The next gathering was to announce her pregnancy.

"What happened to courting first," Kouga huffed,

"Though not formal, we courted long enough,"

"Bro, really?"'

Sesshomaru watched his mate talking to her friends, her hand on her small growing bump, judging by the rate of growth, she was carrying the twins.

The wind blew and he looked away, catching just enough scent he knew his brother came. Though no one besides Sesshomaru would ever see him or his daughter, he was true to his word and always sought them.'

He was there for their formal human wedding, he was there when she gave birth, and Sesshomaru would take each baby to meet their uncle after birth.

Kagome always knew, though she never said a word.

They lived the story as it was written, and not because it was written but because it happened, and as life happened, more was always added.

"Miroku, it's time for the games," Kagome peeked in, her mate close behind her. She was pregnant and due to give birth any day, but she still insisted on throwing a birthday party for one of his kids.

"Coming, let me just put this away," Miroku was always writing.

She smiled and pushed her mate back, letting the cloth door close.

Miroku dipped his pin and wrote on more things before smiling and putting it away. He always kept what he wrote hidden; not even his wife saw it.

It would not be until his deathbed that he told Sesshomaru where it was and gave it to Kagome.

"What this?" She asked tears in her eyes. Sango had died a year before.

Miroku, old and weak, smiled back and pulled the cloth away, revealing the book inside. Kagome's eyes met his. "It was you," She breathed

He smiled. "Never forget," Moments later, his smile faded as did the life in his eyes.

Kagome ran her hands over the book and cried. The book was much longer now.

"What did he leave you?" Her mate asked,

"It's the book," She whispered,

Running over the carved words on the front, he had named the book, the title she never thought to look at back in the future.

"Forever Never Forgotten," She choked out.

Sesshomaru looked over her shoulder. "Forever Never Forget,"

It contained all of their lives, and she would tell their tales for a lifetime to come so that her friends, their love, and the meaning of their lives were never ever forgotten.

Because she never wanted to forget ever again and even when and if they died, it would live on.

Forever.

The End.
