Chapitre 1 : Not-So-Happy Campers

"Yo, we're live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Ontario's Muskoka region! A man in his thirties addresses the camera. He has wavy black hair, bright eyes and is dressed like a camp counselor.
"I'm your host, Chris McLean! I'm launching the season of one of the hottest new reality shows on television right now! Chris steps up to the dock, still talking to the camera.
"Here's the story: twenty-two teenagers have signed up to spend eight weeks at this crappy old summer camp. They'll take part in a series of tests, then be judged by their fellow campers. Every two days or so, one team will win a prize, while the other will see one of its members go down to the dock of shame, board the losers' boat and leave Total Drama Island for good!
The scene has shifted to show Chris around a campfire.
"Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremony, where every third day, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow. Chris grabs a stick with an unroasted marshmallow at the end and eats it.
"In the end, only one camper will be left standing and rewarded with tabloid fame and a small fortune that, let's be honest, will probably be lost in a week's time. To survive, they'll have to contend with black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food and against each other. Every moment will be filmed by one of the hundreds of cameras positioned around the camp and the island. "The scene then returns to Chris on the dock.
"Who's going to crumble under the pressure? Who will go all the way? Find out here, now, on TOTAL... DRAMA... ISLAND!
After the introductory song, we see Chris back on the dock.
"Welcome to the island of total drama! It's time to meet our campers! We told them they'd be staying at a five-star resort. If any of them seem a little upset, it's probably for this reason," Chris explains to the audience with a mischievous grin.
The first boat arrives near the Dock of Shame and drops off a very pretty brunette girl. She's wearing black leggings and a beige sweater with purple stripes.
"Hi Chris, I'm so happy to be here, tell me where the posh hotel is that you promised us," says Sky.
"You'll laugh, but there is no hotel and you'll be sleeping in cabins," Chris replies.
"That was too good to be true," says Sky.
Sky looks away and heads for the end of the dock of shame.
The next boat arrived and dropped off a very tall girl wearing an Australian hat. She was wearing an explorer's outfit
"Hello Jasmine, how are you?" said Chris in a friendly tone.
"Hello Chris, you're shorter in life than you are on TV," said Jasmine.
"Say, this island looks a lot like my island in Australia," says Jasmine.
"Good news for you, this is where you'll be living for the next 8 weeks," says Chris.
She walks to the end of the Dock of Shame and waves to Sky.
The next boat arrived and dropped off a tall, muscular boy. He wore a green sweater, blue jeans and black boots. He planted himself in front of Chris, standing at attention.
"Private Brick MacArthur at your service, sir," Brick said.
"At ease soldiers, this isn't the army, this is reality TV and we shouldn't be divulging private information like this" said Chris.
"Forgive me Chris, I won't make the same mistake again," says Brick.
He picks up his suitcase and sits down next to Sky and Jasmine, whom he greets.
The next boat arrived near the Dock of Shame and a guy dressed as a magician walked over.
"Hello Leonard, how are you?" said Chris.
"Hello Chris, glad to see my wizarding skills are recognized," said Leonard.
"You'll laugh, you're not here for your wizarding skills, you're here because you were the last choice," Chris laughed.
"Whatever, as long as I'm here, that's fine with me," says Leonard as he heads for the end of Dock of Shame.
The next boat arrived with another candidate and he got off. A little boy with brown skin. He was wearing a blue sweater and brown pants. His hair was short and black
"Hi Chris, did you say you got the note from my doctor listing all my allergies," said the young man.
"Yes, of course, Dave," Chris replied.
This isn't supposed to be a luxury hotel," Dave explains.
"Is that right, soldier, are you disappointed?" says Brick.
"No," says Dave with a very forced smile and rubbing his arms nervously.
Dave approaches the other candidates and finds Leonard very strange.
Another boat dropped off another candidate, tall and very muscular. He had brown hair. He was wearing a green sweater with a D written on it and shorts
"Hello Dj," said Chris.
"Chris Mclean! How are you? " said Dj, giving Chris a "have five".
"And are you sure this is your show? Where's the spa?" says Dj.
"No, brother, this is the right address: camp Wawanakwa," says Chris.
"On the entry form, it looked cooler," says Dj as he joins the other contestants.
The next boat arrived and dropped off the next candidate near the dock of shame. A boy who wore a white swite and blue jeans. He had curly horses, was quite tall and had black hair. He had brown skin ( It's my OC)
"Hello Idris, how are you?" said Chris.
"Hello, I'm glad to meet you," said the young man as he walked to the end of the Dock of Shame.
"Hello soldier, how are you?" said Brick.
"I'm fine, brother, and so are you," said Idris.
"They also shook hands with Dave. Idris felt intimidated by Jasmine but saluted anyway.
Another boat arrives and two girls get off. Both are blond and wear cheerleading uniforms. They both look the same, except that one of them has a mole on her cheek.
"Don't walk in front of me, Samey," says the young girl.
"Hello Amy and Samey," says Chris.
"And my name is Sammy," says Sammy.
"But your sister told me everyone calls you Samey," says Chris.
Sammy is speechless.
"Because you're the last one," says Chris.
"Yes, but... ", says Sammy.
"We're going to call you Samey," says Chris.
Sammy tries to speak, but Chris won't let her. As they approach the other contestants, Idris looks at Sammy, which makes her blush.
Another boat arrives and drops off a young goth girl. She has white skin, short hair and blue eyes.
"Wait, tell me we're not staying here," says Gwen.
"I'm not staying, but you are, I'll be at the hotel with the technical crew," says Chris.
Yes, well, I'm not staying here," says Gwen, annoyed.
"Okay, but I hope you can swim," he says, turning and seeing the boat leave to pick up his luggage and head for the end of the Dock of Shame.
"Bloody host," said Gwen.
After Gwen arrived, a puck sounded in the distance. There was a boy on it. He was wearing an Iroquois crest. He wore a black sweater with a skull and crossbones and blue pants.
"Duncan! Are you all right?" said Chris.
"I hate surprises," said Duncan.
"Yeah, that's what your probation officer told me, he also told me to contact him whenever I wanted to take you back to your cell," said Chris.
"Okay, I'll stay," said Duncan.
"I'll meet you at the campfire," Duncan tells Amy.
"I'd rather die," said Amy.
"You've got some nice piercings, did you do them yourself?" says Dave.
"Yes, do you want me to make you one? " says Duncan, grabbing Dave's lip.
"No, that's okay! You can give me my lip back, please," says David. Duncan finally let go of David's lip.
Another boat arrived and dropped off a boy with glasses, he had a bit of weight and the beginnings of a beard.
"Welcome to camp, Sam," Chris said.
He didn't listen because he was playing on his console.
"I see the problem," Chris said. He takes Sam's console and puts it in his pocket.
"Give me back my console," says Sam.
"Sorry, consoles aren't allowed in the camp, you'll get them back after the competition," says Chris.
"But how am I going to survive without my three hours of daily gaming?
"You're a big boy, I'm sure you'll manage," says Chris.
Sam picks up his folder and heads off to join the other candidates.
"Great, a nerd, I'll finally get to have some fun here," Duncan said.
Idris took a step back at Duncan's words.
A boat dropped off another candidate. He had a cap, was tall and wore a black jacket.
"Hi B how are you?" said Chris.
B gave a thumbs-up.
"You're not very talkative" said Chris.
B gave another thumbs-up, looked around and saw no hotel.
"You're wondering where the hotel is, there isn't one" says Chris.
B raises his shoulders and joins the other candidates.
Hello Chris," says a mysterious girl
AH! But how did you get here," says Chris.
"I took a shortcut" said the mystery girl.
"Friends, this is Dawn" says Chris.
"Hello everyone" said Dawn as she approached the other candidates.
"Your aura is a powerful green that suits you" said Dawn to B
"Hey everyone, Leshawna's in the house," says a girl in the distance.
"Yo baby! I'm good," says Leshawna in a hive of five from Chris.
"If you want to retire and save yourself, do it! Because I'm in it to win it," says Leshawna.
"How are you all, you've got a big smile on your face," Leshawna says to Dj.
"I've never seen a girl like you in real life" says Sam.
"What?" says Leshawna.
"You're imposing and you never stop talking" says Sam.
"What did you say to me? I'm dreaming or something," says Leshawna.
"You haven't seen it yet! You're going to see the big one, baby!" says Leshawna.
Leshawna is about to run to Sam, but Dj and Sky hold her back.
"Relax, guys! Calm down," says Chris.
Another boat dropped off another boy
He was tall, wore overalls and had red hair.
"Hello Rodney," said Chris.
"Hi Chris, I can't wait for the masseuse to give me a massage," said Rodney.
"Speaking of which, there's no hotel or spa," said Chris.
"I got screwed again," says Rodney.
"At least there are girls," says Rodney as he heads toward the other contestants.
The girls look at him strangely, as his words are rather inappropriate.
"Brother, you shouldn't say things like that out loud, it can sound sexist," says Brick.
"Oh, I'm sorry girls, I didn't mean to sound like a pervert," Rodney apologizes.
"It's okay, we'll forgive you this time," says Jasmine.
Hearing this, Rodney turns red and grins widely.
Another boat arrived and dropped off another boy.
He had dark skin, afro hair and a big stain on his sweater.
"Hey Beardo, how's it going buddy," said Chris.
"DING!
"Uh... Okay, I'll take that as a yes" said Chris.
"Validation noise"
"Okay. Then I'll tell you one thing, don't talk too much and maybe you won't be eliminated too soon" says Chris.
The next boat dropped off a young blonde girl with a surfboard in her hand. She was wearing a blue sweater and jean shorts.
"Hey, what's up?" said Bridgette.
"Bridgette! Our surf queen has arrived!" said Chris.
"Nice board! This ain't Malibu, baby," says Duncan.
"I thought we'd be near the beach," says Bridgette.
"But we are! " says Chris, pointing to the beach full of trash.
"Great!" says Bridgette.
While picking up those suitcases, Bridgette takes off with her surfboard and places herself next to the other candidates, almost colliding with them in turn.
Another boat arrives but drops off no candidates.
"Where are the candidates?" asks Chris.
A box was thrown from the boat.
Chris opened it but saw the last thing he expected.
"DIE ZOMBIE" said a boy.
Chris managed to dodge his punch.
"Calm down Shawn, there are no zombies," said Chirs.
"We can't be sure they're everywhere," says Shawn.
"Okay, now go stand next to the other candidates.
"Never! They may already be infected," says Shawn.
Another boat arrived and dropped off another boy.
He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans and had red hair.
"Hi Scott, how are you?" said Chris.
"Don't talk to me, just tell me where the SPA is," replied Scott.
"As you can see, there's no SPA at the hotel," replies Chris.
"The weather's better, I hate big hotels," says Scott.
"Funny guy," says Dave to Idris.
"Yeah, you're right," says Idris.
"What did you say?" says Scott, who hears Dave.
"Nothing important," says Dave.
"Attention: this is Izzy" said Chris
"Hello Chris! Hello everyone. Hello!" said Izzy.
Trying to get out of the boat, she tripped and hit her jaw on the floor.
"Ooh, she must have hurt herself!" said Idris.
"I don't know if any of my spells will be able to save her," said Leonard.
Jasmine jumped to Izzy's rescue and pulled her out of the water.
"What a feeling... it's so good! Except my hair's a mess, is this summer camp? Oh, but it's great! How about some food? "says Izzy
"Okay, guys, here's the last candidate."
A small boy, very small, wearing a jacket and purple hair.
"Max, sorry, I didn't see you," says Chris.
"Evil doesn't shake hands," says Max.
Max looks at the other candidates.
"Hello slaves, you are in the presence of evil itself".
Many of the candidates laugh
"Laugh all you want, but the world will be mine," says Max.
Once all the candidates had arrived, Chris wanted to take a photo with everyone on the boat and took one, except he forgot to delete the second photo attempt, the memory was full. Duncan began to lose patience, once the memory card was full, he took the photo, but the dock of shame broke, but Chris didn't take another.
Once the contestants had dried off, Chris told them to meet by the fire: "This is Wawanakwa, this is where you're going to live for the next eight weeks, the contestants here will become your roommates, your competitors and maybe your friends, you know what I mean, whoever stays in Total Drama the longest."
«Excuse me. How can we arrange the choice of beds, because I have to admit it would be cool if I slept under her bed," Duncan said, looking at Amy.
"I hope these aren't mixed dorms?" said Amy.
"No, there are two dormitories in each cabin: one for boys and one for girls," says Chris.
"Oh, come comrades, it'll be just like the army," says Brick, picking up Idris and Dave.
"Oh, Brick, I can't breathe," say Idris and Dave.
'So I'm going to form two teams and when I say your name, you'll go to my left, Samey, Jasmine, Izzy, Leshawna, Sam, Scott, Beardo, B, Max, Amy, and Rodney now, everyone will call you... The Screaming Gophers " said Chris
"Wait a minute, I'm on the same team as Amy," says Sammy.
The candidates I didn't call are Brick, Dave, Duncan, Dj, Gwen, Leonard, Sky, Shawn, Bridgette, Dawn and Idris, the team name will be... The Killer Bass," says Chris.
"Alright campers, you and your team will be followed by our cameras in all public spaces during the competition" says Chris.
Confessionnel : Chris

"Okay. This game sucks.

"So, this is my team? ... Okay, how did I get on a team with all these crazies?"
Confessional: Sammy
"I did Total Drama because I wanted to get away from Amy and I end up on the same team as her. Why is life unfair?
Confessional: Shawn
"In my head, I'm always running from zombies. And if you don't, you're crazy!
End of confession
"After Chris's presentation, the contestants entered their cabins.
"Bunk beds? That doesn't sound like summer camp," says Amy.
"That's the whole point of the idea," says Gwen.
Hey, goth, didn't I tell you," says Amy.
"Where are the showers? I need to plug in my straightening iron," says Amy.
"There are some in the communal shower," says Chris.
"The communal showers ? it's a joke ?" says Amy.
"Oh, I'm glad we're with boys in our dorm, you know what I mean?" says Sam.
Scott and Rodney look at him strangely.
"That's not what I meant. I like girls. I don't want to sleep with her, that's not what I meant," Sam says.
"Chris, excuse me. Do we have chaperones or something?" says Idris.
"As far as I know, you're all over sixteen, so you're old enough to be instructors, which means that apart from me, you won't have anyone to look after you, so you'll have half an hour to pack up and meet me in the dining room, so look at the time," Chris said.
After Chris's speech, a scream rang out in the Gophers girls' room - it was Amy screaming about a cockroach.
"Wow, she's screaming loud!" said Leshawna.
What the hell is that? Kill it... that monster," said Amy.
When Dj saw the cockroach, he jumped on Gwen's bed.
"That was my bed," said Gwen.
Everyone tried to squash it, but no one succeeded until Duncan came along with an axe and cut the cockroach in half.
"I didn't know that was how cockroaches were killed," says Gwen.
"But you're a heartless being for killing that poor cockroach," says Dawn,
"Because it was total panic," says Duncan.
"May Mother Nature make him pay one day," says Dawn.
"Wait, you can talk to animals? That's the most illogical thing I've ever heard," says Dave.
"It's a gift I was born with," says Dawn.
"I don't know this magic, I'd like to learn it," says Leonard.
"I stand corrected, that's the second most illogical thing I've ever heard," says Dave.
Refectory
"Listen. I serve three meals a day! and you eat three times a day, I serve you the dish, you sit down and eat it all," says Chef Hatchet.
"Is your food clean? " replies Dave.
"How about a dose of slap?" says Chef Hatchet.
"He doesn't look so easy," says Sam.
"What did you say? Come here, boy! I don't think I heard you right," says Chef Hachette.
"I guess it wasn't very important," says Sam.
"I'm sure it was," says Chef Hachette.
Sam runs away quickly
"Excuse me, but my nutritionist strongly advised against eating simple sugars, white flour and dairy products," says Sky.
"I don't think that's a problem," replies Gwen.
"Okay, I don't want to sound like a chipie, but I feel like there's something alive in my burger," says Gwen.
After Gwen's words, Chef grabbed a hammer and smashed the burger.
"Well, that settles it," said Gwen from the other side. "
"This guy thinks he's the bad guy, but I'm the bad guy AH AH AH," said Max.
"What are you talking about?" says Scott.
"Evil doesn't share its secrets," says Max.
Then Chris entered the dining hall.
"Welcome to the dining hall," said Chris.
"Tell me Chris, is there any way to order hot dogs?" says Shawn.
Chef Hatchet hears Shawn and throws a knife.
"Calm down, I was just kidding," says Shawn.
Confessional: Dave
Did I just see Chef throw a knife at someone? Or did I just land?" says Dave.
End of confessional
"Your first challenge starts in an hour," says Chris.
"What do you think the trial will be about?" says Bridgette.
"It's the first trial, so it'll probably be very easy," replies Dj.
An hour later, all the contestants have to jump off the cliff.
"Oh shit!" says Dj.

Author's note: Hello everyone, I know I've been missing for a few months but I'm back with a remake of Random. For those who've already read it, there will be a few small changes and for those who've never read it, well, I hope I've managed to get you to enjoy this first chapter. One last detail, all the chapters are already finished, so I'm sure the story is complete and that gives me time to prepare the sequel.
