Chapter 1:

The carriage was silent as it headed to royal academy. James was wondering why his stepsiblings were being so cold to each other. He heard the rain hitting the window of the carriage as Chris took a breath. He watched as Sofia took something out of her pocket seeing it was the amulet she took from Chris's neck.

"Look does it matter if I switch places with myself, we have been doing this for about a year and no one ever noticed the difference!"

James blinked as Chris shouted that out and noticed Sofia rubbing her forehead. He crossed his arms and looked at Amber who wasn't paying attention to how Chris and Sofia were acting. He coughed into his hand to get everyone's attention

"Is this about Chris switching with the version of him from the other world?"

Chris was shocked looking at James and chuckled. He looked to Sofia who also had a shocked look on her face. He looked out the window of the carriage and then back at James

"How long have you known James about the other world and what I was up to?"

James rolled his eyes and sighed taking out Chris's journal. He noticed Chris went quiet and opened the book. He cleared his throat and began to read from a random page

"So I found this amulet while exploring a cave that was on the castle grounds, when I touched it I found myself in another world and the amulet crumbled to dust!". " I left the cavern and saw the royal castle had a government in charge since the royal family gave up being royalty and I walked around the town I bumped into myself and he pickpocketed me!".

Sofia looked to Chris who nervously rubbed the back of his head and seemed embarrassed. She placed he right hand on her chin and shrugged her shoulders. She hugged Chris and noticed he tried to pickpocket her.

"Really Chris I still have the astral amulet in my hand and James keep reading!"

Chris sighed as a girl dressed as a court jester broke through the window and took the journal from James's hands. He pouted his face as the girl ruffled his hair. He noticed looks from his sister and stepbrother.

"Master Chris I assume you kept your word and haven't told the other you or your family about the agreement with master lynx!"

Chris soughed and glared at Harle and fell back into the carriage seats. He looked away from Harle. He felt rage since he couldn't share this with himself or write down what happened after he got back to this world after stealing the astral amulet from Kid with himself after they started switching places every now and then.

"Can I speak freely for the moment Harle!'

Harle noticed Chris was annoyed and looked at Chris's family. She took a seat in between James and Amber. She smiled and nodded fine while looking through Chris's journal. She noticed the amulet of Avalor but didn't notice the astral amulet in Sofia's hands.

"Look Harle I kept my word to master lynx by keeping tabs on kid since you two saved my life after I got poisoned by threatening my life and my family if I don't keep working for you and can't even tell anyone is driving me crazy that's why for the past month I kept switching with myself every day so I didn't have to think about our agreement!"

Harle chuckled and held out her hand and smiled. She nodded as Chris took her hand. She noticed Sofia stepped in between them as her amulet glowed and kid appeared in the carriage. She brought Chris close to her and nodded thanks as he tossed a smoke bomb to cover their escape.

Sofia looked at Kid who was confused as the smoke cleared and handed her the astral amulet. She nodded as Kid took the amulet.

"My name is Sofia you know the other world version of me whose family gave up being royalty!"

Kid nodded and was lost in thought why did Chris help Harle. She then listened as Sofia explained what happened before her amulet of Avalor summoned her to their world.

"Chris he should have told us, me and the other Sofia knew the other Chris that was her brother was happy but the Chris from your world who was royalty seemed mad and angry all of the time but pretended to be happy, so that's why lynx was threatening him and his family after lynx and Harle saved his life so Sofia wanna help me get Chris back and give him a piece of our minds!"

Sofia nodded and took a breath and noticed James and Amber wanted to help as well. She closed her eyes and thought for a second. She then opened her eyes as the carriage arrived at Royal Academy. She noticed Chris was sitting on the steps as the rain stopped. He looked at them and smiled.

"Kid take good care of my family I have no choice but to help master lynx now tell the other me I am sorry as well also please explain the other differences of the world to Sofia!"

Sofia watched as Chris took Harle hand again and tossed a smoke bomb. She felt tears in her eyes and nodded thanks as Kid, James, and Amber hugged her. She noticed Kid crossed her arms and seemed annoyed.

"So kid I know the differences for my family so what other parts of the other world differ from this one?"

Kid nodded and looked at the astral amulet and took Sofia hand and used it to bring them to the other world. Kid noticed Sofia was surprised as her brother of the other world ran up to kid and her.

"Where's your version of me other Sofia, we were supposed to switch?"

Kid hit the other worlds Chris on top of the head and explained. She noticed the other Chris cross his arms and give a look to follow him. She took Sofia hand and followed the other Chris to a forest that had a secret base he made with the other version of him picking up a sealed envelope.

"The other me said to open this if something happened!"
