Chapter 12: Talon Company and Unexpected Rescue!

Goki was walking towards the subway exit somewhat dizzy because she still felt sick after being exposed to radiation.

"Well, well, but look what we have here."

Our beloved protagonist slowly looked up from the ground where she encountered four guys in black combat armor with a white colored logo on the left chest, these men were armed with laser rifles pointed at her.

"Eh...? Who are you?" asked Goki with an expression between confused and curious because the armor of the four men was similar to the one worn by Vegeta, but obviously with another type of material and style.

The mercenaries ignored the woman's question and instead ran their gaze over the latter's voluptuous body as if it were some kind of piece of meat.

"It really is a complete pity..."

The woman with black spiky hair in the shape of a palm tree had an imaginary question mark above her head at the words of what appeared to be the leader of the group; a guy with dark brown hair and green eyes.

"Maybe we could sell her as a sex slave in Paradise Falls?"

This time the female Saiyan changed her confused expression to a serious one because that question from one of the leader's henchmen made her mind click to realize that these guys are bad guys.

"Yeah, surely Eulogy will give us VIP passes for life for taking this cutie."

Goki ignored the rest of the three guys' comments which went from bad to worse and their laughter only caused his anger to rise even more, so he again started moving and made his way at a slow pace to the nearest man within reach.

"Hey! Hold still-"

{Punch!}

The punch from the charcoal-dark-eyed woman was so strong (for a human) that it caused the man's body to explode in a shower of blood, flesh and bone.

"W-What the hell!"

Both mercenaries were in shock as they watched their leader explode (literally) in front of their eyes... Such was their fear that they almost peed their pants, but somehow, they managed to recover thanks to their training.

"You fucking bitch! Now you'll see-"

{Punch! X2}

Just like their boss moments before, the two remaining guys exploded into a bloody mass... She thanked Kami-sama that Brayan didn't accompany her because he would have seen what she had done.

"..."

A straight line formed in Goki's mouth at the horrible sight she had caused... Even some blood splattered on his clothes; he would have to go back to Megaton to take a bath and change Gi, again.

"... Perverts."

After that, she flew off without looking back in the direction of the most important settlement in Wasteland Capital after Rivet City.

Near Goki-Kakaroko

The Ojobot compiled every detail of the short fight between the 'anomaly' and the mercenaries, but another mission was also activated for him and this one was to find some hair or sample of the woman of superhuman strength to take to Raven Rock to be thoroughly analyzed in the lab by Enclave scientists.

"Looking for samples...'Bib'... 'Bib'... Negative."

The robot again followed his main mission and went after Goki, trying to keep up with him.

Elsewhere

A certain Enclave officer was looking at the reports of the last few hours and couldn't believe all that woman had done in such a short time.

"This is disturbing..."

Colonel Autumn looked at one of the videos of the 'anomaly' dodging a laser rifle shot.

"It's too dangerous not only for the future of the Enclave, but also the entire world."

The man dressed in a gray trench coat scratched his head with his right hand in a demonstration of his great frustration.

"Don't be hasty, Colonel. I remember we still have several aces up our sleeves."

Autumn was aware of the experiments being done on the Deathclaws they had captured from Old Olney and was still exceptional because he wasn't sure that experiment would be completed in time.

"I know, Mr. President. But it's risky, you know this woman is not a Deathclaw or an ordinary Supermutant... She is something else."

It took a few seconds for the artificial intelligence to respond to the words of his 'right hand man'.

"I understand your concerns, Colonel. But I'm 92.05% sure we can capture her, obviously as long as you follow my directions."

The Enclave officer almost rolled his eyes at those results, but he had to accept the machine's words anyway because after all the latter is the President of the United States... Therefore, he ducked his head a little and said a 'Yes, sir'.

With David

Our beloved 101st shelter dweller looked at the supposed leader of the Family with a frown.

"You're the one causing trouble for the people of Arefu?"

Vance didn't like the tone of the young man in the jumpsuit from shelter 101 and for the latter reason he let him in because he didn't see him as a serious threat, so he deduced that he could reason with him.

"Be careful with your accusations, kid... And no, that's a misunderstanding."

David was silent letting the guy continue.

"Look... We can start again like civilized people; my name is Vance."

The blond haired young man looked for a second at the guy's hand.

"David."

The 'vampire' leader nodded his head, satisfied because this was a breakthrough, small, but a breakthrough after all.

"Well, David... Do you happen to know what that earthquake was about an hour ago?"

The blue-eyed young man mentally patted his face at the 'vampire's' question.

"Yeah... well... about that..."

David began to explain to him that some cars had exploded because of a group of looters and this had caused a series of very loud explosions, obviously he never mentioned Goki for more than obvious reasons... he just hoped that Goki's exploits would remain rumors because he didn't know how other people or groups (like, for example, the Brotherhood of Steel) would react when they knew the truth about Goki.

At the Same Time

Before reaching Megaton, our beloved protagonist stopped at the banks of the Potomac River and this was because of what happened a moment ago with a certain group of mercenaries.

"...W-Why...? Why did she feel so different?" muttered Goki to herself as she looked down at her right hand, which began to tremble slightly.

The reason for such a disturbed state was that it was the first time she had killed a human... Well, the group of looters from the Super Cool Stores didn't count because they didn't die gruesomely like the mercenaries, he killed with his own hands a while ago.

Help... Somebody... Please...

The black-haired woman with palm-shaped spiky hair immediately came out of that state because she heard some voices, children's voices asking for help; in the blink of an eye, she appeared in front of a cage with several poorly dressed and frightened people... But she felt someone with bad intentions close to her, very close.

"W-what-?"

Goki's punch was different from the other mercenaries because the slaver ended up being pulverized and no trace (blood, bones or flesh) was left of him.

Two boys and a girl: Sammy, Squirrel (his real name is Peter) and Penny were dumbfounded as they witnessed first hand the woman's brute strength.

"Are you okay, children?" asked Goki once she saw that for the moment there were no enemies near their position, therefore, she focused her concern on the children.

The children watched with fascination at the woman in striking orange with blue clothing and ended up nodding their heads quickly, but the same could not be said for the adults who froze in their places totally terrified at the woman with not at all normal strength.

"Well..." Goki paused slightly with the intention of analyzing his surroundings. "Wait here, first I have to get rid of the bad guys and then I'll come back to set you free," she promised the children and adults behind bars, who in response again nodded their heads and their eyes reflected a glimmer of hope at the possibility of being free.

To the astonishment of those present, the woman with the exotic black spiky hair in the shape of a palm tree disappeared as if she had never been there and almost a second later a series of rather striking noises began to be heard... as if it were a person throwing punches into the water, but these were louder and somewhat strange.

She is a superheroine ... Yes... like in the comics ... She's like Grognak, but female ...

The adults watched with amazement and curiosity what the three children were saying, but not even 10 seconds passed when a certain woman appeared again.

"Ready," said Goki with a smile and forming the typical peace sign (than his male version) with his right hand.

Those present froze at the sight of the woman because this one was stained with fresh blood.

"They are free." Goki with the same smile as he ripped off the barred door as if it were a mere twig.

Both the children and adults did not move from their place and continued to stare at the woman in orange with blue (now crimson) clothing.

"Eh... What's wrong?" asked Goki with a confused expression and saw that the humans were looking at her body, especially her blood-stained clothes. "Oh... That... Well, it was already dirty with the other guys' blood anyway..." she muttered with a hint of annoyance, good thing her Gi wasn't destroyed because otherwise she would have been naked again.

Sammy, Squirrel and Penny were the first to come out of shock and almost immediately ran towards their savior, though keeping their distance because they didn't want to get stained with the blood of the guys who had held them captive.

She's like Grognak! ... Yes, she's very strong! ... And very brave!

Goki watched with a confused expression as the two boys and the girl jumped with excitement around him, plus that male name (that Sammy, Squirrel and Penny said) caught her attention.

"Grog...nak?" she said with a nod and at the same time searched her memory for said name in case she had heard it around, but no, she didn't recognize it at all. "Who is he?"

The three children stopped jumping for joy and instead looked at the woman who saved them with horror/surprise, but this lasted a few seconds as they quickly looked at each other and smiled knowingly.

Meanwhile, the adults watched the whole scene not knowing what to do and also not knowing how to react to something so unusual, but this they had to put aside and concentrate on finding new clothes (and taking off the rags they had been given by the slavers), weapons and ammunition because at any moment another group (or patrol) of slavers could drop into Paradise Falls.

At the same time

A man in a mercenary outfit was hiding in the basement of his business, he had blocked the entrance with everything he could or was within reach (boxes of ammunition, an old refrigerator and even a shopping cart full of cans of food).

"She's a demon... S-She's a fucking demon..."

Pronto clutched his head with both hands in an attempt to muffle the sounds of explosions, but it wasn't just any explosion sound, this sounded very different, like a bomb or a gunshot. No... this was even more disturbing than the aforementioned.

"Damn... I should have left as soon as I could..."

Fresh tears began to slide down the cheeks of the gun store owner.

"... I could have followed my dream of being a great Chef in Rivet City."

Pronto stared anxiously at the door, out of options, he did something he never thought he would do in his life. He prayed and prayed. He clasped both hands in front of his face and began to say prayers in the hope that someone would hear him.

"Great Atom... Please save me from this... I promise to leave this life and be a good person..."

Note: Sorry if this chapter was too short, but lately I've been very busy with work. Besides, I don't have many ideas with my stories. But rest assured that I won't abandon this story, I promise.

PS: By the way, Monday September 4th is my birthday... another year older x'D.
