As He completes the reading, he sits down in his chair and thinks about the possible combinations and strategies for the upcoming battles.
The two trainers stood opposite from each other. Trent, standing tall and slim, was wearing white sneakers, and black jeans, a white t-shirt, and had black hair. He was clenching his fists covered in black fingerless gloves in anticipation. He looked to be in his early twenties.
On the other side of the field was a medium-height, yet well-built man in his late teens. He wore brown shoes, blue jeans, a black shirt, and had brown hair. He had white gloves on his hands. Both looked at the ref waiting to start.
The referee took over from there. "This battle between Trent Fernandez of Eterna City representing the Sinnoh Region, and Jordan Cruise representing the Johto Region from New Bark Town will shortly be underway. Each trainer will use one Pokémon, and the match is over when one trainer's Pokémon is unable to battle. The winner gets two points, the loser none, and a draw is one each. Both the trainer will choose their Pokemon at the same time to avoid any advantage. Are you both ready?"
The two trainers nodded.
"Then please send out your Pokemon."
"Infernape, I choose you!" shouted Trent. A fire monkey appeared, ready to battle.
"Primeape, Go!" George called. A Pig Monkey Pokémon appeared and struck a battle-ready pose.
"Infernape versus Primeape. Begin!" the ref said.
"Infernape, lead with Flamethrower!", Jake shouted
"Primeape, dodge, and counter with Close Combat!", George countered
Infernape unleashes a powerful jet of flames from its mouth, directed towards Primeape. Primeape's eyes narrow as it swiftly moves to dodge the Flamethrower and launches a barrage of rapid punches at Infernape. Infernape holds back for a few seconds, before being recovered from the hostile attack
"Infernape, use Thunder Punch to strike back!" Trent said
"Primeape, use Shadow Claw to deflect the Thunder Punch!" George shouted
Infernape charges its fist with electric energy and throws a lightning-fast punch at Primeape. Primeape's claw becomes surrounded by dark energy as it strikes the Thunder Punch with its Shadow Claw, nullifying the electric attack. Both Pokemon jump a few feet back in front of their trainers, waiting for the next command
"Infernape, show them the power of Flare Blitz!" Trent commands, punching in the air
"Primeape, brace for impact and retaliate with Mach Punch!", George countered
Infernape's body ignites in flames as it charges at Primeape with incredible speed, delivering a powerful body slam. Primeape braces itself, then deliver a lightning-fast Mach Punch counterattack against Infernape's Flare Blitz. But the powerful fire attack overwhelms the Mach Punch and hits Primeape, causing it to burn
"Infernape, use Calm Mind to focus your energy and power!" Trent said calming the battle
"Primeape, don't let up! Use Rock Slide to disrupt its focus!" George said, sensing the opportunity
Infernape closes its eyes, focusing its mind and increasing its mental strength. Primeape sends a cascade of rocks tumbling toward Infernape, aiming to break its concentration. But Infernape easily dodges all the incoming rocks with his eyes closed and his heightened senses.
"Infernape, shake it off and use Fire Spin to trap Primeape!" Trent said
Infernape summons a vortex of flames, trapping Primeape in a fiery cyclone.
"Primeape, use Shadow Claw to break free!" said George hoping for something to work out
Primeape slashes at the flames with its Shadow Claw, creating an opening to escape the Fire Spin. Primeape's Shadow Claw proves effective in escaping Infernape's Fire Spin
"Infernape, let's go all out with Overheat!" Trent shouted
Infernape's body turns red and it releases a powerful orange-yellow fire with an orange flame spiraling around it from its mouth at Primeape
"Primeape, seize the opportunity, and use Focus Punch!" George said
Primeape focuses its energy, charging up a powerful Focus Punch attack. The Overheat and Focus Punch attacks collide with a tremendous burst of energy, shaking the battlefield. Soon, Overheat easily overpowers, Focus Punch, and hits Primeape, causing it great pain. The collision creates a bit of smoke and dust in the arena. When the smoke cleared, Primeape was lying on the ground with black swirls in its eyes
"Primeape is unable to battle! The winner is Trent and his Infernape! Trent will be awarded two points for his victory" the Referee said
The crowd cheers and applause after watching an incredible battle
"Great battle, George! Your Primeape really pushed us to our limits" Trent said inviting his hand for a handshake
"You too, Trent! Your Infernape's power is truly impressive." George said shaking Trent's hand
Trent watches the big screen showing his group and adding two valuable points to his name. He walks back to the dressing room in satisfaction
