Violet led the three girls into Ton DC and led them to the centre of the village, where the bomb fire was, which was where all of the seconds met in the morning and gathered around at night.

"Right, take a seat, and I will help you enter the spirit realm," Violet said.

Violet could see that many of the villagers were interested in what they were doing. No doubt due to Lexa standing next to them.

"Do you have farmers in Ton DC? After I have found a place, I would like for them to see if it's farmable," Violet asked.

"Of course, I wouldn't go too far south. All of the tribes are within around a week and a half from the capital of Polis. Any further and trade would be limited," Lexa warned.

"I will keep it in mind. I also don't want to be too close to the ruins of any cities to avoid the creatures in them."

"Yes, that would also be good. I wouldn't want them getting closer to our lands," Lexa agreed.

"Have they ever come close?" Violet asked, interested in the creatures.

"Not here, but clans on the edges have, as well as the creatures that live in the sea as well."

"Okay, well, you three sit down, and we will be on our way," Violet said to Dela, Tris and Octavia.

The three of them took a seat, and Violet gathered Astral energy in her hand and pressed against the three girls one by one. Each of them slumped forward, looking like they had passed out.

Violet saw Lexa looking around, maybe in the hope of seeing one of the three girls. Violet decided to humour Lexa and used her sling ring to allow the Astral dimension to be viewed.

There were several gasps as the three girls flying above their bodies came into view. Lexa shot her a look. "I will have some farmers for when you get back,"

Violet smiled at Lexa. "Thank you," Violet said, taking a seat next to the three girls.

Violet closed her eyes, and her Astral form left her body. The magic she used to let everyone see the Astral realm faded, and they vanished from view.

"Can we fly like this in our bodies?" Octavia asked as she floated over to Violet.

"I think there is a spell to fly, but I will have to check," Violet said.

Violet looked around, making sure she was facing the right way. "Right, follow me," Violet said as she flew into the sky and soon was above the giant trees.

"Wow, this is amazing," Dela said as she looked around.

"It reminds me of the view from the commander's tower," Tris said.

"It's far better than the view from the Ark," Octravia said with a large grin.

"The view from the Ark isn't that bad. Anyway, now we fly that way," Violet said, pointing southwest.

"Lead the way then," Octavia said.

Violet smiled and did just that quickly, flying away from Ton Dc.

"What clans are down this way?" Octavia asked as they flew.

"The Shadow Valley and Cliff clans are down this way. They are both quite peaceful clans and support Heda," Tris said.

The River clan is to the south of Ton Dc," Dela added.

"Do you have a place in mind?" Octavia asked Violet.

"Sort of. I haven't actually checked it out, so it may turn out to be a bad place."

The forest quickly passed under them as they made their way southwest. Eventually, Violet saw the large river that she had seen when scouting the world back when she was on the Ark.

She thought it would be a very good place to make a settlement. And it was far enough away that the people from the Ark wouldn't come in contact with the grounders very often.

"Follow me. It's along this river," Violet said to the other girls as she turned more to the west.

They flew up the river as Violet looked for the spot that she thought would be perfect. Eventually, they came to a section of the river that was on a slight U-bend.

"This is a pretty nice area with fresh water from the river," Dela said as they looked down on the area.

"Not only that, but there is clear land. That should make farming easy," Octavia said.

"Yes, there is plenty of land to grow crops and raise animals," Violet said.

"How far away are we from Ton DC?" Dela asked.

"Hmm, about 150 miles, not sure how long that would take to travel."

"With horses, maybe six days," Tris said after thinking about the distance for a moment.

"Well, let's all look around and see if there is anything else of note in the area," Violet said as she flew up higher.

Looking around, there wasn't anything to really catch her eye. There was just forest as far as she could see.

"Let's fly upriver and see if we find anything," Violet called out, and they all started to fly further upriver.

"There is something coming up," Dela called out.

Violet looked over to where Fela was facing and saw what she was talking about.

Everyone stopped a short distance away from the decaying building.

"What is it?" Tris asked.

"Not sure, some kind of processing facility," Violet said, guessing at what it used to be.

"Let's see if we can work it out," Octavia said as she flew towards the ground.

Violet watched as Tris and Dlea followed after Octavia as they explored the ruins. Violet took the time to fly higher in the sky. Once she was far above the ground, Violet looked around and she could make out what she suspected used to be a town not too far away from the factory.

With a new destination in mind, Violet flew back towards the ground to wait for the other three to finish exploring.

"Everything is rusted and decayed," Octavia said as she flew to the side of Violet.

"Well, 300 years of neglect will do that."

"Will everything be rusted away?" Dela asked as she floated down.

"No, the airport I went to wasn't that bad other than mould and the walls starting to crumble. I think there is a town further upriver we can visit."

"Can we? I have never seen a town from the past before?" Dela asked excitedly.

"You never been to Polis?" Tris asked, sounding surprised.

"I couldn't make the two-day trip with my legs," Dela said sadly.

"Well, we can visit at some point then. But for now, let's go explore the town. Keep an eye out for any strange creatures," Violet said, remembering the ape-like creatures that had attacked her in the airport.

"Do you think there will be any there?" Octavia asked, sounding worried about the possibility.

"Maybe we are about 150 miles from the airport I was at, so it's not impossible for them to be in the area," Violet cautioned.

"Okay, let's go," Dela said excitedly.

Violet grinned, seeing how enthusiastic Dela was. They slowly made their way towards the town. Violet kept her eyes out for animals in the area to make sure the people on the Ark would have animals to hunt and eat.

As they flew over to the town, Violet saw several herds of deer in the forest. There would undoubtedly be wolves and panthers if there were deer in the area.

Happy with the amount of animals she had seen, Violet started to pay more attention to the town that was coming into view. As they got closer, it was easy to see some of the large tower buildings had collapsed over time.

As they got close, the remains of a road could be seen, which had been overtaken by nature, with plants having grown through it. Following the road, it led to the rusted remains of a bridge that had collapsed and disappeared into the river.

Several large metal pillars were all that remained of the former bridge.

"Wow, everything is covered in green," Dela said, with Tris nodding in agreement.

"Polis doesn't look like this?" Tris asked, confused.

"That's because people live there. If they didn't, it would look a lot like this," Violet explained.

"Well, let's explore then," Octavia said, taking the lead and flying across the river.

Dela and Tris followed quickly after. Violet followed a moment later, keeping her eyes open for any of the creatures she had met. But as they flew further into the town, there was no movement at all.

Then again, from what she saw of the creatures, they seemed to react to movement and at the moment, they were in astral form, so they wouldn't be able to detect them.

Violet flew into some of the buildings to check what they looked like on the inside. Every building that she checked was covered in mould on the inside, with some of the floors having collapsed or rotted away.

Violet doubted that anything in the large tower buildings would be salvageable. With a sigh, she flew out of the tower building and began looking around for shops.

Ideally, she was looking for a hunting store. She wasn't sure how the guns would have held up after 300 years. However, crossbows were made from plastic, metal and fibreglass, all things that should be fine even after 100s of years.

Not to mention that they would be weapons that the Grounders wouldn't be against, like guns. As she searched, she kept her eyes open for any strange creatures.

Most of the signs for the shops had faded away or been destroyed by the weather. Making it impossible to tell what some of the shops were. However, some were recognisable by what was in them.

Most of them seemed to be like takeaways or restaurants with the odd hairdressers thrown in.

"There are a lot of houses not far away. Shall we look through them?" Octavia asked as she floated down to Violet's side.

"No, we can do that later. Even if we find something now, we can't pick it up, and I am not sure if we will remember where the house is. I think the main shopping district is this way."

"Oh, we could just open a portal to it when we are in our real bodies?"

"Ya, go get Dela and Tris, and we will go check it out," Violet asked Octavia.

"Okay, met you in that direction," Octavia called back as she flew away.

Violet rolled her eyes at how excited Octavia was acting before she remembered that Octavia had spent most of her life confined to a single room.

Violet quickly flew up the road towards what she hoped would be a large shopping centre.

Dela, Tria and Octavia joined her as the large buildings came into view.

"There is a sporting good to the left," Octavia called out.

"Let's go check it out," Violet called out and made her way towards the sporting goods store.

The buildings looked to be in better condition. Or, at the very least, they weren't falling apart. Violet flew closer to the ground as they arrived in front of the store.

"Do you think any clothes will have survived? I could do with some new underwear and socks," Octavia asked.

"Maybe the stuff still wrapped up in the back will have survived, but the rest of it on the shop floor will either have rotted or be mouldy."

"So what are we looking for in here?" Tris asked.

"Bows mainly. There should be some guns, but mainly bows. After all, there is a way to create arrows with the mystic arts."

"Really?" Dela asked, surprised.

"Yes, it's more advanced than you can do at the moment. But if I can make a sword or axe, why not an arrow."

Together, they entered the store. Violet kept her eyes on the roof, looking for the ape-like creatures she had met in the airport. But thankfully, there was nothing up there.

As Violet had predicted, the clothing on the shop floor had mostly rotted away; however, some still looked fine.

Violet quickly made her way to the section that had most of the hunting supplies. Violet ignored the section for fishing and camping for the time being.

Eventually, she found the section for bows and crossbows. She was surprised at the selection that the store had. There was a section for compound bows, recurve bows, and crossbows, one for adults and another for children.

"Wow, these are some strange bows," Dela said as she looked at the compound bows and crossbows.

"Heda personal guards have some of these, but there are only three of them," Tris said, pointing at the crossbows.

"Haven't they tried to make more?" Octavia asked.

"Of course they have, but none of them have been as good as the crossbows they had found," Tris said.

Violet wasn't surprised that they couldn't remake a crossbow as strong as the ones they had found. They were precisely engineered tools. It was something that could only be made with machines. No doubt they could make crossbows, but nothing like the ones on the wall. Violet doubts that the Ark could either. Mostly due to not having the tools needed.

"We can come pick these up later, as well as some of the bows," Violet said.

Violet looked around as the three girls started to inspect the bows and crossbows as well as they could without being able to pick them up.

Soon, Violet found what she was looking for. The gun section of the store.

There was a large glass display that created a counter filled with handguns and handgun bullets. Behind that was a rack filled with shotguns and rifles.

"Are you going to give them to the Ark?" Octavia asked.

"Some of them I will. The shotguns, for example, would be good for hunting. As I am sure, none of them can use a bow for shit."

"What about the rest?"

"I throw them in the mirror dimension. That way, if they are needed, I can still get them. Now I think we should head back. We can return with our real bodies."

"I guess it's going to take a while to fly back," Tris said.

"Na, going back will be much easier," Violet said.

"How we will have to find Ton DC?" Dela asked.

Violet smiled. "Close your eyes and focus on your bodies. You should feel a tugging sensation. Grab onto that, and you will be pulled back to your body," Violet explained.

Violet could see that Tris looked sceptical, but Dela and Octavia closed their eyes after her explanation and tried to find the sensation she was talking about.

A few seconds later, Tris also closed her eyes. Violet didn't say anything as she waited. There was nothing she could do to help them find that sensation she was talking about, so she just hoped all three of them would find it.

Dela was the first to find it and vanished from view as her astral form was sent rocketing back into her body. Octavia succeeded a few minutes later and also vanished.

Tris's eyes snapped open as she looked around, seeing that both Dela and Octavia had vanished.

"Don't rush it and close your eyes and focus on your body," Violet said again.

Tris let out an annoyed huff but did as Violet said and closed her eyes again. Violet wasn't sure how long she stood there before Tris finally succeeded and vanished from view.

Violet smiled, closed her eyes, found the tugging sensation, and pulled on it. The world turned into a streaky blur, and her eyes snapped open, looking at the forest floor.

Violet sat up as the world came back into focus. Violet looked over at Tris, Dela and Octavia. Both Dela and Octavia looked fine, but Tris looked like she was about to be sick.

"Take deep breaths. It helps," Violet said.

"Welcome back. Dela and Octavia said you found some land?" Lexa asked, taking a seat across from Violet.

"Yep, I just need to see if it's farmable and then go tell the Ark about it."

"You also visited a town?"

"Yes, we went to a sporting store and found some bows and crossbows," Violet said.

"How many are there?" Lexa asked.

Violet let a hum. "There is a good amount of compound bows and recurve bows. As for crossbows, I only saw 6 of them. But there could be more in the back storage."

"I have gathered some farmers if you are ready to go now?" Lexa asked.

"Sure, we can go now," Violet said, standing up.

"Okay," Lexa said, standing up and waving some people over.

"Heda," they said, greeting Lexa.

"Are you three coming, or would you like to stay here?" Violet asked Tris, Dela and Octavia.

"Of course, we are coming. We will be able to touch things this time," Octavia said, excitedly jumping to her feet.

Violet looked over to Tris and Dela, who both stood up standing next to Octavia.

"Okay, then let's go," Violet said, slipping the sling ring onto her finger and creating a portal.

Tris, Dela and Octavia were the first to step through, which seemed to make the rest of the grounders much more relaxed, and the farmers went through after them carrying their tools.

After them, Lexa walked to the portal with two of her guards and stepped through. Violet was the last to pass through before she closed the portal.

"Is this all the land that needs checking?" Lexa asked Violet.

Lexa turned to look at one of the farmers. "Well, it will need some work before it can be used to be farmed on Heda. But we can check if the soil is any good."

"That's okay. It will be up to the Ark to make it suitable for farming. I just want to know that things will grow here," Violet said to the farmer.

"How long do you think it will take?" Lexa asked.

"Maybe in an hour, we will need to clear a few areas and check the soil, Heda."

Lexa looked at Violet. "That's fine. I will leave one guard with you in case of a wild animal. We have time to head into the town you found, right?"

"Of course. I will set an alarm for one hour, and then we will return here," Violet said as she pulled the phone out of her pocket and set an alarm.

Violet put the phone back in her pocket and focused on the sporting goods store before she created another, much larger portal. Violet saw that the farmers and Lexa's guard all looked very interested in what was on the other side of the portal.

Lexa didn't wait this time but took the lead in walking through the portal with her guard following her, looking more cautious about their surroundings.
