As Sienna and Seiya stood side by side, hand in hand, they felt a powerful surge of power being to surround them. Just as a misty, white, transparent burst of magical energy completely bathed their bodies, just as with one minuet they had just woken from some dream - like state, to the next they were back in the real world. Still hand in hand, eyes finding one another, as their bodies seemed to relax once they found one another still together. With their hearts entwined with one another, strengthening the unbreakable bond between them, they suddenly felt a surge of newfound power coursing through their veins. Awe and wonder seemed to be coursing through Sienna's veins as she looked upon her body, the awakening gifts she had not before known, taking her over, as she whispered.
''Could this really be the power of the gods?''
Sienna's assertion seemed to resonate within Seiya, who also began examining the alteration occurring in his own body. As he concurred, excitement entering his voice as his mind began working up the possibilities this new transformation could bring him. ''I think you'd be right, Sienna.''With unwavering determination and the unshakable resolve to protect their loved ones, they both stared into one another, it was like inside they were nodding at one another. Each of them knew what was expected of them. Seiya was now prepared. Prepared to face their ultimate challenge : Vander Scar, the fierce and malevolent villain who had not only abducted Seiya's sister, but also threatened the safety of Sienna, and all of mankind. Seiya could feel his newfound power, working its way up his entire body, surging through him in a brilliant, blue energy. One that allowed him to harness the element of light. His fingertips glowed with electrical sparks as he launched burning blasts into the atmosphere, watching in awe as each ray exploded with raw strength. Sienna, on the other hand, discovered her innate ability to manipulate gravity, granting her unparalleled control over the very forces that governed the universe. As the two of them stood there, together, with their newly abilities surging through their veins, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation. The time for hesitation was over, and they knew they had to strike against Vander Scar before he could unleash his dark plan upon the world.
Sienna's eyes narrowed, as her gaze locked onto Vander Scar's fortress in the distance. And with a swift wave of her hand, she commanded her new power, in the shape of gravitational forces, which caused the earth beneath their feet to tremble. With Seiya's determination intensifying, as he focused on the ground, as it shook with each step they seemed to take towards their enemy's lair. This time would be different. This time they weren't going to lose. With that he could feel the weight of responsibility on his shoulders grow heavier, but he refused to allow it to crush heavily onto him. The element of light within him burned brighter, illuminating the path ahead of them, as he took Sienna's hand in his own.
Once they finally reached the fortress gates, Sienna once more released her gravity manipulation, which caused the iron doors to crumble instantly, like paper. Seiya then took advantage of the opening, and charged forward, his blue energy flashing with every move he made, making sure to disintegrate any obstacles that dared stand in their way. Once inside the fortress, darkness dwelled thick and suffocating. Exactly how they pictured a evil lair to appear. The air was heavy with malevolence, but it only seemed to fuel their determination, as they navigated their way through the labyrinth. As Sienna and Seiya began venturing deeper into the fortress, the shadows around them seemed to grow stronger, seemingly alive as they danced along the midnight walls. Whispers of ancient secrets echoed through the halls, their voices barely audible but bearing an ominous weight to them. The flickering torches cast eerie, elongated shadows that gripped at their very senses, testing their resolve. With every single step they took, the stakes seemed to rise. Suddenly, the stone floor crumbled beneath them, revealing a treacherous pitfall. Reacting swiftly, Sienna stretched her gravity manipulation to its limits, creating a floating platform that managed to catch them both before they could fall. However because she was not yet use to her abilities, the platform trembled under their weight, an unsettling reminder that their path was not guaranteed.
As they traveled through the twisting corridor after twisted corridor, they climbed the winding staircases, the fortress seemed to come alive as they took their time walking up each step. In their sights were imposing suits of armor, each seeming animated with malevolent intentions, swords slashing through the air with deadly precision. However Sienna was faster, once more how she took pleasure defying the laws of physics as she redirected each of their assaults, causing the armor to clash against one another, crumbling them into a heap of shattered metal. However those were far from what came next. In the true heart of darkness, they entered the fortress's grand hall. Where a figure cloaked in shadows stood upon an elevated platform, emanating an aura of ancient power. His voice echoing through the cavernous space, carrying with it a unholy uncertainly.
''Welcome back, kiddos. How I've been awaiting your arrival.'' Vander Scar hissed, darkness carrying through each and every syllable. Taking in each of their appearances, Vander Scar seemed to be taking his time while stopping on Seiya, the dark lord's eyes narrowing for a split second, only for them to return to normal, as if he hadn't been phased. ''Bet I really surprised you, huh?'' Seiya said, voice risen, as he took in the atmosphere surroundings the dark lord. Vander Scar's menacing grin revealed a glint of sadistic satisfaction as he replied. ''I must admit, your persistence has impressed me. I'll admit I didn't expect to see you walk the earth again, Seiya, but do you truly believe you can stand against me, the harbinger of darkness?'' Sienna's eyes narrowed, determination ablaze within her.
''We're so much stronger than before, Vander Scar.'' Sienna said confidently. However as she finished her sentence, Vander Scar waved his hand, both of the heroes watching in awe as the grand hall shifted ominously, the swirling shadows growing more intense as the room before them became transformed. Sienna's could feel Seiya tense against her, however she never felt him shift from the chaos ahead. Instead she felt his strength double. The air around them crackled with anticipation as Vander Scar's form seemed to blur and twist, as if he was transforming the same as the room, seemingly merging with the shadows that surrounded him. The once grand hall became a new maze of darkness, its walls pulsating with a sinister energy. Sienna tightened her grip on the platform below them, careful to keep her focus, or risk the two of them collapsing. Without warning, tendrils of inky blackness shot out from all directions from the walls, aiming to ensnare both Sienna and Seiya. However their movements were swift and unpredictable, but the heroes were not so easily subdued. Sienna deflected the tendrils with bursts of gravity, sending them crashing back into the wall from which they came, with resounding impact. Seiya danced with fluid grace, dodging and parrying the attacks with his lighting - fast reflexes. But Vander Scar was no mere mortal, no he possess a power beyond any comprehension. A dark energy crackled around him, swirling and morphing into grotesque and shapeless forms. Black flames danced along his fingers, ready to consume anything in their path that dared get to close.
''You are but insects, trying to defy the natural order of things,'' Vander Scar sneered, his voice dripping with malice. ''i will now show you the true extent of darkness.'' Sienna and Seiya both exchanged a determined glance, their eyes filled with steely resolve. They knew they had to push beyond their limits if they were to have any chance of defeating Vander Scar. If they wanted to rebirth the world, this was one way to start. ''We'll see about that,'' Sienna focused her gravity manipulation its to utmost potential, managing to catch the lord off guard, only to capture him up in her force, sending him towards where she stood. Watching as he hurtled through the air, Seiya took his chance, and struck down with his lighting infused fists, each blow crackling with pure energy as the impact sent a heavy flow down on Vander Scar's body. Vander Scar let out a howl of pain as the energy flowed into him, but it only seemed to make him angrier. Once Sienna finally allowed him to go, he fell to the ground, rising back up to his feet, the black flames growing hotter and more intense around him, just as he unleashed a torrent of dark energy that consumed everything in its path. Seiya had to rush over to Sienna and push her out of the way, or risk losing her to the darkness. Sienna and Seiya were both instantly thrown back, heir bodies buffeted by the force of Vander Scar's attack. However they refused to give up. With a fierce determination, they rose back to their feet, their eyes meeting one another in a silent understanding.
''Together,'' Seiya smiled.
''Together,'' Sienna returned as she reached Seiya, her arm crawling down his arm till they were intertwined. Together, they focused in one their powers, drawing from each other's strength as they prepared to deliver the final blow. Sienna's violet eyes glowed with a powerful energy as she managed to summon a black hole, the force of which threatened to tear Vander Scar apart, as he tried to get out of the way. Seiya began channeling lighting through his entire body, his fists crackling with the same energy as he charged towards the dark lord. Vander Scar tensed, his shoulders folding, as he tried to counter his attack, however it seemed it was no use. ''Take off my father's face!'' Seiya shouted. As Seiya's words echoed throughout the room, a sudden rush of energy coursed through his body, empowering him to deliver a ferocious punch that landed square on Vander Scar's jaw, sending him flying straight off his feet. Sienna watched in awe, as Vander Scar hit the ground with a resounding thud, his body seeming to convulse as he struggle to regain his composure. But it was too late, he was too weak and too injured to mount any form of resistance.
''It can't be that easy,'' Seiya whispered, hatred spilling out, as his heart began pounding the hardest it had ever pounded in his chest.
''But Seiya, we won?'' Sienna said, as she placed her hand upon her shoulder. ''Didn't we?'' Sieya shook his head, the anger bubbling inside him.
''No, Sienna. We haven't won yet. This battle may be over, but the war is far from done. Vander Scar was only a pawn. There are still out there who seek to destroy everything we hold dear. You heard Athena and Zeus, the world isn't the same as it used to be. Our job is to bring back the peace and that starts with destroying all the evil we can. Firstly, I don't believe we can do this on our own. We may be more powerful, but we're only two. We need help.'' Sienna nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of Seiya's words. She knew that their victory over Vander Scar was only a small step in the long journey towards peace. Nothing would get done so easily. ''We need to gather some allies,'' Sienna finished for him. ''People who believe in our cause and are willing to fight alongside us. And I believe I know just the right people.''
Seiya raised an eyebrow in curiosity. ''Who?''
Sienna grinned, a mischievous glint in her eye. ''The queen of the seven seas. I believe she has some powerful resources that can hook us up with the right people. I'd suggest though before we go see her, that we return to that kingdom. I want to check on that prince and his sister. I need to set things straight for what I did.'' She said sadly.
''That's a great idea, Sienna. I also believe with the right training, we can get the prince on board with us. Don't forget he's a knight, same as I was.'' Seiya nodded, determination written all over his face. Sienna smiled at him, her eyes sparkling with pride and relief. They had been through so much together, and now they had emerged victorious. This was well deserved. Stepping closer to Seiya, she quickly wrapped an arm around his waist, pulling him into her, as he stared at her, dumbfounded.
''Sienna?'' he asked, never leaving the sight of her beautiful violet eyes.
''I believe this is well over due,'' she said just as she planted a soft kiss against his lips. After a few seconds passed by, she felt the pull of his body leave hers. Where they stood for a few moments, lost in each other, basking in the glow of their victory. However their victory didn't last long, just as Seiya felt a sudden jolt of pain shoot through his body, stumbling backwards, his hand instantly flying up to his chest just as Sienna cried out for him. ''Seiya!'' Rushing to his side, she could see the panic in his eyes, which caused her heart to begin to race. ''What's the matter?'' she asked him. Seiya seemed to be gasping for breath, his face contorting with pain. ''I...it's nothing...'' he managed to blurt out. ''It's just a small...scratch...''
''What?!'' Sienna shouted. ''When did you get wounded? I didn't see a single strike hit you?!'' Then the relaxation began to hit her. ''You took it for me, when you pushed me out of the way? Didn't you?'' she asked him weakly. ''Oh, my god, Seiya.'' Sienna's mind was frantic as she stared at the red blood seeping through his shirt. ''Seiya, hold on, I can find you help.''
''This...this...this shouldn't have happened. I'm supposed to be-''
''Zeus and Athena warned us, we can still get hurt. We can still die, just because we're gods now, doesn't make us invincible!'' Sienna barked, tears flashing behind violet eyes. ''And Vander Scar didn't possess normal powers either...'' she whispered. ''I need to get something for the bleeding.'' Seiya simply shook his head as he noticed her about to turn away from him. ''No,'' he murmured. ''I...I don't want you to leave me.'' The tears were falling from Sienna's eyes now, as she brought Seiya's head in her lap, brushing her fingers through his hair. ''I'm not going to leave you,'' she whispered fiercely. ''Because you're going to be okay. We'll...we'll get through this too, just like we do every time.''
''I'm not going to let you die,'' she said confidently, wiping away a single tear from her cheek just as she placed her hands down on Seiya's chest. Trembling as she tried to stop the blood from seeping out of his chest wound. Suddenly, Sienna realized what she had to do. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and began focusing all her energy on her hands. She could feel the power inside her instantly flowing through her, channeling it all towards Seiya's wound. Each of them were shrouded in a bright light that seemed to be emanating from her hands, just as she stared in shock and surprise as the wound began closing up. Sienna swore she could feel Seiya's body relaxing as the bleeding seemed to stop. Then the bright light vanished from once it came, Sienna reopened her eyes, staring into Seiya dark brown ones. Seiya's eyes fluttered open just as he felt her staring at him, with a look of confusion on his face just as he tried to sit up. Although he was instantly pushed back down by Sienna, as she said. ''Don't move too much, I'm new at this,'' she said softly, her hand still hovering above his chest. Seiya's eyes widened as he looked down at his chest, where only moments before he had been about to bleed out. ''What...how did you do that?'' he asked, his voice hoarse and weak.
''I guess the gods lied.'' she laughed.
''You just saved my life, Sienna.''
Sienna smiled softly at his words as she laid herself out against him, sprawling her arms out as her breathing quickened.
''I'm sorry, Seiya,'' she suddenly whispered, which instantly resulted in Seiya turning his attention on her.
''What for?'' he asked.
''I never should have dragged you into this.''
Seiya instantly reached out and pulled her up from the ground, where he forced her eyes to look at him. Lifting her chin, he said. ''You never asked for any of this,'' he said firmly. ''Never aplogize to me.'' ''I knew what I was getting into when I agreed to protect you.'' Sienna nodded, however the guilt still gnawed at her. Though she wouldn't tell him. ''We should get out of here. We should return to the island, we have a lot to update my father on.'' She said. ''Yeah.'' Seiya gave a curt nod in agreement before leading the way out of the fortress. Following Sienna as they made their way to find a dock with a boat that would take them safely back to the island.
