Chapter 1

Tsukune Aono may seem like an ordinary, unremarkable teenager, living an average life with typical looks and skills. However, beneath this facade lies a well-kept secret that not even his parents are aware of. Despite his averageness, Tsukune harbors a hidden power or unique ability, one that sets him apart from the norm.

His life takes an unexpected turn when he fails his entrance exam, leaving him disheartened and uncertain about his future. Then, fate intervenes in the form of his father, who stumbles upon a mysterious pamphlet for Yokai Academy. Without consulting Tsukune, his father enrolls him in this enigmatic institution. Initially, Tsukune is both shocked and intrigued by the prospect of attending a school he's never heard of before, uncertain about what awaits him on this unconventional educational journey.

As Tsukune Aono waited for the bus, a flurry of thoughts raced through his mind. However, the tranquility of his contemplation was shattered when the bus finally arrived. The door swung open, and an eerie sensation washed over him, emanating from the bus driver.
"Are you Tsukune Aono?" the bus driver inquired.
With a nervous gulp, Tsukune stammered, "Y-yes, that's me."
The bus driver's unsettlingly glowing eyes seemed to pierce through Tsukune as he said, "Well, what are you waiting for? Come on in... I won't bite."
Tsukune reluctantly entered the bus, his heart pounding. He noticed another teenager dozing off at the back of the bus and silently took a seat in front of him, careful not to disturb his slumber.

"Prepare yourself, young one, for Yokai is a truly eerie realm," chuckled the bus driver as they departed on the route to Yokai High School.

Thirty minutes later, the bus finally arrived at its destination.

"We have arrived, kid. Could you wake up, Mr. Uzumaki?" the bus driver said, pointing to the teen who was still asleep at the back of the school bus.

"No need, Mr. Bus Driver-san. I'm awake," the teen replied, giving a mischievous fox-like smile.

As the teen exited the school bus, the bus driver left them with a cryptic warning, "Be careful; the school is very scary...hehehe," before driving away, still chuckling.

"Well, that was interesting. Hey, I'm Uzumaki Naruto. Nice to meet you," the teen introduced himself cheerfully.

"Uh, yeah. My name is Aono Tsukune. Nice to meet you too, Uzumaki-san," Tsukune replied nervously.

"Just Naruto, no need for formality."

"Okay, Naruto," Tsukune agreed.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go," Naruto said, a bright smile on his face, as he began walking towards the school with Tsukune by his side.

Five minutes later, as they made their way towards the school, they noticed a girl riding a bicycle heading straight for them.
"Move away! I can't control my bicycle!" the girl shouted, but it was too late, and she crashed into them, with Naruto taking the brunt of the impact. Tsukune narrowly managed to evade the collision.
After Tsukune picked himself up and dusted off his clothes, he couldn't believe his eyes. The girl was sprawled on top of Naruto, and Naruto's hand had accidentally landed on the girl's chest.
"Ho ho... You work fast, Naruto. Not even in school yet, and you already have a girl falling for you," Tsukune teased, trying to hold back a laugh.
"Shut up! I thought you were the shy type, Tsukune. What gives?" Naruto retorted.
"Well, I can't deny that, but I can also joke around, you know," Tsukune replied with a mischievous smile.
"Okay... could you—" Naruto began, but the girl suddenly interrupted.
"Ah! I'm sorry for bumping into you. You see, I'm anemic," she explained, standing up and bowing to apologize.
"It's okay; I'm not hurt," Naruto reassured her, although he did have a small cut on his face.

"Hey, tough guy, you're bleeding," Tsukune suddenly pointed out, making the girl jump in surprise and Naruto grumble. The girl then offered her handkerchief to Naruto, who declined it, trying to explain that he would heal fast. However, to their shock, the girl bit him. Naruto was left stunned, and Tsukune couldn't believe what he was witnessing.

The girl slowly retracted her fangs from Naruto's neck, introducing herself, "My name is Akashiya Moka... and I'm a vampire."
Both Tsukune and Naruto remained in a state of shock. Moka asked anxiously, "Do you two hate vampires?"
Naruto, still recovering from the surprise, replied with a smile, "Well, I don't hate them; it's just that the biting was quite a shocker for me."
Tsukune, lost in thought, pondered, "Hmm, a vampire? Is she joking? But if she's the real deal, this could be interesting. I've never met a vampire before, and it doesn't mean I hate them. It's more intriguing for me," he said, while shyly rubbing his head.
Excitement lit up Moka's face as she asked, "Yes, can we be friends?"
Naruto nodded enthusiastically, saying, "Sure, my name is Uzumaki Naruto. Just call me Naruto."
Tsukune joined in, his shyness evident, "Yeah, we can be friends. I'm Aono Tsukune, by the way."

Moka beamed with happiness, "Nice to meet you guys! Oh no, I'm late to meet the principal. I'll see you two later," she exclaimed as she hurried off towards the school.

Arriving at their classroom, Naruto and Tsukune breathed a sigh of relief, realizing they were indeed in the same class. Their conversation carried on until a woman with cat ears and entrancing light-yellow eyes walked in, gracing the room with a captivating smile.
"Settle down, class," the woman's commanding voice silenced the chattering students, who quickly took their seats.
"Now, introductions are in order, and if you're new here, welcome to Yokai Academy!" she greeted cheerfully. "My name is Shizuka Nekonome, and I am your homeroom teacher, nya!"
"As you all know, this academy is for monsters, nya..." Miss Nekonome continued, which sent a shock through Tsukune, who was human.
"Umm…miss, what would happen if a human got into our school?" a concerned student asked.
"Well…that's impossible, but if it ever happened, the human would be terminated for trespassing on school property, nya..." Miss Nekonome replied, causing Tsukune to fear for his life.
"You will be learning how to co-exist with humans because humans are the most dominant species on the planet. After the wars between monsters and humans, where humans emerged victorious, we have to blend in and co-exist with them, nya..." she explained. However, one of the students sitting beside Tsukune expressed his disdain.
"Hah, why don't we just keep the girls for ourselves and get rid of the men? They're useless anyway," the student made a derogatory comment about humanity. Tsukune's initial fear was replaced by anger.
"Ah...Komiya-san, is it?" Miss Nekonome addressed the student. "The answer to that question is that there are more humans than monsters, nya. Even though we are stronger than humans, their sheer numbers would overwhelm us, nya..."

As Tsukune contemplated his situation, he thought, "I need to get stronger if I have to stay in this school… hmm"

"I hope Tsukune is alright" Naruto thought worriedly, because Naruto knew he was human from the moment they meet

But their trains of thought was interrupted when a girl has enter the class that is familiar to them, they could hear a lot of whisper coming from the male student in class. It was all about how they are going to get in bed with her and F*k her.

"Ahh… sorry miss for being late… I got lost on the way" the girl apologies

"It alright…and you are…?"

"Oh…gomen…my name is Moka Akashiya…nice to meet you" Moka said happily, then walk to an empty sit beside Naruto and in-front Tsukune.

Moka then notice the two and instantly were in front of them holding their hand while shacking them rapidly. "Naruto…Tsukune we are at the same class! I'm so happy" Moka said happily not knowing the killing intents that was coming from the male student body aiming at Tsukune and Naruto.

"Shit I need to get stronger fast…just being with Moka is already dangerous "Tsukune thought nervously while portending a shy smile on his face. While Naruto thought of killing every one of them that try to harm him and his new friend. Miss Nekonome then told Moka to sit down so that she may start class.

"Akashiya Moka you will be mine…hehehe" thought Komiya saijo with lust full thoughts while watching Moka

After class, Tsukune and Naruto found themselves being led by the enchanting vampire named Moka. Jealous glares from fellow male students followed them as they strolled through the school grounds. Eventually, they paused by a soda machine to quench their thirst.

"Hey Moka-san may I ask?" Tsukune ask "Sure Tsukune what is it?" Moka said looking at him with a smile.

"Well you are a vampire aren't you?"

"Yes…what wrong?" Moka ask looking worried

"Don't you need to drink blood instead rather than other beverage?"

"Oh…we do need blood but we can also drink other like my tomato juice…" Moka answer

"Well speaking of drink…I still can't believe that there is no ramen juice…" Naruto said while looking at the soda machine

"That disgusting you know" Tsukune said while drinking his drink

"Shut up! Ramen is delicious so that mean that ramen juice is also delicious dattebayo" Naruto said while pouting. Moka could only watch happily at the two as they argue with each other. Suddenly Tsukune was thrown on to the wall and Naruto was slam through the soda machine with his neck being grip by an unknown figure.

"Tsukune! Naruto!" Moka yell

"Hehehe…so you are Moka Akashiya…hmm" the figure look at Moka "Why don't you hang out with me a real man…not this two loser" The figure said

Moka stood there in shock and disbelief as she witnessed her two friends being brutally attacked by an unknown individual. Her emotions were too overwhelming for words to describe.
"Where are my manners... My name is Saijo," Saijo said, his tone mocking as he gripped Naruto's neck. Naruto, with a mixture of irritation and concern for Tsukune, began to raise his hand with the intention of retaliating, but his actions were halted when six decks of cards suddenly flew towards Saijo's face, leaving six clean cuts on his skin.
"Ahhh!" Saijo screamed in pain, clutching his injured face, allowing Naruto to break free. As Naruto and Moka watched in astonishment, they realized it was Tsukune who had launched this unexpected attack. Naruto was shocked to discover Tsukune possessed such skills, and Moka was equally surprised, having never witnessed anything like it before.
"Leave my friend alone!" Tsukune shouted, dusting himself off with one hand while holding a deck of cards in the other.
"You... will pay for this, insects!" Saijo yelled, charging towards Tsukune. However, before he could reach Tsukune, Naruto intervened with a powerful kick, causing Saijo to crumple to the ground, unconscious.

Moka, now relieved, spoke to Saijo as she dragged both men away, "I'm standing by my friends."

School Rooftop

"That was amazing, you two... What kind of monster are you two?" Moka asked happily, her excitement evident in her tone.
Tsukune was sweating bullets, scared of what would happen if his friend found out he was human. Naruto noticed Tsukune's anxiety and tried to help, but before he could say anything, Tsukune blurted out that he was a witch.

"Hmmm..." Moka looked at Tsukune intensely, making him sweat even more. Naruto sighed, aware that Tsukune had just dug himself into a hole. "C... Could you show me some magic tricks then?" Moka asked cheerfully, while Naruto facepalmed, realizing that Tsukune was in trouble.

"Sure... why not," Tsukune sheepishly agreed, making Moka happy and leaving Naruto in shock.
"How could he do magic? He's only human... or is he really a witch?" Naruto thought, still bewildered.
While Naruto was lost in thought, Tsukune pulled out four decks of cards and displayed them to Moka. Each deck is random - 6 of hearts, 2 of clubs, Ace of clubs, and King of spades - visible only to Moka. He then asked her to choose a card without revealing it to him. Tsukune confidently declared, "The card in your hand is your own face."
Moka looked initially disappointed, but her expression quickly turned to shock as she revealed her face on the card. "No, my card is... WHAT?!" Moka exclaimed.
"Hehehe... that's just a simple transformation magic," Tsukune explained, scratching his head shyly.
"Oi, you two, it's getting late. We should head back to our dorm," Naruto said, gazing at the evening sky.
"Yeah," Moka agreed happily.
"Scared, are you?" Tsukune teased Naruto.
"Scared of what? I'm Uzumaki Naruto, and I'm not scared of anything or anyone," Naruto replied proudly.
"Oh I thought you would be scared... you know I'm not trying to take Moka away," Tsukune teased Naruto.
Naruto blushed, stammering, "W-Well, we're just friends, Moka is just a friend nothing more."
Tsukune grinned, playfully skeptical. "Sure, Naruto, if you say so."
Suddenly, Moka chimed in, asking, "What are you two talking about?"

Tsukune tried to respond, but Naruto quickly covered his mouth, saying, "It's nothing important, Moka, just a silly conversation. Haha." This made Moka pout cutely, her curiosity piqued.

Later

"Wow, guys, this place is incredible!" Moka exclaimed with joy as they admired their dormitory. The girls' and boys' dorms were conveniently located side by side.
"Yeah, it's pretty amazing, though I must admit, it's got a bit of a creepy vibe," Tsukune admitted.

Naruto agreed, saying, "I'm with you on that one."

"Well, before that... kapuchuu!" Moka playfully bit Naruto, who resembled a fish out of water. Tsukune couldn't help but giggle.
After satisfying her thirst, Moka slowly pulled away. "Thanks, Naruto... bye, Tsukune. See you guys tomorrow," she said, dashing off to her dorm.
"Hehehe... you're quite fond of her, aren't you?" Tsukune teased.
Naruto, his tone turning more serious, replied, "Shut up. More importantly, I know you're a human, Tsukune."
Tsukune readied his deck of cards, equally serious. "Yeah, so what? Are you planning to kill me?"
"No, but I want to test you. I've been itching for a good old fight," Naruto said, a mix of a smile and seriousness in his expression.
"Why me, though?"
"Don't you want to stay? Don't you want to become strong, to survive in this school?" Naruto asked, his tone dead serious.
"Yes, I do. It's my first time having friends, even if they're all monsters. I don't care! If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get..."

"Then come at m—" Naruto began, only to be interrupted as three cards came flying towards him, forcing him to dodge. Tsukune saw it as an opening and charged at Naruto, delivering a hook to his head and following up with another punch. Tsukune repeated his attacks but was suddenly kicked, causing him to stumble.

"Heh, nice one, but that won't hurt me," Naruto said with a confident smile as he charged at Tsukune. Naruto aimed a right jab at Tsukune's face, but Tsukune swiftly halted it mid-punch, countering with a swift kick to Naruto's left rib, causing him to stumble. Undeterred, Tsukune followed up with a right hook and a spinning left kick to Naruto's head. Naruto's vision blurred momentarily after the kick, and as he tried to clear it, Tsukune had vanished.
"Hey! Where are you, Tsukune?" Naruto shouted, scanning the forest, but received no response.
Suddenly, cards came flying at him from the right, and Naruto narrowly dodged. Then from the left, and one by one, cards attacked him. Naruto managed to evade most of them, but he couldn't escape unscathed. His clothes were shredded, his face and hands marked with cuts. Even when he attempted to use Kage Bunshin, they were easily destroyed. Just as he felt surrounded by the card onslaught, Tsukune appeared behind him, a card poised at Naruto's neck.
"You lost, Naruto..."
"Hehehe... no, you did... I've been waiting for you to come out," Naruto replied with a grin as he poofed away, leaving Tsukune holding a dummy. Before Tsukune could react, Naruto reappeared in front of him, delivering a punch to Tsukune's abdomen, knocking the wind out of him. They both tumbled to the ground, Tsukune fatigued and Naruto nursing his wounds from the cuts.
They lay in silence for a moment, gazing up at the sky and savoring the serene view. Then, Tsukune started to chuckle, and Naruto joined in, their laughter growing louder and more joyful. They exchanged smiles.
"That was fun... let's do it again," Tsukune suggested, his eyes filled with happiness.
"Yeah, but this time, I'll find a way to counter your barrage of card attacks, dattebayo!" Naruto declared with enthusiasm.
"Sure thing, but in the meantime, I need to get physically stronger and expand my magic pool," Tsukune said, examining his fist thoughtfully.
"By the way, Tsukune... you are human, right? So how can you do magic or even fight? I mean, even if I'm holding back, I'd easily defeat any regular human any day," Naruto asked, curiosity piqued.

"Well, I'm human...

FLASHBACK

It was a lazy Sunday morning, and young Tsukune found himself bored. He approached his mother, asking if he could go outside to play, but she insisted he read a book instead. Slightly disappointed, Tsukune wandered into his father's study, expecting a dull collection of books. However, what he discovered piqued his curiosity.
In his father's study, Tsukune found an assortment of old and peculiar books, unlike any he had seen before. The absence of titles or pictures intrigued him. One item that stood out was not a book but a scroll adorned with a shuriken symbol. He began reading it with great interest, but his mother's voice called from the kitchen.
"Tsukune! When you're done reading, be sure to put everything back in its proper place, okay, honey?" Kasumi Aono shouted from downstairs.
"Okay, Mom!" young Tsukune replied, still engrossed in the scroll. Hours passed as he continued reading. Following his mother's instructions, he carefully returned the scroll to its rightful spot.
While searching for another book, Tsukune noticed one that resembled a face with its mouth stitched shut. He picked it up and opened it, finding just one sentence within, surrounded by empty pages.
"What is this?" Tsukune muttered to himself. The sentence intrigued him further.
"If you want to continue reading, you have to put your name here with your blood," he read aloud, his curiosity overpowering any reservations. Tsukune fetched a knife from his father's drawer and cut his finger, using his own blood to write his name. Three seconds later, words began to appear on the once-blank pages, seemingly conjured from thin air.
"So, you're my new master, huh..." the book suddenly spoke, surprising Tsukune. However, he was far from scared.
"Wow, a talking book! How cool!" Tsukune almost exclaimed.
"Huh, you're not afraid of me?" the book inquired, astonished since all its previous masters had reacted with fear upon their first encounter.
"Nope! What's your name, Mr. Talking Book?" Tsukune asked, giggling with delight.
"Well, my name is Volvaergi the Immortal, or the Curse Wizard, and I'll be teaching you the basics of magic. But before we start, you might wonder why just the basics. It's because I'll also guide you on how to create your own magic. Any questions?" Volvaergi inquired of Tsukune.
"What kind of magic, Vol-san? And how do you even know Japanese?" Tsukune asked, his curiosity unabated.
"Well, being immortal does have its perks, and I'll be teaching you the magic of your choosing," Vol responded.
"Oh... Hmm, how many types of magic can I learn?" Tsukune probed further.
"You can learn up to three," Vol explained sagely.
"Why is there a limit?" Tsukune inquired.
"Because the human body has its limits, and humans aren't born with magical energy or mana," Vol elaborated.
"How do humans obtain this energy or mana?" Tsukune pressed.
"The human body possesses a unique ability—the capacity to adapt to any environment. Since you've already signed your name, my energy will be gradually absorbed into your body, about 5% each day," Vol explained.
"Ah, that explains why I've been feeling something flowing inside me," Tsukune remarked, beginning to grasp the magical journey he had unwittingly embarked upon.
"Vol," Tsukune said with unwavering determination, "I'm embarking on a journey to master them all, starting with transformation."

Vol's eyes lit up with excitement. He had never encountered a student with such unwavering enthusiasm. "Well then, let's begin," he exclaimed, eager to mentor this exceptional young student.

ENDFLASHBACK

"I understand the magic part," Naruto asked, "but what about the entire card trick and your abnormal strength and speed?"
"Well, I learned how to throw cards after watching other kids try and fail. It took me the whole day to master it, and after that, I practiced more and taught myself some tricks. It only took me five weeks," Tsukune explained.
"Oh..." Naruto pondered, "Tsukune might be the biggest genius or the biggest idiot," he thought, then asked, "And what about your strength and speed?"
"Well, Vol said that humans have limits, right? But I refuse to believe that, so I train my strength and speed every day to prove him wrong," Tsukune replied.
"Speaking of him... where is he?" Naruto inquired.

Tsukune suddenly remembered something and nervously chuckled, "I think he's still in my luggage... hehehe," he admitted, making Naruto face-palm anime style..

Else where

"When I get out of this luggage, he is going to get it... TSUKUNE!" Vol's voice echoed from within the luggage, situated in Tsukune's dorm room. Passersby couldn't help but shudder in fear, mistakenly thinking that the dorm was haunted. It was ironic that they were scared of ghosts when they themselves were monsters.
