Magic's Saviour: Enter Hadrian Potter

Hadrian Potter was not normal. He was normal in the sense that he looked normal, but if you decided to look into the now 4 year old's bright green eyes, you would see a very intelligent and calculating look staring at you right back. His rather tall form coupled with a shear knack for messy hair, he seemed to be almost 8 going on 9. With that said, Hadrian was born into a loving family, a family that he loved more than anything could be loved before. His younger sister, Lilith Potter, he absolutely adored, and took to calling Lily and constantly watched over her. His mother, Lady Lily Potter nee Evans, was a loving albeit disciplined woman that had taken to being very overprotective of her two children. Lord James Potter, standing at a respectable 6'2" with gold rimmed glasses and an easy smile, loved his two children and doted on them often. The family was currently staying under the wards and protection of Potter Manor. When Albus Dumbledore had approached them about the prophecy and the possibility of moving to Godric's Hollow, the Potters had respectfully declined. The wards and protections from the ancient home were even better than the one's surrounding Hogwarts, the ancient school both Lady and Lord attended. Immediately following that conversation, Albus had stopped by all too often to check on young Hadrian, and to convince the Potter Family to move to Godric's Hollow. Often Lily would watch him like a hawk, until one day, Albus found himself locked out of Potter Manor. Voldemort was still waging his pureblood war and had openly declared the Potter Family a target, so frustrated he was that he could not find the family. The Marauders, a group of pranksters that James Potter started, constantly checked on the young Potters, two of the members being godparents. Lord Sirius Black, after begrudgingly taking the mantle of "Lord", was the dogfather of Hadrian, while Remus Lupin was the godfather of Lillith. Both adored the children and regularly boasted about them to any and all. The last member of the marauders, Wormtail, was currently out, an occurrence that seemed to be a regular thing lately. Currently, Hadrian Potter was sitting in his room, criss crossed on his bed meditating. All day he had felt a distinct shift in the magic surrounding the Potter Family's Home. An ominous presence that only he seemed to feel. The entire family, including Siruis and Remus were downstairs, getting ready to sit down for dinner when Hadrian suddenly felt a sharp presence in the north side of the manor, followed by one familiar presence, and three others he did not recognize. Harry immediately jumped up as the alarms of the Potter Ward manor erupted to life, signaling a foreign presence.

Lord James Potter was a cautious and calculating Gryfindor. The war coupled with his two younger children, had curbed his need to rush into things head on. Padfoot had just finished telling the table about the time Remus peed on him on the night of the full moon because he mistook him for garbage because of the way he smelled.

"I did not smell that bad Remus and I'm offended that you would call my lordly hygiene into question you wolf-faced bastard", said Sirius.

"Well at least I don't take 3 hours to get ready in the morning" Remus said with a shrug.

"Well at least–"

Suddenly the Potter Manor wards were being set off. James Potter sighed and thought about the situation. The Potter Manor wards, although impenetrable, had one slight fault. A slight weakness in the structure of the wards surrounding the ward stone had to be made, in order to tap into the ambient magic on the sacred ground Potter Manor was built on. The 3 Ley Line in that region went right through the heart of the home, and therefore three ward stones were created. If the three weak spots were all hit with the dark flames of the FiendFyre, the wards would crumble in seconds. It was one of the most highly guarded Potter Secrets and James had only told his best friends on a drunk night in 4th year. Seeing he was in the room with all except one, he figured it had to be Wormtail. James's aura started letting loose as he thought about his own stupidity. He wished he had come to senses sooner and matured faster. With no time to beat himself up over it, he gave a sharp glance towards all as he saw Hadrian running down the stairs, looking at his father imploring. Little Lillith was currently being carried by a fierce looking Lady Lily while Remus had an amber glow in his eye and Lord Sirius looked every bit as a Black, his joke dying off his lips to be replaced by a cold look, one that promised punishment.

"Hadrian, what do you sense?" said James

"I feel one familiar presence, and 3 very powerful presence" Hadrian stated back to his father in a neutral tone.

James Potter shook his head at his son's ability to already implement Occlumency at such a young age. The thought made him sad and yet gave him pride. James Potter took a deep breath.

"Here's the deal, the only person that could be a familiar presence to Harry is Wormtail. The rat faced bastard is a traitor and I will personally execute the bastard myself".

There were gasps around the room. Noone had ever heard a direct threat from the new Lord before and it chilled the room to the bone.

"Im not fucking around anymore. My parents have just died to this asshole, and ill be damned if this Lord Voldemort is going to take my family from me anymore. Wormtail told them about the three ward stones, I'm guessing Voldemort took his strongest because you have to pour the Fiendfyre in which takes time, power, and control. My best guess is Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange, and Antonio Dolohov. I can sense their magic from here working on the wards. We Are going to split up. Hadrian, you take your sister and you go into the astronomy tower I made for your mother. If anybody even attempts to attack your sister, you do whatever you can. I know you can handle this Harry."

Hadrian looked at his father with a nod and a flash of fire erupted from his green eyes, with a sharp look at his younger sister.

"None shall ever get near Father" Harry responded in a neutral tone.

James nodded, "Lily, I know you and Bellatrix have some history. I prefer her to be dead by the end of the night."

Lady Lily Potter nodded, and with a kiss to her younger child, she let her down and directed her to Hadrian, who promptly turned around and led her sister to the astronomy tower.

"It shall be done my love" Lily answered her angry husband. All Lily could think was how hot he looked all riled up. 'If we survive..' kept playing through her head with a fiery grin.

James saw the look on his wife and immediately blushed. His wife was a bit of a minx, lord knows how they only had two children. He threw those thoughts away from his head and looked at his best friends.

"We are going to sneak attack the three that aren't Voldemort. Remus and Sirius, decide between the two of you who is going after Lestrange and Dolohov. The Rat is mine. Come help me with Voldemort after. My son will not be subjected to a prophecy. we will end that piece of shit with his head severed on the Potter Lawn"

Both Remus and Sirius looked at each other and made a silent decision. Remus would go after Dolohov. Sirius would take Rodolphus.

"Let's show this asshole why you don't mess with the Marauders" remus said,

"Let's give old voldy shorts a night he'll never forget" smirked Sirius.

With that, the four magicians apparated out, intent on destroying those foolish to attack their family.

Sirius Black arrived with a short pop behind the third ward stone and saw Rodulphous Lestrange doing his absolute best to keep the Fiendfyre under control. He seemed to be struggling given the fact that he seemed to not notice the young Lord's presence. Sirius quietly slipped his wand out and cast an overpowered organ liquefying curse straight from the Black Book of dark curses that demolished Rodulphous on the spot, turning him into a cesspool of organs and skin. Sirius smirked. "One down".

Lady Lily Potter arrived with a short pop behind the 2nd ward stone and saw Bellatrix Lestrange easily casting the FiendFyre, the flames alighting her eyes, her bloodlust prevalent for all to see. Lily was cautious. The history between the two were fierce, having dueled many times in the past, during school and war. She remembered Bellatrix as always a nice person in school. She was competitive, yes, but the mad glint didn't really start until after school, when she got married. She sat there while her husband's words circled her head. She remembered why Bellatrix was trying so hard to get in, so that Voldemort could kill her baby. With a fierce look in her green eyes, she cast the killing curse, intent on finishing this quickly so that she didn't have to fight her long time rival, and once upon a time, friend. Avada Kedavra.

Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black, found herself with the orders of casting Fiendfyre at a ward stone. She never really got the full scoop of orders, her famed closeness to the Dark Lord nothing more than a terrible rumor. Oh, she was a Death Eater, and oh how she wanted the mudbloods and filths of this world to learn their place, but she had no tolerance for somebody who was halfblook claiming to be pure. Oh yes, she was a smart girl. She did her research before she signed herself away to some madman in the form of a tattoo. Bellatrix had been going through a bit of a struggle lately. She had seen Lily Potter, her best friend and rival throughout Hogwarts on the battlefield, and it made Bellatrix hesitate. Why was she being traumatized by dreams of an old life, a life where she wasn't full of bloodlust and anger. She tried to wrap her mine around it, but everytime she almost got there, she would get angry and want to go kill something. Almost like the world wanted her to be angry. She sighed in frustration as the flames wanted to turn around and kill their maker. She scoffed. 'Weak beings'. Suddenly she felt danger approaching and immediately commanded her Fiendfyre to stay and attack the ward stone, while she dealt with the problem. Not many people can leave the fire unattended but then again, Bellatrix was not many people. She turned around to a bright green killing curse, which she jumped out of the way from, but right as she went to block the next spell from the unknown attacker, her body and soul felt like they'd been released from a cage, and with a gasp, Bellatrix Lestrange, collapsed, and was consumed by darkness.

Lily Potter stared at her wand, wondering what the hell just happened. She ran towards Belltrix, and felt her pulse, which was weak but steady. Lily immediately called a house elf and had her brought down into the dungeons and treated. She didn't want her to be able to get out, but Lily had a weird feeling about people passing out for no reason. She sighed. 'One down'. She suddenly heard a big boom and Lily Potter apparated.

Remus Lupin had always prided himself on keeping a level head. He was known as the calm between the storms that were James Potter and Sirius Black, However, when he landed at the first ward stone, he felt anything but calm. He was full of murderous rage. He and his wolf form had grown very attached to the cubs of the Potter Family and Remus would gladly sacrifice himself for the two. He appeared in a scene that he wasn't expecting. Wormtail and Dolohov were both watching Voldemort easily control the flames of Fiendfyre and were constantly pouring magic into defeating the potter wards. Remus growled, until he heard a faint pop next to him. He saw it was Prongs and with an apologetic look he lowered his wand. Remus took a look at the situation and both Marauders came to the same agreement. Quickly aiming their wands, they sent overpowered cutting hexes at the unsuspecting wormtail and dolohov. Both of their heads fell off of their bodies in spectacular fashion and landed on voldemort. Seeing his two followers' heads at his feet made Voldmort turn around and cast an overpowered blasting curse with a scream at the treeline where the two curses came from. The trees burst open at the impact so powerful the curse was the only way Remus and James could avoid it was apparating out.

After his loyal follower Severus Snape had brought him the prophecy, Lord Voldemort, aka, Tom Riddle, had initially blown it off as a joke. He despised all forms of seer activity, and the prophecy clearly stated he himself had to go mark the boy. So a simple way of not letting the child be his downfall is to not bother the boy. I mean really, how stupid do they think he was. Albus Dumbledore clearly believed in the prophecy, but that was just the old meddling fool playing his little game with the Potter Family. No, Voldemort had enough experience with Fate to not test it. For that very reason alone, Voldemort never raised his wand against any child, in case he accidentally "marks" one of them. Fate was fickle like that. It wasn't until Voldemort received reports from Severus that the boy was showing signs of extraordinary magic, not to mention an occlumency barrier that even the esteemed Occlumens Snape couldn't fathom. This worried Lord Voldemort. He understood the significance of a child's core, and the amount of raw magic a child possessed, but he had never heard of a 2 year old Occlumens. This was the first instant where Voldemort thought about testing Fate, and here had his first doubts that Trelawny truly was a fraud. He quickly scolded himself. 'That sherry drinking fraud wouldn't know what's going to happen tomorrow, let alone a full prophecy depicting the death of a Dark Lord'. He had a good laugh about that for a while, until Severus brought him this next bit of news a few months later.

"My Lord, He is a parselmouth, and has already mastered the patronus. He can be seen making multiple Patroni, all with different colors and forms. The boy is truly gifted in magic"

At these words the Dark Lord was really starting to get his doubts. A parselmouth and a master of a charm most grown wizards, including himself, can't do. Again, he reassured himself and scoffed. He had more experience than any little boy.

Voldemort's last straw was only a few months ago. His loyal servant Severus had brought him a report.

"My Lord, the Potter boy is beginning to show sign of being an elemental, including presenting signs of being a shadow mage. His power level is 50 times higher than what Dumbledore's was at his age".

At these words, Voldemort cast the cruciatus curse and tortured Severus for bringing him such news. These abilities were unheard of, let alone a child having them. No, Voldemort now saw the truth. This boy needed to die as a child. That very night, Voldemort called Wormtail to his side, it was time to point the little rat to the test. Will he give up his friends?"

Voldemort inspected the damage he inflicted in part of the Potter forest and was disappointed to see no dead bodies. He sulked for a second, until he turned his attention to his fallen followers. He scoffed. 'Weaklings. Truly pathetic. To be caught off guard in that way'. At this moment he stopped and listened. He looked around and saw no bright flames anywhere across the property. 'My other two followers must also be dead'. Voldemort smirked. He loved death. He loved inflicting it. He loved the thought of seeing somebody's life just slip past their eyes. It almost gave a euphoric rush and when he was first starting out, he would have to pleasure himself right then and there because he just couldn't contain himself. He shook himself from these thoughts and smirked at the thought of Bellatrix dying.

'What a shame' he sighed

It seemed like his plans were foiled but he wasn't a Dark Lord for nothing. The other ward stones were weakened enough. With a raise of his wand, he cast Fiendfyre once more, pouring more power in it than before, and smirked, because after a minute, the wards came tumbling down with a satisfying shower of burning magic. The Dark Lord smirked. Nobody had ever taken down Potter Manor's wards. Until Him. He suddenly saw the four Marauders, standing in front of their front doors. Clearly blocking Voldemort's path to the children. The Dark Lord smirked again and preened.

'all the most powerful rituals include a juicy steak'. The dark lord laughed maniacally

Hadrian Potter was not having a great time. His sister was hysterical at her mom being gone, and the only thing that was helping was the multiple patroni Harry had summoned to keep her happy. From the astronomy tower, he had a perfect view of everything going on. When the wards came down, Hadrian felt the very first iota of fear in his young life when he heard the Dark Lord simply laugh when he saw his mother, father, padfoot, and moony standing against him. Hadrian had overheard conversations about the Dark Lord, but to actually see him, alone and laughing, made Hadrian's blood go cold. The very hair on his arms stood up as he felt Voldemort's gaze go straight to him. He watched as the Dark Lord looked like he was about to jump, and felt his jaw go slack when the Dark Lord simply just hovered there, going up, seeming to tease his parents that he could just fly up there if he wanted. His father seemed to understand the teasing because he started sending the most dangerous curses he knew at the Dark Lord. Harry stood there, entranced by all the bright and deadly colors, watching his family fight for his life. He saw the Dark Lord throwing killing curse after killing curse. Hadrian watched the battle for a horrendously long two minutes, until he saw his family was slowly losing their edge. His mother was starting to tire and had resorted to shielding the other marauders, while she stuck to dodging. All of the sudden, for Hadrian time seemed to stand still. Lily had a shield protecting her husband, a transfigured flock of birds protecting Remus, and swarms of bees taking killing curse after killing curse for sirius. This left her open to the surprise rapid fire 3 killing curses at Lily. He saw his mother being completely unaware, and this made Hadrian's blood boil, and pushing through the ultimate fear he felt, he used his shadow mage ability to shadowalk himself in front of his mother. Three Killing curses seemed to hit Hadrian, and immediately bounce off of him as one, and hit the Dark Lord, not only blowing him up, but leaving his head and only his head on the Potter Lawn.

'Magic seemed to have been listening to you father" Harry said pointing at the decapitated head.

He then promptly blacked out with a sigh of relief.
