Author's Notes:

This has been in my head for a while too. I might use it for a fic, but that fic idea still needs polishing. But I didn't expect that this would be quite a long scene. So, short information, this is actually the ending of this planned fic.

This is the one I wanted to kinda parallel my Reciprocate AU, but with Raven pinning and no one potentially dying. They just never seemed to cross paths romantically. There would be many "would have confessed", and "was going to confess" moments but ultimately "never did". That was the context of the plot and this scene is how they finally ended together after so many "what ifs". More or less.

WARNING [ E ] : alcohol drinking, smut and lemons

Anyways Ta-da!

PS: They be mid twenties ish

~.~.~.~.~.~

It was night and the top floor of the Titans Tower where all the bedrooms were located is where this scene takes place.

In Raven's bedroom, particularly on the bed standing and turning around seeming to be dancing was Raven.

Her eyes were closed and she opened them for a moment only to be startled to see Damian just staring at her.

"Oh, Damian, what are you doing here?" She asked as his eyes studied her carefully. He noted the bottle of tequila she was holding, half empty as her other hand pulled her Bluetooth earphones from her ears.

"I… called you but you didn't answer, and I became worried…Sorry, I bypassed your lock." He quietly said as he noted her sluggish movements.

Raven tried to look sober but it was clear that she wasn't. She slowly tried to get down from her bed and Damian instantly bolted to her side to help her.

In her drunkenness, she offered her bottle first and he accepted it with no questions as he used his free hand to help her down. She then offered both her Bluetooth earphones to him too, which he just quietly pocketed.

He could smell the stench of alcohol from her. And it made his heart ache.

"Wha-what's wrong?" She mumbled eyes trying to focus.

He blinked and for a moment had forgotten why he was looking for her. He studied her face quietly. Her cheeks were red and so were her ears.

"Did you drink half of this?" He whispered and she stared at him, eyes still unfocused. But she was trying to understand his words the best she could. He could clearly see her effort in trying to do so.

Instead, she answered by saying "Let's…sit down?" She started sitting down and he followed her lead. Their backs leaning on her bed. "Gosh, I didn't think you'd see me like this but why'd you come here?" She turned her head to look at him quietly, her lids squinting at him.

He smiled vaguely and she frowned. "I… didn't tell you this but… we broke up 3 months ago."

Raven looked taken aback by the information. She still remembered how happy he was with his girl– well, ex-girlfriend.

The memories were fresh in her mind and it pained her.

"I guess… You should take a swing from the bottle." She laughed a little. A coping mechanism to try and hide her displeasure from recalling his recent ex.

But this was how they were. When one of them broke up with their significant other, they always came to one another to talk. Perhaps they got along well because they were quite similar.

But she was surprised that it took him 3 months to tell her about his breakup.

They always shared the news of their breakups right after it happened with their partner. Just for the other to reveal that they have someone in their lives currently.

Or if they were both single, they weren't ready for anything more.

Raven had always loved Damian.

But she had resigned the thought of becoming more with him because it seemed like he never saw her as more than a friend. And they never seemed to catch one another at the right time.

When she would find the strength to confess, she'd find him in the arms of another. It happened often enough that she knew. She had to let him go.

Ah, she felt the need for her bottle of alcohol again.

But he quietly studied her, how her face saddened. "Are you sad for me?" He asked and she smiled faintly with her gaze down.

"You seemed happy…" She mumbled. "I hoped you found the one you know?"

Damian pressed his lips onto a thin line.

"It's what we always hoped for with each other, right?" She chuckled then leaned forward toward him trying to grab the bottle of tequila as it was on his left side, furthest from her. But Damian pushed it further down from her reach with a frown.

"Are you drinking because of your ex?" He couldn't help but ask. And she stared at him and burst into genuine laughter.

She was drinking because of the man before her. She could never seem to get him. And even with all the relationships that she drowns herself in, she thinks of him often.

This man with green eyes. Who she had known since they were teens. Who she loved secretly for way too long.

Maybe it's why she gets nights like this.

A deep and profound sadness that she can't exactly say for fear of ruining their friendship. And because…well… Why was it?

Ah, yes, because the reality is, only she was constantly mourning what she wished could have been. But it never was for her and him. Because love didn't exist between them like that.

Raven didn't notice the tears that fell from her eyes until rough thumbs so tenderly brushed them off her cheeks.

For a moment, to collect her thoughts she chewed on her lower lip. She didn't notice how Damian's gaze locked on her lips as she did so.

"I thought you two were still together… I don't… we always tell each other everything…" She told him her eyes were a little bit more focused now.

At the very least, Raven took pride and valued the honesty in their friendship. They were always honest with each other; they even told each other about their first-time having sex with their then-partner. Aside from her true feelings for him… they weren't like this. They didn't hide things from one another.

"Are we really that off-tuned?" She couldn't help but add in a barely audible but broken tone.

Romantically they're so off-tune that maybe that's why they couldn't be together in that way. But as teammates and friends, they fit each other like a glove. A custom glove. A perfect fit because it was like they were made for each other.

At least… as friends.

And now they were here, a pair that used to be clockwork was no longer turning the same.

"I didn't tell you because I had to think about some things…" He replied in a whisper with his gaze lowered. He sighed as he stared at the wall.

But she couldn't help but sniffle because it proved just how off they were now. Maybe it was inevitable, especially because she harbored feelings of wanting to be more with him.

She was even convinced that she could treat him so much better than all his exes. But she could never prove that to her or him. She never had the chance to. She never had the courage to chase after him, especially when she sees how happy he is with someone else.

Raven was always scared that she could never compare to his other relationships.

"I see…" She tried to be strong and turned her head to the wall across from them too. She leaned her head against his shoulder, pressing her lips together.

"If you want to talk about it, I'm here." She added quietly, closing her eyes.

Even if his secrecy meant that they no longer were on the same page in regards to their friendship. She'd choose to ignore it.

Because Azar, she loved him too much to not be a part of his life even for just a little bit longer.

And so, Damian told her everything about his ex and why it didn't work out. Just like they always did. As their friendship always was.

And they took turns taking a sip from the bottle.

The thought of him drinking from the same bottle as her, the closest she'd ever get a kiss from him– brought her heart a flutter. But only she knew this. And likely only she felt such a thing over the thought.

She was certain that he wouldn't share the same rumination.

Damian's hand which was the closest to Raven held her hand and his thumb would make rhythmic circles on the back of her hand.

Maybe it was the drunkenness but Raven wasn't sure if he always did that to her. Or was this a first?

"Raven," He called to her and she pulled away from his shoulder and blinked as she stared at him.

Waiting. Nothing new for her really.

She wasn't quite sure if he had held his breath, but if he was why?

It looked like he was holding his breath. And he really was.

She became worried.

"Raven, the reason I came here… so late…" His eyes darted around her and she frowned and furrowed her brows.

His eyes suddenly landed on hers with determination which startled her, "The reason I didn't tell you that I broke up with…" He gulped and it was oddly a little too audible than they expected.

His nervousness was so unlike him.

"All my relationships…" He watched her tilt her head a little and somehow both her hands were over his and they were facing one another completely.

She was trying to understand him and his words, as she squinted her eyes with furrowed brows and a slightly tilted head. He could see that she was trying to focus solely on him and what he would say.

He smiled gently at her, "It seemed like I was looking for you in all of my relationships."

He could see that she didn't understand his words. He knew that he shouldn't be talking to her when she was drunk, but if he didn't do this now then he might never confess.

He placed his hands on either side of her shoulders, "Raven, I love you."

The silence felt long but it wasn't uncomfortable.

As the words sunk down onto Raven's very bones, the tears started to fall and Damian was left startled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to ruin our friendship– if you're upset–" He prattled on until soft lips touched his lips.

He felt her tongue brush his lips and he opened his mouth to allow her entry. Both their mouths tasted like the bottle of tequila they drank, even so damn was her mouth so sweet.

He didn't know when he started dreaming of what her mouth tasted like, but he knew it was long enough.

And now here he was, his tongue entangled with hers.

The two of them have already experienced sex. And so, when Raven was already straddled on top of him, there was a hint of expertise in her movement.

And when his hands found themselves under her shirt and over her bare breast against her soft body– in those gentle movements, it was clear he was experienced too.

Their lips not parting for a second.

And when her hips started to rock against him, Raven couldn't help but pull away a little as she shivered due to the lump between his legs that grazed her core.

Their lips were just a few centimeters apart but she couldn't help but sigh and he groaned in response.

He pulled her head down by the back of her neck so he could capture her lips again and pressed her hips down back to his erection and she wiggled in response to the contact.

Maybe it was the alcohol or maybe she didn't want to waste the opportunity but Raven wrapped her arms around his neck as she very carefully rocked herself against him. But she couldn't help but pull her lips away from him whenever she shivered or moaned or sighed from the contact of her core with his erection.

She honestly couldn't believe that she was this close to him.

And he didn't like it when she'd pull away. There was a possessiveness in the way he'd pull her back to him every time she recoiled from her crotch touching his.

She suddenly stopped and he frowned deeply, "I've always loved you." She confessed and he inhaled the very breath she exhaled against his lips.

"What?" He asked quietly, not believing her words. Forgetting just how much he wanted all her clothes off so that he could do more between her legs with his bareness too.

She nodded slowly observing his face, "This isn't the alcohol, I swear, but I've always wanted you…" Her hands found their way under his shirt to the v of his hips as they traveled up his abs and stopped just below his pecs. "Naked and making me moan your name…"

He couldn't help but breathe in a shaky breath at the image.

"I'm sorry I'm a bad friend." She added with watery eyes.

"I promise you, you're the only one I ever want to be with." He whispered as he studied her face. She shook her head and chuckled a little.

"You must have said that to all of your girlfriends." Raven simply stated no malice in her voice.

He shook his head, catching her eye and she blinked, staring at him, as he said, "Believe it or not, I've never said it to any of them."

And she did. She did believe him. Was it the alcohol again? Her desire for him since long ago? Or maybe his earnest way of speaking?

Raven didn't really know. But she believed him.

Her heart was fluttering with his words and she nodded. She leaned forward to him and kissed him again.

"I won't ever let you go." He said pecking her back on the lips and she nodded. "I'm not kidding Raven." His hands which were now on her hips gripped her firmly.

Her stare was calm and then a shy smile bloomed on her face, "Alright." She responded as her cheeks turned red.

This time it was Damian who was left to wonder if it was the alcohol or she was shy over his confession. Or more like the possessiveness he had over her.

He laid his claim on her clear and bare after all.

She pulled one of her hands from under his shirt and her fingertips then brushed his fine jawline and a small smile was on her lips as she pressed her body close against him. Chest-to-chest. "You should know." She paused and her smile somehow turned eerie as she tilted her head a little.

"I won't either." She said solemnly.

The way she looked at him, he was convinced she was completely sober. Because fuck, she had wanted him for way too long to let him go without making sure her hold on him was nothing less than a death grip. Nothing less than her mind clear of any form of haziness.

She didn't want to think the boldness was the alcohol speaking.

This time it was his turn to just nod in response.

The hand that was on his jaw gripped the hem of his shirt as her other hand slipped out from under his shirt to undress him better. She then tossed the shirt as if she was annoyed and ground her hips against him, her chest still pressed against his.

Raven was on her knees, which made her seem taller than him as he was leaning against the bed. She roughly pulled his head by pulling his hair.

"You're mine." She simply stated and he groaned.

"Yeah, I am." He answered before her lips crashed against his possessively. His hands found the top part of her tank top against her back.

He pulled away and the displeasure on her face was clear, "Let me take it off or I will rip it off."

The words did not seem to reach Raven's ears because she just leaned into him and continued kissing him while rocking her hips at a steady pace, her grip on him tightening whenever her hips stroked against his hardened dick.

Damian hoped this top wasn't a favorite, then the sound of cloth ripping overlapped the sounds of their wet kisses. Which made Raven pull away to stare at him with shock.

His eyes were clear, no remorse, "I warned you."

She shook her head quietly, feeling her back become chilly at the coldness of her room and the bareness of her back. As if he could read her thoughts, his big hands caressed her back, warming her up, before pulling the ruined top off her arms.

Leaving her topless before him.

Damian then buried his face on her neck and she sighed leaning back to let him do what he wanted with her this time. His lips kissed and licked her neck making sure to leave a hickey as he went lower and lower. Leaving a trail of red dots on her chest. His mouth then found her nipple and he gently sucked on it.

He didn't think he'd be able to taste her tender breast. Her free breast was easily captured by his big hand and Raven's hand gripped his wrist, the one by her hip. He could feel the magic pulsing from that hand as his mind which was hazy from the alcohol cleared up.

He inhaled deeply, "You're sober?" He knew that she was and she was making him sober too, but he still wanted to ask.

"Yes, I thought we both should be." She answered back staring at his beautiful eyes and added after a minute, "Have you…changed your mind?"

He shook his head, "No."

Raven sighed in relief; thankful it wasn't the alcohol that made him want her. At least in her mind that was what she was thinking.

His thumbs then caressed the lower curves of her breasts. "I didn't think I'd ever see these…" Her hold on his wrist was still there.

Raven giggled as she stood up and extended a hand toward him, "Oh, you will see more than these." She groped one of her breasts with her free hand, his eyes narrowing at the sight. Damian then took her hand and got up.

The next moment she was turned and her back met her soft mattress.

He had pushed her down.

Her eyes were surprised at the sudden shift of view. He crouched down before her, his smile sly.

"Tell me how long you've wanted me." He commanded, his rough hands that were on her waist slowly sliding over her hips then stopped at where her legs and crotch met. His eyes stared at her unkindly as he waited for her response.

Raven was too stunned to speak, in fact, she didn't really hear him. She couldn't believe that he was here before her spread legs, his hands dangerously so close to the spot that was begging for his touch.

He lifted a leg, as he kissed the side of her knee, and went lower and lower to the direction of her crotch. Her violet eyes just locked on his green eyes that were patiently waiting for him.

"Raven." He called out to her firmly then gently bit the skin closest to her crotch on her inner thighs.

She exhaled shakily, her eyes wide in anticipation, "Sorry?"

He sighed aloud and pulled away from her, making her prop herself up by her elbows. His hands found themselves on the garter of her shorts just between her hips and waist.

"Tell me, how long have you wanted me?" He calmly said, his gaze steady. They were both sober now.

"You can say– since always." She answered and his eyes flickered with desire for a moment but he seemed to have tucked it away the next instance.

"Oh?" He asked, leaning forward to her, "And how badly do you want me now?"

Raven shakily exhaled, she knew. He wanted her to beg.

"You have to tell me clearly, Raven, what you want from me." He simply stated.

"Fuck." She swore softly and it brought a small smile on his lips. Then her eyes landed on him with determination. "I want you to fuck me."

He slowly nodded his head, clearly teasing her and she continued on, "Roughly– sensually– in every way. I want you."

His smile was so genuine it made Raven's heart constrict in her chest.

Damian hooked his fingers over the garter of her silk shorts and peeled her shorts off only to audibly gasped when he realized she wore no underwear underneath. He gulped.

His mind drifted for a mere second to her dancing on her bed, shaking her ass.

"Tell me, do you dream of me as often as I dream of you?" He asked and he heard her sharp intake of air. He chuckled.

"Look at you, you're so wet." He mumbled, her slit soaked to the point he could see a wet streak going down to her ass. How her shorts weren't wet made him think this woman had one nice fine and fat ass.

He bit his lower lip at the thought.

"Damian." She nudged him using her knee that he held again and he stared at her. "Please fuck me like you do in my wet dreams."

And that made him pull her closer to him by the knees as his mouth crashed onto her lips. Then it went lower and lower, giving sloppy kisses to her stomach and then suddenly claiming her wet cunt.

Raven gasped loudly.

This was really happening. This wasn't a dream. Her fingers then tangled themselves around his black hair. She couldn't recall how many times she had imagined this awake or asleep.

"I'm yours." She squeezed her eyes. A part of her willing this situation not to be a mere dream.

Damian moaned in agreement, sending small rumbles against her pussy as his mouth toyed with her aroused slit with expertise. The thought of him giving other women heads didn't bring her joy, but it didn't fully upset her either. After all, now she was getting the best service because he was quite experienced.

She couldn't help it when her legs started pressing against Damian's head. She was panting quite heavily too.

He was just fucking her wet cunt with his mouth and tongue. His thumbs caressed her inner thighs which was just heightening her arousal. There was something about how those rough hands stroked her thighs that was driving her mad too.

When Raven reached her climax, she screamed his name. Her mind was abuzz as he gulped down her juices like it was the sweetest thing he had taken in his mouth. And maybe it was because finally, this was real.

Damian's lips kissed her folds and her pelvic and then inner thighs as he let her still ride her high a little longer. He also took the time to marvel at how she screamed his name and how he loved it so much.

He admitted, that even when he was in a relationship with someone else, he'd dream of Raven like this. When the dreams become persistent, he would break up with his partner. He knew it was wrong to think of someone else in this way while with another person, which is why he'd leave the relationship.

In fact, the most recent breakup he had was because of that.

He wondered if Raven was the same. But he had a lot of time to ask her about it.

When he noticed that Raven was close to catching her breath, he pulled away and stood up for a moment to bring his shorts down and pulled it off of his ankles by stepping on them. Raven was hazily looking at his general direction and as he kneeled back onto the bed, she was finally coherent. She felt him rub something firm against her sensitive vulva, brushing her clit too.

She gasped raggedly, eyes rolling back and mouth ajar. She heard a deep chuckle and then wet kisses on her neck and all she could do was grip her sheets.

And then the firmness rubbing against her outer vagina was now entering her slowly.

Raven gagged. It was so different from her other experiences. With wide eyes that flicked on him, her hands suddenly gripped his shoulders, digging her nails there too.

"You're too big!" Her eyes showed her sheer worry, but it only brought his desire another level higher.

"Don't say that." He groaned, eyes reflecting his lust for her. "You are squeezing me." He wasn't even halfway in.

He leaned forward to her, "Baby, relax, you're too nervous."

Raven shook her head, "You're too big." Her chest heaved.

He cupped her face and caressed her cheek, "Relax, I will take good care of you for the rest of my life."

Those words more than just comforted Raven, she couldn't describe it but it helped relax every muscle on her body, even her vagina, making him slip into her with ease. Her back arched towards him as she buried her face in the crook of his neck and shoulder as she felt his full length inside of her.

She moaned as pressed her opened mouth against his skin.

"I will move." He groaned and she responded by sucking his skin and wrapping her legs around his waist.

Damian thrusts into her with passion as they both vocally showed the pleasure the two were enjoying by their consistent moaning and calling of each other's names. The squelching sounds of their fluids almost drowned out their voices.

"I'm never letting you go," Damian whispered to her, his back red from Raven's passionate clawing.

"Fuck…" She moaned, eyes closed and he pressed his lips against her temple.

"I love you." He mumbled and Raven's eyes opened and her hand found his cheek.

"I've always loved you." She answered back, eyes clear.

A smile bloomed on her lips as she saw him smile at her, his eyes watery.

He sighed burying his face against her neck as his thrusts slowed down to become gentler. He pulled his head away from her neck and rested his forehead against hers.

And they could see it in each other's gaze. The love they felt for one another.

The pace was slow and sensual as their eyes said what words could no longer express. Their lips against one another as she slowly and softly panted at each sensual grinding of his hips to hers.

And soon they reached their high as both closed their eyes in tranquility.

Damian kissed her forehead again as a tear slipped from Raven's eyes from the intensity and she sighed from the contact of his lips against her head.

This was a good start to the end of a very long yearning for one another.

FIN.

Author's Notes:

I'm sorry guys, I really don't like the half till-end part…

Initially, it was gonna end at 'A smile bloomed…' and so no one finished in words, but as I reread it, I was like, okay, I think it deserves it.

I hope you enjoyed it! (Or not because the latter half bothers me to no end, but also because how it ended makes me like it a little bit more.)

(Maybe, I can cut the first half and use it somewhere else and then revamp the mid-to-end part….)
