Chapter 15

We are now at the National Park, a place that is said to hold the Bug Catching Contest. Lillie says, "Since today is Tuesday, which means there's going to be a Bug Catching Contest this afternoon!"

"Bug Catching Contest sounds fun." I say. "Since we're still here, how about we do some training first?"

We all nod in agreement, and then we start to train our Pokemon. Oddish evolves into Gloom when training and Lillie asks, "You know, with the Pokeathlon yesterday, we did get a lot of evolution stones. How about we try to use them?"

"Sure, we do have Sun Stones." I say while using one on Gloom, and it evolves into a Bellossom in the end.

Blossom: The Flower Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Gloom with a Sun Stone. Bellossom gather at times and appear to dance. They say that the dance is a ritual to summon the sun.

"A ritual to summon the sun...that sounds amazing." Reisa says.

"I know what you mean." East says. Then a Pokemon notices how we use the Sun Stone to evolve our Gloom, it comes to me.

"That's a Sunkern...it must have seen how you evolve your Gloom and it wants to do it as well." I say.

"You're right. How about you try to capture this Pokemon? Ash? That way, you can use your Sun Stone."

I nod as I use the Sun Stone on the Pokemon, after it becomes a Sunflora, I capture it in the end.

Sunkern: The Seed Pokemon: Grass Type. It lives by drinking only dewdrops from under the leaves of plants. It is said that it eats nothing else.

Sunflora: The Sun Pokemon: Grass Type. Evolved from Sunkern with a Sun Stone. In the daytime, it rushes about in a hectic manner, but it comes to a complete stop when the sunsets.

When the afternoon is approaching, we are surprised to see who joins us. "Brother! Lillie! Reisa! East!"

"Insey!" I am surprised to see my sister coming towards us. "Long time no see."

"Same here, Yellow told me that she met you at the Pokeathladon. So I was wondering if I could find you around here." Insey says.

"So are you and Tracy a thing yet?" I decide to tease her, and she blushes before giving me a slap. "Rude..."

Ethan asks, "So what's going on here?"

East says, "Oh, Kris, Ethan, this is Insey, she is Ash's sister."

"You mean, other than Leaf? You have multiple siblings?" Kris asks.

"Of course." I say. "So I assume you're here for the Bug Catching Contest?"

"You bet." Insey says. "I'm striving to be the Bug Type Master, of course, I'm going to take part in the contest. I assume you're going to participate as well?"

"Well, considering I got almost all the ones that can be caught here... I think we'll pass." I say.

"Hi, guys!" And much to our surprise, Casey and her Chikorita have come to greet us.

"Casey! It's you!" Lillie says.

"I bet you're also trying to take part in the contest, right?" Casey asks.

"Actually, only my sister is participating." I say.

After introducing Insey to her, she says, "Your Chikorita looks pretty strong."

"Since the last time I saw you guys, we've been on a winning streak just like my favorite baseball team. The good old Electabuzz!"

"That sounds like you're still a big fan." Reisa says.

"I sure him. I'll even sing the new fight song for the season!" Casey says. "I'm also going with my winning streak by catching a new Bug Type Pokemon."

"Well, you're not beating me." Insey says. "I'm going to be the future Bug Master and I'm not going to lose with Bug Type Pokemon."

Then we decide to leave them while sitting in front of the screen looking at Insey and Casey competing together. Although Insey tries to capture the Weedle, only for Casey to get it first. Insey protests at first, but then she decides to go with another Pokemon.

We also notice Casey is tiring Chikorita by battling a lot of Bug Pokemon, Insey tries to stop her, but she doesn't listen.

"Alright, time for some extreme measures. Beedrill!" Insey tosses it and then uses it to battle Scyther instead of Chikorita. Then she just runs while letting Scyther chase after her.

We also notice Casey's Chikorita goes missing. Lillie says, "Hey, where's Togetic?"

"Look over there!" We notice Togetic on the screen and we gasp, "What is he doing there?"

We decide to chase after Togetic until we find Casey scolding Chikorita. "At least someone knows when to quit." I say to Casey with a disappointed tone.

"There you are, Togetic." Lillie says while hugging the Pokemon.

"What do you mean?" Casey says to me. I reply, "What is important to you? Winning contest? Or the well-being of your Pokemon?"

"How could you even ask me that?!" Casey protests. "My Pokemon means everything to me!"

"Well if that's true, then you should have known that Chikorita is exhausted, but you only focused on winning that you couldn't even notice it." Kris replies.

Then she realizes her mistake and Chikorita comes back to her. Just then, we hear a cry from Insey, and we notice that she's trapped in a cage thanks to Team Rocket.

"Insey!" I gasp. "You guys again!"

Insey says, "Seriously? Are they still chasing after you? How dumb can they get?"

"Who are you calling dumb?" The trio yells.

"You guys, of course, nobody in Team Rocket would try to bother us 312 times without quitting." I sigh.

They try to catch Pikachu with the giant net, but Casey's Chikorita stops them and evolves into Bayleef, using the Razor Leaf to destroy the cage and then we send them flying.

In the end, Insey wins with the Beedrill, and before we leave, Insey decides to give Beedrill because she wants to thank her for saving her. Then we decide to bid farewell to both Insey and Casey while continuing our journey.

After heading east, we get to Route 36, and we find some odd trees and a girl, she says, "I'm the Flower Shop's Floria! Listen, listen! When I sprinkled water on that wiggly tree, it jumped right up! It just has to be a Pokemon. If you soaked it.."

"We got the Squirt Bottle." We show the girl the Squirtbottle and she says, "Soak the trees for me! I want to see what happens."

As we do it, the trees turn out to be Sudowoodos, and they start to run away. "Hey! Come back here!"

Before we can chase after the Sudowoodo, the girl says, "That was fun. I want to give you this for entertaining me."

She gives us the Berry Pots, which are handy containers for cultivating Berries wherever we go. After accepting them, she says, "With the Berry Pots, you can grow any Berry from any region with no worries! That's right! I'll give you some berries, too!"

Then we get 3 Oran Berries and 3 Pecha Berries in the end, and we bid farewell to the girl, who is leaving back to Goldenrod City.

"We still need to chase after them." I say as we chase after the Sudowoodo. We arrived at a lab and met a man and a woman in laboratory coats. They called themselves Pierre and Marie. They explain that they are up in the mountains to work on a research paper about the local habitat and the Sudowoodo.

They are arguing about their knowledge of Sudowoodo, so we decide to capture them and help them out. We use Noctowl to search, and we eventually find one. Although Sudowoodo uses what seems to be Vine Whip, after Bellossom deflects it, the vines turn out to be the vines from the nearby trees.

After helping them with their hypothesis, Team Rocket appears and they capture two Sudowoodo in nets. They also escape by using Weezing's Smokescreen, so we decide to chase after them. After a while, we find two Sudowoodo who are hiding from Team Rocket, this time, Ethan and I capture the two Pokemon and feed them with food.

Sudowoodo: The Imitation Pokemon: Rock Type. Evolved from Bonsly when leveled up while knowing Mimic. Although it always pretends to be a tree, its composition appears to be closer to a rock than a plant.

After that, we get the two Sudowoodo to the lab, Marie still wants to see if Sudowoodo can use Vine Whip, but Sudowoodo can't do them. But it can use Wood Hammer and Copycat. Although Pierre wants to prove that it is a Rock Type by spraying water, which causes them to try to escape. Good thing we managed to get them back into the Pokeball before they could do it.

Team Rocket appears once more and they still want to get the Sudowoodo, but we use Quagsire to send them flying using Muddy Water. Now that their questions are solved, we bid them farewell and leave them to continue their arguing. Ethan also decides to name his Sudowoodo Sudobo.

Then we go towards a forest, we encounter a trainer with an Ariados. She says, "My name is Aya. I am sorry for the mess my Ariados made."

"It is fine. Are you a ninja?" East asks.

"Yes. I trained with my brother Koga for years."

"Koga, one of the Elite 4?" Kris asks, to which Aya nods.

I say, "We just met him a few days ago. I assume you also know Janine?"

"Oh, you met my niece. I guessed that you challenged her gym and won, huh?"

"Yes. It was a tough one, but I made it somehow."

Aya takes us to the Pokemon Jujitsu Academy, where we can be a ninja for a day. Lillie and I do a great job in the classes, we also catch Sensei's attention. We reveal that we've been training with the International Police and the Rangers with the skills. Then Team Rocket comes and tries to steal the Pokemon, so we work together and battle them. It is during the battle that our Spinarak evolves into an Ariados.

Ariados: The Long Leg Pokemon: Bug and Poison Type. Evolved from Spinarak at LV:22. A single strand of a special string is endlessly spun out of its rear. The string leads back to its nest.

The Sensei thanks us for our help, and promises us a place in his Dojo should we ever return.

Then we see a group of Smeargle in the White Town who are painting the white wall, much to the townspeople's annoyance. So my friends and I decided to help out, I captured the main head and then led the others back to the forest, as for the white walls, they were cleaned with the rain.

Smeargle: The Painter Pokemon: Normal Type. The color of the mysterious fluid secreted from its tail is predetermined for each Smeargle.

And while on our way, we find two Natu. Kris wants to capture the Pokemon, so she uses Megaree to battle, Lillie also uses Flaaffy to battle.

"Now is your chance! Kris!" Ethan yells.

"No need to tell me." Kris then places the Pokeball on the floor and then kicks it, causing the ball to fly toward Natu. It shakes 3 times before a ding.

"Yeah, I caught a Natu." Kris says happily.

Reisa asks, "Kris, what was that move? I hadn't seen you kick the Pokeball like that…"

"Oh, my mom taught me, I trained soccer when I was young." Kris replies.

"So what does your mom look like?" I ask, but both Ethan and Kris then feel embarrassed.

"I'd rather not say about her…I only can say she is childish in any way." Ethan says.

East, Reisa, and I raise an eyebrow at this, then we decide to say nothing. Kris also names her Natu Xatee.

As for Lillie, she manages to capture the Flaaffy in the end. She cheers, "I caught it as well!"

Natu: The Tiny Bird Pokemon: Psychic and Flying Type. It is extremely good at climbing tree trunks and likes to eat the new sprouts on the trees.

"Since we manage to find Natu here, that means we're close to Ruins of Alph." Lillie says.

"You're right. Let's explore the place." I say as we all head there.

Here is a new chapter, and Ash and Lillie manage to evolve and capture more Pokemon. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be my version of the third movie.
