In the night skies, flying above the cloud cover, Umbra was enjoying an afternoon flight by herself as she soared down and came to perch on a mountain peak.
She stood there and surveyed the air for few moments, acting normal before she turns her head and her eyes glow purple, "Wake up Lydie." She suddenly spoke, "I know who you truly are." She then opened her mouth and unleashed a maelstrom of dark energy.
Lydie then shot up with a gasp and panted as she looked around and saw she is in her own room in the Bounty as she got out of bed while taking a breather and looked out the window as she saw Umbra flying by with a falcon on her head.
They looked out her before before flying up. Lydie look around as she went out her room and went to the bridge and saw Wu and Nya in the bridge while Wu check the map.
"I see that you two are starting the hunt early." Lydie commented as Wu lowered the map.
"A watchful eye never sleeps my niece." Wu said to her.
"As long as Lloyd and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Ninjago is safe." Nya pointed out.
Lydie looked around and noticed the rest of her team weren't here, "Well, where are the boys? Shouldn't they be here helping?" She asked them in confusion.
"Training on the upper deck." Wu answered as Lydie nodded and went outside.
When she got to the deck however, she didn't see the others other than junk around deck and looked down to see nothing but clouds below them. She then looked up and saw Umbra gripping onto the mast and the falcon perched atop it. "You must be the Falcon that lead Zane to my brother's fortress," She said with a smile to the bird before looking to her dragon, "You were in my dream last night, girl. I feel like you know more about me than even I do, care to share with me?" She asked as Umbra and the Falcon flew off the mast and away from the Bounty as Lydie followed them.
Lydie stopped on the bow of the Bounty as she watched them go as she looked down to see if there's anything below the Bounty, but then a shadow crept up behind her as she felt a familiar presence she hadn't felt in a while.
"Father." Lydie said without looking as she turned and saw Garmadon standing behind her, "But, how did you get on board and how are you even here? You fled from Ninjago-" She tried to ask but was cut off by her father.
"Only to return for your Grandfather's weapons of spinjitzu, daughter." Garmadon said as he drew two jet black swords. "Soon, I will have the power to recreate Ninjago in my own image." He declared as he charge at Lydie, who dodge the swipe of his swords and landed behind him while drawing her bostaff. "Move aside, sweetie, so that I may claim your friends' Golden Weapons!" He demanded.
"You'll have to get through me to get them!" Lydie countered as she then did Spinjitzu. "NINJA-GO!" She charged at her father only for him to grab her by the throat, cutting off her Spinjitzu as she was out of her sleepwear and in her Ninja Gi. "Woahh!" She yelled as Garmadon flung her back to the lower deck of the ship and she crashed among the junk.
"If that's what you want." Garmadon said as he cut a rope next to him, which was holding a crate over the Bounty on the pole as it falls straight to Lydie.
Lydie shut her eyes, knowing she was a goner for sure. But then she opened her eyes to find she was alright and turned to her right to see the crate was caught and thrown off the ship by a young man, who was almost as strong as Cole, in a more stylish Ninja gi than hers with shoulder pads and an armor piece on his hood.
But Lydie payed more attention to his color, "The Green Ninja?" She asked in surprise as the Green Ninja did a pose. "The legend really is true." She said as the Green Ninja offered his hand to her, which she slowly accepted as she stood up as the two faced Garmadon.
Garmadon drew his two swords as he flipped in front of them, but the Green Ninja did a flip and gave a surprise hit to Garmadon before he flip back next to Lydie after dodging a swipe.
Lydie was surprised by his quick movements before she duck a swipe from her father and kicked him back, now focusing on the fight while there was no time to question the Green Ninja now.
Garmadon then thrusted his swords at them, but the two stood on each swords in perfect balances as Garmadon twirled around as the two spin a bit, Lydie skidded across the upper deck while the Green Ninja grabbed onto the pole and did a flip before landing perfectly on his feet, surprising Lydie even more.
Garmadon then threw his swords at them, but they duck as the Green Ninja walked a side and did Spinjitzu around the pole, which was like Lydie's only green with sparkling energy of the same color as Lydie looked in awed at how impressive the Green Ninja was, almost as agile and skilled as Zane.
Garmadon jumped in front of Lydie, but the Green Ninja got between them as he punched Garmadon twice as Lydie snapped out of her shock a rejoined the fight as the two Ninja and the Dark Lord clashed as Garmadon tried a drop kick on them before the Green Ninja flipped away and Lydie got behind and caught her father's legs and flung into the wall as she flipped on the deck with the Green Ninja.
What surprised Lydie even more is that the Green Ninja brought out a pair of golden Nunchucks she recognized, "The Nunchucks of Lightning?" She gasped, knowing that only Jay could master that weapon.
The Green Ninja charged up the Nunchucks, as if he knows how to use them, as Garmadon picked up one of his swords and ran at the two as the Green Ninja then slapped him straight to the face, which caused Garmadon to slide across the deck towards the edge.
Lydie gasped in fear and rushed to him, "DAD!" She yelled reaching out to catch her father but was too late as he went over the edge and she could only reach down in horror as he fell screaming to his death, "NOO!" She screamed as Garmadon disappeared beneath the sea of clouds.
Lydie clenched her fist before glaring to the Green Ninja, "How could you?!" She demanded but stopped herself when she saw the Green Ninja's eyes and fist on fire while the falcon perch on his left arm while Umbra stood behind him. "Who are you?" She asked as she noted the flames he was emitting. "Kai? Is that you?" She asked in suspicion, the Green Ninja's eyes weren't Kai's but she knew they looked familiar before she saw more of dragons circling above them and falcons appearing on deck around them. "What is going on? Just who are you, Green Ninja?!" She questioned as the Green Ninja fist was extinguish and he reached for his hood.
Lydie held her breath as the face of the Ninja destined to help her defeat her father was…a Girl with black hair?! "Lydie Garmadon, wake up!" Nya shouted with a glare.
Lydie suddenly woke up from her bed again as she panted and stood up while rubbing her head as she Nya standing in next of her.
"It's about time you woke up, sleeping in isn't like you." Nya said with a hand on her hip. "You're gonna be late for training with Sensei Wu." She pointed out.
Lydie rubbed her head. "How come you didn't wake me up sooner?" She asked.
"I tried earlier, but it looks like you were having one of those dreams that kept you in a deep sleep." Nya explained as she grabbed a cup on her beauty table before walking back to her.
Lydie pulled her feet of the bed and on the edge, "How do I know this isn't also a dream-" She tried to ask before Nya threw a cup of cold water right in her face, causing her to yell in shock. "Hey!" She called out while giving an irritated look at NYa.
"Does that feel like a dream?" Nya asked with a playful smirk.
"No. But pinching me would've been better." Lydie said as she got up and grab a towel as she dry herself while Nya laughed.
"I know, but this is more effective and way more fun." Nya joked through her laughter.
"I think you spend too much time with the boys." Lydie said as looked out the window and notice that they're surrounded by water. "I know we landed in water, but how's Umbra? Since she doesn't have a stable to sleep in." She added.
"Oh, she's fine. We're close to the coast, so she's resting on the beach nearby." Nya said while pointing to the beach a short distance away where Umbra is resting. "We should get some peace and quiet since Snake's aren't good swimmers." She added.
"Especially since we almost lost our home again after stealing the Serpentine's staff, twice." Lydie added as she went to the closet to get her clothes and went behind a dressing screen.
"Yeah, we really gotta make sure that doesn't happen again." Nya said with a cringe as she turned away to let Lydie changed.
"Especially if my brother opens another tomb after the Fangpyre give him the boot." Lydie said as she wore a purple cropped top hoodie, black shorts under a white skirt and sneakers.
"And you know that he might get the boot soon." Nya guessed as she got her red dress.
"My brother maybe good at mimicking our father, but he's pretty lousy when comes to being bad." Lydie explained as she sighed and looked down, "I really hope he realizes that soon."
Nya held her shoulder and smiled, "Never give up hope, trust me on that." She said as Lydie smiled and nodded before walking out of they're room and heading up to train. Once she saw alone, Nya went to her closet, opened it and pulled out her blueprints, "Now, to put the finishing touches on my secret project." She said as she opened it, revealing them to be the plans for some kind of high-tech armor and fighting suit.
On deck, Lydie met up with the boys as they turned to her in amusement wearing casual clothes like her. Kai wore a red jacket over a red shirt with his emblem and brown jeans and shoes. Jay wore a blue and white striped jacket open with a white shirt under it and blue jeans. Zane wore a white jacket similar to Kai's over a matching shirt and jeans with a brown belt. Cole wore a dark grey hoodie and black pants, a brown leather belt, and combat boots.
Kai gave a slight chuckle. "A little slow today, huh fearless leader?" He asked playfully.
"Normally you be up and early before us." Zane pointed out.
"Yeah, what's the tired look there, purple." Jay joked with a chuckle.
"Sorry for keeping you guys waiting. I just had a weird dream last night." Lydie explained.
"What exactly did you dream about?" Cole asked in wonder.
"Well, I saw Umbra in my dreams and I saw the falcon Zane mentioned." Lydie explained.
The others were surprise by this. "Whoa, Lydie, every time we see that bird something big happens." Jay pointed out.
"Jay is correct. First it led me to Lloyd's secret treehouse." Zane reminded.
"And then it led us to the Bounty." Cole added in agreement.
Before any of them could continue, their conversation was cut short when Wu came up in front of them. "All right. Stretches. First, the Swooping Crane." He said as he did a crane stance as the Ninja followed his example.
"Well, this time, the bird and Umbra showed me the Green Ninja." Lydie whispered.
The boys immediately turned to her in shock, "THE GREEN NINJA!?" They all exclaimed as Wu heard this.
When he turned he saw Cole covering his ears, Jay covering his mouth, Kai covering his eyes, Zane covering his nose while Lydie remained in crane stance, "That looks like the 'Shocked Monkey'," He commented as the others gave him sheepish looks. "Bad form, more focus." He said as he resume the stance as the others did the same.
"You can't just drop a bomb like that. Spill the beans." Jay whispered.
"Yes, what else did you see, Lydie?" Zane asked.
"He was fighting my father with me." Lydie started while giving a sad look at what happened to her father in her dreams, and feared that what she saw would happen in reality.
"That's what the prophecy said, that the two Ninjas of Yin & Yang would defeat the Dark Lord," Kai reminded her before asking the question on his and the others' minds, "But did have the chance to see which one of us was him?"
The others muttered in agreement, wanting to know which one of them is the chosen one.
"Well, that's tricky part, I don't know." Lydie honestly said. "Whoever he was, he shared something in common with each of you. It was like he was all four of you put together and none of you at all, at the same."
"Now 'Pitching Crab'." Wu said as he bend down a bit and pinch his hands as the others copied him.
"Well, tell us everything, and don't spare any details." Kai said to Lydie. "There has to be a clue that tells us which one of us is gonna be the Green Nin-" He was cut off when Wu started pulling on his hair. "Oh-OW-OWOWOW! Hey!" He said in pain as they turned to a cross looking Wu.
"What was so important to ignore my teachings?" Wu questioned the five sternly.
The Ninja glanced at each other nervously and tried to explained, "Uh N-nothing!" Kai lied.
"It was nothing Sensei!" Jay vouched.
"Yeah, we don't talk while you teach." Cole said in agreement.
"Everyone was paying attention." Zane added.
"We were really just following your stretches." Lydie finished.
Wu wasn't convinced at all and shook his head, "Since you all appear to lacking in focus, than you can all share in the punishment." He declared.
"What?!" Kai exclaimed.
"Punishment?!" Jay repeated.
"But Sensei!" Zane tried to say.
"It was all Lydie." Cole blamed.
"Hey, I was only answering their questions!" Lydie called out in defense.
Wu remained unmoved, "No free time, no video games and no shopping." He said sternly as the five gawk at him. "The rest of the day can be use for training. And tomorrow for that matter." He stated as he walked up the stairs of the bounty.
"Training? But for how long, Uncle?" Lydie whined and walked to him.
"Until you can answer this simple riddle: What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" Wu cryptic them.
"Easy, with a sword!" Kai said as he did a flip and posed like was holding a sword.
"You're fists!" Jay said as he punched the air.
"Spinjitzu!" Cole spoke next as he spun around.
"Tornado of Creation!" Zane guessed, doing the pose of the technique he said.
"True Potential?" Lydie suggested while doing a jump, kick and landed on one hand.
Wu gave a sigh as he continue to walk up. "Ah. Pace yourselves. You have a lot of training ahead of you." He said to them as he climbed up the stairs. "Make sure you sharpen your mind as well as your Spinjitzu." He advised as he continue on.
The five looked down in defeat as they got ready to train as they did Spinjitzu and got into their ninja gi. "Ah, what's the best way to defeat an enemy? It could be anything." Cole said as he brought out a bamboo staff and twirl it around.
"Uncle Wu sure know how to make a tough riddle." Lydie commented as she activates the Bounty's training equipment which Jay and his parents built before they returned the Walkers back to their scrapyard.
""Come on, guys, we're smart. We can figure this out." Jay said as he flipped through the axes on the wheel.
Another one popped up in front of Kai before he punched a punching bag. He then looked to see Wu go into the bridge and out of view before he and the others walked over to Lydie.
"Yeah, but let's hear more about this dream." Kai said as they listen to Lydie.
"Let me just say, the Green Ninja is awesome…for a guy who sends your father to his death." Lydie said with some resentment of what the Green Ninja to her father, before she begins to tell them about her dream.
Up on the icy mountains of the frozen wastes, the Fangpyre and Lloyd are making their way to the Hypnobrai. "Go!" Lloyd ordered as he rode with Fangtom on a Bite-Cycle.
Meanwhile at the top, a Hypnobrai scout saw the Fangpyre army approaching and gasped before rushing back towards his tribe as Skales and Selma stood at the front. "It'sss jussst as we feared General, the Fangpyre are free." The scout reported as he kneeled before his superior, "And what's more, the Boy is with them."
Skales groaned. "That boy certainly doesssn't know when to give up? Doesss he?" He asked as he turned to Selma.
"You did banish him, Ssskales." Selma said with a shrug, "Regardlessss, I'm curiousss how he managed to find the Fangpyre's tomb?" She wondered.
"How isss not important, what mattersss now isss to show Lloyd and the Fangpyre, that I will not tolerate tressspasssersss on my land!" He said before turning to his army, "Charge!" He ordered as the Hypnobrai advanced.
In the distance Lloyd saw the Hypnobrai approaching, "The Hypnobrai, now to teach them a lesson for portraying Lloyd Garmadon!" He declared before turning to Fangtom, "Uh, do your thing, Fangtom, I let you out of your hole for a reason."
"Attack!" Fangtom ordered as the other Fangpyres cheered while they advance to the top and the Hypnobrai was coming down. Little did Lloyd know was that Fangtom intended on leading the Hypnobrai himself once they're general was defeated and disposing of the boy when they were done.
Soon both tribes stopped in the middle and the Fangpyre General hopped off the Bite-Cycle to meet with the Hypnobrai General until he suddenly realized the General and the second in command leading them were not the ones he was expecting as his rage quickly changed to joy.
Skales and Selma quickly recognized him as well, "Fangtom?" They asked with smiles.
"Skales, Selma, my old chums!" Fangtom general said with joy, catching Lloyd off guard. "I didn't think I'd be fighting you two." Both generals came close and fist-bumped each other while Selma walked up next to Skales and Fangtom kissed her hand with each head. "Hm, moved up in the world, have we?"
"If it isn't Fangtom!" Skales said with a smile. "Of all the cold-blooded to creep up on usss, I am glad that it is an old friend."
"It hasss been a long time Fangtom." Selma said with a bright smile. "And ssstill the same Fangpyre General we know?" She asked playfully.
"And I sssee that you two are now leading your tribe…and together might I asssk, hmm?" Fangtom asked with a grin.
"Well, Skales have chosen me after Ssslithraaa ssstepped down asss General." Selma said with a slight blushed while rubbing the back of her head.
"And every General needsss a sssecond in command to help lead." Skales said with a smile towards Selma as she gave a slight chuckle.
Lloyd was confused by all of this, however. "Wait, I thought you were enemies. Not friends!" Lloyd pointed out, a little confused by this revelation.
"Young Garmadon, you ssshould know that we've known each other way back before we were sssealed in the tombsss." Selma pointed out.
"We were at war when Ssslithraa lead their tribe," Fangtom explained. "But seeing that Skales and Selma are now leading them... Well, I don't see why we can't be comrades." He added with a shrug as Lloyd shook his head in disbelief.
"Had you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or, Mambo-the-First forbid, the Anacondrai, then we would've had a tussle," Skales told Lloyd with a casual smile.
"A tussle? A tussle?! But I'm Lloyd Garmadon!" Lloyd remind, "Bringer of evil!" He added but was even more shocked as the three ignored him as Fangtom's own second-in-command joined them, who looked like Fangtom but with one head.
"Heh-heh. What should we do with him?" Skales asked the Fangpyres and his Lieutenant.
"I was thinking I could turn him into one of us." Fangtom suggested as Lloyd realized that Fangtom was planning on betraying him from the start.
"Hm, no, the little tyke is pretty useless." Skales told his friend.
"Plusss, I don't think green sssuits him." Selma added before turning to the Fangpyre Lieutenant, "Fangor, do you have any suggestions?" She added.
"Maybe we should just use him as a training dummy for young onesss?" Fangor suggested as Lloyd didn't like the ideas they were suggesting.
"Nah, they wouldn't learn too much from a twerp like him." Skales dismissed.
"What if you two hypnotize him and make him think he's a pig?" Fangtom asked with a chuckle Lloyd decided to sneak away.
"Or perhaps a headlesss chicken on roller-ssskatesss?" Fangor suggested.
"That'd be pretty funny." Skales said in amusement as the four snakes laughed.
"Ha-ha! Can you imagine?" Fangtom asked.
"I mussst admit, that would be pretty amusssing." Selma said with a chuckle.
Lloyd hopped off the Bite-Cycle and tried to make run for it before the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyre noticed him trying to flee surrounded him.
Lloyd quickly jumped on a tail of the Rattle-Copter as they were getting close. The Copter however noticed him and growled before it flung Lloyd into the air.
Lloyd yelled before he landed face first into the snow. He mumbled as he struggled to get out, now dealing with being betrayed twice in a row.
Back at the Bounty, Lydie is still explaining about her dream as the boys listened carefully.
"And after Dad fell, I turned around, and saw his fist and eyes on fire with the falcon perched on his arm." Lydie finished telling them about her dream of the Green Ninja.
"Whoa." The boys said in awed.
"So I'm the Green Ninja." Kai breathed in awe.
"What are you talking about?" Cole questioned with a look. "He had incredible strength to lift that cargo to save her life." He pointed out. "It's me."
"No, no. Did you miss the part of the story where the guy pulled out Nunchucks?" Jay questioned as he brought out his Nunchucks. "I have Nunchucks."
"I'm afraid you are missing the part about the Green Ninja incredible agility and perfectly balanced hand to hand combat skills and the fact the Falcon she saw was on his arm." Zane reminded them, "So clearly it's me."
"I think we can cross Cole off the list." Jay jumped in. "I could've lift-" He was cut off.
"Whoa, cross me off the list?" Cole questioned while giving Jay a look. "Anyone can hold Nunchucks and get a bird to land on them." He pointed out.
"Oh brother." Lydie said while rubbing her head tiredly as Wu entered from below deck.
"Since you are not training," Wu started, which brought their attention. "You must have already found the answer to my riddle." He said. "What is the best way to defeat an enemy?" He asked them his riddle again.
"Oh crud." Lydie muttered, realizing that she and the boys had been so distracted, they haven't been training or found the answer to Wu's riddle. Panicking she decided to answer the first thing that came to mind, "Umm, yes uncle! The best way to defeat your enemy is…to…train?" She guessed hopefully with a nervous smile while the boys facepalmed themselves.
"Feeble and incorrect!" Wu answered quickly as the others lowered their heads in shame. "Maybe more training will help you focus." He said to them as he walked backwards to below deck again. "Remember what happened to your vehicles when you lost focus. A razor-sharp weapon is an extension of a razor-sharp mind." He advised as the door closed in front of him.
The five then groaned as they knew that they will be training for a while until they figure out the answer of the riddle. "How am I suppose to focus when we don't know who's the Green Ninja is?" Jay asked the others.
"I don't want to be training all day." Cole complained. "Let's work together on this riddle. We can figure it out." He said as they got back to training.
Lloyd was walking through the sea of sand while looking at the map, still sore about how he got backstabbed twice in a row, "Had you released the Constrictai, the Venomari, or Mambo-the-first forbid, the Anacondrai! Then we would've had a tussle." He mocked Skales' words.
He then looked up from the map and saw a structure that had a stone shaped like a snake fang, making it look bigger than it looks like. "I found it!" Lloyd cheered as he rushed up to the structure as he brushed at the door. "The Anacondrai. The most feared and powerful Serpentine of them all. And if they're afraid of the Anacondrai, then the Anacondrai is what they're gonna get!" Lloyd declared, doing his laugh, knowing that if he could command the strongest Serpentine Tribe of all, the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre would have no choice but to beg him for forgiveness.
But once Lloyd opened the tomb, he saw that the room had little light and took out a flashlight. He looked around, but he saw nothing but old weapons, flags and skeleton bones scattered around the area.
Lloyd grew nervous, wondering where the Anacondrai are, which he can guess the skeleton bones are theirs since he saw a few from the Hypnobrai's tomb, but there should still be some around.
And then, a couple of faces appeared behind Lloyd as they hissed at him and turned visible, revealing to be two purple snakes with black and gold markings with gems on their heads. Startled by the two, Lloyd screamed and fell to the floor as he dropped his flashback.
The two Anacondrai showed their full appearance, which revealed that one of them is a male and the other was female. The male Serpentine has a long neck and the female has a golden necklace with a ruby center in it.
"Our sssinceressst apologiesss, young man." The male Anacondrai spoke first as he and the female slithered around Lloyd.
"We didn't mean to ssscare you." The female said as she picked up Lloyd's flashlight. "I'm afraid due to our unfortunate appearances, a first impression with humansss isss never a good one."
"You do tend to have an unsssettling effect on people when you look ssso magnificent as usss." The male said in agreement.
"Why thank you." The female said, as she give Lloyd his flashlight back. "Oh, I believe you dropped thisss." She said as Lloyd took his flashlight. "There you go."
"Uh, thank you." Lloyd said nervously as he look around the tomb. "Uh, what happened to the others?" He asked them, want to know what happened to the rest of the Anacondrai tribe, thinking these two are the only sole survivor.
"We killed them and ate their liversss." The male Anacondrai said with a dark grin as Lloyd gaped at him in horror while the female gave the male a disapproving frown. "Joking! They're all fine."
"They tend to keep to themssselves around ssstrangers." The female told the boy before holding a hand to her mouth, "Chapsss, it'sss alright. Thisss child meansss no harm." She called out.
Then one by one, some of the Anacondrai started appearing as they turned visible and gave hissing sounds as they circled around Lloyd.
Lloyd noted that they wore gold armor or jewelry like the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre to specify which gender they were, but also noted that unlike the other two tribes, every Anacondrai had a tail in place of legs, which he knew only the General of the tribe should have.
"Wait, why do all of you have tails? I thought only the Generals have tails." Lloyd said in confusion.
The female Anacondrai laughed, "He thinksss we're like the other Ssserpentine." She said to her tribe as they all laugh along with her. After calming down she places a hand on Lloyd, "Young man, we are the Anacondrai, the mightiest Serpentine tribe in all the land and as such we break the rulesss the rest of our kind must follow." She said.
"Huh, that's something I can get behind unlike the other Generals." Lloyd said with a smile. "Actually come to think of it, where's your General?" He asked them as he looked around to find which one was the leader. "Because with all of you having tails, it might be hard to tell." He pointed out.
"Oh, that would be me." The male said while gesturing to himself as he held Lloyd's shoulder and slither arounded. "We once followed another Anacondrai named Arcturus who was the mightest of us all, but sadly the poor unfortunate soul and his commanders were condemned to worser fate, I imagine right now they're nothing more than scales and bones."
"May their sssoulsss ressst in peace." The female said while closing her eyes as she and the others bowed their heads.
The male Anacondrai then turned to Lloyd, "And who might you be our little appetize-" He stopped himself after realizing what he almost said. "Uh, I mean, friend?" He corrected.
"Lloyd Garmadon, Son of Lord Garmadon, Brother of Lydie Garmadon." Lloyd answered, not hearing the near-slip up, "And future Dark Lord of Ninjago!" He declared ominous.
"Garmadon?" The female asked in surprise. "We haven't heard that name in a long time." She said as Pythor nodded in agreement.
"How do you know him?" Lloyd asked.
"You could say we are uh, aqunittancesss of your father." the Male Anacondrai explained, "And you are his heir to the throne of Ninjago?" He then shivered, "Ooh-hoo-hoo, how deliciousssly evil!"
"If we had feet, ooh, we'd be trembling in our boots." The female added with a chuckle as the other joined in.
"And uh, who are you two? I never caught your names." Lloyd asked the Two Anacondrai politely.
"Humbly, I am Pythor P. Chumsworth." The male Anacondrai introduced himself humbly.
"And I am Burmesssia, Daughter of General Arcturusss." The female Anacondrai introduced.
Lloyd blinked in confusion, "Wait, shouldn't that make you the General? Why is Pythor instead?" He asked.
"Well, I wasss too young to lead the tribe before my father disssappeared and I didn't feel ready, so Pythor, my father's brother and my uncle, wasss entrusted with leadership and to train me until I wasss ready." She said nervously as she slightly shivered frightingfully.
"Which isss why until Burmessia isss ready, I mussst remain asss General." Pythor said proudly before turning to the rest of the tribe, "Isssn't that right, chapsss?" he asked.
The rest of the Anacondrai bowed their heads. "Yesss, General." They said.
Pythor then smiled pleasantly at Lloyd, "And ssseeing as how you freed usss, we are forever in your debt." He said graciously and bowed his head.
"Really?" Lloyd asked hopefully before he gave a suspicious look. "You're not gonna trick me?" He questioned.
"Oh, why would we want to trick you?" Pythor asked amusingly. "Though we have eachother, we hardly have any friendsss." He said solemnly.
"It'sss true. Being the most feared Ssserpentine tribe of all hasss the disadvantage of not having friendsss." Burmesia explained solemnly as well.
"Whoa. I hardly have any friends too." Lloyd said in joy, finding him more relatable to this tribe than he thought.
"Really?" Burmesia asked in surprise.
"My, it'sss a sssmall realm after all." Pythor commented.
"Hey, would you all like to become my ultimate army?" Lloyd asked with an eager smile as he turned away from Pythor as the General smacked his lips. "I've been betrayed by the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyres, and I'm looking to get a little revenge on my older sister and her ninja too." Lloyd added not seeing Pythor, Burmesia and the a few others getting ready to eat him.
Burmesia then noticed the map on Lloyd's belt. Seeing this, she held him back and silently pointed to the map to him. Pythor saw this as a new plan came to them.
"Hm. We love revenge!" Pythor cheered excitedly.
"Indeed we." Burmesia said playing along. "Oh, you know, Floyd-" She started.
"It's Lloyd." Lloyd corrected her with a small smile, not offended one bit since he understands they just met.
"Sssorry." Burmesia apologized with a sheepish smile as she guided Lloyd away. "I feel thisss isss the ssstart of a beautiful friendship." She said, "You go and get ready, and you, me and some of the boys will go into town for some mischief."
As Lloyd walked, Pythor grabbed Burmesia by the arm and turned her to him, "Thisss isss the chance we've been waiting for, Burmesssia," He said lowly as he smiled at the Serpentine girl, "The boy hasss already done half our work for usss, get me that map ssso that I may finish it."
Burmesia nodded. "I'll try. But it'sss not going to be easy to get that map. Though, why betray the boy? He freed usss and-"
"And he isss alssso the ssson of one of thossse who sssealed us away in the firssst place!" Pythor snapped as Burmesia jolted back before he sighed and gave an apologetic look, "I apologize, you know I've been trying my bessst to look out for you eversssince we lossst your father, yesss?" He asked her with a hand to her chin.
"Yesss." Burmesia said honestly.
"I know it doesn't ssseem like I do but I truly do care about you," Pythor said genuinely, "I'm only trying to do what isss bessst for our kind. Ssso we musst take the risssk first chance we get. And we mussst have the map to open the ressst of the tombsss." He pointed out.
"And then, we'll be able to achieve father'sss dream? Of uniting the Five Tribes and the Surface Dwellers, in peace and prosperity for our kind." Burmesia asked hopefully.
Pythor paused for a moment before he spoke with a small smile. "You, have my word." He said in slight strain, but Burmesia didn't catch that tone as she gave a small smile at Pythor.
"I'll do my best then." Burmesia said as she bowed her head and slithered to get Lloyd. When she turned her back however, Pythor turned away and gave a sly smirk.
"Now, to learn for myssself what hasss happened in the world while we've been away." He said while giving a sly chuckle.
Back on the Destiny's Bounty, the Ninjas we're grunting as they continue to train while also trying to figure out the riddle. Zane was practicing his balance, Jay was working on some flipping, Cole was hitting a punching bag, and Lydie and Kai were sparring with bamboo staffs.
"Anyone got a solution to sensei's riddle?" Cole asked as he grunted from each punch.
"It can't be that hard." Jay said. "What's the best way to defeat an enemy?"
"Zane, you're smart. What is it?" Kai asked as he blocked a kick from Lydie.
"I do not know, but I sense that sensei is going to keep us here if we don't work together and find an answer." Zane said as Jay flipped pass him.
"That bothers me, because while we're here working, that means the enemy is playing." Cole said as he gave a punch so hard the bo was sent flying.
"Who knows what my brother is doing. But with him and those snakes, anything is possible." Lydie said as she spun around and did downwards strike at Kai which he blocked, "But it will fall apart as long as we're working together…" She trailed when she realized what she said and an idea came to her and others.
"That's it!" They all cheered with smiles.
Out in Ninjago however, Lloyd and some of the younger Anacondrai, including Burmesia, were literally playing. The first thing they did was have a race on some scooters they stole, trashing the streets as much as they could and laughing the whole way and ignored the indignant shouting from the angry villagers.
The next thing they did is taking out a sign that says 'Do not touch the grass' as Burmesia removed the sign as the six chuckled as Burmesia gestured Lloyd to the grass as Lloyd as the young boy jumped on the grass and rolled around in it as Burmesia and the other four Anacondrai joined in.
Then they took a break for some ice cream, which they stole the ice cream cart from the vendor as Lloyd held up a cone that has all the flavors as the vendor gave a yell.
"Uh, hey, you can't do that!" The vendor angrily yelled as they moved away from him.
A little bit later, the six were at a pond as they tossed some rocks, which a couple fell in the water but the rest hit two toy boats as the boys who were playing with them started crying as the six laughed at their mischief.
Then they committed the cruelest but oldest evil deed in the book: Taking candy from babies. Literally, they were taking candy from babies as they place them in a wagon full of ill-gotten sugary goods as the babies started crying as they kept going.
After leaving the village, the six kept laughing, more specifically Burmesia and Lloyd, as they walked back to the Anacondrai tomb with enough candy and other food and weapons for the whole tribe since they haven't eaten much in a long time.
Sometime later, Lloyd and Burmeisa are laying on their backs besides each other while the other Anacondrai and Pythor are having the first feast they had in years as the two mischief makers had come down in a sugar crash.
"Burmesia, your the best henchwoman, a mastermind could ever have." Lloyd said with a smile.
"Lloyd, you're the bessst masstermind a henchwoman could ever have." Burmesia replied as the two chuckled to each other. "You know, not only that, but you are the very firssst friend I hung out with in many yearsss." She commented.
"Really? me too!" Lloyd added with a smile.
"I sssee that you two are hitting it off quite well." Pythor said, slithering up to them with a drumstick in hand, "Though tell us Lloyd, why isss it you have no friendsss?" He asked.
"Yeah, why isss that?" Burmesia asked as well. "I mean, for usss, we were in tombed, but for you, how come you never made any friendsss until now?" She asked in wonder.
"Well, I could've have friends back at my Boarding School for Bad Boys, but I decided to run away and never let them see me again." Lloyd answered while giving his evil laugh.
Though his answer put the two off, "Yesss, but why would run away from making friendsss?" Pythor asked in confusion.
"Yeah, everybody needsss friendsss, even the sssonsss and daughtersss of Generals and Tyrantsss." Burmesia added.
"Well, uh, maybe I didn't run away." Lloyd admitted in slight sadness. "Maybe I, uh- I got kicked out." He honestly said as he sat up.
"WHAT?!" Everyone in the tomb exclaimed in shock.
"From the Dharkley's Boarding Ssschool for Bad Boys?" Burmesia asked in shock.
"I don't believe it." Pythor said in surprise. "I hear they are the breeding ground for the ruly dessspicable. And if you asssk usss, ho-ho, you are as much a handful asss our dear Burmesssia here." He commented, patting the Anacondrai girl's head.
"Seriously?" Lloyd asked in surprise.
"It'sss true, I'm pretty much of a bad girl myssself." Burmesia said as she licked her lollipop. "And after what I sssaw in town, you are truly worthy of carrying your father'sss legacy."
"Well, thank you, guys." Lloyd said with a smile as he sat up but still frowned, "But they told me I wasn't bad enough. They said I lacked the amoral ambition to be one of tomorrow's masterminds." He explained.
"Well, you'll ssshow them." Burmesia said as she stood up.
"That's right, I will show them!" Lloyd declared as he stood up too.
Pythor then got an idea, "Then why don't we?" He suggested with a smirk.
"Uh, why don't we what?" Lloyd and Burmesia asked in confusion.
"Let's get revenge on the very school that rejected you, Lloyd, and remind Ninjago of the Anacondrai's might, Burmesia." Pythor suggested as he pulled the two in close. "And when the ninja come to the rescue, we'll have a trap laid out for them."
"A triple revenge?" Lloyd asked with an exciting smile.
"Are you serious, Pythor?" Burmesia asked as well with the same tone.
"Yes, a triple revenge." Pythor answered as the rest of the Anacondrai muttered to Pythor's plan in agreement as they found it interesting. "Get some rest, you two. Hijacking an ice cream truck is a lot for anyone, and if you're going to rule the world or lead a tribe,, well, ho-ho-ho, you'll both need to get your sleep." He advised the two.
"Well, you're right. We are pretty tied after causssing missschief today." Burmesia admitted as she gave a yawned.
"Oh, and one more thing, Lloyd." Pythor said.
"Yes?" Lloyd asked curiously.
"Everyone in this tribess is your friend." Pythor promised with charismatic smile.
Lloyd yawned and smiled "Oh, Pythor, Burmesia, you Anacondrai are the best." He said, giving the two a hug before lying down to sleep.
Pythor saw the map sticking out of Lloyd's pocket as he turned to Burmesia and gestured for her to take the map. She nodded and reached for the map but hesitated for a moment which gave Lloyd a chance to roll over and put the map out of their grasp.
Pythor quietly facepalmed himself while giving a disappointed look at Burmesia who gave a sheepish shrug for her screw up as she looked down at Lloyd as she smiled softly at him at how cute he is when he sleeps.
"Thisss wasss not how we planned it out, young lady." Pythor told the Anacondrai girl with a look.
"I know, uncle but, after ssspending so much time with Lloyd, I've begun to think we can ssstill be friendsss with the sssurface dwellersss. We can't live in hatred forever." Burmesia told Pythor with a hopeful expression.
Pythor shook his head and gave a serious look to her, "I'm afraid Lloyd may not be the friend you think he isss. To him, we are asss much Ssservants asss the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre." He said before handing her a scroll, "What'sss more, I went to sssee how much hasss changed in Ninjago sssince our inprisssionment and I've learned sssome, disssturbing truthsss about the fate of your father."
Burmesia was confused as she opened the scroll and read it. Inside were the details of the aftermath of the Serpentine Wars, when they were sealed away and her eyes grew wide when she read the part about her father's punishment, "No, no, it can't be." She tried to deny it as sadness filled her heart.
"I'm afraid it can be, my dear." Pythor said in guilt, unknowingly faking it to trick her. "I've sssearch every notesss and every hissstory books of Ninjago detailing our defeat sssay the exact ssame thing." He added as Burmesia shut her eyes and her hands trembled as they gripped the scroll, "I am truly sssorry, my niece." Pythor comforted, placing his hands on her shoulders.
Burmesia gave a shake breath before she opened her eyes and turned to Lloyd with a cold look, "Don't be," She said she turned back to the scroll, "I'll be better once the sssurface dwellers face jussstice for what they've done." She growled.
"And sssooon they will, my dear. Sssooon." Pythor promised with slight smirk on his face, seeing his plan was now in motion and now Burmesia is now in on it.
On the Destiny's Bounty, Wu is in his quarters working on a scroll as the door opened and the Ninja peeked inside.
Wu looked up and saw them as they come in. "Oh. You must have found the answer to what is the best way to defeat an enemy?" He asked his pupils.
"We have, sensei." Cole said with a smile.
"After some thinking, we can confidently say that the best way is-" Lydie started before turning to the others. "One three, boys. One, two…"
"Teamwork!" The five called in unison, bringing their fists in.
"Is this what you all think?" Wu asked as they all agreed. "Sadly, you are all wrong." He said as he went back to his scroll as the five groaned.
"Oh, you're killing us with that." Lydie complained as the five exit Wu's quarters and went outside. "I don't get it! The only reason we've won is because we all work together! If that's not the best way then what is?!" She asked.
"I'm starting to think whoever figure out this riddle can be the Green NInja for all I care." Cole complained before the alarm went off as the lights blimp red.
"What's that?" Jay asked in surprise.
"Who cares?" Kai said with a relief smile. "It's something else besides training." He said happily as the five went up to the brig. "Break it down for me, sis." He said to Nya.
"Lloyd and a new tribe of Serpentine have overtaken Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys." Nya told them.
"Lloyd's old school? Why would he attack there?" Lydie asked in surprise.
"That place is a cesspool for the crooked and the misbehave." Jay pointed out.
"Doesn't mean they don't need our help. Step on it." Kai said before Zane ran over a push the button. The sails popped open as rotors on the bottom turned on a fire underwater while everyone on board came out.
"NINJA-GO!" The fice ninjas shouted before the Destiny's Bounty took flight and flew towards Darkly's Boarding School for Bad Boys with Umbra following after hearing the Bounty take off.
Meanwhile at the Boarding school that is a tall building, the sound of Lloyd laughing as a door to a science class closed while a bunch of boys were tied up while two familiar skeletons, Nuckal and Kruncha were also tied up and hanging upside down with tape over their mouths with Two Anacondrai keeping watch over them.
In the halls, Lloyd, Burmesia and Pythor were on skateboards as they ride through the halls.
"Heh-heh. Hey, how are the booby traps?" Lloyd asked Pythor.
"Every door, window, and hole into thisss place are ssspring loaded." Pythor told him.
"And we've got guardsss posssted at every entrance and view pointing," Burmesia added with a grin, "There'sss no way they'll get anywhere clossse to usss without ussss ssseeing them firssst."
"Ah, good." Lloyd said before frowning, "I'm sick and tired of those ninjas and my pain-in-the-neck-goodie-two-shoes sister sneaking their way into my evil doings." he complained as they kept skateboarding.
Outside and high above the school, the Bounty hovers over it as Kai, Lydie and Zane looked down at the school.
"Looks quiet down there." Zane said before looked back at the others. "Should we infiltrate using stealth?" He suggested.
"No, we've done that." Lydie said. "Lloyd might be ready for that after we sneakingly destroyed his treehouse." She pointed out, since she know her brother won't be fooled by the same mistake twice.
"What about using our golden weapons that turn into vehicles and Umbra?" Kai asked.
"I'm still working out the kinks on that." Cole said as he had his Spinjitzu vehicle out and was working on it.
"And using a dragon isn't very subtle or relented if they have defenses." Lydie added as she looked to her team, "Anyone have any other good ideas?" She asked them.
Jay then walked up and humped in thought, "Hm. Well, I have one idea, but you guys gotta trust me." He said with a smile under his hood.
The other four looked at him in concern and nervousness, "I feel scared." Lydie uttered in worry.
On the rooftop of the school, Lloyd paced around while Pythor and Burmesia stood with him and near a cannon.
"Relax, we've made the perfect trap." Pythor assured Lloyd. "We are in broad daylight ssso there isn't any shadowsss." He said.
"Pythor'sss right, Lloyd." Burmesia said in agreement. "But even if they could get in..." Lloyd then something on the ground go by fast.
"What's that!?" Lloyd shouted before he stepped aside and Pythor aim the cannon before firing a net at whatever Lloyd saw. The flew across the air before it landed on a small lizard.
"That wasss jussst a lizard, Lloyd." Burmesia said dully. "You are really jumpy right now."
"Oh, good. Yeah, good reflexes." Lloyd acted all cool. "I was just testing you. A Dark Lord needs servants that are always sharp," He said, not realizing he said the wrong words to Burmesia as he continued pacing, "Anyway, If I know sister and those Ninja, they're cleverly sneaking their way right past us at this very moment." He said, knowing that the Ninja were planing something really unexpected.
At that moment, the ninjas were on the anchor of the ship while they all but Jay looked extremely nervous.
"Thunder, I don't know about this idea." Lydie said nervously.
"Just hold on tight!"Jay shouted before he signaled aqua to drop the anchor.
Nya reached over to a button and the anchor dropped down as the ninja screamed while holding onto the Anchor for dear life.
Lloyd, Burmesia and Pythor looked up and saw them coming down, "Incoming!" Burmesia exclaimed as she, Pythor and Lloyd quickly moved before the anchor crashed through the roof.
The Anacondrai inside move out of the way of the anchor crashing through the second floor, and then the third. The ninja sigh, thinking it was over until crashing down to the second floor. The ninja coughed by the amount of dust that was kicked up before getting up.
"Okay, let's agree to never do that again." Cole said before they noticed that they fell to where the students, Nuckal, and Kruncha are, as the Anacondrai guarding them ran away after hearing the anchor crashing.
"Hostages." Lydie called out before turning to Cole. "Cole, if you please?" She ordered.
"Sure thing." Cole walked over to the students before he raised his scythe. The students panic as they thought he was going to do something to them before Cole swing his scythe and cut them free. "Stay out of school, kids." He told them as they ran out.
Lydie turned her attention to Nuckal and Kruncha. "Well, well, well what have we here? Kruncha and Nuckal. Substitute teachers, eh?" She asked with an amused smirk under her hood. "If we cut you down, we better not catch you causing trouble in Ninjago again." Both skeletons nodded as they agreed and just want to be let down. "Or else." She warned before snapping her fingers and Cole cut them down and they fell.
They quickly got up and bumped into each before they ran out.
"He's on the top floor! Let's get him!" Kai shouted as he pointed to Lloyd on the rooftop as he was looking down from the hole they made.
"Lloyd!" Lydie called out. "Trying to get back on your old school, huh? That's a new level, even for you." She taunted. "This time, your coming with us!" She promised as Lloyd gulped at what she meant.
"NINJA-GO!" The Ninja all shouted as they split up and went to the top in different ways. Zane and Kai Spinjitzu'ed up the stairs, Cole and Jay climbed on the Anchor and Lydie decided to go with something simpler: the elevator.
She pressed the button to the highest floor and listened to the elevator music as she went up.
On the stairs, Kai and Zane were knocking away the Anacondrai in their path with their Spinjitzu as they reached the door to the top floor. They kicked down the door and charged in, only to get stuck in a green slime-like glue by Anacondrai at the door. "Ugghh!" Kai groaned in disgust.
Zane grunted as he tried to break free. "I can't move." He said as an Anacondrai solider laugh at them as Lloyd laughed as well as the Anacondrai slithered away while the two looked a little frightful at his appearance.
"What kind of Serpentine was that?" Kai asked nervously.
"I believe that was an Anacondrai." Zane theorized.
Cole and Jay kept climbing the chain as he was close to Lloyd, who gave a frightful gasped as he moved away as the two kept climbing.
In the elevator, Lydie kept waiting as she was getting sleepy and bored by the waiting and the elevator's soft music as her head was feeling heavy and her eyelids were closing as she shook her head to stay awake.
"They should really get better music." Lydie commented.
Cole and Jay made it to the top floor where Pythor and another Anacondrai were waiting for them. Jay gasped at the sight of Pythor, "Whoa, now you're one big snake." He commented in amazement of Pythor's size.
"Compliments later, Jay." Cole said as he twirl his Scythe as Jay spinned his Nunchucks. "Prepare to eat dust and get bolts." He said.
Pythor nodded to the Anacondrai next to him as she nodded back and pulled some strings, causing the two Ninja to trip and drop their weapons as Cole was hit by a dust bomb beneath and started coughing and Jay got pelted by a ton of nuts and bolts and spat them out as the two snakes slithered away.
The elevator opened as Lydie flipped out and ran next to the two boys. "Oh, Lloyd's got a tribe of purple Serpentines with him." Cole manage to say through his coughs.
"Watch out for booby traps, Lydie!" Jay said as he got the last of the nuts and bolts out of his mouth.
Lydie looked around before she saw Pythor and the Anacondrai slithering away as Pythor goes up while the other went down. "Whoa! Those are Anacondrai. The baddest and toughest Serpentine in Ninjago." She commented in surprise, "Lloyd was really shooting high this time." She added as she followed Pythor upstairs to the room.
On the roof, Lloyd and Burmesia were waiting for Pythor, or rather Burmesia was waiting while Lloyd ran around in panic as he knew it wasn't just Pythor who was on his way.
"They're coming! They're coming! They're coming!" Lloyd called out in panic.
"Will you ssstop panicking! It'sss not gonna work." Burmesia said in annoyance.
Pythor then came up and closed the trap door and threw a broken piece of wood on it to lock it down. The three backed away as Lydie flipped over the trap door open as she landed on her feet and twirl her bo staff around.
"Sorry, but it's lights out for you!" Lydie quipped, "Now unless you snakes can fly, hand over my little brother!"
Lloyd then hid behind his Anacondrai friends in worry, "Do something you two!" He told both Anacondrai as Burmesia saw the map in his pocket.
"Jussst for the record Lloyd," Burmesia started, eyeing the map, "You already freed the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tribesss?" She asked.
"Y-yeah, I did." Lloyd answered.
Burmesia smirked, "That'sss all I needed to know." She said before snatching the map out of Lloyd's pocket and handing it to Pythor.
Pythor chuckled and took the map, "Excellent work, my niece." He said before opening the map and looking it over.
Lloyd saw this and turned to Burmesia in shock, "Huh, wh-what are you doing?" He asked in hurt and confusion, "I-I though we were friends!" He said hurtfully.
"We were, until I found out what you're father did to my father and the other generalsss!" Burmesia yelled at him in rage.
"W-What?" Lloyd asked in confusion.
"Don't act like you don't know." Pythor spoke next. "All you wanted wasss to make us and the rest of the Serpentine your ssslave." He said as he and Burmesia slithered off.
"And to think we got off to a good ssstart." Burmesia said in a betrayal hurtful look. "But in the end, I wasss only a ssservant to you."
"Well, sssorry for you our dear boy, we have other plansss." Pythor said as he began to turn invisible, "And Burmesssia? Show Lloyd what we do to deciversss." He said before disappearing completed.
Burmesia nodded before turned to Lloyd one last time as he looked at her pleadingly. "Goodbye, Lloyd." she said in hate before she swatted her tail at Lloyd, who screamed.
Lydie went wide eyes at what was happening and remembered her dream of when her father fell to his doom. "LLOYD!" She called out as she ran to him as Burmesia took this as a chance to disappear as well.
Lloyd was already falling, until Lydie jumped and grabbed him, pulling him to her chest. "I got you!" She said before realizing she was falling to before she felt someone grab her by the legs.
"Gah! And we got you!" Kai's voice was heard Lydie looked up and saw Kai and the other boys, who gotten out of their traps, had caught her in a human chain with Cole holding onto the roof.
"Now let's get you two up." Cole said as he pulled his friends up with a grunt as one by one, they each went back onto the roof as Umbra and the Bounty lowered next to them as Wu and Nya are on deck.
"Is everyone alright?" Nya asked in concern.
Kai gave thumbs up, "All good, sis," He confirmed as he turned to Lydie still holding Lloyd, who was trembling, close to her, "How's your brother?" He asked.
"He's fine physically, but mentally, I don't know." Lydie said as she comforted her brother the best she can, removing his hood and rubbing his blonde hair. "That snake nearly killed my brother by tossing him off the roof." She stated as she held him close.
Lloyd let out some weeping breaths and buried his face in his shirt, "S-She, she said that, w-w-we were, friends." He mumbled tearfully from both his near death and the most painful betrayal yet.
"Ssshh. She's gone now, Lloyd. It's okay, you're safe. Sshh." Lydie said as she tried to sooth her brother, already knowing that he was betrayed three times in a row by the Serpentine.
The other Ninja looked at Lloyd in sympathy, seeing that he's been through a lot, "Aw, poor kid." Jay said sadly.
"What should we do? Lloyd can't attend here anymore and he got nowhere else to go." Cole pointed out.
"And we can't punish him for what he did, he's already gone through enough." Kai added, knowing Lloyd's gone through enough punishment.
Wu hummed and walked towards Lydie, "Lydie, I cannot excuse Lloyd for what he's done but as his sister, I can offer to you the choice of what the best punishment for him is." He said as he brushed Lloyd's hair.
Lydie thought for a moment as she looked down at her brother before looking at the others, giving a thought for a moment as she gave a small smile as she brushed her brother's head. "I know exactly that is a fitting punishment for Lloyd." She said softly as Lloyd looked at his sister in confusion.
Later that night as the Destiny's Bounty rests on a mountain top, Lloyd lays in a bed next to Lydie as she finishing telling him a story. "'And that is why Jack the rabbit never trust a snake.' The end." She said as she closed the book.
"Oh, if dad had read me that book, I would never have made that mistake. I'm sorry, Lydie." Lloyd said as Lydie smiled down at him.
The ninjas, Wu and Nya watched through the doorway as the boys gave confused looks on their faces while Wu and Nya smiled at the sight.
"Don't apologize, Lloyd," Lydie said as she pulled him close, "I'm sure if mom and dad were here, it would be the very first story they'd ever read to you." She said as she gave him a kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight, little brother." She said.
"Goodnight, big sis." Lloyd said as he fell asleep and Lydie smiled down at him with an arm around him.
The others then walked quietly, "Aww, for a little troublemaker, he sure is cute." Nya cooed.
Cole then looked at Lydie, "Gotta hand it to you, Captain, you have some pretty weird ideas for punishments." He whispered.
"Yeah, but it appears it's just what Lloyd needed." Zane said as they looked down at the boy, "I can't imagine what it must've been like to be betrayed by someone you thought was your friend."
"There is no greater pain, than a blow to the heart." Wu said as he looked at his nephew in sympathy.
Lydie nodded and turned to her friends, "Also guys, we won't have to do anymore training because I finally figured out the best way to defeat an enemy." She with a smile.
"You did?!" The boys exclaimed in shock.
"Shhh!" Lydie, Nya and Wu hissed and gestured to Lloyd.
"Sorry." The boys whispered sheepishly.
"Well then my niece, do you know what it is?" Wu asked with a small smile.
Lydie nodded and smiled at her brother, "It's to make them your friend." She said softly.
"Ah." The boys all said quietly, now understanding what the riddle mean and the purpose of it as they all looked down at Lloyd, who is sleeping peacefully.
Nya then gestured them out, "Let's let him rest." She said, "Tomorrow, we track down the Anacondrai before they open the last two tombs."
The Ninja nodded and walked out the room for some rest and prepare for tomorrow. Wu stayed for a moment as he patted Lloyd's head and smiled at Lydie, "Your father would've been very proud of you today, my niece." He said before bowing her goodnight and walking out of the room while Nya went to get ready for bed too.
Lydie looked at Lloyd and remembered her father's last words before he left the Underworld, 'Take care of your brother, my daughter.' His voice echoed in her mind again as Lydie smiled warmly. "I will, dad. I promise." She whispered quietly as she watched her little brother snuggle closer to her.
Three Serpentine tribes may have been free right now, and the Green Ninja's identity had still yet to be revealed, but the Ninja's family just got a little bit bigger and might take some time for adjusting to it but they are going to be good friends and family with Lloyd.
