B&B OF LOVE AND FUN-12
Hi everyone. Thank you very much for all your reviews. I'm happy that you like the story. Last chapter was really steamy, our beloved Carsons were having a great time. Now it's time to move on. Last preparations before the big opening. Hope you will like it...
"Elsie, I still can't believe, that Charles managed to tear down that wall so soon...I thought, that it will take him much longer..."- Beryl was in awe of Charles's effectiveness...
"Well...He just had a very good motivation..."-Elsie replied, smiling discretly, which didn't come unnoticed with Beryl...
"Whatever the motivation was, I'm very grateful, that he accepted my request..."
"He wanted to make you happy...You know what Beryl? I will tell you something, but don't tell that you heard it from me..."
"What is it?"
"Charles told me, that he will be the one taking care of us both and he feels that he is now responsible for two women, instead of one..."
"That's so sweet of him...He really likes to be a man of the house, doesn't he?"
"You know what they say- old habits die hard..."
"It's true Elsie, it's true...But Charles will be responsible for three women, you are forgetting Katie..."
"Oh that's right...When do you think she will get here?"
"I'm planning to move in here in two days, so I called her and asked her to come too...She needs to know the layout of the B&B and I think, that we should talk-all four of us together, tell her what we expect from her...She can hardly wait to get here..."
"You mentioned, that she really wants to work here with us..."
"Yes, it is quite a change for her..I'm glad, that she will be here..I will not be so alone..."
"You are not alone Beryl, we are all in this, together, all three of us..."
"We are, but you are married and in love and I feel like a third wheel momentarily..."
"You know Beryl...Yesterday I met Mr Mason in the village and he was asking about our B&B and oferring his help, if we needed something..."-Elsie looked at her friend, who distinctly blushed, hearing this...
"He did? That's so kind of him..."
"So I'm guessing, that you will not be totally alone here..."
"Elsie! I have no idea what you are suggesting..."
"So you are the only one who can have a portion of daily jokes?"
"I think it's best, if we will skip that topic now..."
"All right, but we will go back to that later..."
The next day...
Elsie, Charles and Beryl, were sitting together in the living room, looking around with pride in their eyes...All the work has been finished and they were suppose to move in tomorrow and start the day after that...Everything was ready for the big opening...
"I can't believe, that we made it, we really made it..."-Beryl was excited, but touched in the same time..
"There is no turning back now...Our great journey is about to start..."-Elsie looked at her husband and her friend and she felt a rush of emotions, she loved them both so much..."I'm very happy, that I'm starting this adventure with both of you..."
Charles squeezed Elsie's hand, looking at her with love...Beryl caught that look...
"I'm happy about that too...I promise, that I will take care for both of you ladies and Katie...We will manage..."-Charles was untypically enthusiastic...
"There is nothing more to be done but to drink for our future success...So I say, let's just raise the glasses and hope for the best..."-Beryl was the one who decided to make a toast...
"For our success..."-Charles and Elsie joined the happy toast!
The next day...
The moving day was a one, big, overwhelming chaos...Each of them were trying not to loose their heads, but it was quite difficult...Thousand things to do, thousand last tminute decisions to make...By the time they got to their afternoon tea, they were quite exhausted...
Elsie and especially Charles, were more than welcome, to have a possibility of a few minutes break. They only just drink a cup, when Beryl entered with Katie, who has just arrived...
"Charles, Elsie...This is my niece Katie...Elsie you already met her before...Katie, these are my best friends- Charles and Elsie Carson...Say hello.."
Katie appeared to be a little shy, when she entered the room...She shook hands with Charles and Elsie... It was obvious, that she felt a little bit uncomfortable..
"Katie, why don't I make you a cup of tea, get you something to eat and then we can discuss some details? Will that be all right with you?"-Elsie asked warmly, wanting to break the ice a bit...
"Yes Mrs Carson. Thank you very much..."
Charles felt pride, hearing someone else referring to Elsie as Mrs Carson...It didn't happen often in the past, when they were working in the house, but now, there were no contradictions to call Elsie that...
Katie had some tea, eat sandwiches and then they started to talk things over...
"You see Katie, we need someone younger, like you, to help us run this place...We are just getting started here and we don't know yet, if this will be a great success, but once this place will be filled with guests, as we hope it will be, we will going to have a lot of work here and it's important, that we will all give the best of us..."- Elsie said gently, not wanting to scare the girl too much, but also trying to let her know, what they were expecting...
"Do you hear that Katie? You are suppose to be a good girl from now on...No sitting in the quiet corner and reading those silly romance books...Hard work from dawn till dusk"-Beryl was more decisive, in the question of Katie's duties...
"Now, now Beryl...Don't scare the poor girl, because she is ready to run away at night and we really need her..."- Elsie was always the calming factor...
"The bottom line here, is that we need to cooperate well, all four of us together..."-Charles decided to pinch in his two cents..."Are you up for the task Katie?"
"I believe that I am Mr Carson...I will do my best, to not to disappoint you all...And I'm very happy to be here with you...I will be working hard.."
"Oh yes you will...Come on now Katie...I will show you our part of the B&B and your room, you must be tired after the trip..."
Beryl left, taking Katie and leaving the Carsons all alone...
"Poor Katie...Beryl could be more delicate with her, she has scared her totally, in the very beginning..."
"She should be aware, of what is ahead of her, after all she is our employee.."
"She is Charles, but she is also a human being and we need to treat her as such..."
"Well, she can always count on your support Elsie...So, I guess this is it...Our first night here, under the same roof, in our new home..."
"No turning back now my love..Are you ready for this new chapter of our life?"
"With you I'm ready for anything sweetheart...And don't you ever forget it..."-Charles smiled wickedly to Elsie...
"It's not difficult to forget it, especially here, in this place, where just few days ago, we were both ready for anything.."
"That lovely memory will stay with me forever..."-Charles's eyes became dreamy...
"Same here, but we have new memories ahead of us...Can't wait for that..."
Charles took Elsie in his arms and cuddled her closely...They were a bit terrified, but calm at the same time, because no matter what was ahead of them, they always had each other...
That's all for today...They are now happily settled in their new place...The fun is about to begin ;-) As the title of the story says- it's suppose to be B&B of love and fun...Hope you liked this chapter. Have a wonderful weekend...
