Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, we took a brief divergence from the main plot to introduce a new character: Punk, an unaligned character who's out to terminate the Regime for murdering his friends. And he made a hell of a debut by popping Peacemaker's head like a bloody balloon. We'll see more of him as things go on, but for now, we've got to catch up with Blaze and co. So what are they up to? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens on something we really have not seen in a while, Blaze writing in her journal. There are clear remnants of other entries on the pages, but this one is clearly getting her frustrations out. The entry reads in this fashion:)

"Forget everything I've said previously, this whole war just got much stranger. Actually, stranger is not the right word for it. Scarier would probably be more appropriate. And of course, it all started from trusting Nabu. You'd think I would have learned after Nairobi. But no, of course not.

And now not only is the ghoul that killed Kent's wife, Inza, is running loose again, but trying and failing to stop it cost my dear friend Etrigan his life. And Fate's gotten Kent into another terrible situation, as now the two are under Darkblood's control!

I don't know how much more of this I can take. Every second I feel like I'm going to break. We've got to put an end to this madness before it gets any worse. And that starts with rescuing Kent. I don't give a damn about Fate, I just don't want the same thing that happened to Inza to happen to Kent."

(As Blaze places down her quill, we see Green Arrow and Flash make a long overdue return, taking a seat with her)

Green Arrow: Bad day?

Blaze: That's one way to put it.

Flash: Fate screw you over again?

Blaze: Screwed me, Kent, Inza, all of us.

Flash: Whoa, back up a sec, how did Fate screw over Inza?

Green Arrow: Inza?

Flash: Kent Nelson's late wife.

Blaze: Turns out, Fate made her Doctor Fate to take out a ghoul, and it killed her.

Green Arrow: Ouch.

Blaze: And it gets worse. Stopping that same ghoul lost us Etrigan.

Flash: Oh, oh no... I'm so sorry. I know how close you two were.

Blaze: And it didn't even stop it. The ghoul is released, and now Doctor Fate is under Darkblood's control.

Green Arrow: Are you serious?

Blaze: Yeah, it's a lot to take on at once.

Flash: You seem to be taking it well.

Blaze: Appearances can be deceiving.

Green Arrow: Don't sell yourself short, kid. You've handled more madness in the last three years than I have in... probably my entire life. And you've only really broken down once.

Flash: Your holding together better than any of the rest of us did during Clark's initial reign of terror. You've got this.

(Hearing the encouragement from one of her oldest allies in this war and the previous one, Blaze re-steels herself. And just as she does, the alarm goes off, indicating something really bad is going on, as evidenced by a flash of smoke, revealing Batman has returned.)

Batman: We've got a situation.

Blaze: Is there an update on Kent?

Batman: Yes, and it's not a good one.

(Batman makes his way swiftly to the Legion's computer system, and shows exactly where Doctor Fate has turned up, as well as, by extension, where Darkblood is.)

Batman: It wasn't hard to track Fate down. If Darkblood has him in his control, the two probably won't stray far from one another.

Blaze: Cut to the chase, Bruce. Where are they?

Batman: Atlantis.

Green Arrow: Atlantis? What would Darkblood want there?

Blaze: Revenge.

Green Arrow: Revenge?

Blaze: During the first war with the Regime, Drago was killed by a rogue wave that collapsed the building he was in.

Green Arrow: I'm still not seeing how this ties to Atlantis.

Blaze: Aquaman was the one who created that wave.

Flash: It's just the sort of thing Dragnarok would've hated. You take what's important to me, I destroy everything important to you.

Batman: And with Doctor Fate under his power, he may just be able to do it.

Blaze: Couldn't have made a better summary if I tried. We need to get down there. Now.

Batman: We can have the Javelin 7 ready for sea transport in two minutes.

Blaze: Do it in one.

Batman: Now you're starting to sound like me.

Blaze: Mostly because, since Fate was last allied with us, I don't want to see the rest of the Regime get involved, particularly Superman. (To Flash) Tell Belial that we need to get on the move, straight away.

Flash: On it.

Batman: Are you sure you can handle this?

Blaze: I have to. For Kent's sake.

(And with that, Blaze walks off to prepare a return to Atlantis, knowing she's not welcome there, but knowing Darkblood is going to reduce it to rubble if she does nothing, leaving even Batman surprised, and kind of worried for her honestly. But on that, our scene ends)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up. So, we finally learn where Darkblood has decided to attack. And no surprise knowing his backstory, it's Atlantis. Aquaman is certainly not going to like this. The Regime is almost certainly going to be pissed off about this, especially with Punk acting up in the background. More on that later. So how is this battle going to go? Will Doctor Fate be freed from Darkblood's control? Will Atlantis survive or be reduced to rubble? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
