I don't own Kingdom Hearts or Batman. They belong to DC, Disney, and Square Enix. And we're back again with lots of Red Hood action! As well as Easter egg goodness! Now before we begin, we've got some reviews to respond to...

Gamelover41592: Oh, trust me, we're only getting started with the script flips, more of them are yet to come. Even in this chapter! Oh, and the Batman musical is both a nod to the Batman Beyond episode "Out of the Past." At the beginning of that episode, Terry takes Bruce to see that Musical for his Birthday... he hated it. XD The Musical also appeared in the Gotham Knights game, I can't remember if it was a story mission or a major side-quest, but Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin, depending on who you play as will comment on it if you find the ad for it in an abandoned theater. It could have made appearances in other media but that's what I recall when making that reference in the chapter.

olehbilenko93: And we are back again! With a new chapter, as well as very late responses to PMs. Sorry about that to everyone with questions they wanted to ask in private.

the mysterious Mr.E: Thank You!

Guest: Thanks and I will get back to Darkness in Kingdom Hearts once I figure out how exactly to write the final confrontation with Sidious and Venom to go. Plus, it's been very busy this summer with real life! Hopefully, more chapters will be posted a bit more frequently.

VaderSkywalker: Actually, the Enchanted Forrest is a reference to Frozen 2. Where the Northuldra and the elemental spirits live and are currently trapped at this point in time. Has nothing to do with Once Upon A Time. Hope that clears things up...

edboy4926: Thank You!

Guest: And here's the next chapter. And actually, you might not have to worry about... you know what. Just read the chapter and you see what happens.

And with that out of the way, here's the next chapter! Enjoy!

Chapter 4: Eternal Winter

"Two days... two days have passed since Anna went out alone to search for her sister. Unfortunately, there haven't been any signs of the winter stopping."

Jason walked through the castle with Sora and Ace at his side, with the former dressed in snow gear. Red Hood pulled out the tracking device with no response to it, "However, Anna never activated her tracker which means she's either okay but lost... or was killed."

He put the tracking device away and pulled out the map. As he stared at the image of the North Mountain, "That vision Sora had... if it was accurate to this time... chances are Elsa's hiding in the North Mountain. Still, can't just assume the facts based on visions, what we experienced could have been from another timeline. One where Thrawn didn't meddle with that magical artifact." He then glanced to the Imperial Base, "The only real fact I know is where their base is... just a couple of miles outside this Kingdom... any chance of finding who the spy is will be in there, and the sooner it's taken out... the better chance Sora will be safer..."

Deactivating the device, he glanced to the snowy outside window to see Hans playing the part of a compassionate Prince, "Hans is expecting me to go over the plan with him and the other politicians before making a move against the Empire... but I'm not stupid enough to think he's not a suspect. Besides, all they'll ever do is think about themselves before seeing the big picture. Not to mention, I'm not letting the spy know the plan so he can warn the Empire before we attack. So, I need to think of a way around that... Afterward, I can find Elsa and maybe meet Anna there or run into her on the way. I just pray to God she hasn't gotten herself killed."

He then got a beep from his wrist communication device, he activated it, and Ezra's voice spoke through it, "Jason, it's been a few days, have you found the Imperial Base?"

"I have but another problem is getting in the way," Jason answered. He then proceeded to explain the events of the Coronation turned into a survival of eternal winter. He also mentioned Sora's vision of an event that could've been or the events of another universe. He then stated, "Know anything like that Bridger?"

"The Eternal Winter? No, I never heard of a Force-User that can control ice and snow," He admitted.

"I have, I just never encountered any this powerful," Jason stated thinking of Ice, Killer Frost, Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold, Icicle Jr., and other Cryomancers he and Batman had seen over the years. Both heroes and villains alike.

"However, the visions you described," Ezra continued, "Are familiar. I've seen visions of the future but never as clearly as the vision you saw... not to mention, I was the only one that could see the visions."

"Do you think the World between Worlds has anything to do with it?" Jason wondered.

"I doubt it... I've been through it before and it never affected me this way... then again... I never interfered with the future before." Ezra couldn't help but admit, "It's like you said, you could be witnessing visions of what was supposed to happen before the Empire started meddling."

"Only one way to know for sure, I have to find Elsa," He stated, "Sora... or at least his future self... mentioned her by name... she might know if she ran into a version of him while running away from her home."

"Slow down," The Jedi cautioned him, "Don't forget the main reason why you're there. Stopping the Imperial Occupation."

"I haven't forgotten, once that base has been shut down, I'm going to find her," Jason gave Sora a slight smirk, making the boy brighten up.

"What makes you think you can find her when no one else has?" Ezra wondered.

Jason then pulled out a glove from his pocket, the same glove Anna removed before the Eternal Winter started, and glanced to Ace, "I have a lead on her... I'll contact you when I make any progress..."

Hanging up, Jason gestured to Sora, "Come on, let's go stop the bad guys, and find our missing friends."

Sora eagerly ran to his side, "Will I be able to help in any way?"

"For stopping the Bucket Heads, no, you're not ready for that," The Red Hood pocketed the glove, "But convincing Elsa to come back... you've got a big part in that. You'll understand when we get there."

Sora nodded as they walked downstairs to where the surviving Arendellian Soldiers were, each one was carrying a Stormtrooper blaster. Since the Eternal Winter started, Jason taught them how to use them so they'd have a better chance against the Remnant. They believed he figured it out when he escaped their prison... if only they knew they were very similar to other firearms he used. Still, the point was they had no love for the Empire due to the attack, and believed Jason when he mentioned one of them was a traitor. It was enough to get them to believe Hans's true intentions as well.

Unfortunately, everyone else seemed to believe Hans was a Siant. He didn't blame them of course, he was helping Arendelle's citizens through these troubled times. Trying to keep everything from tearing themselves apart. But if Hans is not the spy, if he still refuses the return the power if he came back safely with Elsa and Anna after the threat has ended... he'd make sure Hans wouldn't live long enough to abuse that power. Jason asked the Captain, "You men ready?"

"I believe so," The captain declared, "Although, I doubt we have the manpower to take them head-on. What's the plan?"

Jason smirked as he explained the plan to them...

Meanwhile, the Kingdom is completely covered in snow as two men argue in the town square, "No, no. You've got the bark facing down. The bark needs to be face up."

"Bark down is drier!"

They both started to pull at the bark as they continued to argue, "Bark up!"

Hans and two guards gave out cloaks to the people, "Cloak? Does anyone need a cloak?"

He offers one to a woman, "Arendelle is indebted to you, Your Highness."

"The castle is open. There is soup and hot glogg in the Great Hall." He then hands the stack of cloaks in hand to a guard, "Here. Pass these out."

At that moment The Duke walks towards him with his two guards, "Prince Hans, are we just expected to sit here and freeze while you give away all of Arendelle's tradable goods?"

"Princess Anna has given her orders..." Hans told him.

That's when the Duke cut him off, "And that's another thing! Has it dawned on you that your princess may be conspiring with a wicked sorceress to destroy us all?"

"And I thought my father was paranoid," Jason's voice spoke up through the storm getting both the Duke's and the Prince's attention. They watched as the remainder of Arendelle's soldiers were on the detective's side and Sora riding on the back of Ace. Jason glared at the Duke, "I'm going to tell you this one more time, both the Queen and Princess are innocent. It's your fault that we're in this mess, to begin with."

"My fault?!" The Duke gasped.

"And while it's no secret I have no love for Charming here," He continued as he gestured towards Hans, "Make sure innocents are warm and safe should be our first priority. The fact you're only thinking of yourself... makes one wonder... if you brought those bucket heads here!"

"Certainly not," The Duke denied, "Didn't you see they threatened me as well?!"

"I saw," Jason's eyes narrowed, "It's a good cover story. But I will find the truth... one way or another..."

While Hans glared at the Red Hood, he nodded as he turned to the Duke, "If you are involved with them, you will answer for it. And do not question the Princess. She left me in charge, and I will not hesitate to protect Arendelle from treason."

He looked flabbergasted, "Treason?!"

"As much as I would love to see where this goes," Jason declared, "We have a job to do."

Jason turned to leave the Kingdom with the soldiers, Hans wondered, "Where are you going?"

"Where else? I'm shutting down the Empire's base here," Jason declared, "With the Storm as our cover, it's a perfect cover for an ambush."

"Hold on, we need to talk it over with the other politicians," The Prince of the Southern Isles declared, "You can't just go..."

"In case I wasn't clear, I don't trust any of them," The Red Hood stated, "And I especially don't trust you or Weasel Town!"

"Weaslton!" The Duke snapped.

"Be that as it may, Princess Anna put me in charge..." Hans was still playing the act of the respectable Prince.

"And Queen Elsa hired my services to deal with the Imperial Threat," Jason crossed his arms, "And last I checked, she's still outranked Princess Anna and you. No offense to Anna... not so much you..."

"Do you not see that she's the cause of the Eternal Winter?!" The Duke exclaimed.

"She's not," Jason's eyes narrowed, "I'm looking at both causes right in front of me." Both the Duke and the Prince were taken aback by that, "But I'm too busy to deal with you, I've got a job to do."

Before he could, Anna's horse returned looking frightened. Hans tried to calm him down with the help of others, "Woh! Woh! Woh, boy. Easy. Easy."

Hans looks out to the mountain and then turns to face the crowd, "Princess Anna and the others are in trouble. I need volunteers to go with me to find them."

Some of the crowd stepped forward to volunteer as The Duke told them, "I volunteer two men, my Lord!" He then whispered to his two guards, "Be prepared for anything. And should you encounter the Queen, you are to put an end to this winter. Do you understand?"

Their eyes narrowed with determination before several shots could be heard, everyone turned to see Jason raise one of his new blasters in the air, "No one is going anywhere!"

Everyone began to protest, before Jason clarified, "Because many of you are freezing, scared, and probably will do anything to try to end this winter! If you run into the Queen and not the Princess, I have no guarantee that anyone you are not willing to harm her to end the Winter! That's why the moment, we destroy the base while the Kingdom's soldiers take the surviving prisoners, I will find Princess Anna myself!"

Whispers could be heard, as he pointed out, "Think about it, I have a better chance of finding Anna than any of you! I'll find her and find a way to end this winter without bringing harm to your Queen!" He smirked to Sora who brightened up, "Let's go."

He turned to leave with the soldiers, and Hans called out, "Wait, you're bringing the child with you?! The same child the Imperials are after?! Wouldn't he be safer here?!"

"Something tells me, without the Princess or the Queen, he's safer with me than anyone else here!" He replied through the storm, as a soldier brought him a horse, as he placed Sora on its back before climbing up on it himself, "Oh, and one last thing, should any of you disregard what I told you! If I find out that you're a threat to the Queen in any way... I'll be coming for you next and you saw what I did the ones who attacked Arendelle!"

The Duke's bodyguards flinched back as the Red Hood glared at them. He then lead the soldiers through the storm as the Captain asked, "Are you sure it was wise to let everyone know we're going to attack? Especially in front of your top two suspects, they could warn them that we're coming."

The former Robin's serious look turned into a smirk, "I'm counting on it."

Time passed and they marched through the snow, using the map Jason acquired, and with the soldiers' knowledge of the land around them, finding the Imperial Base wasn't a problem. Jason and the Captian scouted ahead to find it well protected as if expecting them. The Captian muttered, "They knew we were coming... and expecting a full-on assault... that means..."

"It's either the Duke or the Princess's fiancé," Jason smirked, "Good. I'll be having a little chat with them once the Princess and the Queen are safe."

"Hopefully, they won't have those suicide capsules in their teeth," The Captian muttered, he then glanced, "So, what's the real plan? Even if they weren't expecting us, we don't have the manpower to take that base."

"I'll go into the base alone without getting spotted," Jason told him as he placed his helmet on, "They're likely having an armory here with lots of explosives, I find where it is and turn the explosives they have against them. Once I'm out, I blow the base to bits with a remote detonator. The survivors will be lost and confused about what happened allowing you and your men to capture the remaining Stormtroopers in the confusion."

"That's a good plan," The captain admitted.

"While I'm inside, I see if I can narrow down who the spy is," The Red Hood stated, "I'm trusting you to watch after Sora in the meantime, if something goes wrong, get him as far away from here as you can."

"Understood," The Captain nodded before wondering, "Is your ninjutsu really as good as you say..." When he turned to face him, Jason was long gone, "...I'll take that as a yes..."

The Red Hood used his grapple gun to get above the Imperial Base without leaving a trace of evidence that he was there. He could hear a squad of Troopers talk among themselves, "It's freezing out here!"

"Where did all this snow come from?! I thought it was supposed to be summer here!"

"It is," A Commander calmly answered, "Apparently, the Queen has control over the ice and snow."

"You mean like a Jedi?!"

"No, from what I heard no Jedi has had any manipulation of the weather."

"Why did she even start a winter then?!"

"I heard her sister got engaged to a Prince she just met?"

"...seriously? Just like that?"

"Just like that."

"Damn. Remind me not to get on her bad side."

"We may have to," The Commander stated as Jason spotted a way inside, "I heard we're getting new orders after we repel the coming ambush."

Jason opened up a vent and climbed inside. Inside the vents of the Imperial base, he quietly crouched as he searched for where they kept the explosives. Using his detective vision in his hood, he spotted a doorway, heavily containing weapon supplies, Jason thought to himself, "That's where I need to go, but it's locked down. I need to find another way in."

He then spotted an Imperial Officer entering another section of the base using some kind of card, "Hmmm... He has codes. I'm betting though many secure locations if I can input those codes into the Cryptographic Sequencer, I should have accuse to almost any locked down locations."

Jason exited the vents as he quietly pursued the officer, sneaking through the doors he entered before they closed behind him. He saw the many Stormtroopers marching through the Imperial Base, "I can't let them see me before I get into the weapons lockup, if they even suspect I'm here before I'm ready, I put Sora and the soldiers at risk."

He quietly made his way through the base, quietly, avoiding the Stormtroopers patrolling the base. He hid behind a terminal as two Stormtroopers walked passed them, "Ugh! I'm so bored!"

"You won't be for long. Some of those Aredellian soldiers and a former Rebel Prisoner is leading them." The other Trooper commented.

"Ugh. It'll be over within the first few minutes," The first groaned, "We should have gone with some of the other Squads out there in the forest."

As Jason continued his path to where the commander was held up, "So they're not all here? ...that can't be good. Can't say I'm surprised either." He observed the tracker, "Anna hasn't activated it so she hasn't run into any trouble... yet at least. Better wrap this up soon and find out where those squads were sent. That officer might know that."

He saw the commander enter another secure room as he spotted another way in through the vents above. He used the grapple gun to pry the vent open before grappling up to it and climbing through. He could hear the commander talking to someone, "And you are sure the key is with them?"

"I saw him leave with Todd and the rest of the soldiers," A voice that sounded like it was being scrambled growled, "What so special about him, I don't know. But Thrawn wanted him so I'm keeping my side of the bargain, despite you people changing it at the very last second."

"Don't take that tone with me," The Officer declared, "It was you who came to us with nothing, and we made sure you were put in a position of power..."

"YOU ALSO SAID I WOULD BE THE ONE TO INTRODUCE THIS WORLD TO THE EMPIRE!" The voice snapped, as the Red Hood peeked through the vent to see the commander talking to someone through a muffled communication, "You then showed up when I mentioned your key was here and acted like a bunch of thugs, and need I forget that Todd killed most of those men while the rest are held captive." He also added, "You also failed to mention how this 'Empire' was crumbling apart..."

"A mild inconvenience due the 'New Republic's' involvement and the death of our Emperor," The officer stated, "But 'Operation Kingdom' will change all that, after all, why to settle for one Kingdom when you can rule the world when the time comes, Arendelle will see that it needs us, but for that day to come we need that 'key.' We'll keep our end of the bargain but don't question us again... remember, you can always be replaced."

After a brief moment of silence, the mysterious figure stated, "I expect to hear from you soon, and let me know when you find the Snow Queen or her sister."

The transmission ended, Jason thought to himself, "So... the informant doesn't know much about 'Operation Kingdom.' But the Officer might, possibly his identity as well... and are the Squads looking for Elsa and Anna?" Using his detective vision, he noticed one detail, "He doesn't have a suicide capsule... guessing he doesn't want to die... time for a little chat."

Exiting the vent, Jason snuck behind the Imperial before grabbing from behind and throwing him to the ground. Red Hood placed his boot on Officer's chest, "You're informant... who is he?!"

"Screw you!" The officer snapped, "You'll never get out of here alive!"

Jason placed a blaster on his head, "Wrong answer."

"O-Okay! Okay! I'll talk!" The officer raised his hands in surrender, "Look, I-I-I don't know! The Grand Amerial's orders! He makes the bargain, they contact us, and they have a special clearance code to clarify to certain men! I only know certain details of the agreement!"

"Is it one of the squads you sent out?" Jason inquired.

"Y-yes," The officer answered as nervous sweat slid down his forehead, "I sent them to back him up!'

"Thrawn's orders," Jason's eyes narrowed, "What about the ones you sent out into the forest? Where did you send them?"

"I had some to search for the Princess and ordered for termination per our agreement with the informant," The Officer confessed, "But the rest are searching for the Queen! Alive!"

"Why?!" Jason leaned down towards him.

"I-I-I don't know," The Imperial exclaimed, "I swear! Maybe he's interested in her sorcery?! Maybe he wants to bring back summer?! He didn't tell me! All he wanted was a position in power! He only needed support! That's all I know! Will you let me go?!"

"I saw you had clearance codes," Jason growled, "Give them to me! Now! I'm asking nicely!"

"O-of course by all means," He handed to him the Imperial Codes, "B-but it restored under me only. It's useless without me!"

"Appreciate it!" Jason smirked as he used the butt of his pistol to knock him out. Pulling out the Cryptographic Sequencer, and added the Imperial Codes to it. Jason smirked under his helmet, "Gotta hand to Lucius, added to some of the alien technology to it over the countless invasions over the years... the guy's a God set. I wonder how he's doing these days."

Tossing the Imperial Codes aside but holding onto the Cryptographic Sequencer, he headed toward the way the Imperial Officer entered the room. He found where the codes were supposed to go, and used the gadget on it. Despite being an alien language, the gadget did its job as Jason adjust the device to find the code. When he found the correct code, the device read, "Password Accepted."

With that, the doors slide open for Jason as he smirked, "Perfect. Now for the armory."

Jason then, quietly made his way to the armory, avoiding contact with Stormtroopers along the way. There were a few unavoidable moments when he had to kill them quietly to prevent them from raising the alarm. He knew he had to move quickly though, they were eventually going to realize something was wrong if someone tried to get their attention. He eventually reached the armory where he used the same gadget to hack the door. Once he found the correct password, the door to the armory slid open, and Jason went inside.

Using his detective vision, he identified all the possible explosives in the room, "Alright, let's see how to make this work."

While he used his own skills to find the correct amount of explosives he needed to destroy this base. He piled up everything he needed in the center of the room, only taking a few of the explosives for himself to study later. He also placed some of his own bombs on the alien explosives as he did have the detonator for those. Once his work was done, he nodded with satisfaction as he stated, "That should do it, better get out of here."

Meanwhile, Sora had discovered how snow angels were made. Giggling as he opened and closed his arms as he lay in the snow. Ace sat beside him while the soldiers waited for Jason's return. One of them asked, "You think he's almost done in there."

"Give him some time," Another stated, "This technology is advanced. Probably needs a few minutes to figure it out."

The Captain shushed his men as he watched out for patrol men, to make sure they weren't discovered before they were ready, "Any minute now, Mr. Todd..."

"I'm done," Jason's voice spoke up.

The captain gasped as Jason appeared at his side. Sighing in relief, he told him, "A little warning next time."

"I did," Jason smirked under his hood, "So, your men ready?"

The Captian calmed himself before nodding, he alerted his men, before telling him, "On your signal..."

Jason then pulled out the detonator to the explosives and armed the bombs...

When the Imperial Officer came to, the first thing he did was alert the Stormtroopers nearby, they found a few dead bodies before one of the surviving Stormtroopers stated, "Sir, the armory's doors had been unlocked and..." He then nervously stated, "...and... we might be screwed..."

"Might be?" The officer raised an eyebrow, "We have them completely outnumbered, it shouldn't matter what he took, it won't be enough to stop the might of the Empire."

"Oh, it's not what he took it's... well... you better see for yourself..." The Stormtrooper gestured to the armory.

The officer walked into the armory... and spotted all the explosives... all piled up... and some of them were armed. His eyes widened in horror, knowing they would never escape the blast, all he could say was, "Son of a b-"

That's when the Red Hood detonated the explosives. In an instant, the once-alien enemy base was consumed in a massive explosion. Stormtroopers that were outside the base were sent flying away. Jason quipped, "Gotta love those fireworks."

The Captian nodded in agreement, as the surviving Stormtroopers stumbled for their fallen blasters, confused at what had happened. Jason gestured to the enemy, "They're all yours, Captain!"

"Take them!" He shouted. The soldiers of Arrendelle charged at the enemy aiming their newly acquired blasters at them. When they realized they were beaten, the surviving Stormtroopers raised their hands up in surrender...

Soon enough, the new prisoners were cuffed and were being returned to Arendelle for trial. The Captain smirked, "So, it's over..."

"Not quite," The Red Hood revealed, "I had a little chat with the guy in charge. Before I destroyed the base, he had already had patrols set out to find Princess Anna and Queen Elsa. On the spy's orders."

"That doesn't sound good," The Captain admitted, "I don't exactly have the manpower to commence a rescue party and take our new prisoners back to Arendelle."

"It alright," Jason reassured him, "I'll find them."

"How?" The Captain wondered.

Jason then whistled for Ace as both the Bat-Hound and Sora approached the vigilante. From his belt, he pulled out Elsa's glove and had the dog sniff it. The Captain then understood, "Ah, Ace is Hound."

"If he can find Elsa," Jason stated as he petted the dog, "Chances are, I'll find your Princess along the way."

One of the soliders returned with Jason's horse as Ace identified the scent. After helping Sora on the horse's back, he hopped on behind him. The Captain wondered, "You sure you can handle the patrol men alone?"

"Without a doubt," Jason nodded, "I'll meet you back in Arendelle." He then called out to Ace, "Find here!"

Ace barked as he started sniffing out for the Queen. Jason and Sora followed shortly behind him...

Ace sniffed for the Snow Queen for fifteen minutes before catching her scent. When he picked up the pace, Jason commanded his horse to do the same, "Hold on, Sora!"

The boy did as instructed as they raced after Ace through the snow, going higher and higher into the mountains. Hours passed by and things started to look familiar. Jason's eyes widened in realization, "This place... This is where the vision took place... and if it's anything accurate..."

...and sure enough, he saw the ice castle, the one Elsa made within the vision. Bad news, the Empire had also found it and were attempting to take it. Good news, the was a giant snow monster protecting it. Jason stared in disbelief, "Okay, I definitely didn't see that coming."

Leaping off the horse, he instructed the two, "Stay with the Horse. Ace. If they notice Sora, defend him."

Ace stood in attention as Jason charged into the Ice Castle. He pulled out his grapple gun and fired it high into the castle and it zipped him towards it...

Elsa was having a very, very bad day. It didn't start that way though. At first, she was finally free, she no longer had to hide herself, she was in a place where she could finally let it go without fear of harming anyone. Then Anna shows up with a living breathing living snowman they made as a children. She told Anna she could open the gates, and she'd finally be happy...

...at least until Anna revealed that she had unintentionally started an eternal winter... everywhere... Her sister told her she could unfreeze it despite telling her that she didn't know how. Which caused her to bust out a wave of snow which struck her sister... again...

After pushing her away, she tried to put her power back into herself without success. Everyone was suffering because of her. And now the Empire was after her, she created walls of ice to stop the blaster fire. She didn't get it, what did they even want with her. Did they want to turn her into a weapon like they want to do with Sora? Or just kill her for being an an inconvenience?

It didn't seem to matter as she was currently fighting for her life from the Stormtroopers that managed to get past the bodyguard she created.

She tried pushing them back with walls of ice, pinning them with icicles, but they just kept on coming. Three had a clear shot at the Queen of Arendelle, when all of a sudden, a boot kicked one to the ground, while used his arm to grab another, and used the same arm to shoot the third. Elsa turned to the newcomer as he snapped the second's neck, killing him.

Drawing out another blaster from his holster, the man in the red helmet called out to her, "You're Majesty! Get down!"

Doing as instructed, the new coming began to open fire at the Stormtroopers surrounding her. He then turned his attention to the incoming reinforcements. He charged in blasting them where they came, leaving Elsa shocked. Who was this guy? Why was he helping her... and why did he sound so familiar?

Meanwhile, outside, the snow monster roared as he threw an AT-ST off the cliff. Sora watched as the battle raged on but it startled the horse. The boy hopped off just in time as the horse ran away. As Sora stood back up, he could see the red flashes of light coming from inside the ice castle. He gasped slightly as he ran towards the castle to see if Jason and Elsa were okay.

Ace quickly followed in pursuit as he knew the boy would be in danger. Sora walked higher to the mountain as the snow monster swatted a group of Stormtroopers to the side. One of them recovered to see Sora, "The Key!"

He quickly set his blaster to stun and aimed it at the boy, "I bet I'll get a promotion when I bring you-" Before he could finish, the snow creature threw another Stormtrooper at him knocking them both off the cliff, "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! (Cue Wilhelm Scream)"

After turning knocking away another Stormtrooper off the cliff, it turned its sights on Sora. Letting out a massive roar knocking the boy down. Ace stood between the boy and the snow creature, growling and barking at it.

The creature looked ready for a fight with the Bat Hound when a fearful Sora's eyes glowed instantly blinding the snow monster...

Somewhere in another time, an older Sora walked through the snow with the anamorphic duck and dog as they marched through the snow. Then he noticed an unfamiliar man carrying the Snow Queen on his back. Unfamiliar to the older Sora but not to the present one. The four-year-old definitely saw him before back in Arendelle. He heard his future self speak, "Hey... that's Elsa. But who's that guy?"

"It could be somebody from Arendelle," The anamorphic dog suggested, "...who came up here to help her."

"Don't think so," The teenage Sora shook his head, "That doesn't look like help to me."

The boy had to agree with his future counterpart, he didn't look like he wanted to help Elsa to him either. He then noticed that something was coming off the man, "What's... that?"

The duck seemed to notice that too, "Huh? Oh no!"

"Darkness?!" The goofy-looking dog wondered.

The older teen nodded as his eyes narrowed with determination, "Let's move!"

The trio quickly perused him but they were cut off by strange white squiggly monsters, unfamiliar to the boy, however, his future self knew them well. With a flash of light, the same key-like sword appeared in his hand. The same one he used to help him and Uncle Jason escape the Islands.

He saw the way he found and moved with his powers and the skill of his weapon. Cutting monsters left and right like they were nothing. He never thought he could pull off those kinds of moves.

Not only that, the duck and dog following him could hold their own as well. The former wielded a powerful-looking blue staff that cast waves of magic to destroy the monsters. While the latter wielded a mighty shield with a mouse symbol in the center to repel the monsters. If he too could do this one day, he couldn't wait until he was older. Maybe he'd finally beat Riku in sword fighting one day.

After the monsters were destroyed, the trio realized they were losing Elsa and her capturer. They tried to pick up the pace when they heard something coming. Turning to a path that looked like it was blocked fallen trees covered in snow, were suddenly torn apart to reveal a giant snow monster. The same monster that currently blocked the way to the ice castle. The trios' eyes widened in shock, as his future self narrowed his eyes, "Him again?!"

The three quickly ran in to intercept him and summoned their weapons to their side. The older Sora's eyes narrowed, "Hey! You'd better not have hurt our friends!"

However, instead of fighting them, the monster paid them no mind and walked past them, much to their shock. The snow creature called out to his maker, "Elsaaaa!"

As the dumbfounded trio put away their weapons, Sora finally managed to make out words, "Hey, wait up!" They quickly ran after him before catching up to him, the teenage islander asked, "Are you... looking for Elsa, too?"

Finally, paying them attention, the snow creature turned to the trio and prepared for a fight. Sora's future counterpart raised his hands in an attempt to calm him down, "Whoa! Eeeasy! Do you wanna save her from the bad guy? We're on the same side."

Not long after Sora told the creature this, he began to sulk, "Elsa..."

That's when the anamorphic dog realized, "I guess all he ever wanted to do was keep Elsa safe."

Sora stroked his chin for a moment before his eyes lit up, "Hey. We should team up, big guy."

"Team up?!" The duck quacked.

"C'mon. We wanna help her, too. Why not?" Sora's future counterpart pointed out to his companion, he then turned to the giant snow creature with a friendly smile, "So whaddaya say?"

After thinking for a moment, the snow creature nodded in agreement as Sora walked to his side much to the duck's dumbfounded, "Sora!"

The tallest of the group turned to the duck, "One great thing about Sora: he can always make friends with anybody."

"Yipee..." The duck replied sarcastically.

Sora and the giant snow creature turned back to the two as the former told them, "Donald! Goofy! C'mon!"

The two realized they were falling behind, and they quickly tried to catch up as they both exclaimed, "Wait for us!"

Back in the present the small islander, Bat Hound, and snow creature shook their heads as the visions came to an end. Sora was the first to come to, looking at the snow creature, but with a less frightened look. The snow creature looked back to Sora, no longer angry, but confused. The boy stood up as Ace glanced between the two trying to figure out what their play was here. The boy reached out for the snow creature, "Easy. We both want the same thing, right? We're on the same side..."

The snow creature knelt to Sora and offered his hand, "So...ra...?"

Just then, more Stormtroopers charged in as they spotted the latter, one of them pointed out, "The Key is here! Forget the Queen! Get the priority target! And set your blasters to stun! Grand Admiral Thrawn will kill us if anything happens to him!"

Two more AT-ST walkers appeared from the ends of the forest, and Ace growled at them. Marshmallow picked up the boy and placed them safely on his head, Sora commanded, "Let's beat them then safe Elsa and Uncle Jason!"

The snow creature roared in agreement as both he and Ace charged at the incoming Imperials...

Four Stormtroopers engaged Jason in close-quarters combat and surrounded him on all sides after he disarmed them. However, Jason managed to block and counter each strike critically injuring them one by one until one remained where he simply shot him in the chest three times before throwing him aside. Jason turned to more Stormtroopers that entered the room before blasting each of them. One Trooper managed to get cover near the corner of the entrance to the room. Jason holstered one of his blasters before pulling out his grapple gun and shooting a line. The line caught the Stormtrooper on his shoulder armor and pulled him closer to the vigilante. Close enough for Jason to punch him hard enough to break through his helmet and take him out of the fight.

One Stormtrooper managed to grab the Red Hood from behind but Jason lifted him up and ran backwards pinning him to the wall. Refusing to let go, Jason pulled out one of his old batarangs. He made quick calculations in his head before throwing the batarang high toward the ceiling which bounced off it and came right at the Stormtrooper's head. The batarang caused the Trooper to be dazed and released him before Jason finished him with a kick to the stomach.

He turned to Elsa, unsure what to make of him, as one of the still-conscious Troopers managed to get a hold of his blaster and aimed it at the Queen. He warned her, "Elsa! Look out!"

The warning came late as the Trooper already pulled the trigger which struck Elsa's shoulder, "GAH!"

Red Hood shot the Trooper that shot Elsa, before quickly running to her side. Elsa tried to wobble away from him, "No... stay... back..."

Jason quickly holstered the blaster and removed his helmet, before raising his arms in surrender, "Easy, easy, it's just me."

"J-Jason?" Elsa blinked in shock before clutching her shoulder in pain.

"Let me see it," Jason instructed removing her hand from her wound, "It doesn't look bad. Missed everything vital." He then reached for bandages in his jacket, "I'm going to bandage it, then I'm getting you to a hospital."

"No, no, hospitals," Elsa shook her head as she tried to stop him, "It's too dangerous. I'm dangerous."

"Well, since Alfred isn't here, and I'm no doctor," Jason tried to help the Queen as he wrapped the badge around her shoulder, "I need to get you somewhere that can treat your wound."

All of sudden, the snow creature entered the room, roaring in anger, and tried to knock Jason away from Elsa. When a small voice called out, "Wait, Marshmallow! Uncle Jason is a friend of mine!"

Both adults blinked in disbelief as they exclaimed, "Sora?!"

The child peaked down from the snow creature's head, as the latter stayed his hand. Elsa turned to the vigilante in disbelief, "You brought your nephew in the middle of battle?!"

"I told him to stay with the horse!" Jason raised his hands in defense before scolding Sora, "I told you to stay with the horse!"

"The horse ran away!" Sora defended himself as Ace joined them carrying a blaster in his teeth.

"You all need to stay away from-" Elsa raised her hand before wincing in pain, "Argh!"

Sora gasped in horror as he climbed down from the back of the snow creature, now dubbed Marshmallow, and ran up to the two adults, "What happened to her?!"

"She's hurt," Jason told the boy, "I was just about to help her."

"No, you need to get away," Elsa warned him.

Fear of losing Elsa the same way he lost his parents, overwhelmed the boy. He felt completely helpless when the Empire took his parents from him, but he had powers now... maybe... he could save her. He lifted his two small hands as Jason wondered, "Sora? What are you doing?"

"HEAL!" He shouted as green magic shot out from his hands and surrounded Elsa's wound. Suddenly, Elsa felt the pain leave her, and much to Jason's disbelief her wounds began to heal in an instant. After the wound was completely healed, the boy passed out.

Jason caught the boy before he hit the ground. Elsa blinked before removing the bandages that the detective attempted to put on her and saw her wound had vanished. "Wha...?" Blinking in shock, she then turned to the boy in concern, "Is he...?"

"He's breathing," The Red Hood confirmed as he held the sleeping boy, "Using his powers intentionally for the first time must taken a lot out of him."

Elsa sighed in relief before standing up, "Look. Jason. I appreciate that you came to save me. But I'm a danger to Arrendelle. I'm a danger to you. I'm a danger to everyone. It's safer if I stay here... alone..." She turned to Marshmallow, "Get them out of here." The snow creature shook his head, shocking the Snow Queen, "No? What do you mean no?!"

"Sora friend. Sora can help..." Marshmallow gestured to the boy, "...like before."

"Before?" Elsa blinked in confusion. That didn't make any sense to her. They only met today.

However, Jason realized what happened, "Sora's eyes began to glow, didn't they? Showed you visions... of you meeting an older version of him."

The snow creature nodded as Elsa stated, "Glowing eyes? Visions? What are you talking about?"

"Right," Jason rubbed his eyes, "Something happened... hours after you... left." He sighed, "Look. I have questions too. I still It won't be long that Sora does this to a citizen and... they might not be as understanding." He then gestured to the blizzard outdoors, "And we also need a find a way to bring back summer without people thinking killing you is their only option. Is there a way we can just talk... so we both can figure out what's happening?"

Elsa crossed her arms, thinking for a moment before sighing, "Alright... There might be... one thing we can try..."

After Jason took away the armor and weapons from the breathing Stormtroopers and locked them in a cage Elsa created, he sat at the one end of the room with a sleeping Sora on his lap as Ace sat beside them. All while Elsa sat on the other side of the room as Marshmallow sat in the corner between them. After a moment of silence, Elsa finally spoke, "How did you find me?"

Jason pulled out her glove and tossed it over to her, "Ace has always been a good tracker, followed your scent up here."

Catching the glove, she realized it was the one Anna had taken from here at the end of the party a few days ago. She sighed, "I was kinda hoping you said that Anna sent you..."

"So, Anna was here," The Red Hood realized.

"Yes," She confirmed as much.

"Do you know where she is now?" Jason wondered.

Elsa's silence answered the question for him, so he decided to change the question, "I take she told you the bad news."

"I started an Eternal Winter... everywhere..." Elsa nodded sadly before looking up, "And before you ask, I don't know how to unfreeze. I've been trying to put it back into myself but..." She shook her head, "Why are you here? The Imperial Base..."

"...is up in smoke," Jason cut her off, "I destroyed the base and your soldiers are currently taking the prisoners back to Arrendelle to stand trail." He revealed, "I had a little chat with the guy in charge, who told me he sent the remaining Stormtroopers all over to find you, Anna, and to aid the spy."

Elsa raised an eyebrow curiously, "Were you able to figure out who the spy is?"

"I have a few suspects I can't cross off yet," Jason admitted, "But the Duke and Hans are still on the top of said list. Before I had a friendly chat with the guy in charge of their base, I overheard him talking with the spy."

Elsa gasped, "He was there?!"

"Not psychically, otherwise I'd already figured it out," Jason admitted as he scratched Ace's ears, "They had communications devices that muffled his face and disguised voice."

"Their technology is that advanced?" Elsa gasped in disbelief, "That's... a little scary..."

"Unfortunately for them," Jason pulled out another device, "It's not the first time I heard someone disguise their voice, and I have the means to expose it. I recorded a sample of the spy's voice. I recorded the whole conversation into my helmet. Once you and Anna are safe, I will use this device to reveal his voice, and from there..."

"Figure out who sent those men that attacked Arrendelle," Elsa finished smiling slightly. However, she did wonder how Jason managed to acquire such technology when nobody had seen anything like it, "How do you have such technology?"

"Some of these I recently acquired from our mutual friends, others personally designed from adapting some parts over previous cases," Jason admitted, impressing the Queen slightly, "Most, however, came from my sergeant's father's company."

This earned some confusion from the Queen, "I thought you said he was a knight?"

"He is," Jason admitted, "But he's also CEO of his family's company, hoping it as another means to clean up the streets of Gotham, and to make lives better for the citizens."

The Queen couldn't help but wonder, "How did you end up in this life? When Anna was here, she said you had a pretty hard childhood."

"Well, she's not wrong," The Red Hood thought back, "My birth father was a small-time criminal who was murdered when his boss was in a bad mood, and my mother succumbed to a mental illness. So, I was on my own when I learned how to talk and I did whatever I could to survive, even if it wasn't right in the eyes of the law."

"What changed," Elsa couldn't help but wonder.

"Well, one day, I found a job that would put food in my belly for at least I year," Jason smiled back to where he first met Batman, "I found the knight's... wagon out in the open so I thought I tried to steal the wheels from it."

"Oh my..." The Snow Queen gasped, "Did... did you not know?"

"Oh, no, I fully knew it was his," Jason chuckled, "That's why I targeted it, what I didn't know was that he wasn't too far away from it. I was just finishing up by the time I realized he was there. At first, I thought I was in trouble. I was shocked to find out that he wasn't even angry, in fact, I think he was impressed if anything because the next thing I knew, he took me under his wing. He gave me a home, food, a warm bed, a new family... everything. He even taught me right from wrong. Showed me I could actually make a difference for the city we both love," Jason looked up to the Queen, "And I will always be grateful for taking me on. "

Elsa seemed to smile at that, realizing, "That's when he took you on to be his squire."

"That's right," Jason nodded, "When his last squire, Dick, knighted and moved on to protect another city, he started to train me in everything he knew. We took down some major crime lords together, including the man who killed my father..." Jason's smile lessened, "It's too bad our prisons suck because they keep on escaping."

"How often do prisoners escape prison in Gotham," Elsa hesitantly asked.

"Trust me," Jason raised his hand, "You don't want to know." This made Elsa wince, "Bruce tried to upgrade them over the years but they end up finding new ways to escape." His smirk returned, "Unfortunately for them, we don't give up so easily as well."

"Well, I can assure you Arendelle's prisons, prisoners don't escape so easily." The Snow Queen reassured him, "Those Imperials aren't going anywhere until their sentences have been carried out."

"Hope you're right." Jason stated, especially with Hand currently in charge.

"How's Arendelle doing," Elsa wondered, "Since I left?"

Jason sighed, as he admitted, "I'm not going to sugarcoat it, it's not good..."

He explained what's been happening the past few days, he started with the good news that there had been no attacks since she left, and no one had been killed due to the storm. However, he did admit that the storm was getting worse, and people were starting to get scared and desperate. He also informed her that Anna had not returned since she left. Has was going to rally up a rescue party to find her, but since he didn't trust him considering what they knew about his true motives and the fact that some like the Duke was willing to do anything to end the winter, Jason prevented them from doing so. For the moment at least, he warned her that there was a chance Hans would try again sooner than later despite his own vows to find her sister once he dealt with the Imperial Base.

Elsa looked down with guilt on her face, Jason reassured her, "This is not your fault. We'll find a way to bring back summer that let's you actually live your life."

"Unless you find a way to bring one your meta friends to help fix this," She replied sadly, "I don't know how that'll be possible... maybe it's better if..."

"No," Jason spoke up, getting her attention, "We don't have any evidence that killing you would put an end to the winter. For all we know, if you die, the storm could only continue to rage on starting a new ice age." Elsa's eyes widened, she never even considered that. Jason reassured her, "We'll find a way..."

As the two thought of ideas of how to bring an end to the Enteral Winter, she glanced to the sleeping boy. She wondered, "You said something happened involving his powers back in Arendelle. Something he did again with..." She turned to her snow creature, "Ummm... are you alright with the name Marshmallow?"

Marshmallow nodded to the Snow Queen, as she turned back to Jason. He nodded, "Yeah, this happened not long after your sister left to find you..."

He then explained the events that let to Sora's powers activating, and the visions that followed. The ones that lead Elsa to creating her ice castle and dress. The Let It Go song. And the fact these events were witnessed by a teenager that looked awfully like Sora, along with an anamorphic duck and dog. When he finished, blinked in shocked, "Well, everything you describe, it did happen... but I don't recall seeing anyone remotely looking like Sora up here. And I definitely would have remembered seeing a duck and dog walking and talking like humans up here." She couldn't help but wonder, "Does Sora by any chance have any older siblings?"

Jason stated, "From what I saw, you didn't look like you realized that they were even there so it's possible that it could've happened..." Elsa nodded but then Jason pointed out, "If it wasn't for the fact that Sora's look-alike knew by name from the sound of your voice, Sora's an only child, and apparently he shares the same name as Sora as pointed out by our jolly white friend over here."

Marshmallow raised an eyebrow at that while only confusing Elsa even more, "Then what does it all mean? There's no way it could have been Sora... could it?"

Before Jason could answer, Sora began to stir awake. The boy began to sit up as Jason asked, "You alright, kid?"

The boy yawned but nodded. He then blinked quickly as he recalled what happened before he passed out, "Miss Elsa! Is she...?!"

"I'm fine," The Snow Queen reassured the boy giving him a small smile, "I'm fine. Thanks to you. Thank you, Sora."

With that, the islander boy sighed in relief, before he looked around, "What about Anna?"

Elsa frowned at that, Jason sighed, "Elsa, I want to help you and your sister. But I can't help either of you if I don't understand what happened."

The Queen seemed hesitant but ultimately knew he was right, so she admitted, "Honestly, I was expecting you or Anna to show up, try to convince me to return to Arendelle. So, I wasn't surprised when Anna showed up when the sun was still shining..."

The Princess of Arendelle couldn't help but admire all the details to the ice castle, nearly slipping a few times, but managed to catch herself. She then remembered the whole reason why she was here. She called out to her sister, "Elsa? It's me...Anna?!"

"Anna?"

The Princess looked up the stair case to see her sister, now in her ice dress, and with a new positive energy around her. Anna couldn't help but stare in awe as she complemented, "Elsa, you look different... It's a good different... And this place is amazing."

Elsa smiled, "Thank you, I never knew what I was capable of."

Anna started to climb the stairs, "...I'm so sorry about what happened. If I'd known..."

Elsa fearfully backed away while trying to reassure her, "No, it's okay. You don't have to apologize... But you should probably go, please."

"But I just got here," Anna pointed out, "And there could be those Stormtroopers all over this mountain."

"I know," Elsa reassured her, "But I can handle myself and Jason can take care of the base."

"If your not going to come down with me," Anna added, "Jason's going to come and make sure your okay. I had to stop him before he marched up the mountains himself to find you."

Elsa blinked in shock, "You did?"

Anna nodded, "Mmmmhmmm!"

"He was that determined?" The Snow Queen asked with a slight blush.

"Uh-huh!" Anna smirked...

"You were that flattered that I was going to come to you in your sister's place?" Jason cut the Queen.

"Uh... a little..." She blushed again, mentally wondering why she brought that up. That detail didn't matter. Quickly clearing her throat, "Anyways, I told my sister..."

"Anna... It doesn't matter, once his job is done here, his duty is to Gotham," Elsa shook up the blush, before telling her, "AndYou belong in Arendelle."

Anna pointed out as she tried to get closer, "So do you."

"No, I belong here. Alone. Where I can be who I am without hurting anybody." Elsa told them as she backed away.

Anna then gave her sister an awkward look as she tired to explain what happened since she left, "...Actually, about that..."

"...58...59...60!" A new voice voice exclaimed.

Elsa wondered, "Wait. What is that?"

Before Anna could answer, a living breathing snowman came in running in the front door. He waved to her, "Hi, I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs."

Elsa looked completely shocked, "Olaf?"

"Olaf?" Sora blinked in confusion.

"He's a snowman that Anna and I made when we were around your age," Elsa smiled to the boy as she explained both him and Jason, "I was surprised that he was alive."

"I'm surprised you can actually bring your snow creations to life," Jason admitted, "You're definitely the most unique cryomancer I have ever met."

Elsa wasn't sure what the term cryomancer meant. Maybe it was a certain type of, what did Jason call them, meta humans? Maybe that was the term of those with ice powers? She simply shrugged, "Thanks...?"

Olaf stopped beside Anna. He looked up at Elsa smiling, "You built me. You remember that?"

Elsa was amazed, "And you're alive?"

"Um...I think so?" Olaf shrugged.

Anna knelt down beside Olaf, "He's just like the one we built as kids..." Elsa smiled at that as Anna continued, "We were so close. We can be like that again."

Elsa considered it for a brief moment, but the memory of the accident flashed in her head. The day she almost killed her. She couldn't risk that happening again.

"No, we can't." Elsa turned to head up the second floor steps, as she sang sadly, "Standing~ frozen~ in this life I've chosen~ Please don't~ find me~ The past is on behind me~ Leave me in the snow~ Let me go~"

"Wow. You're people are really into your singing," Jason muttered to himself before stating, "You're really willing to live out the rest of your days here? What are you evening going to do for food?"

"Well..." Elsa brushed her hair slightly.

Jason continued, "Have you even gone camping before?"

"Well, no, but..." Elsa admitted.

"Not to even mention about a bathroom," Jason added.

"There is a bathroom!" The Snow Queen exclaimed. She then gestured to the location, "It's just over there. Right next to the Master Bedroom."

Jason, Sora, and Ace turned to said bathroom to Elsa's right, as the eldest among them asked, "And it has indoor plumbing?"

"Honestly, with everything else I've created," The Queen of Arendelle replied, "I'm not even shocked that I made that up as well."

Sora lifted up his tiny hand, as Elsa knew what he was going to ask, "Yes, Sora, you may use the bathroom."

The little boy stood up from Jason's lap, and ran towards the bathroom, as he called out, "Make sure you wash your hands when you're finished!"

"I will!" He called back as he slammed the door shut.

Jason turned back to the Queen, "Sorry, how exactly did Anna react to your lyrics... er... I mean response."

Elsa frowned as she continued her story...

"I don't wanna let you go." Anna called out as she tired to go after her sister.

"I'm just trying to protect you." Elsa told her.

Anna then called out as she chased after her, "You don't have to protect me. I'm not afraid!" She then sang, "Please don't shut me out again~ Please don't slam the door~ You don't have to keep your distance anymore~"

"'Cause for the first time in forever~ I finally understand~ For the first time in forever~ We can fix this hand in hand~ We can head down this mountain together~ You don't have to live in fear~ 'Cause for the first time in forever~ I will be right here~" Anna sang as they entered Elsa's up to her living quarters.

Elsa turns to her and starts singing, "Anna, please go back home~ Your life awaits~ Go enjoy the sun and open up the gates~"

"Yeah, but..." Anna tired to explain.

Elsa cut her off as she nodded, "I know! You mean well~ but leave me be~" Elsa turns and walks out onto the balcony with Anna following her, "Yes, I'm alone~ but I'm alone and free~ Just stay away and you'll be safe from me~"

Elsa walks back inside as Anna then decided just to go for it, "Actually, we're not~"

Elsa wondered with concern, "What do you mean you're not~?"

"I get the feeling you don't know~" Anna sang.

Elsa asked, "What do I not know~?"

"Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow~" Anna sang as Elsa was shocked and they stop singing.

The Queen asked, "What?"

"You kinda set off an enteral winter... everywhere..." She told her sister.

Elsa's eyes widened in horror, "Everywhere?!"

Anna quickly added, "But, it's okay. You can just unfreeze it."

"No, I can't. I...I don't know how!" Elsa shook her head as it suddenly it starts to snow in the palace.

Anna smiled with confidence, "Sure you can. I know you can! I'll help you!" She then proceeded to sing, "'Cause for the first time in forever~"

"Oh, I'm such a fool~ I can't be free~" Elsa turned away as she sang.

Anna continued as snow fell from inside the building, "You don't have to be afraid~"

"No escape from the storm inside of me~" Elsa sang with every lyric the storm inside grew stronger.

Anna tried to reassure her, "We can work this out together~"

Elsa sang, "I can't control the curse~"

Anna was having hard time moving as the icy winds picked up as she sang, "We'll reverse the storm you've made~"

"Oh, Anna, please~You'll only make it worse~" Elsa begged.

Anna replied, "Don't panic~"

"There's so much fear~" Elsa panicked.

Anna sang, "We'll make the sun shine bright~"

"You're not safe here~" Elsa warned her.

Anna tried to encourage her sister, "We can face this thing together~ We can change this winter weather~ And everything will be alright~"

"OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH~AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH~" Elsa sang, "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII CAN'T!"

Elsa tried to suck the blizzard back into herself but as she burst out so did the blizzard sending waves of ice everywhere... and one struck Anna in the chest.

The Princess of Arendelle gasp in pain before falling to her knees. The Queen turned back as her eyes widened in horror, thinking to herself, "Oh, no, no, no, no! Not again!"

"Not long after, a man that escorted her here came to her aid. Afterwards, I created Marshmallow and had them go away... for their own safety." Elsa finished.

Jason rubbed the back of his head, "Well... shit..." Elsa gave him a disapproval look before apologizing, "Sorry. I start a swear jar later. But... Aw man..."

"You see," Elsa proceeded to hug herself, "Anna's dying... and everyone's suffering because of me..."

Jason couldn't help but admit that he couldn't bring Elsa back, not in the current state of things. If everyone learned the truth about Elsa, Hans would have all the "justification" he needed to execute her and take over. And that was just the best case scenario. There was still no guarantee if Elsa's life ends, if the storm would end as well.

He then recalled what Elsa told him back in Arendelle, "You once told me this happened before. How were your parents able to save her last time?"

"They had friends. Experts in the matter," Elsa admitted, "They helped her last time."

Jason then pulled out the map, he acquired from the Imperials before. Activating the map, he asked her, "Do you remember where they lived?"

"It's been ages, I don't-" Elsa protested before her eyes widened at a certain spot in the map, "Wait!" She pointed to an open valley, "There! That's where they live!"

Deactivating the map, Jason nodded, "Good. Once Sora's out of the bathroom, we're going to find your sister, and your going to take us there."

"What?" Elsa stared at Jason in disbelief, "No, it's not safe, it's-"

"Do you wanna save Anna?" The Red Hood asked her.

"Of course, I do," Elsa nodded before trying to protest, "But..."

"Great!" Jason stood up on his feet and picked up his helmet, "We're leaving then!" Before she could argue anymore, Jason called out, "You hear that Sora! Elsa going to take us to Anna and we're going to meet some new friends! Finish up in there!"

"I didn't say I was going-" She whispered quietly with a glare. Jason's eyes widened as he shushed her. Elsa was taken back by this, "Don't you shush-!"

He shushed her again before calling out, "Sora?"

Now realizing why he shushed her, Sora never replied. She turned to the bathroom, "Sora? Are you okay in there?"

Still no response, deeply concerned both adults, acting on instinct, they rushed to the bathroom. Jason knocked on the ice door, "Sora? Say something buddy!"

"Sora!" Elsa called out, "Please respond!"

Jason leaned to the door to try to make sure he could hear anything. He could hear the faint sounds of water pouring. He turned to the Queen, "Sinks running but I don't hear him."

Elsa gasped in concern. Not taking any chances, Jason kicked the icy door down, as the Queen stared in awe. Light shined in the room, as Jason dropped his helmet and ran inside, "Sora! Sora! What's-"

When Jason stopped, it deeply concerned the Snow Queen, "Jason? JASON!" She rushed into the bathroom, "What's wrong with Sor-?!"

Before she could finish her sentence, she found Sora on the ground, with his hands covered with water and snowy soap, but her eyes were glowing and Jason looked like he was a trance. Sora's eyes began to glow even brighter which would have blinded most people. But not Elsa, her eyes gazed upon the light as everything and everyone around her vanished...

...when the light died down, she found herself halfway up the mountain. She knew this path, she ran this way after everyone found out about her powers. She headed this way towards the mountains, and much to her shock, she some someone she least expected. A woman her age, wearing her coronation dress, her one glove, and... and her crown.

"Wait... is that... me?" She wondered.

"Hey! Hold up!" A new voice spoke up.

Both past and present versions of Elsa turned to see three incoming individuals. The present version's eyes widened in disbelief as she saw the same three individuals from the visions Jason witnessed. However, the past version backed away slightly as she asked them, "Why are you here? Where did you come from?"

"Hi! I'm Sora!" The young man introduced himself as the present Elsa stared at the teenage in disbelief, "And I-" He paused when he noticed the duck glare at him. Whatever he was going to say, he didn't say it. Instead he simply answered, "Uh... I'm from... let's just say someplace... a little warmer."

That was weird, why didn't that duck want to say the older Sora was from? Either way, the answer seemed to please the duck before he smiled to her past self, "I'm Donald."

"And I'm Goofy," The dog introduced himself.

Donald and Goofy. The latter seemed a rather silly name to the present Queen, while she watched herself observe the trio, "Are you visiting Arendelle? For the Coronation?"

The teen seemed uncertain how to answer, turning to his companions, who nodded to the Queen. He force an unconvincing response, "You got us."

The present Elsa stared in disbelief, "I'm not seriously going to buy that for an answer."

Then again, she recalled her mind was on the fact she was dealing with fact that everyone knew her secret, so she probably wouldn't have dived to deeply. The older Sora then revealed a more genuine smile, "So, what's your name?"

After a brief moment of silence, she watched herself answer Sora's question, "Elsa. Queen Elsa of Arendelle."

The three gasped in shock, as Sora exclaimed, "Wha...? The Queen!"

All three of them stood in attention as if they were in the military. It didn't take much to realize unlike little Sora, they had just missed the party. Her past self told the three, "You shouldn't be here. Please go back to the village."

She watched herself turn to leave, leaving the teenager confused, "Why?" He then told her, "Your Majesty, you look like you could use a friend. Don't you want talk?"

"Please leave," She watched herself tell him again, "I need to be alone. I don't want to hurt anyone."

The present Elsa looked at herself, seemingly a ghost to them. She knew better. She knew the truth. She was hurting people. She just didn't realize it at the time.

However, the boy only looked to her past self with compassion, and spoke to her again, "Oh... is it bad? You must have been through a lot."

"We know what that's like," Donald squawked, "Don't we?"

Sora nodded in agreement as Goofy spoke up, "Sure, adventuring's fun, but it definitely has its ups and downs. When the going gets tough, us friends have to stick together!"

"Exactly!" Sora nodded excitedly to Goofy before crossing his arms and gave Donald a playful smirk, "Although, Donald, you do tend to lose your temper a lot, so... I can relate wanting some time alone."

"What?! I don't do that!" The duck glared at him as present Elsa face palmed herself. Despite being so much older than the Sora she knew, this Sora seemed to have the mind of a child... kinda like Anna. Not to mention, they shared the same determination to not leave her alone for their own safety. A habit she hope young Sora wouldn't grow into.

The past version of herself, saw that they weren't getting the point, turn to flat out tell them, "Enough!"

However, just like what happened at the ballroom, Past Elsa unintentionally cast wave of ice startling the three. They backed away just as the ice was about to touch them. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but she had revealed her secret again!

The three turned to Elsa in disbelief, as Sora could barely make out words he was show shocked, "Elsa... Did you...?"

The Present Elsa watched her past self back away, expecting her to run to the North Mountain like she did. What she didn't expect, was there something appeared behind her. They almost looked like reindeer, except their antlers were made of ice, they lacked fur, reeked of darkness, and they had horrible yellow eyes. As her past self backed away from them in fear, she couldn't help but gasp, "What on Earth?"

She never encountered creatures like them. Not on her own trip up the mountains. She could here Goofy exclaim, "The Heartless!"

Elsa glanced to the three as she watched them race to her past self's aid. They knew what those things were?

The teenage Sora, raised his hand, and with a flash of light, a sword in the shape of a key appeared in his hands. She recalled Jason saying his nephew summoned such a thing to aid in their escape from the Empire. Donald summoned a staff while Goofy summoned his shield as they and Sora stood between the monsters and herself, ready to protect her. The older Sora told her, "Don't worry. We've got 'em. Take cover."

She watched as her past self nodded and hid behind the trees as both versions watched as the three battled the monsters. Both gasped in awe and amazement as they battled the creatures using their powers with such skill. Where were they able to learn control their powers like that?

She watched as Sora leaped on Goofy's shield as the latter boosted them both in the air. Then while mid air, former grabbed the anamorphic, twirled him around at superhuman speeds before throwing him, shield first, into a group of monsters destroying many of them and sent others flying. Then, much to the Elsas disbelief, destroyed what was left by casting waves of fire and ice at them.

However, a much larger one, showed up. Practical around the size of Marshmallow. Both versions of Elsa watched as the three bravely fought the creature. Was this to be Sora's full potential?

Jason said he was going to help figure out how to control his powers. So, he could be a massive force for good. If little Sora would ended up growing up like his counterpart has, she could definitely see the potential.

Her thoughts vanished as Goofy's voice exclaimed, "Look out!"

Suddenly Donald was sent flying through the air and just missed present Elsa crashing into the tree next to the one her past self was hiding. The snow from said tree fell on top of him to add insult to injury. She watched her past self take a step closer to see if he was okay. Suddenly the snow melted off of Donald as his entire head turned red with angry. Grumbling words she couldn't quite make out, she would be surprised if anyone could figure out what he was saying like this. Letting his staff stay in midair, through magic or just some kind of different power she did not know about, used the opportunity to roll up his sleeves before grabbing his staff angrily. The duck then charged in full of rage as he raised his staff in the air, "WWWWWAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKK!"

Suddenly meteors fell from the sky and struck the monster head one, and without giving it any quarter Donald smacked the creature to the ground with his staff. With it stunned Sora used their opportunity to plunge his Keyblade into its chest, seemingly killing it as it faded away and a heart shaped icon floated away before vanishing. With the battle finished, Sora turned to the duck with a smirk, "You don't lose your temper, huh?"

Goofy chuckled as the put away their weapons. Donald crossed his arms as he glared at the both of them, "Ah, phooey!"

Suddenly, they saw Elsa's past self revealing herself from the trees. The three turned to her in concern as the older version of the boy she knew ask her, "Elsa, are you okay?"

"I...I'm sorry I was upset with you," Her past self apologized before giving them a grateful look, "Thank you for your help."

As the present Elsa watched these events take place, she couldn't help but wonder, why did she not recall these events ever taking place... and yet... felt like it happened just a few days ago. Was it déjà vu? And where was Jason during all of this?

However, a single one of those Heartless appeared behind the three heroes and leaped in to attack them from behind. Both versions of Elsa's warned them, "Look out!"

While the present Elsa was like a ghost and unable to aid the three, the past version acted, lifted up her gloveless hand and blast the creature with ice destroying it. The present version sighed in relief as Sora turned to her past self, "That's amazing. You can control ice."

Turning her head towards Sora, the present Elsa half smiled, "Your impressed by that? Your capable of doing the same and..." Her eyes widened in horror, "...so... much... more..."

Wait, if this version can control ice, does that mean... the adorable nephew of Jason was cable of too. Her eyes turned to concern, "Oh... oh God... please don't... don't let it be true... don't let anyone else be burned with this curse..."

As she spoke she heard her own voice reply to Sora's reaction, "Control it? No, all I ever do... is hurt people..."

"It's okay," The dog reassure her past self, "Those we're just the Heartless."

Her past self tilted her head, "You said that word before. What are they?"

Pondering the same question, the present one stepped forward, wanting to hear this for herself as Sora answered, "Monsters that are after people's hearts. Wherever they go, there's trouble."

"They're after people's hearts?" The past version of herself asked. Elsa frowned at that as well. See never saw those kind of creatures. The older Sora said they were going everywhere but the only danger to Arendelle at the moment other than herself was this Empire... and Hans who was taking advantage of Anna's loneliness so he could be King.

She heard the older islander speak, "Yes, they're dangerous! You should head home before it gets worse."

"This is my home now. I can't go back," She heard herself answer turning away from them again, "I don't want to hurt anyone."

Turning back to the conversation, Sora looked confused and concerned, "What?"

She saw herself turn to them one last time, "Arendelle is safer with me staying up here."

She watched as her past self turned to leave, as Sora called out to her, "Not safer for you!"

She witnessed the teen try to pursue her past self but she created a wall of ice stopping him or his companions from following her. With that, she watch herself continue her path to the North Mountain, "Please, go away!"

If she knew people that were like her, the people Jason knew or meeting this version during the Coronation and asked for his help, could what happened back there been avoided all together? No, it didn't matter now, there was a child struggling with his abilities. She needed to get back to the real world. Now!

Elsa shook off the visions and was back in the real world. However, Sora's eyes continued to glow and Jason and Ace were powerless to help him. What was even worse, those powers that she witnessed the older counterparts perform, the boy began to manifest as ice began to spreed around him all while his hands began to smoke without harming himself.

She doubted it would stay that way. If she didn't act soon, someone could get hurt. Despite the blinding light, she walked up to the boy, calling out to him, "Sora! Can you hear me in there?!"

With each step, flashes off images appeared in her head...

Sora witnessing her create her ice place...

Arguing with a woman with horrible yellows eyes and wore a black coat...

She tried to shrug off the visions even as voices could be heard in her head.

"So, what will Elsa accept? Light or darkness? I know I want to know!"

"Well, good for you, but guess what! I won't let her fall to darkness!"

Another step closer, as Elsa desperately tried to reach the boy, "Sora!"

...she witnessed Sora meeting Anna, Olaf, along with the man she came with... Kristoff? And his reindeer, Sven?

She was just with in boy's reach...

"Hello? Olaf, are these your friends?"

"Nope, never met 'em. Don't know anyone blue, green, or who's oddly spikey!"

She kneeled down to the boy as his ice didn't affect her... as she witnessed Sora and his companions battling Marshmallow... only to end up falling at the bottom of the mountain with an annoyed expression on his face...

"Good thing snow is so soft. We can do this a hundred times."

Elsa reached out to him as she resisted the urge to go back into the visions.

Finally, she witnessed Hans carrying her unconscious body off back to Arendelle...

...when she finally had a hold of the islander, "Sora... sweetie... I need you to stop the visions now..."

With his eyes still glowing, he barely made out, "It's... too... much..."

She looked to him with deep concern, she then softly told him, "Then focus on my voice. Come back to me. Come back to your Uncle... come back to those who love you..."

As Elsa spoke to him the ice she formed out of fear died down and the storm outside seemed to calm at the moment. Still, unable to quite reach her, she sang softly, "Sora~ I know you're in there~ These are stressful times~ I know~"

The boy's eyes flickered for a moment, giving Jason a moment to fight off the visions as Elsa continued to sing, "With all these strange powers, evil men, and all the snow~ But we'll get this together~ Three of us~ We'll find out what just to do~"

She finally asked, "Do you wanna build a snowman~?"

With those final lyrics, Sora's eyes stopped glowing as his natural eye color returned, and he feel on Elsa shoulder. Catching him with ease, she comforted the overwhelmed boy. Jason finally back in reality, he turned to the two in concern, "Is he...?"

"Overwhelmed, stressed," Elsa answered as she continued to hold the child, "But I think he'll be alright." She then turned to him, "Did you see...?"

"The visions of you meeting a teenage Sora and the two he was with," Jason finished.

"Donald... Goofy..." Sora whispered as Ace came to his side whimpering.

He turned to Elsa, "Do you recall this ever happening?"

"No, that never happened," She shook her head, "And yet, it feels like it has... like déjà vu..." She looked to Jason, "But that can't be possible. That Sora was a teenager, this one is only four, for Pete's sake!"

She turned to the child who sniffed, stroking his hair, "What does it all mean?"

Jason turned off the fountain, stopping the water flow from the sink, "I have a theory... it's not concrete though... all I know it's linked to Operation Kingdom."

"You don't think those monsters are part of it, do you?" Elsa wondered, "The Heartless, I think they were called?"

"Possible," Jason admitted, "Although, it begs the question, if they were supposed to be here..."

"...then why haven't any shown up?" Elsa finished standing up. She sighed, "Look, for whatever reason, I can fight off Sora's overwhelming visions if it happens again. Bring him back to the real world. I'll stay with you to save Anna and bring back Summer, but after that... I come back here."

"Fair enough," Jason nodded before wondering, "Now, the valley?"

"It's been a while but if we head down the mountain and use that map you took," The Snow Queen approached him, "I should be able to pick it up from memory..." She frowned as she turned to the boy, "I still don't know where Anna can be at this point, I doubt she would return with the current state it's in..."

Suddenly, something beeped with Jason's pocket, startling the Queen, "What was that?!"

Jason pulled it out as his eyes widened, "Anna activated the tracker I gave her..."

"Tracker?" Elsa repeated, "We can find her with that?"

"Yes," He confirmed, "But we need to hurry. I told her to activate if there was an emergency. She must have ran into an Imperial patrol!"

Elsa's eyes widened in horror when Ace's ear picked up and he started growling. She turned to the hound, "What's the matter, Ace?"

Jason's eyes narrowed, "That better not be who I think it is!"

Rushing out of the bathroom, he picked up his helmet and pulled out a pair of binoculars, he ran to the balcony, and looked through the device. Turning to the way he, Ace, and Sora came, he spotted fallen AT-STs that Marshmallow helped Sora take down, but he also saw a large group of people, marching through the snow, towards the castle. Jason's eyes narrowed with anger, "I'm going to kill him."

"What is it?" Elsa slowly followed the former Robin.

"It's your sister's fiancé," He answered, "He's here. And he's leading a party, using them think there here to find Anna."

"...but that's not why you think he's here," Elsa assumed.

"Yeah, because if he wasn't here to kill you," He turned to two familiar-looking men, "...He wouldn't have brought the Duke's goons with him."

Marshmallow's eyes narrowed with anger as Ace growled. Jason put away the pair of binoculars, as he told them, "Easy. Even if they were both working for the Empire, he's brought innocents too. We can't fight them without harming them... not after Sora's freak-out. Not to mention we need all the time possible if we're going to save Anna."

"Then what do we do?" Elsa held the child protectively.

Jason thought for a moment before turning to her, "Is there another way out?"

"No," Elsa shook her head.

"Can you make one?" Jason asked again

"I-I don't know, I can't risk...," Elsa frowned fearing if she used her powers she'd only make things worse.

"Elsa..." Jason spoke gently, "Sora's selves a burned, and within your bathroom is the proof that a mini snow storm... with a child's footprints at the dead center of it. It won't take long for them to figure out that Sora's a meta. And with the condition of things, some people within that crowd who aren't Imps will kill him to ensure he doesn't become a threat. Please, for his sake."

Jason's words sunk in, and Elsa felt the sudden need to protect Sora from the world around him. Taking a deep breath, she changed her answer, "I'll need a few minutes."

Placing on his helmet, he replied, "I've got just the thing, but I'll also need to borrow Marshmallow..."

The snow creature turned to the Red Hood...

Just outside of Elsa's ice castle, Hans turned to the rescue party, he ordered, "We are here to find Princess Anna. Be on guard, but no harm is to come to the Queen."

The Duke's guard glanced to each other, as they had their own orders. All of sudden, a new voice spoke up, "And you wonder why I don't trust you!"

Everyone looked towards the source of the voice and from the top of the massive doors to the castle, stood the Red Hood. Recognizing the voice, Hans raised an eyebrow, "Mr. Todd?!"

"You can call me the Red Hood," Jason's eyes narrowed from his mask, "And your Princess is in another castle!"

Not knowing the Mario reference, Hans stated, "Then where is she?"

"I'll handle it," Red Hood told him without revealing everything to him, "Turn back to Arendelle, I don't trust you with the Queen."

"Queen Elsa has a lot to answer for! If she can just bring back Summer..." Hans tried to sound dignified.

Jason didn't want to hear it, "Really? And what of you! I know your secret Hans, and you're not as noble as you duped everyone into believing you are." He then gestured to the Duke's men, "If you really meant what you said that no harm is coming to Elsa then why bring the Duke's thugs?! You and I both know they fully intend to commit murder to bring back summer!"

Hans glanced at them as they nervously stared at Red Hood. They put on a brave face when it came to a really powerful meta-human but they were absolutely terrified with a guy without any. Hans glanced back at Red Hood, "You're not so high and mighty, what of the child? Isn't he the Key to Thrawn's Operation Kingdom? You bringing him here puts him in danger and I respectfully ask for his own safety to bring him out here and the Queen's unconditional surrender."

"Request denied! Your act won't work with me," Jason then pulled out a canister from his jacket and pulled the pin, "But since you ignored me and came all the way here, here's a generous consolation prize."

Throwing the canister at Hans's feet, smoke covered the entire top of the mountain, making people cough. With them, temporarily blinded, Jason leaped to the ground and returned inside the castle, closing the door behind him. Turning to Marshmallow, that only buys us a couple of minutes. Why don't you add some more?"

Marshmallow nodded knowing what he had to do to protect the Queen. Marching to the stairs, Marshmallow proceeded to smash them as Jason smirked with satisfaction under his hood, as he quipped to himself, "I almost tempted to give Elsa the idea of home insurance... nah... she can always fix it up later. Cheaper that way in her case."

Back with Elsa, she stood on the balcony as she used her free hand to create an additional staircase, one that led to the other side of the mountain. Hearing Marshmallow smashing the staircase from across the hall, she turned to Sora giving him a brave face, "It'll be okay. We won't let anything happen to you."

Sora smiled at that, as Elsa finished her work as Ace waited patiently...

Meanwhile, outside, Hans coughed as he blindly looked for the stairs to the ice castle. As the smoke began to clear itself, Hans looked up to see the ice doors into the castle. His eyes narrowed with anger as he drew his sword and climbed up the steps...

What remained of the stairs would prove impossible to climb up with the damage to the floor. Jason scanned to former only way in or out of the castle, "They're coming!" He pulled out his grapple gun, he turned to the snow creature, "Remember, most of the search party are innocents just looking for their lost princess. Try not to hurt them too badly... but if it happened to be a certain Prince or two thugs... go all out."

Marshmallow nodded as Jason fired to grapple to the second floor before promising, "Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to the Queen. You have my word."

When he zipped away, Hans just entered the building sword in hand. He saw Jason leave to the second floor, "NO!"

However, his brief anger, turned to shock as the snow creature let out a massive roar as he came right at him, "GO AWAY!"

Jason climbed out the undamaged rail of what remained of the staircase, as he ran down the hall. Ace barked happily at his presence as he told the newly founded group, "Time to go!" He turned to the Queen, "How's the emergency exit coming along?"

"Just finished," Elsa turned to him while holding onto the child before warning him, "But it leads to a path I haven't traveled, we'll be lost."

"Trackers still active and I have the map," Red Hood reassured her, "We'll be fine. And it certainly beats the alternative route."

"Fair enough," Elsa nodded as she, Jason, and Ace ran down the stairs toward the unknown with the child safely in her arms...

Hans was backed up by the Duke's guard and several civilians as he swung his blade at the snow creature. It barely phased him as the creature knocked the Duke's guard aside, but he left an opening which the Prince took. He raised the sword before cleanly cutting off the creature's leg causing it to fall to the ground. However, it wasn't down yet as it swatted the Prince away making him drop his blade and sending him flying. He crashed near the snow just after the stairs to the castle. Hans was about to go back in when he noticed something, he saw another stair path at the other end of the castle he knew wasn't there before. He saw the backs of the Red Hood, his hound, and the Queen with the child in her arms as they ran down the other end of the mountain, he called out to the party, "Pull back! The monster's a division! Todd's escaping with the Queen!"

With that, most of the group pulled back, leaving a smug Marshmallow as he knew he did his job. Hans would never take her now or his new friends...

Jason, Ace, and Elsa ran through the snow path, as Sora wondered, "Is Marshmallow going to be okay?"

"He's fine, Sora," Elsa reassured him, "He's made of snow, he'll just put himself back together no problem." She then turned to Jason, "Where to now?"

Red Hood stared at the device before gesturing to their left, "This way!"

They raced down that path running past the trees. Just then, Ace's ears picked up, quickly turning back the hound leaped behind the Queen's back and caught an arrow that would hit her in the back. The two adults turned in shock as Ace growled at the shooter with the arrow in his teeth. They noticed that the Duke's guard managed to run ahead of the others in an attempt to kill her. Jason's free hand reached for his blaster as Elsa reminded him, "Jason! No! They're just doing their job! Besides! Anna needs us now!"

"Point taken!" Jason nodded, "Can you slow them down?!"

Elsa raised her free hand making a wall of ice that blocked the Duke's bodyguard's path just stopping the arrows coming at them. One of them shouted, "Go around it!"

"Let's move before they catch up!" Jason told the Queen. Nodding in agreement, they picked up the pace. Soon enough, Jason saw where the trail was leading them and he stopped the group, "Whoa! Whoa!"

They stopped as they reached the edge of a cliff, Jason turned to the device, "Quickest route to Anna is down there!"

"We have to go around!" Elsa stated as Jason did a scan of the environment. He pulled out a blaster and fired it into the trees behind them. The bolt knocked one of the bodyguard's crossbows out of hand as another did the same with his companion. A few more just barely missed their heads. Warning shots.

The guards turned to each other as they realized, this wasn't worth their lives. They retreated back to the party but Jason noticed the Prince and the others were catching up on them. Jason turned to her, "Don't think we have that option!"

"Uh, okay!" Elsa nodded before looking down, "I- I'll just create another set of stairs to the bottom!"

Before she could, Jason told her, "Even if we had the time, we still need to lose these guys! This could be our one shot at it!" He then looked to a strong tree branch before turning back to Elsa, "How much do you weigh?"

Taken back by the question, the Queen answered, "Uh, 119 pounds... why?"

Without answering Jason pulled out his grapple gun and fired it into the branch, he then handed the gun to her, "Taken this."

"Wha...?" Elsa blinked as Jason placed the gun in her hand.

He quickly instructed as he pointed to the device, "Hold on to it tightly and press this button, it should ease you two safely to the bottom of the cliff quickly without you breaking anything." He turned to Sora, "Don't let go of the Queen until you're back on the ground."

Sora nodded while Elsa grew a little scared, "What if my powers freeze your grapple before we get anywhere close? We could both..."

He placed a finger on her lips as he calmly instructed, "Don't think what ifs. Focus on what you want most and you'll achieve it. Focus of Sora. Think of getting him to safety. Focus on that, and you'll be fine." Those words made feel Elsa at ease, as Jason promised, "I'll join you once you're both safe."

Elsa nodded as she cautiously stepped off the side of the cliff and did as she was instructed. The wire lowered them down quickly. The Queen told the boy, "Don't let go..." As he hugged her, she thought to herself, "Get Sora safely on the ground... get Sora safely on the ground..."

As they began to vanish from viewing distance, Ace barked as Hans and the rescue party grew closer to them. Putting away the tracker device, he pulled out the knife as he he to the wire, "Just need to buy them another minute, boy. Then we're out of here."

He then fired some warning shots forcing the party to take cover, Hans exclaimed, "Get down!" As he hid behind the trees, he shouted out, "This isn't looking good for you, Todd! Just give us the Queen and Child! Along with anything you have on finding Anna! You can't run from this!"

"Believe me, if I had the time, I'd take care of you now," Jason shouted back, "But I have my hands full at the moment..."

Meanwhile, Elsa kept her focus on getting Sora and herself safely on the ground. She thought it would take forever when suddenly, she saw the snowy ground below her feet. Smiling in relief, she lowered herself and the boy to the ground. She laughed in relief, "We made it, Sora!"

"Yay!" Sora made an adorable cheer as her feet touched the snow-covered earth.

Unsure of how to send it back, she assumed Jason would climb down it. Letting go of the grapple, she turned to Sora, "We should probably let your Uncle know that we made it."

Sora nodded in agreement as the Queen raised her hand a fired an icy blast into the air...

...Jason saw a blue blast of magic explode in the air above him like a firework, smirking underneath his hood, "...I'll be coming for you once I'm done here, Your Highness!"

Firing a few more warning shots, Jason dashed to the wire. As the party took cover from Jason's bolts, he used the knife to cut the wire Elsa used to get down so they wouldn't follow them that way. He put away his weapons, as he grabbed Ace, and jumped off the cliff. He turned back to see Hans peak his head last the vigilante. Jason gave him a mock salute as he free-fell with Ace. As they fell Jason pulled out his spare grapple, "I love it when a plan comes together."

Ace barked in agreement as the Red Hood aimed for the cliffs. He was about to pull the trigger, when he felt pain going into his head as he clutched in pain. Ace's eyes widened as he barked at the former Robin... as green mist oozed off of him...

Back on the bottom of the cliff, the cut wire fell by Elsa's feet. Setting down the boy she picked up the wire, "He cut the wire?" She couldn't help but wonder, "What could he planning?"

Suddenly, she heard Sora gasp in horror, "Uncle Jason! Ace!"

Looking up she saw the two fall to the ground below. Her eyes widened in horror. Acting quickly, Elsa created a gaint pile of snow to soften the impact. She finished in just in time as Jason and the Bat-Hound on into it.

The Snow Queen climbed up the pile of snow to check to see if they were okay, "Ace! Jason!" Ace peeked his head out of snow and barked at her, letting her know that he was okay. She nodded as she found Jason, she called out in concern, "Jason!" Running over to her side, she called out again, "JASON!"

Groaning he rubbed his head in pain, as he sat back up. Elsa sighed in relief, "Oh, thank God! You're not dead!"

Realizing that she was practically on his chest, she backed away, blushing slightly as she slid to the ground. Jason followed her down as she wondered, "What happened up there?"

"You know what?" Jason replied as he removed his helmet, "I'm not sure... that never happened before..."

Back on the top of the cliff, Hans observed the cut wire. One of the citizens in his party approached him, "Your highness, this was a 200 foot drop. No way anyone could survive that fall."

"He could," The Prince stood back up, "He knew exactly what he was doing..." He turned to him, "Did you find anything telling us where they were going?"

"No sire," He shook his head, "We look through very thoroughly in the castle. Nothing had been found except the Queen's glove and crown. We did found a few Imperial Prisoners of their own attack upon the Queen. They didn't seem to know what happened either."

"And her bodyguard," He asked.

"Gone," He reported, "Left as soon as he knew that the Queen got away. We're taking the prisoners back to Arendelle. We'll pick up the trail the next morning."

"Very good. We'll find Anna, whatever it takes," Hans nodded to him as the citizen nodded as he went to join the party. He then glared at the cliff where Jason made the jump, he whispered, "Then next time we meet, I don't care what you call yourself... your dead. And I'll see to that myself."

He then turned to rejoin the rescue party, pretending to be an kind Prince again...

Back on the bottom of the cliff, Elsa wondered as Jason dusted off the snow from his jacket, "Do you think they'll take the long way down?"

"If they do, we'll be long gone before any of them catch up," Jason reassured her as he checked on his gadgets and ammo.

"...you know before the attack, I saw a vision of Hans carrying me back to Arendelle," The Snow Queen admitted.

"So did I," Jason nodded.

"Do you think... if you went on your own, he would have successfully taken me?" Elsa wondered.

"Possibly," Jason admitted, "Thankfully, that didn't happen, although, I may have made myself an outlaw of Arendelle by helping you."

"Sorry," She apologized.

"It's alright," He reassured her, "As long as both Hans and the Empire are stopped, I'll be alright. Plus you or your sister could always pardon me again."

As he was saying this, he rubbed his head again, Elsa turned to him concerned, "You okay?"

"It's fine," He answered as he picked up the grapple gun he had cut and removed the cut wire with a new grapple from his belt, "It's just a headache."

"Just? That stunt would have killed you and Ace," Elsa pointed out, "You've been at this nonstop, maybe we she take a moment to breathe."

"Don't have the option," He pointed out as he put away the grapple gun and pulled out the tracker again, "We need to find your sister, remember?"

"Anna..." She gasped in worry.

Placing back on his helmet he stood back on his feet, "If we hurry, we could still save her."

Elsa nodded as she picked up the child, "Come on, Sora."

With that, the Snow Queen rushed into the forest as Ace followed. Just took a moment to observe himself, as he noticed a green mist coming from him, "That's new."

Snapping out of his thoughts he rushed after the others hoping to rescue the young sister of the Queen... completely unaware that a man in a black coat was watching them...
