Yes, that's something no one expected for Harry, to be honest, everyone was expecting him to marry Ginny Weasley, his best friend's sister and also the one that has been in love with him since both of them were mere children, yes everyone thought they were the perfect couple.
But turns out that destiny had other plans for him and also for Fleur, because at some point she was married to Ron's brother: Bill, And it was a shock for everyone when they broke up, or at least for those who weren't blinded by love.
After the war, the couple was devastated, well they were more devastated on the husband's side of the family considering that one of his brothers died during the war, which left a deep scar deep inside the mind of the man and that's something that she couldn't heal, she tried to be the best wife she could to her husband and that was kind of difficult considering the man turned into a half werewolf.
The war changed everyone, Fleur also had her own traumas, she lost some of the friends she made in Britain, and she saw many horrors during those days, but still, she didn't complain and she never voiced her concerns because she was more focused on helping her husband trying to regain the normal life he once had.
But it was all in vain, as was mentioned before there was nothing that she could do to help him, and the only escape the man could find was in a bottle of alcohol, well one turned into many, thus the man became an alcoholic but not just like a normal alcoholic, everyone knows that magical people can resist more than muggles when it comes to alcohol.
The man really put his life at risk due to his addiction and Fleur, as the good wife she was supposed to be according to her mother-in-law, tried for a year to help him regain his normal life, but in the end, she got tired and she hated herself due to the next decision she was going to take: divorce.
The Weasley family ended up hating her because she didn't stay with her husband until the end according to their customs, but she was young she had dreams she wanted to do many things in life she didn't want to be stuck with a man who didn't want to help himself and that seemed to not want to live anymore, their love also refused to live anymore.
She got back to France to forget about everything and even if she felt guilty she knew she had to think about herself for once and also she needed this time to heal herself, and no one in Britain knew about her for a year.
That was until the protagonist of this story: Harry, got the chance to meet her once again, he also decided to escape from Britain and his reasons to escape were similar to Fleur which made them bond in the future.
Harry had been dating Ginny ever since the war ended, they finally got the chance to be together and they thought that it was going to be fine, they thought that they will finally have their happy ending.
But many things happened between them, first of all, Ginny and Harry got back to school to finish their studies they were in the same year and they were sharing everything from classes to meals, Harry didn't want to come back but he knew that he was going to regret it for the rest of his life if he didn't do it.
So he took that chance to be a normal student with a girlfriend and it was an interesting experience but at some point, it became annoying because sometimes he secretly wanted to be alone and that was something that he had been wanting for a long time since the war, but sometimes as much as you wish something that maybe will never happen.
And for Harry that was a difficult thing to get, Ginny was so clingy that he barely had time to do any other things than being with her, and at some point, the situation became so annoying that he was regretting getting back with Ginny, but Harry like the humble person that he is you didn't have the guts to tell her that he didn't like that attitude from her.
So just like he was taught ever since he was little he just accepted his destiny, thankfully graduation came and now it was time for everyone to get their jobs and their own activities, don't misunderstand him he didn't want to break up with her, but he was hopeful that with this situation at least each one of them would have time to do any other things different than being together, he thought that was the key for a healthy relationship.
Oh boy, he was so innocent for thinking like that, he sometimes remembers set and feels so stupid and he sometimes cringes at the thought, yeah, in reality, all things went wrong because Ginny's insecurity became worse because she had to train in a different place than him.
She thought that he was going to become a quidditch player like her, but the man surprised her once again when he told everyone he wanted to join the Auror department, he wanted to bring justice and finally complete what he couldn't do after the war, capture Voldemort's remaining followers.
Ginny obviously was so angry but still, she decided to accept his decision, Ginevra's insecurity became worse and worse because Harry interacted with a lot of women some of them older and some younger but they all shared the same characteristic according to Ginny: they were all hot.
And even though she wasn't bad looking, Ginny, due to her humble upbringing thought she wasn't fit to be with the man who conquered and that was bullshit because he considered her to be the most beautiful woman in the world and that was something he wasn't going to discuss with anyone or at least at that time he thought like that.
Ginevra's jealousy was getting to a point in which Harry couldn't take it anymore, and two years after the war ended and two years after starting their relationship once again, they shook the world with the news, Harry Potter and Ginevra Whisley finally broke up.
The news shocked the whole world witches around the world were so excited about this news, As for Harry, well he needed some time to think about what he was going to do next.
The green-eyed man decided to take a large needed vacation, thankfully he has some benefits of the ministry, one of them being able to take vacations wherever he wanted, that's one of the benefits you get for defeating the strongest wizard in fifty years.
So which place did he decide to go to? That was an easy choice, he went to France without thinking twice he wanted to spend some time alone he was only 20 trying to think about his future, he always wanted to have a calm life but it seems like life didn't want to give him that.
And one evening in the hot summer of the year 2000, he met her once again a beautiful tall blonde blue-eyed veela that he knew too well, at that moment he didn't know it was her, at that time he was too focused on his drinks until he was approached by that woman, the most beautiful woman in the world according to many magazines and the one that managed to capture his heart.
Fleur Isabelle Delacour, that's the name of the woman that he met that night and the one he didn't expect to become more than friends with him and more than a girlfriend, here he spent his vacations with her.

During the month that his vacation lasted, they got to know each other once again at first it was a little strange because they had sex, but no one had to know that was a secret between them or at least they thought that it was going to remain like a secret between them.
The reality is that during the month that they were together in France they started to fall for each other, so when Harry came back to Britain he surprised his friends and all the people that he knew because he didn't come back from France alone he came back with a beautiful witch that used to be married to one of his best friend's brothers.
It was a strange situation considering the relationship Fleur had with the Weasleys, it was weird for her, but not for Harry, he didn't know Bill too well, and as far as he was concerned the man was currently in treatment in another country and no one knew if he was going to recover.
At this time even if this situation made him look like a jerk, Harry decided to not give a fuck this time, he was happy with her and he was convinced that he was going to make her happy and he thought his friends were going to accept him but that was difficult because his two best friends were dating, and Ron without thinking stopped talking to him.

Harry stared at his wife for a few moments before he nodded at her, he thought she was going to get angry because today was a special occasion, they were celebrating two years of anniversary today and it was supposed to be a happy and special occasion.
And It was, everything was perfect it was a flawless event, but the thing here is that he couldn't help but miss his best friends specially Hermione.
- I know it's difficult for you to not miss them, baby… And I know they miss you too, they're just too afraid to disappoint their close friends and family – Fleur hugged him tightly – You and I… We weren't supposed to be a thing, but destiny works weirdly – Fleur gave him a peck – I know you might regret being with me—Fleur was suddenly cut off.
Harry decided to shut her with a kiss that surprised the blonde woman, the kiss was intense, there was force, there was love, and many strong emotions, and she couldn't help but kiss him back, when the kiss ended, Harry stared at the blonde woman with a serious expression.
- Never in your life think that I regret being with you… Is that okay? – Harry asked with a serious expression and she nodded without any doubt and a smile on her face.
This time Fleur decided to attack his lips before climbing on his body until he carried her bridal style and in just a few seconds they were already at the door of their room when suddenly Fleur stopped the kiss and blocked the door from him.
- Fleur, come on… Let's go – Harry was eager to make her his.
