Kaiju Fighters Ch. 09

Back in the mission room, everyone involved with the mining incident is present as Mosura and the Shobijin walk in.

Mosura starts, "So, what is the result of the…" and stops when she turns to the Gojirian. "Gojira? What happened to your clothes?"

Gojira looks down at himself who is still only wearing half-burnt pants. "They burnt up from the explosion."

"Explosion!?" the divine moth takes a deep breath. "Gojira, I know how reckless you can be. But please tell me you didn't blow up a mine?"

Rodan stands up, "Gojira had no choice. It was the only way to stop Megaguirus and the Meganula."

"What about the workers?"

Baragon sighs, "They were already gone before we got there."

Those words sadden Mosura, "I am sorry, Baragon. Other than the casualties and given the disobeyed orders," the goddess of peace faces Rodan as he sinks into his seat. "I guess this mission was a success. I'll talk to everyone later for further details. You are dismissed." With that, everyone gets up and heads for the doors while the Divine Moth mutters, "This is going to be some report."

Kimiko calls Gojira over. "Hey, Goji! Nice to see that you're all healed up now."

"Yeah, thanks," he replies as he looks back down barely seeing any marks from his recent injuries. "Where are you going after this?"

"I have to file my own report," she sighs. "All of those workers who died. All their families will have to be contacted and informed," the agent pauses for a moment. "I really should be going," and she walks past him, but Kimiko turns around before going out the door. "Hey, Goji! What are you doing tomorrow afternoon?"

"Probably just hanging out around here." Gojira shrugs. "Unless Mosura has a mission for me. Why?"

"Well, my mother was rather upset when we left suddenly with our meals untouched. Perhaps we could meet up there for launch?"

"Sure, I don't see why not."

"Thank you," she bows. "I'll see you tomorrow, Goji," then she leaves. After she was gone Gojira decides to pay his respects to his sensei.

In the training hall, Caesar meditates in the same place he was in this morning.

"You blew up an entire mine?" he asks when Gojira walks in. "If you were a full-sized kaiju I would not have given it much thought. But human sized with all your power at a limit. I must say that I am impressed."

"Thanks, Sensei." Gojira bows. "It was actually your advice that helped me."

"So, the prideful King actually meditated. Now I am truly impressed, not to mention surprised," the shisha chuckles. "Now tell me, young one. Did you come here to train or are you ready for round two."

"Actually, I think I'll join you," Gojira sits next to his old master to meditate with him.

Seeing this Caesar could not help but feel proud of his student. "Gojira."

"Yes, Sensei?"

"Take a shower. You smell like charred fish."

.oOo.

Deep within the mines there is a large pile of charred corpses of the Meganula. Looking around the mines, most people would say that there is no way anything could survive what had happened here.

Among the corpses there is movement. Coming from the pile there is one survivor. Megaguirus. She crawls out coughing and gasping for air. When she finally begins to focus the sight around her puts her into shock.

Megaguirus lets out in blood curdling scream. Looking around, seeing the corpse of all her children surrounding her. "MY BABIES! Oh, my poor, poor babies." feeling water coming down the side of her face she could not help but raise her hands to her face and try to wipe them away. She is unfamiliar with the emotions of humans. All that the Queen knows is that she does not like it.

Megaguirus soon notices a bright glowing light from the corner of her eyes. Turning to see what the source of this light is coming from. There she sees a large circle of energy. Remembering a similar form of energy that brought her to the modern Japan, she knows it as a door of some kind.

An outline of a large figure on the other side moves closer and closer to the door. Coming out from this door is tall man in gold with golden hair, wings, and a tail that split in two at the end. The man stares at her with his blood red eyes.

The gold man kneels next to her, "That emotion you're feeling is something the humans call sadness," he tells her. "It usually comes in the form of water pouring from the eyes."

"Who, who are you?" She manages to choke out.

"Ah, forgive me," he stands. "It seems I have forgotten my introduction," the man bows. "I am the Grand King Ghidorah. And never have I found beauty in anything other than destruction." Ghidorah kneels back down. "Until today," grabs one of her hands, raises them, and presses his lips on it. This motion made her smile and her face turn red.

"I am Megaguirus. Queen of the Meganula," she proudly announces before looking among her children and lowers her head. "the former Queen of the Meganula."

Seeing this Ghidorah takes his free hand and uses it to raise her head back up. "You know? Every queen needs a king, just as much as every king needs a queen. And I do not like it when my queen is sad. So, tell me, my dear. Is there anything I can do to take away this sadness?"

"There is one thing," she grinds her teeth. "I want the head of my children's murderer on a platter."

"That my Queen…" the King of Terror grins. "can be arranged." he stands, pulling the ancient dragonfly along with him, and holds out his arm for her to take it. Megaguirus hesitates at first, but she takes his offer; not wanting to be alone. And the two walk through the door.
