AN: The last three chapters have been edited so you know.

After venturing deeper into Viridian Forest, our heroes went into a clearing to rest for a while. As soon as they did, Ash was now teaching Serena and Pikachu and Froakie and the young dinosaurs how to control their Aura Powers. First thing they did was a meditation section.

"Aura flows through your body as you focus enough energy through it. Find your inner peace and feel your Aura from within."

The section was working. All of them were feeling their Aura flow from within themselves. Soon after, their bodies were srounded with a blue glowing light which got conected to each other as they were close enough for that to happen.

Misty was watching their training and to say, it amazed her to see how Aura works. But as she was watching, she felt something slimy moving on her leg and when she looked down,

"AAAAAHHHHH! BUGS!"

The gang broke from their section the moment Misty screamed.

"Mmm. Ground Crawlers." Chomper said lisking his mouth.

"Cool. Caterpie." Ash said as he used his phone to scan one of them.

"Caterpie. The worm Pokemon. For protection, it releases a horrible stench from the antenna on its head to drive away enemies. Its short feet are tipped with suction pads that enable it to climb slopes and walls."

However, one of the Caterpie was a different color. It was pink instead of green.

"Hmm. Thatg's odd. Last time I checked, a shiny Caterpie is gold. Not pink." Said Serena.

"Let Mew have a go Serena." Ash said to her. "It'll be your first time letting her battle."

"Okay. Mew use Mega Punch!"

"Froakie! Use Water Gun!"

Doing as they were told, Mew gave one of the Caterpie her Mega Punch attack while Froakie used Water Gun on the other one.

"PokeBall go!" Ash shouted as tossed a PokeBall at the one Froakie went for.

"Here we go!" Serena shouted as she tossed one at the Caterpie that Mew went for.

Both balls hit the Caterpie and then both of them went inside. And then the balls shook three times and,

DING!

"Caterpie has been registered."

"Sweet. One more and you'll have a full team." Said Littlefoot.

"Yeah. One more." Said Ash.

"Did you two really have to capture them?" Misty asked.

"Uh, are you huted from them?" Ducky asked.

"No. I just don't like bugs. They're the most disgusting things in the world next to peppers and carrets."

"Uh, I wouldn't blam you if you hate bugs." Said Ash. "Also, I like peppers and carrets because vegtables are good for your helth. But maybe we can help you get over your fear on them."

"Don't tell me you're gonna do what I think you're gonna do."

Ash then let his Caterpie back out and when he was out, he started to craw up Misty's arm.

"AAAAAHHHHH! GET IT OFF ME! GET IT OFF ME!"

"Misty a Scardy Egg! Misty a Scardy Egg!" Petrie teased her. And that got her angry.

"I AM NOT A SCARDY EGG! I JUST DON'T LIKE BUGS!"

"That's what I'm trying to help you with." Said Ash as Petrie flew behind him in fear of Misty shouting at him. "Try and stay calm by meditating while Caterpie is on you."

"Why should I do that? I can't understand what Pokemon can say."

Ash sighed. This was gonna be tougher than he thought.

"Well then you no wanna see great giant bug that will fly in and eat you." Said Petire.

"Where?!" Misty shouted.

"Petrie are you making this up?" Cera asked.

"No. it real."

"You've seen it for yourself?" Serena asked.

"No but me Uncle Pterano know Leaf-eater who know flyer who know other Leaf-eater who know other flyer who saw it."

"Uncle Pterano? Oh please." Cera said annoyed.

"I know it sounds scary but you know it's not real." Said Littlefoot.

"Gosh. What did he do the last time you saw him?" Mew asked.

"It's a long story." Said Chomper.

"HELP!"

"That sounded like Mina." Said Cera.

"It is Mina!" Littlefoot said as he looked at where the sound came from. "And Fang's here too!"

And right behind the two Volociraptors was another bird like Pokemon.

"Whoa! They're being attacked by a Pidgeotto!" Ash shouted as he pulled his phone back out.

"Pidgeotto. The bird Pokemon. Pidgeotto is the evolved form of Pidgey. However, its kind and gentle nature is no more. This Pokemon is full of viality. It constantly flies around its large territory in search of pray."

Before Ash knew it, the Pidgeotto stopped chasing after Fang and Mina and then went after Caterpie instead. Making him jump off of Misty and run away.

"AAHH! Caterpie return!" Ash shouted as he tried to return his Caterpie.

But because of the Pidgeotto, Caterpie couldn't return because the beam kept missing him.

"It's too fast! You have no choice but to use Caterpie to battle it!" Misty shouted.

"I guess you're right. Caterpie use String Shot on that tree!"

Caterpie did as he was told and used String Shot to swing up and avoid the Pidgeotto. Only for another one to show up that almost got him but missed.

"It's two against one! Caterpie needs help!"

"Sakura go!" Serena shouted as she let her Caterpie out. "It's alright if I nickname you Sakura?"

Serena's Caterpie nodded happily as she liked the nickname.

"Quick! Ash's Caterpie needs help! Use String Shot on one of those Pidgeotto's!"

Sakura did as she was told and used String Shot on one of the Pidgeotto's. Allowing Ash's Caterpie to do so on the other. Until, another Pidgeotto came and freed them.

"Three against two." Misty said now worred. "What'll we do?"

Just then, a yellow worm Pokemon with a spike on its head showed up. It was a Weedle as she knew.

"Maybe Ash is right. I should let go of my fear." She said as she pulled out an empty Pokeball. "Here I go! Weddle should be weak enough to catch!"

With one toss, the ball hit Weedle and it went inside. And then the ball shook three times and,

DING!

"Yes! Alright now Weedle, come on out and use String Shot!"

And then, Weedle came out and used String Shot on one of the Pidgeotto's. Allowing the Caterpie's to do so with the others and then use the string to slam the three Pidgeotto's onto the ground.

"Alright! Now use Poison Sting!"

"Caterpie! Use Bug Bite!" Ash shouted.

"You too Sakura!" Serena shouted at Sakura.

All three bugs use Bug Bite and Poison Sting on the three Pidgeotto's. And finally, three were knocked out as their eyes got swirlly.

"We did it!" Ash and Serena cheared as they hugged each other. Only for them to look at each other and blush nervusly.

Just then, the three bugs used String Shot, on themselves all over their bodies. And then the stirng broke off. Revealing,

"Metapod and Kakuna." Said Ash. But it amazed him that Sakura remained pink when she evolved.

"Thanks for the help." Said Fang. "We were lost and before we knew it, we ended up hitting that thing and it chased us all over this place."

"Fang. Mina." Said Chomper. "Where's Strongtooth and Spiny?"

"We got seporated." Said Mina.

"Anyway, good to see you guys are alright." Said Fang. "But where are we anyway?"

"Let me explain." Said Ash.

After a long walk and explaining, our heroes found a place to rest for the night. Littlefoot asked Ash if humans eat meat in which he said was true but neither one of the young dinosaurs said anything against it because Chopmer and Fang and Mina were nice Sharpteeth so they knew Ash would never hurt them.

Fang and Mina were amazed about what Aura was and how it's used. However, they couldn't understand what Pikachu and Froakie and Mew were saying. Which means they were not Aura users.

"Hey guys. Does this green food teast farmillier?" Littlefoot asked as he ate a bush.

"I'll say." Said Cera. "It teasts just like the green food we ate when we found Strongtooth living on that island."

"Uh, what was it?" Ash asked over hearing what Cera had said.

"Maybe we should start at the beginning." Said Littlefoot.

Littlefoot then told Ash about when he was younger. His family met Chomper's parents who were leading a herd of Two-claws that lived by a code to never hearm Leaf-eaters from what Chomper's father, named Bowser, leanred from his own father and then Chomper hatching from his egg and seeing that the Sharpteeth were not harming them.

Then he told Ash about the very first adventure they had together after more Longnecks and Two-claws joined up with the families. They were looking for The Great Valley. Cera then jumped in and told them how they met.

"Whoa. That's quite a father you got there." Said Serena as Cera told them what Topps had said to her.

"It was the old ways. Back then, no different speceas of dinosaurs did anything together."

Then came the part about The Great Sharptooth who killed both Littlefoot's mother and Chomper's mother. All the way to when they found The Great Valley.

"The Great Valley. Not that we'll ever see it again." Said Littlefoot.

"Maybe not." Said Ash. "But sometimes, things change for the best. So even if you don't like it, you have to except what The Great Circle of Life hands us."

"How do you know about the circle of life?" Cera asked.

"I don't know much of it but I do know of it."

"And Grandma sang me a lulliby about it." Littlefoot said remembering when his grandfather had fallen ill.

"Hey. Speeking of," Ash said as he turned to Serena. "You said that you remember a lullibye that your mother sang to you when you were little. Right?"

"I do remember Ash. I would have sang it in camp but you found me soon after I fell."

"What was it?" Misty asked.

"Well, my mom always sang me this song whenever I felt down or scared. Here's how it goes."

Everyone gathered up to listen as Serena began her song.

Don't lose your way.

Littlefoot was very touched by Serena's song. His mother also sang this song to him before Sharptooth killed her along with Chomper's mother.

Pikachu and Froakie felt relaxed from Serena's singing. It felt like they were flying above the clouds. However, they and the others saw that Mew had fallen alseep from her song.

"I think she has the right idea." Said Ash as he put out the campfire. "We better get some sleep. We'll continue our way to Pewter City and finish our aura training in the morning."

Ash and Serena and Misty went inisde their tents with their Pokemon and went to sleep while the young dinosaurs staied outside.

"Do not worry Spike." Ducky said to him. 'We will find our families before we even know it. Yes we will."

After saying good night, all of them went to sleep as the journey continues in the morning.

I always listened to If We Hold On Together at the end of the first Land Before Time movie. So why not include the songs with different variations as the story goes on?

Anyway, it's true that normal animals co-exist with Pokemon. In Pokemon Scarlet, the PokeDex entry for Greavard revealed that it was said that a dog had died in the wild and was reborn as that Pokemon. So despite there being dinosaur Pokemon, the dinosaurs of The Land Before Time are normal dinosaurs co-existing along side the Pokemon. Don't worry. PokeBalls won't work on normal animals like Littlefoot and his friends. They only work on Pokmeon.
