Cody found himself in some sort of weird pink room, which was very strange to him since he was in the cabins just earlier. Why was he in this room?
"Hola Seńor." He heard a familiar voice call out, and Cody felt a shiver in his spine when he saw Alejandro on the pink couch behind him.
"What the heck are you doing here?!" Cody asked angrily, he was not in the mood to be alone with Alejandro right now.
"I think you know exactly why I am here Cody." Alejandro smirked charmingly at the geek which caused Cody to get flustered.
"You already took my purity already. I don't need this crap." Cody glared hatefully at the Spaniard.
"But Cody, I know you missed me. Even if you try to deny it, you still feel some passion for me." Alejandro boldly proclaimed.
"Y-You're such a liar." Cody growled ferociously, "You don't care about me, stop acting like you do."
"But it's true Cody. I have missed you. Why else would I focus my attention on you and not Heather. I do care about you." Alejandro said with a pleading look.
Cody was shocked to hear such a spiel from Alejandro and seemed to reconsider his options. Maybe he should…. wait, no, no, NO!
"No! I don't want you! I don't! NO!" Cody cried out in agony.
Suddenly Cody found himself waking up in a start and quickly taking in his surroundings. He looked out the window to see the sun shining in the campgrounds and he was in the cabin.
"Okay… it was just a nightmare. Just a nightmare." Cody took a breath and saw that pretty much the rest of his male teammates were asleep, and Cameron was especially huddled up in his sleeping bag.
"I should probably head to the Mess Hall." Cody sighed before jumping off the bunk from above Owen and walking off to the Mess Hall, unaware that Cameron's eyes were open from inside the sleeping bag.
"Fascinating." Cameron whispered to himself in awe as he poked his head out of the sleeping bag.
Cameron would later go into the confessional to explain what his observations were, "I never expected Cody to have such a bad dream, and from the nature of the dream, it sounded really serious. From what I heard, it sounded like he went through some relationship troubles. Is he still reeling over the fact that he lost Gwen to Duncan?"
The bubble boy immediately shook the thought off, "Probably not, one of Sierra's blogs was about how Cody got over his crush on our resident goth. Perhaps a hookup from his days as a Drama brother went awry? I need to study more on this case."
Meanwhile Cody himself was heading towards the Mess Hall, expecting for it to be completely empty but was surprised to see that Zoey was sitting at the table with some gruel.
"Oh hey Cody. I wasn't sure if anybody was going to be up this early." Zoey smiled warmly at the geek.
"Yeah, a dream ended up causing me to wake up so I decided to get breakfast early." Cody explained, deciding it would be a good idea to chat with one of his teammates.
"That makes sense, I just woke up because I felt a jolt in my sleep. I hate when that happens." Zoey rolled her eyes playfully.
"Oh tell me about it, it's so disturbing." Cody chuckled.
"I know. So I gotta ask, what's it like being considered an All Star? It seems like a big honor." Zoey spoke up.
"It was certainly surprising given my early placement in season one, but I guess being in the final three makes up for it." Cody said happily, "Although given the fact some people call me undeserving as a semifinalist, it really made me think I might not be that big of a player."
"Ugh, I hate when I get those type of comments. Like, we got to that spot all on our own and for people to undermine that achievement is so annoying." Zoey said angrily, "I wouldn't listen to those guys about that. You did just fine in World Tour, you deserve to be an All Star."
"You think so? Thanks" Cody smiled gratefully.
"No problem." Zoey smiled back, which made Cody feel warm inside, maybe this season wouldn't be so bad after all.
Meanwhile back at the Spa Hotel, Alejandro was eating with his teammates in the dining hall. Sierra was currently chatting with an oddly amicable Heather, Scott was digging into his feast like an animal, and Duncan was talking to Gwen who was giving Courtney awkward glances.
"Hey Alehandwalker." Jo suddenly spoke up from next to Alejandro causing the Spaniard to turn to the Jockette.
"I was out for a jog last night and I saw you and Cody arguing about something. What was that about?" Jo asked skeptically, causing all eyes to fall on Alejandro who was beginning to feel nervous, he certainly couldn't tell his teammates about his fling with Cody, they'd vote him off for sure.
Luckily, he had a good lie at hand.
"He was upset about how I eliminated him in World Tour. Nothing more." Alejandro said simply, though he did not notice the furious glare Sierra had on her face.
"Well if I was shoved into shark infested waters, I'd be upset too." Scott shrugged.
"We get it. Us laughing at you in the finale last season was messed up." Jo rolled her eyes.
"Hey, I'm just saying that Cody's anger is reasonable." Scott continued speaking.
"Whatever. I just hope Lightning didn't find the invincibility statue, if we don't vote him off now, he'll likely be too strong to beat in the merge." Jo commissions to her team.
"So you're saying we should vote him off next time we lose?" Alejandro asked, eager to change the subject.
"Yep, first time we lose, he's outta here." Jo nodded.
"Are you sure about that?" Courtney asked before pointedly turning to Duncan, "I have a different target in mind."
"Ugh, here she goes again." Duncan rolled her eyes.
"Can we not have a repeat of the second half of season three, thank you." Sierra scoffed.
Alejandro tuned out the rest of the conversation, he had enough of dealing with the controversies of this team.
"Attention campers! It's challenge time! Get your hineys down to the beach pronto!" Chris announced from the loudspeakers.
Once Cody made it to the beach, he was directed to a yellow moat where his team was standing, Zoey was the first to help him up much to his relief. After Lightning returned from Boney Island, Chris had begun his announcement.
Bonjour, mes campers! Some of you will recall our season three Parisian 'Find and Build a Sculpture' debacle." Chris said happily from his announcer stand, sporting a red beret.
"Ooh Ooh do we get to sing Paris In The Springtime again, I liked singing that." Owen said happily until he noticed Cody's glare.
"Oh right… bad memories." Owen chuckled sheepishly, "Sorry."
"Well, this time, our interns have buried 3d puzzle pieces all over the beach. Seven pieces per team; find all your pieces and assemble them on your platform to recreate one of the landmarks visited on our world tour. First to finish, wins." Chris said happily.
"Since the Villainous Vultures won the first challenge; they get to dig with shovels." Chris continued before shouting, "Incoming!"
The Villainous Vultures were immediately thrown shovels, which they all caught expertly, except for Scott who caught his with his face.
"Hey! What about our shovels?!" Anne Maria asked angrily.
"Yeah. What are we supposed to dig with?" Mike asked in annoyance.
"Sorry. Shovels are for winners only. I suppose you'll just have to work with your hands." Chris smirked mockingly, "Your challenge starts now!"
He then blows his airhorn causing the challenge to begin.
"Woohoo! Let's get digging!" Owen said cheerfully before the sand beneath him disintegrated and sent him into a moat full of crabs.
"Oh yeah, getting on and off your platforms will be challenging given they're all filled with crabs." Chris began as Jo poked the hole with a shovel revealing a moat under their platform as well
"No big thing for Light-oh-ning!" Lightning smiled before he jumped off the moat but ended up falling in anyway since a plank flung him into the moat.
After Owen and Lightning got out of the moats, the teams began talking strategy, and Cody made sure to listen to it.
"We should divide our area into sections, and each dig in one." Zoey suggested.
"There are four corners and eight of us, so let's all just partner up." Leshawna added, "I'll work with Owen."
"I'll work with Brick. I like him the best." Anne Maria said boldly, making her biases well known.
"Okay… I'll go with Cody." Zoey told the group much to Mike and Cameron's shock.
"Really?" Cody asked in shock.
"Yeah. I feel like Mike and Cameron might work better together, plus I'm sure it'll be fun." Zoey smiled brightly.
Cody couldn't argue with that, out of everyone on this team, he definitely didn't mind working with Zoey.
Back with Alejandro, he was basically ignoring his teammates right now. Heather, Jo, and Courtney had all gotten into some big leader debate and no one was willing to listen to it, though one thing certainly got Alejandro's attention.
He saw that Cody and Zoey were both digging together and speaking to each other happily. Alejandro was shocked at this so to speak. It had only been one day and Cody's pretty much bonding with one of the newbies. And so quickly too, it took Cody a good while before he fully warmed up to Alejandro… not that he cared or anything.
"Awww, don't they look so cute together?" A shrill voice asked from behind him and Alejandro turned to see that Sierra was speaking to him.
"What are you talking about?" Alejandro asked curiously.
"Cody and Zoey, obviously. Like, they seem so happy together. Who knows? Maybe they'll be the first cross generation romance of the season." Sierra squeed excitedly much to Alejandro's horror, Cody couldn't possibly have found a new rebound already, could he?!
"Ahahahahahahahahahaha!" Sierra suddenly began laughing, "I'm totally messing with you. Zoey has Mike after all. Cody's not one to start up a love triangle."
"Y-Yes, of course." Alejandro regained his composure, "Cody would never do that."
"Yeah, Cody treats the matter of the heart very seriously." Sierra added pointedly, "It would be such a shame if he caused someone heartbreak, but I don't think that would happen."
After that, Sierra ran off and Alejandro couldn't help but feel weirded out by that exchange, why was he so concerned with Cody's love life? What the geek does with his romantic interests was none of his business. They had one fling and that was it. As such, he went back to digging.
However, he had not noticed that Heather had overheard this entire exchange, she had given up on trying to reason with Courtney and Jo, who were still arguing mind you, and what she heard was really interesting.
Heather would later go to the confessional to explain her thoughts, "I don't know what the heck Alejandro and Sierra were talking about back there. For some reason Alejandro seemed oddly invested in Cody's love life. Why would he care about that?"
Not much of note was happening so far during the challenge so far for Cody, though that changed once he saw Cameron put a fedora on Mike and the latter started digging furiously until he found a statue piece. Cody knew from last season that this was Manitoba, and suddenly the Aussie headed towards their section when he smirked at Zoey, "Phew. Looks like the real treasure is right here besides me. Wink wink." Manitoba not so subtly flirted.
Zoey smiled politely at this, but Cody just gave a raised eyebrow at the interaction, he knew that Mike's alters didn't go out much, but he was pretty sure Zoey being Mike's girlfriend would be common knowledge to him. This felt like one of those Jekyll and Hyde love triangle type fanfictions.
Cody turned over to the villains' team to find Alejandro speaking with Gwen with that snake like smirk on his face and a hand was on the goth's shoulder, Cody silently growled at this, it was bad enough Alejandro was sleazy enough to flirt with anything that breathes but now he's targeting Cody's friend. Why did he ever consider having feelings for that cretin?
"Cody?" Zoey tapped his shoulder, snapping Cody out of his daze.
"Oh sorry, I got sidetracked." Cody chuckled nervously.
"Are you jealous of Alejandro flirting with Gwen?" Zoey asked curiously, "You seemed annoyed."
"Trust me Zoey, I'm over Gwen. I just don't like Alejandro messing with my friends." Cody explained.
"I'm sure she'll be fine. She's smart enough to not fall for that." Zoey smiled softly at the geek.
"Yeah, you're right." Cody nodded calmly, glad that Zoey was there to help him out.
Cody looked to see how many pieces both teams have, both of them had one piece. Decent start, but they could be doing better.
After an hour passed, Chris began whining about how everyone was "wasting his time", things were picking up again. Cameron had stepped on a booby trap which caused him to crash into Scott, accidentally revealing one of their pieces which Anne Maria had not been pleased with.
Zoey had also found a piece for the heroes to make up for it, to which Manitoba did the "gentlemanly thing" and took it out of the sand himself. Another excuse to flirt with Zoey he supposed.
The villains then got two more pieces after that, both coming from Gwen and Jo but Owen evened the odds a bit and got them another piece.
After that, Manitoba found another piece and threw it over to the heroes' moat and of course he couldn't help but give another flirtatious remark to Zoey, "Another! Heh, it's like taking a vegemite from a 'roo. I can show you how sometimes."
"Uh, no thanks. With Mike maybe." Zoey smiled politely as she walked off.
"Yep, she's a loyal one. Mike knows how to pick them." Manitoba chuckled.
Cody could not tell if that was meant to be a sexual innuendo or not and he was really hoping that it wasn't.
After a while, something really bad happened, apparently Jo found it a good idea to try and take one of their pieces, Manitoba caught onto it and reclaimed it, but once Jo stepped on a booby trap which released a bunch of bees, she accidentally hit Mike with her shovel trying to fight them off. He was knocked out for a bit before Zoey woke him up, Mike tried to get Manitoba back, but he couldn't find him.
That was a little concerning but Cody moved on regardless and it turned out that they had six out of seven pieces left, once he, Cameron, Brick, and Anne Maria got to building, they realized they were missing the torch, Zoey and Mike immediately went to digging in Owen and Leshawna's section, and found it. The villains were also close to finishing their statue too so it was really close. In the end, Zoey tossed Cody the torch piece and Cody immediately placed it on the statue. Much to Cody's relief, the Heroic Hamsters won the challenge.
Cody immediately got himself adjusted to the Spa Hotel, this felt like first class all over again, except that his teammates weren't full of tension.
"Man, I'm so glad we won that challenge today." Cody said in relief as the rest of his team filed inside the Spa Hotel.
"You said it, short stuff. I was gonna go ballistic if the villains won AGAIN!" Leshawna said good-naturedly.
"Well not all the villains are bad. Gwen and Sierra are pretty nice, Duncan's pretty cool too, Heather's got some amount of kindness in her and of course there's Al-" Owen began speaking, causing Cody to almost agree with him, if it weren't for the fact Owen added Alejandro into the conversation, that made him roll his eyes.
"No offense Owen, but Alejandro really only acted nice to Heather. Otherwise he was pretty much faking his kindness." Mike pointed out.
"Oh right… sorry guys. I just wanted to see the good in the villains I knew." Owen chuckled sheepishly.
"That's nice and all, but we can't turn our backs around Alejandro. One wrong move and he'll take advantage of it." Leshawna narrows her eyes at mentioning the Spaniard.
"I totally agree. I made a big mistake trusting him once." Cody said in annoyance.
"But… you voted him off in the Drumheller challenge once you realized his true nature, didn't you?" Brick asked.
"Yeah, when did you make a mistake in trusting him?" Anne Maria added.
Cody found himself widening his eyes. Crap, he should not have said that but thankfully he had a good coverup.
"I mean… I almost voted off Sierra after all." Cody tried his best to keep a straight face but he was a nervous wreck on the inside and it seemed like that was enough for the rest of the team as they didn't press any further questions and decided to dig into the food that the hotel had to offer, per Owen's suggestion of course.
Though Zoey trailed a bit behind Cody and spoke up, "Hey, I don't exactly claim to know everything, but did something personal happen between you and Alejandro?"
Cody may have trusted Zoey but he wasn't willing to give away his secrets about his and Alejandro's intimate moment just yet.
"I don't want to talk about it yet but Alejandro did do something to hurt me." Cody sighed which Zoey nodded sympathetically at before they headed to the dining hall.
Meanwhile at the male side of the Villainous Vultures' cabin, things were much less pleasant. Alejandro had to once again, bare witness to the arguing of Scott and Lightning.
"After giving me all that crap for being afraid of sharks, you lost us the challenge because of your crappy counting." Scott said furiously.
"Lightning counted seven, I'm telling you this was a conspiracy." Lightning argued in annoyance.
"There is no conspiracy! You miscounted!" Scott yelled back.
Meanwhile Alejandro and Duncan were just lounging about and watching this argument play out.
"Man, do they ever shut up?" Duncan rolled his eyes.
"Oh yes, this must be extremely annoying to watch for you." Alejandro spoke pessimistically, remembering the last time Duncan was part of this argument.
"Yeah, well I don't really care about what Lightning and Jo did today, I'm gonna be voting off Courtney for how obnoxious she was today. What about you?" Duncan told the Spaniard.
"I am compelled to keep my vote secret." Alejandro said neutrally, though in truth he was definitely voting off Lightning, perhaps he will finally get a good night's sleep when he is gone.
Alejandro still couldn't keep his mind off of what transpired with Cody today, was he seriously jealous of Cody spending time with Zoey? Why should he be? Cody was just a fling to him, sure he may have cared about the geek a little but in the end, their night together was meant to be just one night, nothing more.
At the elimination ceremony, it came down to Jo and Lightning, Jo for her attempt at cheating that failed miserably while Lightning cost the challenge. Jo ended up receiving the last marshmallow and Lightning was promptly sent down the Flush Of Shame. Owen had volunteered for exile on Boney Island and on the way back to the cabins, Heather had pulled him aside.
"What's up with you and Cody? You've been acting strange about him?" Heather asked suspiciously, that immediately sent alarms in Alejandro's head, he was really hoping Heather wouldn't catch on.
"As I said, he's just mad I got him eliminated. Nothing more." Alejandro said neutrally before heading to the cabin, "Farewell senorita."
Heather narrows her eyes as Alejandro went to the boys' cabin, she did not believe that for a second, something was going on and she was going to find out what.
Author's Note: Just as Cody and Alejandro are sorting out their feelings for one another, more people are catching onto what happened between them. This will most certainly be dramatic once the fallout occurs.
