Kaiju Fighters Ch. 14
Gojira and Gamera managed to sneak into the freezer of the nearby meat factory and are now surrounded by frozen meat. Which wasn't hard considering that there was no sign of any humans. Which means that they abandoned the place after the gyaos arrived. Or they were the main course.
Gojira complains in a whisper, "I can't believe I'm stuck here with you," while pushing one of the meats away.
"Like I'm enjoying this," Gamera tells him. "I didn't think it would be this cold," saying that a fiery glow starts coming from the cracks of his front armor.
The Kaiju King notices the glow, "What are you doing?"
"My heart is a furnace," he taps his shell. "It's where most of my power comes from other than Terra itself."
"So, you're using your heart to keep warm."
"Yeah! Aren't you cold?"
"Not at all," Gojira tells him. "I'm a living nuclear factory."
The turtle stops for a moment, "I don't know much about nuclear energy other than that it harms Terra. Wouldn't that put others around you at risk?"
"To be honest…" Gojira stops as he got the scent of the gyaos. He turns to Gamera and can only guess that he caught the same scent as he is looking around, ready to fight. They both hear the familiar sound of the gyaos building up their sonic rays and both jump out of the way. The blasts cut through several frozen meats and Gojira's coat.
"Shoot! We missed," they hear a voice say before being tackled by the gyaos.
Gojira holds his arms up to defend himself from the albino gyaos. She claws at his arms, tearing up his coat even more. Gojira throws her away from him. This gyaos knows she cannot take him in direct combat. So, she resorts to using her sonic rays from a safe distance and Gojira starts doing the same. Both dodge each other's attacks.
Gamera and the red gyaos fight is at the other side of the freezer. Gyaos manages to claw Gamera with her newly regrown hand. Gamera tries blasting her with a fire ball but finds it not as effective in the freezer and finds himself getting colder with every use. The red gyaos charges up to Gamera ready to hit him with a sonic ray. Gamera gets pinned up against the wall, the gyaos' arm is underneath his chin, keeping his mouth from her so he does not hit her with a fire ball. As she is about to release the sonic ray but stops when she feels a sharp pain going through her abdomen. Looking down, she sees a blade coming from Gamera's arm going through her stomach. Gyaos takes a couple steps back and collapses onto the floor.
The pale gyaos screams, "SISTER!" quickly flies over to her fallen kin. "Please be alright, please!" she starts tearing up. "You're all I have left. I don't want to be alone," her sister looks up at her, smiles, and raises her hand up to wipe away the tears before it falls to the floor.
Gamera looks down at his blood covered blade. He had killed many gyaos before. But now with them appearing human.
He retracts his blade and tells her, "I'm sorry. I didn't want to do this, but she left me no choice."
"You…" she glares at the guardian. "You killed her!" she charges at him, through the wall, and out into the streets. Gojira follows them. Gyaos randomly claws at the guardian. She gets a good hit over his eyes, temporarily blinding him. Gyaos readies a sonic ray before getting hit by a blue beam, knocking her away from the guardian.
Gojira runs up to Gamera to give him a hand, "Hey! You alright shell head."
"I'll be alright, dragon breath," Gamera tells him as he begins to regain his vision. He sees the gyaos getting back up, glaring before taking off.
"How are we going to get her now?" Gojira asks before Gamera picks him up and takes off into the sky. Gojira could only think of course he can fly. They try catching up to the gyaos, but she is much faster than them. After several turns Gojira gets an idea. "Hey! Shell head! How's your throwing arm!?" Gamera looks down at him, smirking.
"Here comes the pitch," the guardian shouts before throwing the king. Gojira hits the gyaos, grabs her wings, and tears them off. The gyaos screeches in pain as she feels them being torn right out of her back. Both starts tumbling to the ground. Gamera manages to grab Gojira on his way down. He tries to catch gyaos, but a portal opens, catching the Shadow of Atlantis, and closes before Gojira and Gamera can get to it.
They land near the street.
"They're gone," Gojira says.
"They went through a door. Just like Zedus," Gamera tells him.
"This happened before?" Gojira turns to him and Gamera nods. The kaiju king thinks for a moment. "We need to get back to the others."
