Interval Event 6: Field of Flowers

In the midst of a forest path, Michiru found himself in a state of perplexity after he woke up from resting at the small but quaint inn in Ayame Village, "Where's Sango?" He asked aloud.

As Michiru pondered, Kagome, walked by. The Kururugi boy turned his attention to her "Hey Kagome, have you seen Sango?" he inquired.

"She went towards the field, if I remember correctly" the modern priestess replied,

"Thanks," Michiru acknowledged, a sense of purpose driving him. With determined steps, he departed from their exchange

After walking for a while Michiru found Sango, standing amidst a breathtaking field of flowers. Each bloom seemed to dance in the gentle wind, creating an enchanting picture that framed her form. The stillness of the moment was broken only by the rustling of petals.

Michiru's gaze, once clouded with uncertainty, now held only astonishment. The words tumbled from his lips, a reflection of his thoughts. "Who is that standing there? Sango...?" His voice wavered with a mixture of surprise and admiration. 'But, she looks so beautiful...'

Sango turned towards him, her expression a blend of surprise and amusement then she spoke up "Beautiful, no?" Her question lingered in the air, laden with a playful undertone.

"Huh?" Michiru managed to utter, caught off guard by the unexpected question.

A smile graced Sango's lips as she gestured to the sea of flowers that embraced her. "This is my favorite field of flowers. What do you think?" Her inquiry held a sense of genuine curiosity, inviting him to share in her world.

Michiru's eyes swept over the landscape before him, the realization dawning upon him like the first light of day. "Yes, it's beautiful," he admitted, a newfound understanding dawning upon him. And then it struck him 'Oh, I see... She was talking about the flowers...'

Sango's laughter tinkled through the air, her mirth contagious. "Why do you look so spaced out?" she teased, her gaze fixed on him.

A sheepish grin adorned the Kururugi boy's features as he struggled to find the right words. "It's so beautiful, I feel like it's taken my soul away," he confessed, his sincerity evident. 'I didn't realize Sango was so very beautiful.'

Sango's brows arched, a playful challenge in her gaze. "What's that all about? Doesn't sound like you." Her laughter softened the jest, weaving a sense of intimacy between them. "Ha ha ha. What's up? Still spaced out?"

Kururugi chuckled in response, his embarrassment giving way "... Am I?" 'Sango's beauty is hard to ignore.'

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow upon the scene, Michiru and Sango stood amidst the field of flowers, their laughter mingling with the rustle of petals as Michiru began to admire the demon slayer even more than before.
