Chapter 1: Black Meet Red

He stood watching from the shadows of the trees. The group of men sitting around a fire talking. Oldest with white hair spoke.

"Taha Aki asked the great Wolf if he could share his body with him and the wolf complied. As a single being, the wolf…." The man Trailed off as I came up behind, to sit next to a boy of about twelve winters.

"Why did you stop, elder?'' Asks the boy and some of the other pups. Everyone around the fire followed the elder eyes. No one screamed, at least. I could hear their gasp and heart beats. "JACOB LOOK OUT, TO YOUR LEFT." A boy yielded. hurting my ears. The Jacob boy turned his head and saw me eye to eye. "WOLF"

See I'm not some normal wolf, That lives around Forks, Washington or anywhere in the world. In my current form. Sitting I'm 4′8″ from paw to ear tip. Standing on all fours it's 5′.

"Hello Alpha Black, my name is Red." "Hey Red My name is Jacob Black, not Alpha Black."

The elders made a rusting noise. Looking their way. They had their heads together whispering. Turning back to Jacob.

" I'm here Black because the phasing is coming for the Quileute tribe. Soon one of you will turn."

"turn into what." Jacob asks out loud. "I would recommend you talk with your thoughts. Instead of out loud."

"To answer your question Jacob. Your tribe's bloodline will feel threatened and begin changing you into quadruped Werewolves."

"(Jacob) When does this happen" "(Red) This normally happens between fourteen and twenty one winters. It can happen soon if the person's life is in danger. The earliest I have heard of some phasing is eight winters. In very rare cases someone is born with their power active."

"(Jacob) Red I just turned fifteen two weeks back." "(Red) That might be why I had a feeling. I need to come to this gathering and talk with you. I…."

Something made a whooshing sound and pain erupted from the back of my head. "Jacob, move out of the way." One of the boys had a thick log tightly in his grip. Blood was running down the back left side of my face.

With another swig he hit me in the left eye breaking the socket and the log. Jacob did not move, he just fell to the ground crying in pain. Clutching the back of his head.

Through the pain I pulled back on projecting my thoughts to everyone. The throbbing in the back of my head was fading. My body, already healing itself.

The tribe elders rushed forward. They were yelling something. I could not hear well. That boy smashed the log into my left eye and ear drum. The eye was healing itself first. Being the more severe injury.

Growling, I lunged at the boy. Mouth open teeth going for his arm. Something wrapped itself around my middle. Turning to snap.

"Red please he did not mean any harm." Scowl with a growl.

"Ok he did pick up the log and hit you twice with it. Paul was probably thinking you were going to eat me. If you were talking to everyone." The Paul boy had backed away to stand behind the elders.

"We apologize for the actions one from our tribe has done." The older tribal members bowed their heads. It was brave of them to look down. While in the presence of a wolf. Paul and the teenage boy did not bow or look to apologize.

"(Red) Black, tell the Paul boy to come forward and apologize for hitting me. If he doesn't I will track him down later." "Paul, Red wants you to come forward and say you're sorry for hitting him." Jacob repeated. "OK Jacob."

Paul walked forward to stand about three feet from us. "I apologize for hitting you in the back of the head and eye." I just dip my head a little, not breaking eye contact.

Jacob still had his arm around my mid section under the front legs. "(Red) I need to get going Black. It's getting late and healing has made me hungry." Jacob was just loosening his grip when the vision started.
