CHAPTER 15
A couple weeks passed and it was Memorial Day weekend. Grace and Carrick were throwing a barbecue in the backyard. The pool was prepared and everyone was coming, mostly family and a few friends.
Ana was getting dressed in a cute blue sleeveless sundress with little white flowers on it. It was gathered at the bustline with a square neckline, straps at the top and form fitted. She had on white sandals that crisscrossed her calves and tied at the knee. Christian was in khaki cargo shorts and a polo blue shirt. They wore their bathing suits under their clothes. Ana brought asiago cheese ball bites on tiny pretzel sticks, sausage balls and cannoli chips with sweet cannoli filling with chocolate chips in it. Ana had a beach bag with everything they needed in it. Christian helped her carry the food to the R8 and the left for Bellevue.
Christian pulled up and parked. Ana and he walked into the house with everything. Grace had Christian go outside while she and Ana prepared all the snacks to take out to the snack table. Once the trays were ready Ana and Grace started carrying out the trays and put them on the table. Elliot was following the food.
Ana said, "Now, no hogging it all Elliot, you eating machine. We have more coming out in a minute." After she the trays down Elliot tickled her making her giggle and run in the house to get more food. Elliot was laughing at her runaway.
Mia's girlfriend Lily said, "Geez, does she flirt with everyone male here today? Wasn't that the woman that ran into you in the middle of Nieman's?"
Mia said, "Usually she's picking on Elliot. It's not flirting it's my brother being a silly butthead. She flirts with Christian because they have been together for months. Oh and yes it was her that I ran into at the store. Nobody was hurt so no big deal. I would prefer it to be her than a stranger."
Lily said, "Well, you can't tell the difference of flirting from what I see, the fat cow."
Mia said, "Well you just may need some glasses because we all love her and she is not fat. She's family." That made Lily very jealous of a Ana. Mia was wondering what the hell her problem was with Ana.
Ana brought out the rest of the snacks with Grace. They all got snacks and drinks and we're socializing.
Elliot said, "Christian, have you got 'The Grace' out of dry dock? I was thinking we could go for a sail some weekend soon. I could take this girl Tammy out with you and Ana. We could go out to Mercer Island and go swimming and have a picnic or something?"
Ana said, "Your not seeing Kate anymore?"
Elliot glanced at Christian and said, "No she didn't work out after the end of the second week. She was a bit, too loose with doing other people while seeing each other. I at least won't see others if I'm with someone until I break it off or blow it off. Christian also told me what you said to him about Kate the day after so I kinda jumped ship seeing her."
Ana said, "Geez, she couldn't even be monogamous for two weeks. That's gross."
Elliot said in a whisper, "I got tested after that." Ana nodded and said good.
Ana winked and said, "We love you too much, El, to have you around someone I knew all about." He patted her shoulder and went to get more snacks.
Ana said giggling, "Now I wonder if he's got tape worms by the way he eats."
Christian chuckled saying, "If he does he would have had them all his life." Ana shook her head watching him pig out.
Elliot came back and said, "You make the best little balls ever." Ana giggled at him.
Christian said, "Let's go swimming, baby?"
Ana said, "Ok." They went over to the poolside and took off their clothes together and went into the pool sitting their drinks on the side of the pool. They floated in the deep end wrapped around each other talking and kissing. Lily never took her eyes off of Ana and Christian.
She was always trying to catch Christian's attention but he always blew her off. She thought if she could gain his attention that he would want her. Lily always dressed as provocative as she could but had always focused to an obsession with Christian. She stayed friends with Mia for that reason and what she could get from her. She watched the two of them floating around and smiling. Every now and then, Ana would giggle at something Christian said or did and Lily let it get on her nerves becoming annoyed and hated Ana.
After a while Ana and Christian got out of the pool, dried off and went inside to get in dry clothes. They were in the guest bedroom on the first floor and started taking a shower together to get the chlorine from the pool off their skin washing each other leading always to shower sex. Lily went in the house and heard them having sex in the hallway. Lily went into the kitchen and then into the living room. She saw Mia's purse and started going through it.
Ana went out of the bedroom telling Christian that she would meet him outside because he had a call to return. Ana walked out and saw Lily going through Mia's purse. First, she thought she may be getting something for Mia, but then saw her pocket a wad of cash. Ana pulled out her phone and videoed her taking makeup and putting it in her pockets too.
Ana left on the audio and confronted her. Ana said, "What do you think your doing going through Mia's purse?"
Lily stopped with the purse in her hand and said, "I was getting something for Mia."
Ana said curiously, "Does that include that wad of cash and about four or more things of makeup?"
Lily said nonchalantly, "She doesn't mind the makeup because she will just go buy more."
Ana said getting mad, "Does that include cash?" Christian stopped dead in the hall and had been listening to the conversation in the living room.
Lily got defensive and said loudly, "It's none of your fucking business you fat fucking cow! Mia can just get more!"
Ana said angry, "Is that what you call yourself, a friend? Stealing money and things from Mia like a thief? Your pathetic."
Lily put the purse down and said, "Who do you think you are, you slut fucking Christian in his mother's guest room. Your just after his money and name
I have known him longer than you. He would have dated me in time."
Ana thought the girl was delusional and looked at her like she was nuts. Ana said, "Are you crazy? I have my own money and name. I'm no slut because we love each other and have been seeing each other for four months." Christian who was standing in the hall put his hand in his pocket with the ring box in it. He wanted to propose today.
Ana said, "I'm going to tell Mia what you have been doing." Ana turned and marched out of the living room.
Lily snapped, "So what you fucking whore."
She was so steamed that she didn't even see Christian in the hallway to the left and walked straight outside. She went up to Mia and pulled her aside and showed her the video and audio. Mia got mad. Ana hugged her and kissed her cheek and said, "I so sorry, Mia. I love you."
Mia hugged her back and said, "I love you too, Ana. I can't believe she has been stealing from me all this time. I've always wondered why my makeup would disappeared. I thought I was forgetful and leaving it everywhere, but my money too? That's too much. I have about $700 dollars in my purse."
In the house, Christian walked up looking at Lily. Lily said, "Hi Christian, you look good today I love your shorts."
Christian said, "You should probably leave about now, if I were you?"
Lily said, "What do you mean. Mia was my ride, but if your asking to go for a drive with me, I'll say yes."
At that point Mia stomped through the door and Ana was behind her. Mia went up to her purse and snatched it up. Mia put her hand out to Lily.
Lily looked curiously oblivious at her hand and said, "What?"
Mia said pissed, "Empty your pockets and give me back what you stole from me?"
Lily said, "Has that bitch, Ana the fat fucking cow, been lying about me! She is the one I saw taking stuff from your purse. How dare she point her finger at me!"
Mia said spitting nails, "It was on video and audio. I heard and saw everything you did and said. Ana doesn't need to steal she is as wealthy as my brother, Christian. Give me my stuff back Lily, you liar!" Lily was pissed at getting busted for stealing by Ana.
Lily grabbed a lamp so fast and threw it at Ana's head screaming, "He should have been mine, whore!" It happened so fast Ana's couldn't stop it. It hit her in the head. Ana crumpled to the floor.
Mia screamed, "You hateful bitch!", and punched Lily in the face breaking her nose. Lily screamed bloody murder and everyone ran inside to see what happened.
Christian was holding Ana in his lap and yelled, "Someone call the cops and get me a towel!!"
Elliot grabbed a towel and Carrick call the police. Lily was panicking about to leave edging her way to the door. Carrick shouted at her, "You step out of that door, Lily, and you will be charged for attempted murder! If you stay it will be only assault!" Elliot had a towel for Christian. Grace was trying to look at Ana's head injury. Mia was watching over Ana.
Mia said angry, "Daddy add thieft to that also. She stole my expensive makeup and over $700 in cash
Ana said softly to Christian and Grace, "Why is it always my head lately. I'm getting sleepy."
Grace said with authority, "Don't you go to sleep, Ana. You may have a concussion and it will make it worse if you do." Ana had a big gash up by her hairline about three inches long on the left side of her head. Christian switched out the towel for gauze.
Carrick said, "The police and ambulance are in the way."
When the ambulance arrived the bleeding had slowed down and Ana was still talking. They took her to the hospital and Christian followed in his car telling Taylor what happened. The police arrested Lily.
The hospital x-rayed Ana's head and found the skull was fine but dented, but she had another concussion and a nasty deep three inch laceration. The hospital contacted a cosmetic surgeon to do her stitches.
After surgery and Ana was coming out of recovery. Christian was waiting for her. They had her head bandaged and said they were going to keep her in the hospital for the next couple days to watch her concussion.
Christian was holding Ana's hand while she was unconscious. He said, "Baby, you need to improve your ducking skills. I'm so sorry you are the one who got hurt, but Mia broke that bitches nose afterward and she was arrested. You're going to be alright, Anastasia. I have something special for you. I'll be right here, while you're here. I love you, baby."
