CHAPTER 1: THIS IS NOT A DREAM

[1216 Franklin Avenue.]

[Sunday, 20th August.]

[05:30 AM.]

.

Our story begins in a small room on the 1st floor, cramped with a big cabinet and a drawer.

That morning…

Lincoln: "Hoahm…" [yawns]

Enters, Lincoln Loud, the 6th of 11 Loud siblings, the only boy of The Louds. As soon as he woke up, he would regain his consciousness and watch the clock.

Lincoln: "Hmm, half past 5…" [still sleepy]

He would then do his signature habit in the beginning of every story: talk to the audiences.

Lincoln: "As you can see, The Loud House is full of noises and hectic atmosphere, especially at the 1st floor hall this hour, where literally every person hogs into the bathroom.…" [explains to the audiences]

He's right. As usual, he would be expecting his 10 sisters to crowd on the bathroom, effectively turning the 1st floor hall into a corridor of conga line. It sucked. And he knew it.

Lincoln: "Any minute now…" [waits for the event to happen]

A silence.

Lincoln: "Any second…" [intensely waiting]

Still a silence.

Lincoln: "Come on…" [intensely waiting, begins to sweat]

But, to no avail. Nothing happened. The hall was practically too silent for The Loud House. What was happening?

Lincoln: "It's… weird! Lori's supposed to tell the sisters that this is bath hour, and wham! Everyone hogs the hall!" [upset]

Finally, Lincoln could no longer wait to find the answer. Filled with curiosity, he peeked outside to see it himself.

Lincoln: "I wonder what they are doing right now!" [opens his bedroom door]

The hall, was dead empty. Abandoned. Deserted. No living things would stand there forever. Lincoln flabbergasted.

Lincoln: "Hey, where is everyone?" [confused]

Fueled with more questions, Lincoln checked every bedroom of the 1st floor hall belonging to his sisters. Starting with Lisa and Lily's.

Lincoln: "Lisaaaa?" [knocks Lisa and Lily's bedroom door]

The door was not locked. It was left open. Lincoln did not expect Lisa and Lily to leave the door open as it would give away their privacy. Lincoln began wondering.

Lincoln: "Eh?" [getting even more confused]

But what lied inside, shocked Lincoln.

Lincoln: "What in the name of-!?"

Inside that room, there's no baby crib, no bed, not even Lisa's little laboratory. Instead, Lincoln found a bunch of paper boxes all over the room.

Lincoln: "Ugh… what is this? Frying pan? A bunch of spoons? Ties? Wait, this is… these are Dad's old stuffs!" [examines the boxes, still confused]

Lincoln: Lisa? Lily? Are you there? [tries to call his sisters]

But, to no avail. No one answered him.

Lincoln: "What the heck? What has just happened?" [overwhelmed by confusion]

Suddenly, a horrible thought haunted Lincoln's mind. What if…?

Lincoln: "Hey, could it be... Lana!?" [rushes to Lana and Lola's room]

What he feared came true. Lana and Lola's bedroom had turned into a gym. Lincoln caught himself in an even more fright.

Lincoln: "Oh no…" [rushes to other bedrooms]

Unfortunately, the same fate struck the other bedrooms as well, as if... nobody slept there?

Lincoln: "This is... this is nightmare!" [shocked]

Lincoln frowned in paranoia. What happened to his sisters? Where were they? How were they doing? Those questions revolved around Lincoln's mind and completely overwhelmed him.

Finally, Lincoln decided to ask his parents, Lynn Loud Senior and Rita Loud, if they had any idea about this whole disaster.

Lincoln: "Mooom! Daaad!" [pale, rushes to the ground floor]

Rita: "Lincoln? Oh my God… What's happening, honey? You look pale!" [worried about Lincoln]

Lynn Sr: "Lincoln?" [cooks in the kitchen]

Lincoln: "Where- Where are our sisters!? Leni, Luna, Lynn, Lola... Everyone has disappeared!" [scared]

Rita: "Huh?"

But instead, they laughed.

Rita: "Lincoln, what are you talking about?" [confused]

Lynn Sr: "Sisters? Hah, nice joke, kid! Since when do we have sisters in our house?" [laughs]

Lincoln: "Eh?"

Rita: "You don't have any sister, Lincoln! You are our only child!" [laughs too]

Lincoln: "W… What!?"

Lincoln was shocked. He had no sister. He's the only kid in the family...? No wonder he could not find any photo of his sisters on the stairway wall...!

Lincoln: "I- I don't have... any sister!?"

Rita: "Yes! Did you just forget it?" [giggles, finds Lincoln funny]

Lynn Sr: "Ehh Lincoln! Having a bad dream, huh?" [smugs, teases Lincoln]

He began pinching his own cheek, testing if he was sleeping the whole time.

Lincoln: "D- Don't tell me... this is just a dream..." [begins pinching himself, testing his consciousness]

But, to no avail. Oh boy. THIS IS NOT A DREAM.

Lincoln: "Oh no. This is REAL." [even more pale]

It's on. Lincoln had no other option. From now on, he must live with his parents as the sole heir of the family and get on with it. Slowly, Lincoln regained his mind and reevaluated the situation.

Lynn Sr: "Maybe you need a glass of water! You must have had a long night!" [gives him a glass of mineral water]

Lincoln: [drinks]

Lincoln: 'Okay, Lincoln... everything's going to be okay... Besides, look at the bright side!' [thinks]

Lincoln: 'No more long lines of waiting for bathroom, no more screams and noises, and... You don't have to share! Everything's yours!' [thinks]

Lincoln had it. He could do it. He had a firm hold on his will. Maybe… this reality was not as bad as he previously thought?

Lynn Sr: "Feeling better, boy?"

Lincoln: "Yes!" [suddenly happy and bright]

He never felt any happier before. For the first time, Lincoln could finally break free of the entangled sisterhood that kept shackling him forever.

He didn't have to listen to Lori complaining about him or bossing him around.

He didn't have to get himself trapped in Leni's householding problem or any stupid fashion quest.

He didn't have to get his ears pierced by Luna's terrible bass.

He won't see or hear any of Luan's cheap jokes or even trigger her nasty prank trap.

He won't get harmed by Lynn Junior's deadly wrestling moves.

He would no longer get any heart attack by Lucy's jumpscare.

He didn't have to pacify Lana and Lola in their every infight.

He would no longer be Lisa's guinea pig for her obnoxious experiments.

He won't see or smell any of Lily's spoiled diapers.

And the best part? He didn't even have to share the pizza pieces!

He would enjoy every single moment of his freedom for the rest of that day. He would NOT waste it. Not when he's at it. I mean, after years of torture, why would you throw away your reward?

Lynn Sr: "Haha! That's more like it! Now, why don't you have a bath before a breakfast, huh?" [happy as well]

Lincoln: "Right away, Dad!"

Lincoln obeyed. After taking a bath, he would enjoy the meal served by his dad, the greatest chef of the family.

Lincoln: "By the way... this is Sunday, right?"

Lynn Sr: "Yes! And in fact, we have something for you to tell!"

Lincoln: "Hoooo… What is it?" [gushes]

Rita: "So we have monitored your activities for this whole week."

Rita: "Considering your good behavior in both the house and the school… we have finally come into a decision."

Lynn Sr: "So today, we're going on a vacation! And the best part is, you pick the spot!"

Lincoln was astounded. If previously his sisters majorly took the decision, this time he could do as he pleased.

Lincoln: "R-Really!?"

Lynn Sr: "Of course! So, where do you want to go?"

Lincoln: "Dairyland! I always dream of going to Dairyland! Please! Pleaaaseee!" [excited, impatient]

Lynn Sr: "Haha! You're the boss! Okay, pack your stuff, champ! We're going to see some milk!"

Lincoln: "HOORAAY!" [cheers]

Rita: [laughs again, adored of her son]

Lincoln: "Thank you! Thank you so much! I have never felt this happier before! You two are the best!"

Lynn Sr: "Hehe. Anything for you, boy!"

[Dairyland Amusement Park.]

[Sunday, 20th August.]

[11.00 AM.]

.

The dreamland was just a hundred feet away from the house, but it was a worth walk. Soon enough, Lincoln Loud would vanish away as he was already wandering cheerfully in the amusement park.

Lincoln: "WOOOOOHOOOOOO!" [immediately runs into the Dairyland Amusement Park]

Rita: "Hahaha. Oh honey, would you look at that, our baby running happily like a toddler getting a new toy. He's right, I have never seen him this joyful! Although this is yet not his birthday!" [talks to her husband]

Lynn Sr: "I know, sweetheart. I know! Tis the season. Besides, he deserved it too! What a pleasing sight." [responds to his wife]

Dairy Farm Theatre. Milk Shakers Roller Coaster. River of Milky Way. Lincoln tried it all, with no hesitation. He didn't have to be concerned about his sisters getting lost in the park or something around that matter. It would last for the next 5 hours.

[1216 Franklin Avenue.]

[Sunday, 20th August.]

[06.00 PM.]

.

At home, no different. Lincoln watched his favorite TV show, "ARRGH!" and "The Dessert Storm", and sometimes, played video games. Did he have to fight his sisters over the TV remote stick? No! Did he have to sit on the overcrowded sofa while he was watching TV? No! Did someone else bother him other than his parents? No! Lincoln won't be interrupted or even be denied over the TV that day! Except…

Rita: "Alright Lincoln, that's enough. It's nearing bedtime, so how about you return to your room and finish your homework for the school tomorrow."

Lincoln: "On it!"

Lynn Sr: "The dinner's ready!"

Lincoln: "Coming!"

Dinner? Check. Sparkling teeth? Check. Homework? Check. Pajamas? Check. Finally, bedtime.

Lincoln: "Goodnight, Bun-Bun..." [smiles, pats his bunny doll]

It didn't take long for Lincoln to fall asleep.

However, right in his dream…

He found himself, surrounded by his sisters.

Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn Jr, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, Lily: [shows up]

Lincoln: "Oh hey, finally! I have been looking for you gals!" [surprised]

Lincoln: "Anyway, you won't believe me when I say I went to Dairyland this day! It was fun! Haha! What a pity you didn't show up. Where have you been?"

But, for some reason, anger and hatred could be seen from their faces.

Lincoln: "G-Guys? What… what's wrong with your faces? Why are you looking at me like that!?" [nervous]

Lincoln never expected such a painful hospitality from them.

Lori: "You JERK!"

Leni: "I never thought you were so COLD-HEARTED!"

Luna: "You're going DOWN!"

Luan: "Look at you! you're so happy without us, huh!?"

Luan: "We are gone forever, and you just snitched the whole fun for yourself! THAT AIN'T EVEN FUNNY, LINCOLN!"

Lincoln: "W- What?"

Suddenly, he could feel his head forcefully rotating by itself. Wait, no. It was Lynn Loud Junior.

Lynn Jr: "Well if you think that's funny, you're gonna see how FUNNY this is!" [snaps Lincoln's neck]

Lincoln: "Wait NO-"

Shortly after, Lincoln could not feel anything.

Lynn Jr. then twisted his neck, supposedly paralyzing his body. As Lincoln fell into the abyss, he could see the agony from his sisters.

Lucy: "We suffer in eternity, ALL because of YOU."

Lana: "You're the WORST!"

Lola: "And you still CALL YOURSELF A BROTHER!?"

Lily: "PFFFFFFTT!"

Lincoln: "No- NO! You- You aren't even real! Leave me be!"

Lisa showed up to counter the verdict.

Lisa: "Is it, Lincoln? Now you're playing Mr. Right Man?"

Lincoln: "Li- Lisa?"

Lisa: "You are DENYING THE TRUTH, Lincoln. You don't even know HALF THE STORY."

Lisa: "Let me inform you. You ERASED our memory from the world, making everyone FORGETS us."

Lisa: "You simply don't want us to EXIST. Am I right, 'brother'?"

Lincoln: "No-"

Lucy: "And... such a fate... is worse than DEATH."

Lincoln: "No!"

Lucy: "You don't. Deserve. LIFE."

Lincoln: "NO!"

And finally, Lori came to deliver the final blow. She turned into a giant, then crushed Lincoln's skull using her golf club, just like a golf ball. His head shattered like glass. What a butchery. But in a nightmare, anything can happen.

And that's what it took, to flip Lincoln's bright smile into a grim frown with a shed of tears, in a glimpse of seconds.

Lincoln: "Stop! Please, STOP! Why… WHY!? WHY ARE YOU ALL DOING THIS TO ME!? I DIDN'T-" [begs for mercy]

Lincoln fell in remorse he was never supposed to endure as the shards of his head were ejected into the darkness. The sisters began revolving around him. No. No way a boy could handle this kind of catastrophe. After all, why did they hate him this much? What did he do to deserve such a murderous riot from his sisters? Because if anything, he would wake up that morning with the sisters leaving him for good. That's what he thought. And most of all, what should he do next? Lincoln had absolutely no idea.

Slowly, Lincoln fell deeper and quicker into the darkness.

Lincoln: "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~~" [screams out loud]

And with a long exhale, Lincoln Loud woke up.
