxxie who gave him a thumbs up.

This is good, he's putting his foot down and she'll learn not to walk all over him, Moxxie thought to himself proud of Blitz for finally standing up to his Hellhound.

"Maybe I will little missy, yeah that's right it's tough love time, so now you can go to your desk!" Blitz shouted pointing over to her desk, Loona growled and threw Blitz to the ground, stomping off frustrated.

Plopping down in her seat Loona pulled out her phone and tried to call Dante It went straight to voicemail, Loona growled in frustration, the one time she needed him and he's not here. Loona growled how dare Blitz say he would replace her after what happened a week ago after the party at Beelzebub's they had an understanding, she called him dad, and here he is now ganging up on her criticizing her, it hurt.

It was at that moment Octavia walked into the office she was heading to Blitz's office trying to act sneaky and doing a terrible job at it if it wasn't for the fact that Millie, Moxxie, and Blitz were distracted they totally would have seen her. Stopping right in front of Blitz's office she stopped when she noticed Loona was looking right at her. Now normally Loona would have told her to fuck off or gotten Blitz's attention, Loona didn't like Octavia especially since she kept trying to steal her boyfriend before he had finally explained to her it wasn't gonna happen, but she was mad at Blitz and honestly didn't care about anything right now.

Realizing that she wasn't gonna stop her Octavia quickly ran into Blitz's office and began digging through his desk hoping to find the book. Noticing that it wasn't there she remembered something Dante had mentioned about a photo. Turning around she moved the large picture frame away and found a safe with a keypad, not sure of the code Octavia typed in the first thing that came to mind 1,2,3,4. He a beep Octavia opened the safe and saw her father's book.

Holy shit that actually worked, she thought to herself as she grabbed the book, opening it she found the page she saw her father use to travel to Earth.

"Take me to see the stars," she said suddenly she was surrounded by a purple light that quickly overwhelmed her. This light was noticed by the others outside in the office waiting room.

"Uh sir," Moxxie said trying to get Blitz's attention.

"The fuck?" Blitz said noticing the light, rushing to the office the three members of IMP burst through the threshold weapons drawn ready to kill whoever was messing with the book. To their surprise they saw none other than Octavia standing before a portal book in hand she shot them a look of contempt before walking through the portal closed behind her.

"LOONA!" Blitz shouted angrily.

"Oh yeah you have a visitor," Loona said sarcastically, much to Blitz's frustration.

Somewhere on Earth

Octavia awoke staring down at a gold star, holding her hand out in front of her face as she waited for her vision to clear.

"Where am I?" she asked when suddenly someone threw up right in front of her. Moving back, she saw said puker collapse on the ground. Realizing she was sitting on something she looked down and saw a dead human, scared she crawled off the corpse, grabbed her dad's book, and stood up. Taking a step back, she bumped into something turning around and she saw a guy in a clown costume glare at her.

"Hey this is my territory bitch, take your shitty costume and get the fuck off my corner!" he shouted, pushing her into the road, getting up Octavia walked across the road ignoring the oncoming cars who immediately swerved out of the way.

As she walked through this strange city people began harassing her left and right, from religious fundamentalists to weird street performers, panicking Octavia quickly curled up into an alleyway and began hyperventilating. Calming down she quickly got up and began walking through the streets trying to get the attention of one of the people for help, but they just ignored her.

Dammit, how the fuck am I gonna see the meteor shower now? She thought to herself in frustration, she groaned wiping a tear from her eye, when suddenly something flew into her face. Removing the offending object, Octavia saw it was a pamphlet for something called the Star Struck Tourz. Thinking this would take her to see Azothoth's Tears she squealed in delight and then went off to find the bus which so happened to be right across the street.

Currently at IMP

Blitz, Millie, and Moxxie all sat huddled and scared as a very angry Stolas paced back and forth, they had called him only a few minutes ago to hopefully get help finding Octavia and the book, and he was not happy to learn what had happened.

"How could this happen, do you just let anyone waltz into your office and grab infinitely powerful artifacts?" he asked hat in his hands a look of despair on his face.

"Why would she do this, how are we supposed to find her, where did she go!?" he asked squeezing his hat tightly. While the three Imps trembled in fear Loona took the opportunity to sniff the air for any clues to Octavia's location.

"Well wherever it is it reeks of urine and desperation, so…" she took another whiff and gagged.

"LA," she said with disgust.

"What?" she asked when she noticed the others looking at her. Suddenly Blitz picked Loona up and Stolas opened a portal to Las Angeles but just as they were about to walk through Millie shouted at them to stop.

"What now?" Stolas asked impatiently not liking this interruption.

"We need Dante," Millie explained, Stolas scowled at the mention of the black-haired Imp.

"Why do we need that bastard?" the Prince asked, Millie just rolled her eyes.

"Because your kid is head over heels for him, right? So, what better way to draw her out than with her crush," Millie explained, Loona scowled at that suggestion not liking the idea of her boyfriend being used as bait, especially to draw out a girl who kept trying to take him from her.

"Now don't be ridiculous she's well over that silly crush, she has a boyfriend now and would never be tempted by such a foolish idea," Stolas explained crossing his arms, Loona relaxed upon being reminded of Marco Octavia's current boyfriend.

"Alright let's grab him then," Millie said putting her hands on her hips.

"Unfortunately, he's with his parents in Gluttony at the moment," Stolas stated, Millie rolled her eyes.

"Well either way I still think we should grab him he could be a big help in finding her," Millie said, Moxxie nodded his head in agreement, as much as he hated to admit it Millie was right, moving quickly Stolas opened a portal right outside Dante's apartment building.

Inside Dante's apartment.

Dante awoke with a start panting heavily, rubbing his eyes. He looked around and realized he was lying on the floor of his apartment, in nothing but his underwear.

"Why am I?" he asked, looking around and saw all the empty liquor bottles lying on the floor ranging from Wine to Absinthe.

"Oh yeah," he muttered to himself, feeling a heavy throbbing in his head Dante lifted a hand to his head when he suddenly felt something bat against his face. Looking down at his arm he saw a syringe dangling from his wrist.

"Oh yeah," he said to himself, ripping the syringe out of his arm Dante quickly incinerated it.

Standing up Dante felt something against his neck, lifting his hand he felt something rough coiled around his neck which he soon realized was a rope.

"Why is there a-" he stopped as memories of last night flooded into his mind, looking up he saw a chunk of his ceiling had broken off revealing pipes and support beams.

"Oh… yeah," he muttered, quickly incinerating the rope Dante headed to the kitchen kicking aside various liquor bottles as he did so. Upon reaching the sink Dante turned on the faucet and proceeded to vomit, once finished Dante proceeded to inspect the puke and saw it was full of blood.

"Huh that's more than usual," he muttered to himself.

Once the puke had been thoroughly washed away, he turned off the faucet and then proceeded to inspect every bottle hoping to find one that still had booze in it and after twenty minutes finally found a bottle of vodka that was still a quarter full. As he started drinking Dante suddenly heard knocking at his front door, rolling his eyes Dante ignored the knocking and continued to drink his vodka.

Maybe if I pretend, I'm not home they'll go away, he thought to himself as the knocking continued for another ten minutes, aggravating his headache. Suddenly his door was blasted off its hinges and smashed into the wall parallel to it, Dante took a quick glance in the direction of what was once his front door and saw his coworkers and a very agitated Stolas.

Five minutes ago, outside Dante's apartment

Blitz repeatedly pounded his fists against Dante's front door waiting for Dante to answer, but after a full minute, there was still no answer.

"Dammit Dante open up!" he shouted as he continued to pound at the door. Stolas began looking antsy while Millie and Moxxie just rolled their eyes.

"Don't you have a key?" Millie asked Loona who was standing beside her, Loona rubbed her arm and looked away nervously.

"I… lost it," she replied, looking down at the ground embarrassed. Blitz stopped beating on the door and pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Christ on a stick is he dead or something?" Blitz asked, annoyed at Dante's lack of a response, Millie quickly turned to Loona.

"Loona you're his bitch don't you got a way to get him to open up?" Millie asked the Hellhound, Loona growled at that statement but then considered it and pushed past Blitz and leaned against the door.

"Oh Dante, I'm wearing the lingerie you love, the lacy red pair," she said in a sultry tone, they waited for a moment, but nothing happened. Loona stared at the door in utter amazement that always worked, whether he was hurt or tired, he always comes calling at the mention of her red lingerie.

"Ohh for fuck sake!" Stolas shouted before turning into his complete demon form, blasting the door off its hinges and sending it crashing through the wall on the opposite side.

Storming inside the demons were shocked at what they saw, Dante's apartment was an utter mess, now normally Dante usually kept his apartment in good shape, at the most there were occasionally a few liquor bottles lying around, but this was a disaster. The furniture in the apartment was tossed about haphazardly, the cushions in the couch were ripped to shreds and the kitchen table had been smashed to splinters. Several holes had been punched into the drywall and following all the cracks Moxxie saw a big chunk of the ceiling was gone. The floor was covered with bottles and broken glass. When picking up some of the bottles Moxxie noticed various amounts of hard liquors.

"Whiskey, Vodka, Tequila, rum, Absinthe!" Moxxie said in surprise as he read the labels of the various drinks, Moxxie even thought he spotted some bottles of Beelzejuice as well.

"Satan's ass this is intense even for Dante," Moxxie muttered in surprise.

"What do you guys want," a familiar voice called out turning their heads the staff of IMP and its benefactor all turned to see the resident of the apartment standing before them and he looked terrible.

Dante stood there in nothing but his underwear, his usually clean and styled hair hanging limply from his head dirty and greasy. Dante typically stood with a confident and cheerful stance but now he slouched forward tired and exhausted. Thick stubble covered Dante's usually clean-shaven face. His eyes, which were typically full of life were now empty and dull, it looked like he had completely given up on life.

"Dante babe are you alright?" Loona asked as she approached her boyfriend but suddenly stopped and was taken aback by his stench.

Dante reeked, it smelled like he hadn't taken a shower in a week, combined with the smell of his various drinks and puke it created a powerful smell that made Loona's eyes water.

"I'll reiterate, why the fuck are you guys here?" he asked more sternly, clearly not happy with his girlfriend and coworkers barging into his home. Stolas immediately pushed past Loona and approached Dante.

"Look sorry to interrupt… whatever the fuck is happening here, but I need your help, Octavia has run off to the human world with the book and I need your help to find her and bring her back," Stolas explained frantically, Dantes expression didn't change what so ever.

"No thanks find her yourself," he replied with mild annoyance. Stolas and the others were stunned by this reply, Dante cared deeply for Octavia and before wasted no time helping her when she was in trouble.

"What do you mean no thanks come on man Stolas' kid's run off with IMPs livelihood?" Blitz asked, surprised as was the rest of them by his callous response.

"I don't care," Dante said lifting the bottle of vodka in his hand to his lips but before he could take a drink Stolas knocked the bottle out of his hand then proceeded to grab him by the neck and lift him off his feet.

"Listen here you worthless piece of shit, my precious daughter is in serious danger, and you or going to help me find her, and if you don't, I will kill you in one of the most painful ways imaginable," he said his tone taking a threateningly deep octave.

The other three Imps in the room were scared out of their minds all except Dante who didn't seem to care at all that a powerful Goetia demon was threatening him, in fact, his whole body seemed to go limp as if he was actually ok with dying. It was at that moment Loona proceeded to lunge forward and kicked Stolas in the groin, the owl demon proceeded to let out a squeal of pain and let go of Dante falling to his knees and clutching his crotch in pain.

Loona immediately rushed to her boyfriend's side and helped him up he staggered but Loona wasn't sure if it was because of Stolas's assault or all the booze he'd been drinking. Gently putting a hand on Dante's face, she pulled him close until the right side of her face was lightly brushing against his.

"Look I get you're not doing well right now but please help them with this?" she whispered sounding very nervous, Dante pulled away and was about to say no but then the look she sent him gave him pause.

"Please," she whispered, Dante sighed and rubbed his aching head.

"Alright let's go," he mumbled the others smiled in relief glad that Stolas wasn't going to obliterate Dante.

L.A. USA, Earth

A portal opened in a filthy alleyway the first to step out of the portal was Loona followed by Blitz, Moxxie, Millie, Stolas, and finally Dante who stumbled through the portal nearly falling over.

"Alright Loona in and out before anyone notices we're here," he stopped and looked around at the graffiti, trash, and corpses strewing the alleyway.

"Huh this doesn't look much different from Hell," Blitz remarked, taken aback by how shitty the place was.

"Alright now let's get to work, Loonie sniff," Blitz commanded, Loona looked around in disgust.

"How am I supposed to smell anything in this city?" Loona asked her adoptive father pulling a piece of trash out of her hair.

"Can't you even do one thing right?" Moxxie asked in frustration, Loona scowled at the remark.

"Can't you finally do something about how fat you are?" Loona replied a smug smile on her face, she elbowed Dante trying to get him to laugh at the joke, but he just gave her an annoyed look, those fat jokes were really getting old.

"I'm not-" Moxxie was about to reply before Blitz cut in.

"You know it wouldn't kill you to put a salad in your body once in a while," he remarked following up on his daughter's insult, Dante groaned in frustration.

Jesu Cristo, it's like being around a bunch of fucking children, he thought to himself honestly sick of all the childish teasing his coworkers got up to.

Moxxie tried to reply to the comment, but Blitz ignored him and climbed atop a nearby dumpster and placed a sheet of paper on the open lid, the paper depicted crude drawings of all six of them.

"Alright first things first, we're gonna do this the old fashion way, we're gonna need disguises," Blitz explained. At that moment Stolas, Loona, and Dante immediately dawned on their human disguises, Loona and Stolas put a lot of fanfare into their transformation Dante just did a simple wave of his hand.

Millie clapped excitedly at the showmanship while Moxxie just rolled his eyes, Blitz just looked at them in utter disbelief.

"You wouldn't be able to conjure us up a couple of those can ya?" Blitz asked Stolas.

"Unfortunately, no, without my grimoire my powers are a tad limited here in the human world," he explained apologetically.

"What you can't memorize your fucking spells?" Blitz asked annoyed, Stolas's expression went from one of apology to annoyance.

"Oh, like your memory is so great, what's his phone number?" Stolas asked gesturing to Moxxie.

"Fuck you," was Blitz's only reply.

"Oh my god would you two shut up!" Dante suddenly shouted, catching everyone off guard, before he was just quietly leaning against a wall now he was fuming with rage.

"I have had a really bad week and if I have to deal with you braindead cumstains bickering and acting like stupid children for another minute I am going to fucking kill you all so can we please just get this over with!?" Dante shouted a look of murder in his eyes, the others were taken aback by this outburst and more than a little scared.

"You're right we're wasting time let's get moving," Stolas said as he headed out of the alley followed by Blitz, Moxxie, and a hesitant Millie who gave Dante a look of concern. As the others left Loona walked up to Dante and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, you alright my love?" she asked, her voice filled with concern. Dante shook her hand off and gave her an annoyed look.

"I'm fine let's just get this fucking thing over with," he said following the others out of the alley. Stepping out of the alleyway Dante quickly covered his eyes to block out the bright rays of the sun. It was at that moment Dante saw Stolas grab a pair of sunglasses off a nearby rack, Dante quickly followed in kind grabbing a pair of dark glasses and putting them over his eyes.

"Looking sexy there Dante," Loona stated in a sultry tone, Dante didn't even respond he just kept walking much to Loona's surprise. As they continued down the street Blitz stopped in front of a costume shop.

"Wait here," he said as he quickly rushed inside, Loona, Dante, and Stolas all proceeded to sit down on a bench in front of the shop to wait.

Looking at Stolas, he saw him nervously chewing on his nails, frantically looking up and down the street. Clearly worried about Octavia, Dante was too, or he would be worried but honestly, he didn't care about anything right now except maybe getting another drink or something stronger. Looking to his right Dante noticed that Millie and Moxxie were both caught up with some guys selling trinkets and other junk.

My coworkers have the attention spans of fucking goldfish, Dante thought to himself annoyed, this was going to take a while.

"Hearing the door to the shop open Dante looked over and saw Blitz wearing jeans, a light pink polo, a toupee, and the coup de gras, a pair of giant foam ears covering his horns.

"Soo?" Blitz asked, waiting for feedback, Dante was about to tell him how ridiculous he looked when they heard a loud scream. Turning their attention down the street, they saw some girl in red gesturing to them.

"Look everyone it's Hollywood star Brennon Ragers!" she shouted in glee. Confused, Blitz questioned who that was until he looked up and saw a billboard featuring a guy who looked somewhat like Blitz in his current get-up.

"Ohh dear," was all Stolas was able to say before a large crowd began swarming Blitz, and suddenly swallowed them up as well. Dante was nearly knocked to the ground by the coming crowd but was saved by Loona who helped get him back on his feet.

Blitz tried to make his way through the throng of people when suddenly some short guy tailed by two big dudes in black, they pushed through the crowd grabbed Blitz and proceeded to throw him in a large van. Stolas objected to this, claiming to be his agent but was soon grabbed and tossed in as well. Pushing their way through the crowd Loona and Dante made it to where the van was parked in time to see Blitz smash through one of the back door windows.

"Loona, Dante, go find Via we'll catch up soon!" Blitz ordered Loona hearing the order scowled and proceeded to flip Blitz off. Dante noticed this and couldn't help but feel annoyed.

Why the fuck does she have to get mad whenever someone asks her to fucking do something? He thought angrily.

Once the van drove off with "Brannon Ragers" inside the crowd quickly began to disperse, Dante let out a frustrated sigh and leaned up against a wall. Rubbing his temples Dante suddenly felt a tap on his shoulder, looking to his left he saw a guy wearing a dark red hoodie.

"Hey man you alright?" he asked, sounding concerned.

"What do you think," Dante replied sarcastically glaring at the guy.

"I think you're hungover, strung out, and haven't slept in a week," he replied, Dante thought for a moment then nodded his head in response.

"It's two weeks actually but other than that you are correct," Dante explained, suddenly the guy began digging through the pocket of his hoodie pulled a package of light brown powder and held it out for Dante to take.

"I think you could use this more than me," he explained, Dante perked up upon seeing the package of heroin in the man's hand.

he was about to reach out for it when suddenly he was punched in the face knocking him flat to the ground. Stunned, Dante looked over and saw none other than Loona standing over the unconscious body.

"Fucking creeps, this city is the worst, you doing, ok?" she asked giving the guy a kick for good measure.

"I'm fine," Dante replied sighing internally Dante was worried at first that she saw him about to take heroin but luckily it looked like she didn't notice and thought him some random creep.

"Good hey how about we forget about finding Octavia and just look around the city, maybe grab a bite to eat?" she asked, hoping to distract Dante from whatever it was that was bothering him. Dante thought about it for a moment a small part of him wanted to yell at her for being so belligerent, that they had a job to do, and they shouldn't shirk it, but sadly that part of him was being drowned out by his sadness and apathy.

"Fine whatever," he muttered his tone carrying his disinterest, Loona picking up on this grabbed him by the arm and began dragging him down the street.

The couple walked down the street; Loona gripped Dante's arm as they moved a smile on her face but unfortunately said joy never reached Dante who had a look of abject despair. Frowning at the sight of her boyfriend's misery, Loona looked around for anything that would take his mind off whatever was upsetting him. Spotting a guy playing the guitar, Loona dragged over to him, the two stood and listened to him play for several minutes Loona was enjoying the song he was playing but upon looking at Dante she saw he still wasn't feeling any better. Grabbing his arm again Loona dragged him away from the musician to find something else to do, as they walked around, they saw a guy selling trinkets. Normally Loona wouldn't worry herself with such worthless crap but maybe this would help, stopping in front of the stand Loona began rifling through the trinkets and keychains holding them up in front of Dante and asking for his opinion.

"What do you think of this one?" she asked holding up a keychain of what looked like a Hellhound with blue hair in a red outfit, Dante took a look at the keychain and shrugged.

Putting down the wolf girl keychain she continued to look through until she found one of Verosika Mayday herself. Smirking Loona lifted the pendant to Dante's face. Dante upon seeing the keychain cringed slightly, but the look of disgust on his face quickly faded and returned to his original look of sadness. Frowning slightly Loona put the keychain down and dragged Dante off to their next activity. As they moved down the street, they both heard someone yell.

"Filthy whore you must repent!" turning their heads the couple saw a group of people holding up signs that said stuff like, "God hates you" and "Demons walk among us", from the group out stepped a blonde woman with big tits in a dark red dress, she had an angry look on her face as she marched over to Loona.

"Excuse me?" Loona asked angrily as the woman came to stand right before her.

"You heard me you slut, look at you what your wearing!" she yelled gesturing at Loona's outfit.

"And what the fuck is wrong with what I'm wearing?!" Loona asked angrily a growl forming in the back of her throat.

"You're showing off so much skin you might as well be naked, you need to repent and change your indecent lifestyle, or the lord will strike you and your boyfriend down to He-" she stopped when Dante reached out and wrapped a hand around her throat.

Dante's grip tightened around the woman's throat, she tried to pry Dante's hand off her throat, but it just kept tightening and tightening until her neck finally snapped. Dropping her corpse to the ground he shifted his eyes to the other protesters and, upon making eye contact with him, fled in terror. Loona was taken aback by this action, yes, she's seen Dante kill people before, but he never just outright killed someone like that and while yes that woman was a bitch he's never killed someone for just that. Grabbing her arm Dante pulled Loona away from the corpse and crossed the road Dante let go of her and proceeded to lean against a wall rubbing his head with his left hand.

"Hey what was-"

"Don't just… don't alright," Dante said sternly, pulling out a flask Dante opened it and began downing its contents in one gulp, Loona was about to say something when someone suddenly put a hand on her shoulder, looking at her right Loona saw a clown.

"Tourist, well how about a picture ten bucks," he said in a thick gravelly voice. Scowling Loona shrugged off his hand and sent him a scowl.

"Fuck off pal," Loona said lifting her middle finger.

"Hey, come on don't be such a stingy bitch-," the clown was interrupted when a fist collided with his face sending him to the ground. Looking up she saw Dante standing over the clown, before kneeling down and going through his pockets. Wanting to ask what was up with him, she was stopped when she heard police sirens and proceeded to grab Dante and headed back the way they came.

Stopping after about twenty paces Loona spotted a nice-looking coffee shop. Thinking that it would be a good place to sit and relax Loona led Dante inside. As they entered the coffee shop a large bus pulled up down the road, and a number of people climbed out followed by a very unhappy-looking owl demon. Tearing the brochure in half Octavia tossed the scraps to the ground, pulling her hat down around her head Octavia stomped away from the bus as soon as she could. That was not what Octavia had been expecting when the brochure said she would see the stars, all they did was drive around and see big houses belonging to Earth celebrities. Feeling her disappointment grow she continued her frustrated walk until she came across an amazing poster of an owl swooping down before the moon. Awestruck Octavia took a quick picture and posted it to Sinstagram with the hashtag Earthshit. As she continued down the street she passed by a souvenir shop, immediately stopped, and pressed her face against the front window when she saw inside was a box labeled Starstruck, she immediately rushed inside and bought the box.

In the coffee shop

Loona and Dante both ordered coffee Loona got a latte while Dante got a cappuccino, sitting down at a table near the front window. After sitting down Dante took the lid off his cup and then reached into his jacket and pulled out his flask, unscrewing the top he poured the contents into his latte. Looking closely Loona saw that it wasn't wine which he usually carried in his flask, instead this liquor was a vibrant gold.

"Is that Beelzejuice!?" she asked frantically, Dante looked up from the cup and nodded.

"Yep," he replied continuing to pour the amber liquid into his coffee.

"Where did you get it?" Loona replied freak out, normally Dante didn't drink the heavy shit, especially not the heaviest shit in Hell.

"I called Vortex he set me up," Dante replied finishing pouring the Beelzejuice into his coffee he put the lid back on and took a very long drink.

"Ok what the fuck is up with you?" she asked, her voice filled with both anger and worry, Dante finished his drink and set the now empty cup down on the table.

"Nothing," he said defensively sending Loona an annoyed look.

"Don't fucking lie to me first you don't answer your phone for a week, then we show up and tell you that Octavia is in trouble, and you just say fuck off, and finally we get here, and you just walk around like a zombie, kill a lady then beat the shit out of some fucker then start chugging heavy booze, so I'll ask again what's wrong?" Loona said crossing her arms, Dante let out an exasperated sigh and took a swig from his flask.

"I don't want to talk about it," he said sternly wiping his mouth with a napkin. Loona looked changed from anger and annoyance to concern.

"You can tell me you know I'm here for you whatever is going on," she explained in a gentle voice putting a hand on his, Dante just jerked his hand away.

"I said I don't want to talk about it!" he responded anger lacing his tone.

"Look I-" Loona stopped when Dante held up a hand.

"Loona, you promised that you wouldn't push okay you said you would let me tell you about my past and issues when I'm good and ready so please just respect the fact that I'm not ready ok?" he asked his voice carrying a hint of desperation. Loona wanted to fight but instead relented, giving him a curt nod.

"Ok I'll back off for now, but remember when you're ready I'm all ears," Loona replied in a gentle voice, Dante looked down at the table.

"I'm sorry Loona, can we just talk about something else, how's Blitz doing?" Dante asked hoping to steer the conversation to something else and also curious to see how Blitz has been doing since the night at Beelzebub's party. At the mention of Blitz Loona perked up a scowl forming on her face.

"Oh, you want to know what the fucking dickhead said to me this morning?" Loona asked her voice filled with anger and rage. Dante perked up his interest peaked, wondering what Blitz did this time to make her so angry.

"He told me I needed to work on my attitude, he told me I wasn't a people person, can you fucking believe that!?" she asked slamming her fist down on the table. Dante just rolled his eyes and rested his head in his hand.

Christ on his cross not this shit again, Dante thought to himself annoyed.

Time and time again he would hear about Loona overreacting to minor annoyances like Blitz being kinda annoying and clingy, or hearing her bitch and moan about how annoying Moxxie was and honestly, he was fucking sick of it. Loona was just so overly sensitive, hearing just the slightest of criticisms or experiencing the most minor of inconveniences sent her up the fucking wall. While Dante genuinely understood why these things annoyed her even if he didn't agree with her reactions, in this situation he was actually on Blitz's side. Loona was an awful secretary; she never did any of her work always shirking it on Moxxie which Dante found unfair as Moxxie works hard and doesn't need more work. He also found her poor work ethic to be a hindrance to business, no one wants to work with a company whose employees are rude and obnoxious, and while yes IMP was doing well, he is sure her crappy attitude will cause trouble at some point.

"So how did you respond?" he asked certain she just ignored him or told him to fuck off.

"I tackled the ahole to the floor and beat the shit out of him," Loona stated casually, Dante's eyes went wide in shock.

She attacked him, she fucking attacked him! Dante thought to himself angrily, now yes, he had seen her get vicious but usually, that was in the form of growls, snarls, or insults, but she rarely got physical outside a simple punch or kick to the groin.

I mean she beat him up that one time he gave Sallie May my number but this, beating him up just for suggesting she work on her attitude, Dante felt anger and fury rising inside him his eye began to twitch and his grip on his flask tightened leaving noticeable dents in the metal, Loona noticed this and began to get nervous.

"Dante buddy you alright?" she asked a little scared.

"How dare you?" he asked his hands beginning to crush the flask like a soda can.

"W-what?" Loona asked confused.

"How fucking dare, you! How dare you attack Blitz after all he had done for you!" Dante shouted, getting the attention of everyone in the cafe.

"Excuse me?" Loona asked angrily sending a low growl Dante's way, but he didn't care he was too angry to feel threatened or scared.

"You fucking heard me after all that man has done for you, giving you a home, providing you with food and clothes, he saved you from ending up on the fucking streets and this is how you treat him? How the fuck can you be so ungrateful!" Dante yelled, the rage and anger growing as he listed off all the good things Blitz had done for Loona. The last part of that statement however sent Loona into a frenzy, shooting up she looked down at Dante who was still seated.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, how dare you call me that!?" she shouted furiously and was hurt by her boyfriend's statement. Dante stood up and looked at her over his sunglasses.

"Someone who like you was adopted, someone like you who was picked out of the dregs when everyone else just looked past me and saw me as nothing but trouble or just garbage to be tossed aside, someone who while may have had trouble with his adoptive caretaker never ever treated him as poorly as you treat Blitz, but why would I expect more from some immature brat?" Dante stated that the look he gave Loona at that moment sent chills down her spine, but she tried not to show it.

"What did you just call me?" she asked, faltering slightly.

"You fucking heard me," Dante said lifting the table and tossing it through the cafe window shattering the glass into a hundred little pieces. Loona fell back into her chair feeling the anger and rage pouring out from him in waves.

"You are one of the most immature and bratty people I've ever met, your fucking twenty-two years old, and yet you act like a fucking angsty fourteen-year-old, fucking stop, it doesn't make you cool, or edgy it's just pathetic, fucking grow up and act like a fucking ADULT!" Dante finished his rant panting from the exertion, he looked down at Loona who sat in her chair leaning back tears streaming down her face. Dante scowled and then turned away, gripping his head in pain, stepping through the broken window he reached into his coat for his flask but remembered it was gone.

Swearing, Dante looked around and saw a bar right across the street, walking through the door he saw that the place was small and dark, it wreaked of piss and despair. There were three people, an older gentleman sitting at the bar looking saw, a disheveled-looking guy sitting at a table drinking a beer, and finally a guy with several tattoos standing behind the bar. The place looked like the kind of place the worthless and pathetic went to drown their sorrows, in other words it was perfect for Dante. Dante walked up to the bar and sat down right in front of the bartender.

"What would you like," the bartender asked but his tone indicated he didn't really care.

"The heaviest shit you got," Dante replied the bartender set down a bottle of whisky in front of Dante. Picking up the bottle Dante chugged half of it and then broke out into a coughing fit, Dante wiped the blood off his mouth and then turned to the bartender.

"Keep this shit coming till I die or pass out," Dante stated, hoping it would be the former and not the latter.

Ten minutes later

Loona stepped out of the coffee shop once again wiping her eyes, after Dante's little incident Loona had spent ten minutes crying her eyes out in the bathroom. Loona stopped and took a deep breath to calm herself and then took a sip from her Latte, It wasn't the original one, but the manager was cool and gave her a new one free of charge after Dante spilled hers on the floor. Thinking back to the incident Loona couldn't help but feel anger well up inside her.

How dare Dante say that stuff to her, who the fuck does he think he is insulting her like that, how fucking dare he call her a spoiled brat. Loona wasn't a spoiled brat; she was a grown-ass woman she can't be a spoiled brat; besides she didn't do any of the shit a spoiled brat does.

I don't just sit around all day and do nothing, she thought to herself sternly.

"Yes, you do," another voice in the back of her head said.

What no I do stuff I… I, Loona tried to argue with this rogue thought but found she couldn't really come up with a response, she looked back and realized she didn't really do much but sit around her apartment and scroll through her phone.

Ok so maybe I don't do much, but I work hard! She countered to herself.

No, you don't, the nagging thought from the back of her mind said.

What no I do my work… most of the time, Loona thought to herself.

No, you don't you ignore your work and leave it for Moxxie to deal with, the voice replied to her response. Loona scowled but couldn't fight with the truth.

Ok, so maybe I'm a bit lazy but I'm not ungrateful. I appreciate everything Blitz has done for me! Loona thought to herself sternly, Blitz did alot for her he took her out of the hellhole that was the Hellhound Adoption Center, he gave her a home he treated her like a daughter and not just a pet or tool, how could she not be grateful.

Yet you constantly treat him like shit, that same nagging voice said, Loona's thought process stopped dead in its tracks looking down at the ground she let out a remorseful sigh. As much as she hated to admit it, Dante might have had a point Loona did act pretty ungrateful, Blitz did so much for her, yet she couldn't even show him just a little respect.

Deciding that she didn't want to think about this anymore Loona shook her head and decided to find something to take her mind off of the situation. Looking to her right she saw an awesome poster of a giant owl swooping through the night sky, realizing that this was what she needed Loona took a selfie with the poster she posted it to Sinstagram with the hashtag #Earthshit.

Taking another drink from her Latte Loona continued scrolling through the other posts she saw one featuring the same poster posted by Octavia. Realizing that Via had been here Loona went to her page and looked at the other photos she had taken, one of them being a selfie she took with a big fancy house, one that Loona knew was just down the road. Loona quickly realized that she could use these posts to help her find Octavia's location but a part of her was against it. Loona still held a grudge against Octavia for all those times she tried to steal her boyfriend, and how she constantly clung to Dante and refused to leave him alone and accept that he was hers, but looking back down at the selfie of Via and the fancy mansion she saw how sad she was. Loona felt a pang of sympathy for the owl demon, she understood what she must have felt, being stuck in a strange place surrounded by cruel, vicious, and scary people, Loona thought back to her time in the adoption center, the fear the terror, the pain she felt, she wouldn't wish that on her worst enemy. She also remembered the order Blitz gave her to find Via and while at first, she was just going to ignore him, Blitz trusted her and the idea of betraying that trust. Throwing her coffee to the ground Loona took off down the street towards the house.

This will show Dante that I'm not a spoiled brat, this will show him that I appreciate what Blitz does for me! Loona thought to herself with conviction.

Inside the bar

Dante slammed the empty bottle of whisky down on the counter and gestured for the bartender to give him another. Setting the bottle down Dante took it and began downing the continents. After getting two-thirds of the way through the bottle he removed it from his lips Dante stared down at it, anger rising in him. This was the third bottle he'd gone through and the pain in his heart still remained, he hated this day this day was undoubtedly the worst day of his life today was the day Rose passed. He remembered that day perfectly no matter how hard he tried to forget the images that plagued his mind constantly.

It was a cool autumn evening the air was chilly but did not get to the level where it was unbearable. He and Rose were walking home, they had gone to visit some friends and had stayed out far too late than was appropriate, and this was entirely his fault. He knew the area got dangerous at night, he knew they should have left earlier but he was arrogant, he thought he could handle any threat he was wrong. As they walked home a mugger confronted them knife in hand, while Rose was scared, he was not he charged at the mugger knocking him down to the ground. Quickly gaining the upper hand Dante began beating the mugger. Unfortunately, Dante underestimated his opponent when he attacked him the mugger was able to get ahold of his knife and drove it deep into Dante's side. Falling back in pain the mugger pulled out the knife and then drove it into his gut, as Dante lay on the ground in pain the mugger approached Rose, she tried to fight him off, but the monster drove his knife through her heart.

Dante shook his head trying to get the memory out of his head, finishing the whisky bottle Dante tossed it away where it shattered violently against a far wall. Dante dropped his head onto the bar sadness and despair coursing through him leaving him feeling hollow, though to be fair Dante always felt empty and hollow. It's fair to say that Dante died the day Rose died, he remembered looking into her eyes as the light faded from them, he remembered the blood pouring from her wound staining the entire upper half of her dress red. When the life faded from her it faded from him as well, he is numb he hasn't felt anything for years. Running one of his talons along his left arm he watched as obsidian blood began oozing out of the wound, Dante felt nothing no stinging pain, no aches nothing he truly was dead.

Suddenly his phone dinged, reaching into his jacket pocket he pulled it out and saw it was an alert from Sinstagram, it was a picture of Loona standing in front of a poster. Dante rolled his eyes and was about to put his phone away when he noticed he had received other notifications. Taking a look, he saw they were all from Octavia, clicking on one he saw a picture of Octavia standing in front of a fancy-looking house, looking sad, the caption said.

"Found this cool looking castle, reminds me of home,"

Dante quickly realized he had seen that house before it was just down the road from here. Dante was about to put his phone away, this wasn't his problem, Octavia was a big girl she could handle herself, but he stopped, and took another look at the photo, he saw how miserable she looked. He knew that he should go find her, that he should help her through whatever was going on with her. On the other hand, Dante had no real motivation he just wanted to sit here and wallow in his sorrows, to drown himself in liquor and Heroin, but then he remembered how Rose never gave up on trying to help people, whenever she found someone sad or upset, she would always try to help them no matter what. That determination and kindness were one of the reasons Dante fell for her in the first place, she never gave up on him she always tried to help him no matter how depressed he got or how much he inconvenienced her. Not only that but she also encouraged him to help others as well. Rose, like Dante lost her parents at a young age, she knew pain, she had been hurt and she never wanted anyone to feel the same pain, it was a lesson he took to heart. He wondered what she would say to him in this situation.

Stop wallowing in self-pity and help that poor girl! Dante jumped up and looked around, he thought for a moment he had actually heard Rose say something to him, but quickly realized it must have been his imagination.

Sitting back down he thought of what his mind had said and realized that yep that is what Rose would have said to him in that situation, she also would have swatted him on the back of the head for good measure. Smirking, Dante got up and left some money on the counter and headed out of the bar and down the road towards the house in Via's photo.

Arriving at the house Dante looked around and saw that Octavia wasn't there, disappointed but not surprised, he went back to her Sinstagram and saw the next photo she posted, it was a pic of her by a large globe that said Star Studios. Heading to the studio next Dante arrived but noticed that like the previous location, Octavia was not there, sighing Dante headed to the next location. Staring at the Hollywood sign Dante sighed and once again looked around, he thought for a moment he saw her but then upon closer inspection realized that it was not her just some girl wearing the same outfit. He was about to head to the next location when he suddenly bumped into someone.

"Hey, why don't you, Loona!" Dante shouted when he saw that it was his girlfriend he had just bumped into. Loona upon recognizing Dante sent him and scowl, turned, and started walking away when Dante reached out and grabbed her by the arm.

Loona tried to break free from the Imp's grasp but found that no matter how hard she tugged she just couldn't get free. Quitting her struggle Loona turned to face Dante her expression one of anger and frustration.

"What do you want?" she asked her tone cold and icy. Dante opened his mouth to say something, then closed it again, he looked away with a look of guilt and embarrassment on his face.

"Well?" Loona responded tapping her foot in frustration.

"Loona look, about what… I didn't… *sigh* I'm sorry for before, it was wrong of me to yell at you like that, what I said was harsh, and you didn't deserve to be treated like that," Dante said looking to the ground ashamed for his outburst.

"You're damn right about that," Loona stated feeling his grip on her arm weakening Loona pulled herself free and then went back to her phone to see the next location Octavia was at.

"Had any luck finding her?" Dante asked upon realizing what Loona was looking at. Loona hung her head and sighed.

"No, and I'm guessing you haven't had much luck either?" Loona asked Dante just shook his head. At that moment an idea popped into Loona's head and while she was still mad at Dante, she realized she still needed his help. Sighing Loona began walking and gestured for Dante to follow her.

"Huh?" Dante asked confused, Loona pinched the bridge of her nose and sent Dante an annoyed look.

"Look while I'm still really pissed at you, we both know we'll find Octavia faster if we work together so come on!" Loona shouted while impatiently gesturing for him to follow her.

Obliging Dante followed Loona all over the city going from landmark to landmark trying to find the missing princess but with no luck. Eventually, after hours of searching the sun went down and both Dante and Loona, exhausted and panting, were about to give up when suddenly Dante got a notification on his phone it was a Sinstagram update from Octavia showing a large planetarium. Finally having a solid location, they quickly googled the planetarium's location and headed over. Looking around the building the two demons headed right-hand side where they found a staircase that curved around the side of the building taking a few steps up Loona finally spotted Octavia sitting atop the guard wall crying. Gesturing to Dante the two headed up the stairs and reverted back to their original forms. The light and noise drew Octavia's attention and turning her head she saw both Dante and Loona heading up the stairs towards her.

"Uh hey," Loona said awkwardly to the crying demon, and Dante sent a friendly wave. Now normally the sight of Loona would have pissed Octavia off but at the moment she didn't really care.

"Hey," she replied before turning back around to look at the skyline, but then something came to mind.

"How did you find me?" she asked. She didn't tell anyone where she was going so she had no idea how these two could have found her.

"Your Sinstagram, nice picks by the way," Loona said as she began scrolling through her photos.

"Oh… thanks," Octavia replied awkwardly, Loona had never given her a compliment before it honestly felt strange to hear it from her.

Sensing that something was up Dante lifted Octavia's bag off the guard wall and gently put it down on the ground before lifting himself onto the wall to sit right next to Octavia.

"Gufetto we've been chasing you around this damn city all day so what up?" he asked, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"I can't believe I was so stupid; I spent all day looking for a place I could see some dumb meteor shower… and all I get is this," she said the last part tears streaming down her face as she gestured to the sky which was devoid of any stars just smoke and haze.

"Yeah smog's a bitch," Loona said pulling out a cigarette and her lighter.

Loona attempted to light the cigarette, but her lighter was being very uncooperative. Dante was about to offer her a flame of his own fire but quickly stopped when he remembered the last time, he tried to light a cigarette with his flame. It instantly burned through the cigarette and if not for the fact that it was his fire would have seared his face off. So, he relented and watched as Loona kept trying to get her lighter to work, it was then Octavia created a small magenta flame with her finger and offered it to Loona. Loona leaned in using the flame to light the cigarette, taking a drag she blew out a cloud of smoke which quickly blew into Octavia's face, the owl demon coughed and swatted the offending cloud away.

"You know your dad's really worried about you," Loona said sitting up on the guard wall joining both the Imp and Ars Goetia already sitting upon it.

"Right, that's why you both are here instead of him he couldn't be bothered to keep his promise and now he can't be bothered to come and get me himself," she stated her voice filled with anger and resentment.

"He'd rather spend his time screaming at my mom… why does he hate her more than he loves me?!" she asked the anger and resentment in her voice morphing into a deep sadness. Reaching forward Dante wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into a tight hug.

Feeling the familiar warmth of Dante's embrace Octavia buried her face into his shoulder and began crying, letting out all of the anger, bitterness, and disappointment she had been bottling up all day. Loona watched the display, usually the sight of her boyfriend hugging another girl, especially Octavia but instead Loona felt only pity for the poor girl, pity, and empathy. This poor girl felt alone and abandoned, she felt like those who were supposed to care about her, those who were supposed to love and be there for her had suddenly left her behind like all those promises of compassion and acceptance were all lies. Loona knew that feeling knew it all too well, and she wasn't just going to sit here and let her suffer.

"Sometimes it's not as simple as that," Octavia removed her face from Dante's shoulder and turned to face Loona.

"This kind of shit gets messy, everybody's got issues, especially dad's, and sometimes they fuck up… well all the time, but that doesn't mean they don't care," Loona explained, looking out at the city.

"If he cares, where is he?" Octavia asked angrily resting her head on her knees.

"He's somewhere down there," Loona explained.

"He's here?" Octavia asked, sounding genuinely surprised by the knowledge that her father came himself to find her.

"Looking for you, I mean try to cut your dad some slack, he may not always get it right but," at that moment Loona casually flicked her lighter, and at last it worked.

"He's trying, that's more important than you think," It was at that moment the clouds dissipated revealing the full moon, its light shining down on them.

Dante sent a warm smile toward Loona, he was so moved by what she had said, how she had despite her previous history with Octavia helped this girl overcome her sadness and realize that despite his flaws Stolas was trying and she should remember that. Listening to her talk and give her reasonings he saw that Loona wasn't as spoiled or ungrateful as he thought despite her rough exterior and abrasive attitude, she really did care about Blitz and appreciated his efforts. Standing up Loona stretched out her limbs and then looked to Octavia and Dante.

"Ready to go?" she asked, sending them both a smile, handing Loona the book Octavia stood up and then gave the Hellhound a hug, Loona smiled and patted Octavia on the head.

Breaking from the hug Octavia turned and pulled Dante into a tight embrace, which only lasted about two seconds before Octavia realized just how bad he smelt. Pulling away Octavia looked at Dante and was shocked by just how ragged and unkempt he looked.

"Fuck Dante are you ok?" she asked, her voice filled with concern, the smile on his face quickly faded away.

"No, no I'm not," he said mournfully. Before she could ask further Dante took the book from Loona and used it to open a portal to the rendezvous point.

As they stepped through the portal they were greeted by the sight of Blitz and Stolas. Upon seeing his adopted daughter Blitz tearfully ran to embrace Loona.

"Oh, Loona my sweet baby girl I'm so sorry, I'll never replace you, no matter," his statement was interrupted when Loona kicked him in the crotch. The rest of the demons looked on stunned by that little outburst.

Still needs some work apparently, Dante thought to himself as he watched Blitz squirm.

Dante's attention was diverted from his boss when he noticed Stolas scoop Octavia up into his arms and go on about how worried he was for her. During the tender moment, Blitz tried to give Loona a hug only for her to block him, but she did send him a warm smile for the attempt. It was at that moment the five demons' attention was diverted when fireworks began going off in the sky.

"What the fuck is that?" Loona asked as she recorded the brilliant explosions in the sky. Dante gave her a confused look.

"My acting career," Blitz replied bitterly, Loona sent him a smile.

"Fireworks Loona they're fireworks," he said as he watched the brightly colored explosions with the rest of the others, as they watched Loona reached over and grasped his hand in hers.

Epilogue

Later that night

Dante stood at the edge of his apartment roof looking down at the eight-story drop before him. Raising his left foot Dante stopped halfway holding his foot in place as if deciding whether he should take a step back or forward.

"Oh, fuck it," Dante said plopping down on the edge of the roof, letting out a tired sigh.

As he sat there, he looked up at the night sky his eyes eventually falling on the small white sphere that was heaven. Reaching forward, Dante made as if to grab the sphere, Looking down at his hand he saw it was empty, and he let out a short laugh.

"So close yet so far away," he said, his hand tightening into a fist.

"What is?" a voice from behind him asked, turning his head he saw Loona standing by the door to the stairs, wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts.

"What are you doing up so late shouldn't you be sleeping?" he asked, turning back to look at the sky.

"I should be asking you the same thing," she stated walking over to where he was sitting and sat down right next to him. After coming back from Earth Loona wanted to spend the night at his place, at first, he refused but she wouldn't take no for an answer, she claimed she was worried about him, and she wanted to make sure nothing bad happened.

"I'm sorry about earlier," he said for the fourth time that night, Loona smiled and patted him on the thigh.

"It's fine like I said before I forgive you," she said reassuringly, but from the look on his face, Loona could tell he wasn't convinced.

"Even so I had no right to yell at you like that, that I said it was wrong you're not-" he stopped when Loona raised a hand to cut him off.

"Look while yes I'll admit calling me out in a public place was a bit much," She couldn't help the anger seeping into her voice, Dante cringed.

"But... you were right I can be abit of an asshole at times and I could do to show Blitz a little bit more respect, he's given me so much after all," she explained giving his thigh a squeeze, Dante didn't really believe her but upon looking into her eyes he knew she was being honest and meant every word.

"So, what are you doing up and sitting on your roof?" she asked although she was pretty sure she already knew the answer to that, she hoped she was wrong though.

"Thinking," he said, Loona could hear the sadness in his voice.

"About what?" she asked, certain she was not gonna like the answer. Dante didn't respond at least right away, he just sat there staring up at the sky, Loona placed a hand on his shoulder, which seemed to have snapped him out of his funk.

"Her," he said his voice cracking as he did. Loona looked at him confused, not sure who the hell he was talking about until it dawned on her.

"Oh Dante," she said sympathetically pulling her boyfriend into a tight hug. Dante returned the hug wrapping his arms around her, his face buried into her chest.

"I've seen you sad about Rose but never like this, can you tell me why?" she asked, gently rubbing his back with her hand.

"Today is the day she… she… died," he finally choked out, sounding like he was fighting back tears. Loona's eyes went wide, she suddenly understood why he was so broken.

Losing someone you love is bad enough, the anniversary of said death must be extra bad, Loona thought to herself as she placed a hand on the back of his head and began running her fingers through his hair.

"Oh, Satan I'm sorry," she said in a sympathetic voice.

"The worst part is it's all my fault," he admitted his eyes filling with tears, with one or two beginning to run down his face.

"What do you mean it's your fault?" Loona asked unable to believe that someone like Dante could be responsible for a loved one's death.

"I mean, it's my fault she died, I'm the one who wanted to stay out late despite how dangerous the city got at night," he explained his voice cracking as he tried not to cry.

"This shit hole is always dangerous, no matter what time it is," Loona said reassuringly attempting to calm him down.

"But it gets worse at night I knew that She tried to tell me but I didn't listen I led us straight into a robbery, and I got overpowered and stabbed by some worthless mugger, I just stood there as he drove his knife into her heart!" he shouted his grip on Loona tightening, tears spilling from his eyes he couldn't fight it anymore. Anguished wails poured from Dante's mouth as he buried his face deeper into Loona's chest, she could feel his tears soaking through her shirt.

To say Loona was shocked by this display would be an understatement, she had seen him sad yes but usually he would just mope around and rarely cried, when he did it was usually just a tear or two, she rarely ever saw him openly weep like this. She sat silently letting Dante cry, deciding it was probably best for him to let it all out, after about ten minutes she decided to say something.

"Hey, you tried to fight the guy off right and besides you got stabbed, It wasn't like there was anything you could have done so it's not your fault," Loona tried to make her voice sound reassuring, Dante pulled away from her embrace and glared at her.

"There was something I could do I could have fought through the pain; I could have not let my guard down and left him an opening to land a hit, I could have listened to Rose but no, I was reckless and now she's gone… I'm worthless," he said slumping forward.

'You are not worthless!" Loona yelled shocked at hearing Dante talk like that.

"Yes I am, I can speak, read, and write thirty languages, I know several fighting styles, I can shoot someone from 1200 meters without a scope, I have a perfect memory, hell I can snap someone's neck with my bare hand but what good is any of that if I can't protect the people I love, so no I am worthless, less than worthless I'm nothing, I'm better off dead," he said his voice filled with despair and self-loathing. At that last statement, Loona freaked out, she proceeded to slap Dante and then grabbed him by the shoulders.

"Never, never say that ever again! You are not worthless you are not nothing! You matter, you matter to me you matter to Blitz, to Millie, to Moxxie, to Octavia, I know that you may feel like you're worthless, that you can't protect anyone but that's not true. You protect IMP when you go out in the field, you're part of the reason those idiots are still alive! You protect Octavia, you always seek to help her and keep her safe despite the fact she gets on your nerves. You always go out of your way to help and keep everyone safe," Loona removed her hands from Dante's shoulders and placed them on his face.

"And that is why I love you," she said in a gentle voice, her expression one of compassion care. More tears streamed down Dante's face as he buried his face back into Loona's chest.

"Thank you," he muttered through his tears, Loona smiled.

"No problem my love," Loona said running a hand through his thick black hair.

The two demons got up and headed back down to Dante's apartment and got back into bed, as they did Loona pulled Dante close and began cuddling him, Dante smiled, this was on par for her after all. The smile on his face quickly faded, however, as he thought back to what she had said, while yes it was kind and it was something he really needed to hear he just couldn't fight the feeling that she was wrong, that he was worthless, that he was useless. Afterall if he was as good as she said then why couldn't he protect Rose from that mugger, why couldn't he have protected Amelia from her abusive father? Dante let out a quiet sigh, leaning into Loona's embrace, Dante allowed himself to drift to sleep, and as usual, his thoughts drifted to Rose.

I'd do anything to see you again, he thought to himself as sleep overtook him.
