5 Days Later

Location: Kalevala

Aurora's POV

I sighed in annoyance as the doctor examined my eye. After I returned to Coruscant from Carlac, I was immediately sent back to Kalevala, where I was met by my mother who demanded an explanation as to why I had a black eye, plus we all were going on a holiday for a little bit, after all of the excitement going on in my family's life, we all could use a vacation. My explanation was that I fell in the apartment on Coruscant in the dark one night as I forgot to leave the lights on, thankfully, she bought it and immediately had the doctors examine me to make sure nothing was broken.

"There is slight bruising, but no orbital fracture…consider yourself lucky You're Highness." The doctor explained before walking out of my room.

As soon as the doctor left my room, I quickly glanced over my left eye. My vision was better than it was the day I got it, but it still was bruised quite a bit. After I took my hair out of the bun I had it in, I walked over to my bed, crawled under the blankets, and decided to fall asleep. I must've fallen asleep quick because the next thing that woke me up was someone barging in my room.

"Ro, wake up! We're heading to Coruscant." I heard my brother say as I slowly opened my eyes.

"I literally was just there, why are we going back?" I asked as I bit back a yawn and sat up.

"One of her friends died…a Jedi, I think his name is Obi-Wan." Korkie explained and at that moment, time froze.

It was like I was getting hit by a meteor shower, getting shot in the chest 20 times, and getting stabbed in the back all at once. It felt like the walls were closing in on me. It felt like I couldn't breathe. There was no possible way it was true. I immediately got up out of bed and opened the door to the hallway, but as soon as I heard my mother's crying voice, I knew it was true.

I started to walk down the hall, ignoring my brother's voice calling for me before I broke out into a run. As I ran through the hallways of the palace, I heard servants and guards call for me to ask why I was in distress, but I ignored them. I continued to run until I was outside, and then I broke out into a sprint as I passed into the gardens. Eventually I came across my favorite spot in the garden, under the large tree, and fell to the ground. That's when I broke down. I screamed in angst, cried harder than I ever cried before, and mentally beat myself up by the fact that I wasn't there to save him.

Eventually, I calmed myself down enough to go and make sure my mother was somewhat stable, and thankfully, she was, though I never saw her this depressed in a very long time. Within hours, my mother, my brother, Zara, Geenine, and I were all on a shuttle heading to Coruscant. The ride to Coruscant was silent, except for the occasional beeping coming from Geenine who was trying to bring up conversation…but right now, none of us wanted to talk.

Once we arrived at the apartment on Coruscant, we all went to our designated rooms to try and get some sleep, even though some of us knew we wouldn't be sleeping. That night, I cried myself to sleep, trying to figure out why and how he died…he was perfectly healthy when I saw him earlier in the week, so this was all too sudden. The next morning my mother, Korkie, and I all got ready for the funeral. I used makeup to cover up my eye to the best of my ability, but it was really of no use. The bruise was ugly, and no amount of makeup was able to cover all of it…but I did the best I could. I pulled my hair back into a bun and put on a very plain black long-sleeved dress, and once I glanced over my attire, I sighed in disbelief…this was happening. Once we arrived at the funeral, my mother started to break down as we stood around Obi-Wan's body. They gave him some decency as the corpse was covered with a white cloth…apparently traditional Jedi custom. Around him stood a few Jedi and people I didn't know, and a few I did including Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, Padme, Ahsoka, and Anakin. I glanced over to Anakin who had a look of anger on his face, almost like he was ready to murder someone…and quite frankly, I don't blame him, if he wanted to murder Obi-Wan's killer, he'd have to get in line. As my mother continued to cry, I noticed my brother grab her right hand to try and console her, but it didn't work. I did my best to hold back the tears, but I began to cry quietly, and when Ahsoka glanced over to me, I glanced back with a visible tear running down the right side of my face. She whispered something to Plo-Koon that I couldn't get because I was too far away, but as Obi-Wan's body descended into the floor, my anger ascended.

I was angry that he was dead, I was angry that I wasn't there, and I was so prepared to murder and hunt down whomever killed him.

After the funeral, my mother, brother, and Zara began their trek back to Kalevala while I stayed behind telling them that I had unfinished work to do in the Senate…which was a lie. After changing into my usual attire, I went to find Anakin and Ahsoka. As soon as I found them, I sat down across from both of them in the archives.

"Are you both alright?" I asked.

Anakin shrugged and Ahsoka did the same.

"Don't worry, I have a plan." I explained.

"What kind of plan?" Ahsoka asked in confusion.

"I'm going to hunt down Obi-Wan's killer." I began.

"How?" Anakin said sitting up straight. "You weren't there that night; how do you know who he is?"

I sighed. "I don't, but I still have connections with the criminal underworld and am still feared throughout the galaxy…if you want anyone trying to find this guy, it's me." I explained.

"But we didn't get a visual, it was dark out…no one was around?" Ahsoka explained.

"In the world of criminals, outlaws, assassins, and bounty hunters…" I began.

"You mean your people?" Anakin asked.

I shook my head with a smirk. "They were my people; you idiots are my people now. As I was saying, in the criminal world, the word of killing a Jedi will spread like wildfire, and once that occurs, people are going to want to know who it was, because then, they can hire that person for hits on people."

"What's your point?" Both of them asked at the same time.

I stood up with a smirk. "I'll have him in less than 3 rotations."

They both looked at me in disbelief as I walked out of the archives and headed toward the hanger. Since my starfighter was back on Kalevala, I decided to use Obi-Wan's instead of stealing Anakin's, even though it did cross my mind for a few minutes. Once Geenine was loaded into the droid part she started to moan in annoyance.

"Hey, we have a job to do, I don't want to hear it." I explained as we piloted out of Coruscant's atmosphere and into space.

"Alright Geenine, set course for Tatooine, we are going to see an old friend." I explained and within seconds, Geenine set the ship into hyperspace.

A few moments later, the ship came out of hyperspace and the large tan dust ball known as Tatooine came into view.

Geenine moaned in annoyance again and I chuckled as I piloted the ship to its surface on the landing ports in Mos Espa. After paying the ship attendant a heavy number of credits to make sure nothing happens to Obi-Wan's starfighter, I put on a dark grey poncho to conceal my weapons. Once Geenine was out of the droid port we decided to head into town. I hated Tatooine. It literally was the most disgusting planet, not just because of the criminal activity, but the fact that slavery was legal…that's what is disgusting. I don't even want to get into it, because of how disgusting it is. It literally sickens my stomach.

Once we arrived at the cantina we were looking for, we both went inside. The cantina we were in, was one of the most criminally active cantinas in the Outer Rim, not just because it was under the operation of Jabba the Hut, but before I met Cid, a lot of assassins and bounty hunters hung out here…including myself.

"Scope out the place…you know who I'm looking for." I whispered to Geenine who beeped in agreement before rolling further into the cantina to see if she could find who I was looking for. I walked toward the bar top and leaned against it.

"What can I get for you?" He asked.

"Information." I replied immediately.

"You're in the wrong place Blondie." He replied. "I don't have information."

I placed a large stack of credits on the bar top and his eyes widened.

"How about now?" I asked.

He nodded. "What'd you need?"

"I'm looking for someone…Blaze is his name." I explained.

The bartender pointed to a man twiddling a dagger in his hands in a corner booth. I sighed before I walked over and sat down across from him. His blue eyes looked tired, and his short blonde hair was slightly messy. He looked tired. The man I was sitting across from, was none other than Alexsandr Vizsla, Pre-Vizsla's son. He'd left Death Watch about 5 years ago or when I was about 16 standard. The reason he left was because of the same reasons I left; his father was using him as a pawn in his game for power…or in other words, basically the same reasons I left. The two of us grew up together, so when he left Death Watch, it was like I was losing my closest childhood friend. I was closer to him than I was with Crashun and felt more comfortable around him than Crashun. Since leaving Death Watch he had apparently taken up work smuggling spice around the Outer Rim along with doing mercenary work here and there as well. But the one thing I knew about Alex, and the one thing he knew about me, the both of us could kill you in the blink of an eye. He was my partner when we were kids, but as I got older, Gar became my partner on assassin jobs…but honestly, Alex had just enough skill or even greater skill then Gar.

"Out of all of the places I'd expect you to end up, here is the last place I'd expect." I explained as I placed my hands on the table.

He immediately stabbed his dagger into the table, missing my hands just barely.

"Wow, that was adult." I said with a smirk.

"What do you want Ro?" He asked in annoyance. "Are you here because my dad sent you here?"
I let out a laugh. "Hell no, I don't know if you know, but I left Death Watch, your dad wasn't the happiest when I left. I just saw him recently and he gave me this as a parting gift." I explained as I pointed to my black eye.

He immediately sat up and leaned forward to inspect my eye.

"He did this to you?" He asked quietly.

I shrugged. "It's not the worst I've had from him…you and I both know that."

"I guess some things never change." He replied as he sat back, and I rolled my eyes in amusement.

Just as I was about to reply, Geenine came rolling up to the both of us. She began to beep in excitement when she saw him. He extended his right hand and smiled when he touched her bronze dome.

"Hey Geenine, still as beautiful and shiny as ever." He said warmly. "I see Ro has been taking good care of you…I'm really happy."

I smiled. "She follows me everywhere…she's the best gift I ever received."

When Alex left Death Watch, Pre gave me his old starfighter and droid, which are now my droid and starfighter.

"I'm sure. Where's the starfighter?" He asked.

I sighed. "Kalevala. That's why I wanted to talk to you, I'm looking for someone…an assassin."

He frowned. "Ro, are you doing underground work for Cid again?"

I shook my head. "No, more like the opposite, I work with the Jedi now, and one of them was murdered recently…have you heard about it?"

He nodded. "Of course, you know how word travels fast."

"Do you know who he is?" I asked.

He shook his head. "No, but I know of where you can look…probably the lower levels of Coruscant…that's where it happened right?"

I nodded. "I need help on this…the Jedi aren't going to help me. I need your help."

He frowned, crossed his arms, and leaned back. "Not going to happen."

"Alex, please." I explained. "Please help me this one time."

"No, I don't kill people anymore…and you murdering people to just try and find someone you don't even know that well…" He began.

I slammed my hand down on the table in anger and frustration making him jump as I leaned forward.

"The man who died, was like my father. He treated me like his own daughter…" I practically gritted through my teeth. "He gave me more guidance and care more so than my mother, my aunt, and your father ever did. I am not asking you this as an assassin or bounty hunter or Death Watch lieutenant…I am asking you this as a friend. So please do this once for me…help me find the person and kill the man who killed the only parental figure that ever gave a shit about me, and I will leave you alone for the rest of my life."

He sighed as he looked over my facial expression. I know he saw the anger and sadness in my eyes, when I was speaking to him…so he knew I wasn't faking.

"One job?" He asked.

I nodded. "One job."

He nodded again before sighing. "I don't have to wear beskar do I?"

I shrugged. "I don't anymore…it's too heavy."

"Way to heavy." He said in agreement before getting up.

"Where're you going?" I asked.

"We've got an assassin to catch, don't we?" He asked and I rolled my eyes as I stood up as well.

We started to walk out of the cantina side-by-side with Geenine following behind us.

"Blaze and Torch back together again…just like old times." He said with a smirk.

I smirked back. "Just like old times."
