Toshinori's Choice

Chapter twenty-three: Into the work studies, continued

Things had gotten quite bad for the pro heroes and their police allies in their continuous efforts against the Shie Hassakai and the now villainous Endeavor. What made things really bad was the fact that a hero who used to be a sidekick employed by Endeavor's agency was able to kidnap Eri and take her off campus, and was confirmed to have done so at Endeavor's word. A lot of blame was cast on UA, particularly Nezu as he was the one who hired the Endeavor sidekick who in reality was just acting as a spy for the disgraced Flame Hero.

A spy that allowed the villains to re-capture Eri. With that miracle child back in villainous hands, the Shie Hassakai got back what they needed to make more of their foul drugs to destroy quirk factors. Even Toshinori couldn't have anticipated this, even with his advance knowledge due to remembering the events of an alternate timeline. An emergency meeting was held at the Nighteye Agency, where all persons brought on into Sir Nighteye's plans against the Shie Hassakai gathered, even bringing in a few of the interns working in the work studies.

A good number of pro heroes were at the meeting. Sir Nighteye of course, as well as his sidekicks Centipeder and Bubble Girl and intern Mirio. There was also Aizawa, Fat Gum who was accompanied by Tamaki, Ryukyu who was accompanied by Nejire, Kinoko, and Hiryu, Mirko who was there alone, and even Gran Torino. Rock Lock was also there at the meeting, and even Uwabami was there, flanked by Habuko and Itsuka. Even Tensei Iida, the pro hero Ingenium, was present. It was rather clear to those who were all there that the situation was very dire indeed.

But given the number of notable pro heroes who were all at the meeting hosted by Sir Nighteye, it was sort of a given. Once everyone was seated, Sir Nighteye began the meeting. "First of all, thank you all for being able to come," Sir Nighteye began, "I have been investigating the activities of the Shie Hassakai for quite some time. A number of snags had popped up, however."

"Snags?" Fat Gum asked, "What do you mean?"

"First of all, there's the death of Kai Chisaki, the first known leader of the Shie Hassakai," Sir Nighteye began, "He died shortly after the attack on UA's USJ facility, when the news was abuzz with reports of the incident involving Endeavor and known member of Dabi's Crew Mr. Compress."

Ryukyu's eyes narrowed. "...Yes, we all got the truth on that incident now."

Continuing on, Sir Nighteye said, "There's also how all of the Shie Hassakai's elite thugs, the Eight Bullets, had defected from the Shie Hassakai, bringing with them two yakuza thug level members although at the moment I have no intel on either of them aside from how they have healing quirks of varying kinds. There's also how the now villainous Endeavor and his sidekicks who followed him into villainy had joined with the Shie Hassakai, with reports even getting out that Endeavor had taken over the Shie Hassakai as a whole."

Aizawa scowled at that news. "Well that's terrible. No doubt things will be worse given that Endeavor and his brood had taken Eri back from the heroes."

"Indeed," Sir Nighteye replied, "I did get it that a spy had gotten into UA on Endeavor's behalf and was able to locate and collect Eri. The Shie Hassakai got back the means to make more of their Quirk Destroying Bullets. But whether or not they are able to make more is still in question, given that it was reported only Kai Chisaki knew how to make his vile creations. It would be a boon if he didn't write the process down and never told anyone how the process went, as that would mean the secret died with Chisaki."

Scowling, Rock Lock said, "What bothers me is the fact that that a child is suffering, as well as how kids are being brought in to do work here."

Arching a wry eyebrow, Tensei said, "Is there a problem with how some heroes brought interns along?"

"They're still greenhorns," Rock Lock argued, "Can any of them be trusted to do the work of an adult pro hero?"

"Hey now, the interns are more capable than you think," Fat Gum argued.

Turning to look at the BMI Hero, Rlock Lock said, "One of your interns not only got beaten by a thug, a thug and not a villain, but the intern in question also reportedly allowed one of the members of Dabi's Crew to escape."

"Steel just got a draw of bad luck," Fat Gum said, a hint of unamusement in his scowl, "And even if he wasn't hurt after the thug went down, the kid from Dabi's Crew that Steel had-"

"Hol' up," Rock Lock interrupted. Giving Fat Gum a wry look, Rock Lock said, "...A kid? You're telling me that one of the members of Dabi's Crew is a kid?"

Sir Nighteye's gaze narrowed a bit. "...Yes, I got word on that thanks to intel that All Might was able to gather." To the meeting as a whole, Sir Nighteye said, "Dabi's two elite bodyguards, Usagi the Rabbit-Earred Giantess and Felgrand the Dragon of Destruction. In truth, they are respectively a six-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy who were reportedly experimented on by All Might's nemesis he had slain at the Battle of Kamino Ward, plus a few others who are allied with said slain villain. The kids, by what All Might had reasoned, are being manipulated easily due to their young age and how they've been left emotionally vulnerable by Endeavor's actions the day of the attack on the USJ."

"I got word of that from my friend Tsuyu," Habuko spoke up, "The massive traffic accident on the highway on the way to UA that day, which involved at least twenty vehicles and claimed at least forty lives." Gulping nervously, Habuko went on, "Tsuyu's parents are among the victims."

Looking at Habuko, Rock Lock asked, "And that relates to Usagi and Felgrand how, exactly?"

"They're Asui's younger siblings," Itsuka spoke up, drawing surprised looks from many at the meeting.

Sir Nighteye nodded once in understanding. "Yes, it's clear that Dabi is using how Usagi and Felgrand lost their parents to the recklessness of Endeavor to get them to serve him. I also got it that it's been stated that both Usagi and Felgrand seek vengeance on Endeavor."

"Young kids who had been left orphaned," Aizawa said, "Their parents were basically all of the world that they knew. So to lose that, have it taken away from them all of a sudden and with no warning..." Gently shaking his head, the underground hero went on, "No wonder they're lashing out the way that they are. Their young age and emotional vulnerability at the moment makes it clear they don't know any better."

Turning to look at Fat Gum, Ryukyu said, "Taishiro, you said your injured intern encountered one of the two kids that Dabi has working for him. Which one was it?"

"It was Felgrand, but not transformed with your mojo," Fat Gum replied, "I even brought along a copy of the drawing made by the police sketch artist that was made based on the description that Steel was able to give." Fat Gum then took out a printed sheet that showed a clear, detailed drawing of a young boy wearing a high collared cloak and he had bangs covering one of his eyes.

Ryukyu received the sketch and looked at it, then at Uwabami's request passed it over so it could be looked at by Habuko. "...Yeah, that's Tsuyu's little brother Samidare alright," Habuko said, a hint of heartbroken trouble in her tone, "Also it doesn't surprise me he's got a cloak modeled after the one GulusGammamon wears."

Sir Nighteye arched a wry eyebrow at Habuko as the sketch was passed back to Fat Gum. "...I'm guessing that's an anime character you're talking about." Turning to look at Fat Gum, Sir Nighteye asked, "Was your intern who encountered Felgrand able to learn anything else?"

Fat Gum nodded once in the affirmative. "Yeah. He was told by the kid that the thug had some intel on the illegal sales of the drug Trigger. I was able to help the police in getting more details out of the thug, confirming the information as well as learning that Endeavor's villainous operations is making some money by dealing in Trigger."

"I did hear it that the flaming sack of crap's monetary assets were frozen after he went villain and went on the run," Mirko remarked, "Said assets were recently unfrozen, but not until after they were transferred to a new account managed by Endeavor's son Natsuo."

"I got it that Natsuo Todoroki has a surprisingly high sense and level of business acumen," Tamaki spoke up, "Even for a University student. Apparently he's already been able to up the wealth he got by at least fifty percent, so it's safe to say he and his family... at least the non-villainous members of his family... won't be wanting for cash anytime soon."

"Considering that Natsuo's little brother is one of my students," Aizawa spoke up, "I'd be worried if he couldn't afford tuition."

"The Shie Hassakai who are now led by Endeavor are making money by selling Trigger," Bubble Girl said, a worried look on her face and a worried hint in her tone, "And they took back the Eri girl as well."

"There's also how it's not just the Endeavor-led Shie Hassakai we're dealing with now," Sir Nighteye spoke up, "There's also Dabi's Crew, who has Usagi and Felgrand backing them up. According to what All Might was able to dig up, Usagi and Felgrand actually can't be beaten in direct combat, at least not without using an absurdly overwhelming amount of force that I'm not sure Japanese Hero society can muster up right now. All Might was only able to knock out Usagi during the Battle of Kamino Ward due to the overwhelming power he had, power he can no longer use."

Rock Lock scoffed bitterly. "So you're saying that Dabi's elites can't be stopped."

"Not in direct combat which I'd advise avoiding anyway," Aizawa replied, "We have reason to believe, with said reason backed by eyewitness reports, that both Usagi and Felgrand can be reasoned with."

Rock Lock let out a sarcastic laugh. "You're saying a pair of kids, both emotionally compromised and with great power at their respective fingertips with nothing to stop them from using said power, can be reasoned with. How so? Aren't their parents dead?"

"Yes, but not their older sister," Aizawa began to explain.

Itsuka nodded in agreement. "Usagi and Felgrand... no, Satsuki and Samidare... they were both standing right there when some of the girls from the hero academy Uwabami founded were trash-talking Tsuyu during the attack on Takoba National Stadium."

Uwabami scowled a bit in unamusement. "Yes, I got the full details. Their actions go against what I try to teach."

"The reactions that Asui's little siblings had to hearing their big sister being called ugly and otherwise generally insulted..." Itsuka said, taking pause to gently shake her head, "...Were not reactions of approval. They even went utterly ballistic when a boy from Shiketsu told them they not only failed to see Asui, but that they were not going to be seeing her ever again. At least that's what Habuko told me about their reactions to the Shiketsu boy's boasting, I wasn't present for it."

"So their big sister is a person who means the world to them," Sir Nighteye said, "Perfect. We can simply field the Asui girl if Usagi or Felgrand are spotted in the field so we can have her talk them out of-"

"A problem with that, Nighteye," Aizawa began. With an unamused scowl, the underground hero began, "Due to how some of Vlad King's students at UA had sabotaged my students during the Provisional License Exams, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the attack of Dabi and his brood no less, all of my students failed to get their provisional licenses. This includes Asui." Gesturing to Sir Nighteye, Aizawa went on, "Because none of my students have provisional licenses, they are legally barred from being able to go out into the field. Hence why you aren't gonna see any students from UA's Class 1-A out in the field for the time being."

Sir Nighteye's gaze narrowed, especially after it passed over the Class 1-B students that were at the meeting. "...Yes, I got word of that from All Might. It slipped my mind until now." Leaning back in his seat, Sir Nighteye let out a tired sigh. "Great, we can't field the one person we have who has the best shot at reasoning with Usagi and Felgrand."

Holding up a hand, Aizawa said, "Actually, Asui said that it's possible that Mirko and Ryukyu can get her little sister and little brother respectively to calm down."

Mirko nodded in agreement. "I was actually able to get Usagi to chill a cycle momentarily during the Battle of Kamino Ward. And now I know that Usagi is the frog girl's little sister."

"Habuko, Asui's little siblings recognized you during the attack on Takoba National Stadium," Itsuka said, "You think you might be able to reason with them as well?"

Shrugging, Habuko replied, "I'm not sure. Although Satsuki did still identify me by the scaly snake skin I have, calling it pretty like she did the day Tsuyu brought me over to her place. I met her family the first time on that day."

To the rest of the meeting, Sir Nighteye said, "We have a very desperate uphill battle ahead of us. On the one hand there's Endeavor and his sidekicks who followed him, with Endeavor going into and taking over what's left of the Shie Hassakai. They also took back the girl Eri, who can be used to make more of the poison that the now late Kai Chisaki was making. But on the other hand there's Dabi and his Crew, all of them better than rank and file grunt level members of a villainous organization, and Dabi is backed by his Rabbit-Earred Giantess and Dragon of Destruction. The fate of everything could very well hang in the balance over what goes on when we launch the raid I'm planning on the Shie Hassakai stronghold I've located."

Everyone else at the meeting knew what the deal was; things could get really bad really quick. All of them had to put aside what grievances that they had and unite, to work together as one, if they were to stand a chance of pulling through and defeating the villains that they were facing. Endeavor who had fallen to villainy was posing a very serious threat, as he and his who followed him into villainy took over the Shie Hassakai and also got Eri back, which will let them produce more doses of the Quirk Destroying Drug. There's also how Dabi's Crew was also a legitimate threat, especially as Dabi has his two elite bodyguards ready to fight any and all who would come up to and try to oppose Dabi. The next few days could very well decide everything.

...

That evening over on UA grounds, the Big Three saw the Class 1-B students who were with them at the meeting earlier back to the dorms. When the group arrived at the doors leading into the 1-B dorm building, Mirio asked, "Hey 1-B kids, how's your classmate who was injured while working under Fat Gum? Do you know?"

"We... we got it that it's highly likely that Tetsutetsu's injury will permanently cripple him," Hiryu said, a sad look on his face, "To the point he may need to drop out of UA's hero course.

Itsuka had a concerned look on her face. "...I... I'm not sure if we're ready for this."

"Well we don't exactly have a choice," Tamaki said grimly, "There's a call for more persons than ever before to be on deck, so every person who is able-bodied and can legally be fielded has to answer the call."

Kinoko was about to speak up, but stopped short when she saw something out the corner of her eye. "...Oh, Class 1-A got back from one of their supplementary lessons to get their provisional licences," Kinoko said, making the others out turn to look and see the Class 1-A students file into their dorm building. The only Class 1-A student to notice the people on the front doorstep of the 1-B dorm looking their way was Jiro; she scowled bitterly at them, flipped them the middle finger, then turned to walk into her class's dorm.

Jiro's reaction made Kinoko and the other Class 1-B students feel shame and regret, even though none of them were guilty of the sabotage used to undermine Class 1-A and make them suffer an 'L'.

"Well that was friendly," Tamaki said dryly

"It was obviously aimed at me and my classmates, Tamaki-senpai," Itsuka said, "Not at you or the other senpais here."

"I... may have been dealt some of that hostility," Mirio admitted, "Oh, by the way, have your guilty classmates begun regretting what they've done?"

"Only Yanagi," Kinoko confirmed, "The boys, Monoma especially so, still feel that they were in the right to do such a thing just so our class can 'pull ahead' of 1-A."

A hint of unamusement was clearly there in Mirio's scowl. "Some of the boys in your class had gone too far, Kendo. Acting purely out of petty jealousy."

Some suspicion was in Tamaki's expression. "I think there might be more to it than pure petty jealousy and having an Endeavor-esque mindset. I think that there are some underlying issues here, issues that ought to be addressed. We shouldn't be quick to condemn, not until after we dig into the matter and see what all was driving the guilty boys of 1-B to have done what they did."

"That can come later," Itsuka said, "For now, my classmates and I ought to get some rest." The Big Three agreed, and thus the students all turned in for the evening. When the 1-B students returnng from the meeting at Sir Nighteye's agency got in, some of their peers tried questioning them on what all they talked about at the meeting, only for Itsuka to inform them that they were ordered by the pro heroes to not disclose anything. The other 1-B students backed off, some begrudgingly so, and allowed their fellows to be free from questioning along those lines.

However, Yui came in with an update on Tetsutetsu's condition. He's still out of it, and the medic team at the hospital Tetsutetsu is at are still working to try and both heal Tetsutetsu and save his ability to continue being able to do hero work. Some of the others are having hope, but a few of the girls, such as Yui and a very guilty Reiko, have a dreading feeling that Tetsutetsu's ability to continue in UA's hero course is doomed. Ibara, seeing her classmates having a lack of faith, said that they had to have more faith, but Setsuna who was able to tell Ibara was speaking from her faith told the vine-haired girl to take her bible and shove it.

There was still a few days to go before the raid on the Shie Hassaikai stronghold that Sir Nighteye was planning, and during said time the students of Class 1-B got in some more field work. It was something that Monoma boasted about while on UA campus, even making sure to be loud enough to be heard by any Class 1-A students he saw if he saw any within range of his vision. Itsuka told Monoma off, saying that him having led efforts of sabotage against 1-A, combined with his boasting, would lead to a build up of bad karma that will explode sooner rather than later and come back to bite their class on the ass.

Reiko, looking and sounding regretful and guilty, said that some of that debt of karma that Monoma was building up for their class as a whole had already come to pass, what with how their class is now known like 1-A but they unlike 1-A have a somewhat negative rep. There's also how Tetsutetsu, in his first instance of being out in the field to do real hero work, was injured badly and is running a high risk of being crippled into having to drop out of the hero course. Reiko, the only guilty student in 1-B who regrets taking part in sabotaging 1-A, felt that karma wouldn't be done punishing 1-B for some time yet.

Monoma merely told Reiko to liven up, that there always was a risk to the pro hero profession. He was confident that, in time, he and the rest of them will get in the field training they needed to contend with the best of them. Such an opportunity came about when a group of seven pro heroes, backed by the Big Three, led the nineteen active 1-B students on a mass job to surround a warehouse rumored to be a facility where Endeavor's interests in making Trigger is being done. The heroes would never lead so many heroes-in-training on such a job, but other pro heroes were tied up, meaning the short-handedness made things that necessary.

Each of the seven pro heroes and three members of the Big Three, for a total of ten experienced persons, would lead two of the first years in 1-B; Uwabami was one of the experienced persons and she brought Habuko along to be the twentieth first year to help even out the numbers. By the word of the pros and the Big Three, the first years had to wait outside and set up various measures to incapacitate and capture; fighting was meant to be a last resort or if there was no other choice. The warehouse was surrounded well enough, and the measures were set up, ready to capture those working under the disgraced Flame Hero.

The pro heroes busted into the warehouse, but to their shocked surprise they saw that the place had been abandoned. There were, however, signs that it was abandoned recently; some new looking equipment was laying about, there was a table off to the side with an abandoned game of cards on it, and there was even a half-eaten honey bun laying abandoned on a crate. Tamaki just by casually glancing at the abandoned half-eaten honey bun figured that the villains had all cleared out less than an hour prior to him and the others all showing up to raid the warehouse. "So we missed the guys working for Endeavor," remarked Mr. Brave.

Uwabami glanced at the equipment that was left abandoned in the warehouse. "...Some of the equipment here doesn't look like it can be used to produce drugs of any kind," Uwabami said, suspicion in her tone and expression.

Nejire was about to ask what Uwabami meant, but stopped short when all of the first years came running into the warehouse, chased in by Twice clones. The presence of the army of clones, the same kind that had slaughtered half of the hero academy students at the attack on Takoba National Stadium, alarmed the experienced persons as well as set degrees of fear into all of their hearts. When all of those on the hero side were inside of the warehouse and corralled into one group, they were all kept surrounded by the Twice clones as Spinner, accompanied by Rappa and Mr. Compress, stepped into view to confront them.

"Well well well," Spinner said, "You heroes sure did bring a lot of young herolings with you." The lizardman villain cast a quick glance at the 1-B students and Habuko. "...I'm noticing a distinct lack of Endeavor's son, however."

Before any of the heroes or hero students could speak, Usagi and Felgrand suddenly appeared by growing to size; the height of the warehouse allowed them to reach full height, although Usagi had to duck a little bit. The heroes and hero students were all concerned, as well as alarmed, that Dabi's two elites were here at the warehouse. "Yeah, I don't see that boy with red and white hair either," Usagi said, "Mr. Dabi said that setting this place up to look like Endeavor was here would be sufficient bait to lure in the red and white haired boy so we can grab him and use him as bait to lure in Endeavor."

Uwabami's eyes narrowed. "That would explain why the equipment abandoned here doesn't really look like equipment that could be used to produce Trigger. It's just random gear left here to make the warehouse look like it's an abandoned Trigger producing facility."

Pointing his katana at Uwabami, Spinner said, "I guess we'll take you heroes and your herolings hostage. We're under strict orders from Dabi to not kill whatever hostages we take, but that doesn't mean we can't rough you lot up if you prove to be a bit too feisty to-"

"Hey!" Usagi spoke up, cutting Spinner off in the process. Pointing at where Habuko and Itsuka stood with Uwabami, Usagi said, "You're Tsuyu's friend with the pretty scaly snake skin! And you're that orange ponytail girl who was with those girls that were saying mean things about Tsuyu, although you didn't say any of the mean things yourself!"

"...Oh yeah, La Brava mentioned something about that," Rappa said, "One of the herolings is a girl of importance to Usagi and Felgrand." Looking to the first year students, "And there's also the fact that Endeavor's boy ain't among you guys. So fess up. Where the hell is Endeavor's boy?"

So that's why the heroes were able to learn it as easily as they did that this warehouse was a facility managed by Endeavor's villainous interest to produce Trigger. It's in reality a front set up by Dabi's Crew to make it LOOK like Endeavor's interests were here in a bid to try and lure out Shoto Todoroki. The members of Dabi's Crew were still looking to grab Endeavor's youngest child in the hopes of using said child as bait to lure the disgraced Flame Hero, now a villain, out of hiding so that they could get to him and do with him as they saw fit. No doubt the giantess and the dragon seen rising up in the back of the swarm of Twice clones would be taking advantage of that.

Letting out a troubled sigh, Yosetsu said, "The guy you're looking for, Todoroki, he... he can't leave UA campus right now."

The villains arched wry eyebrows at that, although for those who wore masks it wasn't seen. "Oh?" Mr. Compress replied, "And why is that?"

"Todoroki is a member of Class 1-A," Nirengeki began to explain, "And all of Class 1-A, including Todoroki as well as Asui, had failed to pass the provisional licence exams which you guys attacked. Because of that failure, none of them got their provisional licences, meaning they aren't allowed out in the field."

"I find it very hard to believe," Felgrand spoke up, both him and Usagi clearly looking annoyed and a bit pissed off, "That Tsuyu had failed at anything. Given how great and awesome of a person she is, there's no way she could have failed." His gaze narrowing dangerously so, Felgrand went on, "...Unless of course someone had cheated against Tsuyu to make her fail."

"Actually... yeah that is exactly the case," Shihai admitted, drawing a mildly surprised look out of Monoma and the others in Class 1-B guilty of sabotaging Class 1-A to make them fail the provisional licence exams.

The Dragon of Destruction focused on Shihai, letting out a guttural growl. "...Do you know who it was?"

Fearing that Shihai would out of guilt and fear rat their group out, Monoma quickly spoke up, "I know as well! It was the girls who were saying mean things about your sister! They're the ones who made your sister and her peers fail by sabotaging them!"

"Oh that's real low," Uwabami muttered under her breath, too quietly for anyone else to hear.

Scowling bitterly, Usagi said, "So those mean girls not only call Tsuyu ugly, they also made her fail? We need to beat them up even more now!"

Pointing his katana at the heroes, Spinner said, "In the meanwhile, we ought to-"

*WRRRRRRRRRRRRR*

Spinner was cut off when the sounds of police sirens called out, prompting the villains present to have to scramble to get out of there. Mostly with the efforts of the Twice clones, the villains fought their way out and escaped, although it was mostly Felgrand with the rest of the villains who showed up (including the real Twice) on his back flying away who helped the group escape. The Twice clones left behind were able to distract everyone else long enough, and they were even able to get some solid hits in before they were all busted.

...

The police, when they showed up with a few pro heroes including Mirko and Ryukyu, questioned the heroes and hero students, they got the story that they were investigating a suspected Trigger producing facility ran by Endeavor, only to discover it was a front set up by Dabi's Crew in a bid to lure in Shoto Todoroki. The villains also learned that Todoroki and all of Class 1-A can't get out into the field right now due to being sabotaged to fail the provisional licence exams, and Monoma out of fear pinned the blame for it on the girls from the hero school Uwabami founded who were bullying Tsuyu.

It also turned out that Shihai was planning to pin the blame on Inasa and Inasa's peers at Shiketsu, figuring that Inasa's challenge towards 1-A would be a valid excuse to pass the buck to them. Laughing a bit nervously, Monoma said, "I... suppose I jumped the gun there. Sorry, my good man."

Rolling her eyes, Itsuka said, "Well good going, Monoma! Now the villains have a reason to potentially attack Uwabami's hero school!"

"There's also how the villains are pissed that they can't get to Todoroki," Setsuna pointed out, "At least very easily."

"And there's also how some of the boys in class were beaten badly by the villain clones just now and to be rushed to the hospital!" Yui snapped, mostly at Monoma, "So good going, Monoma! Your brazen recklessness in seeing our class shine over 1-A got lots of our own hurt bad and risks putting targets on the backs of the rest of us!"

Itsuka let out a troubled sigh; tensions were already rising between 1-B and 1-A, and now tensions were rising between individual members of 1-B. There's also how some members of 1-B were now out of action; Itsuka didn't know how badly the boys carried away just now are doing, but she hoped they were in better shape than how Tetsutetsu is doing right now. They already saw Tetsutetsu injured to the point he may have to drop out of the hero course; they don't want to see the same happen to any of their other peers.

END, CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Author's notes;

This chapter covers the meeting Sir Nighteye hosted to discuss the plans to raid the Shie Hassaikai stronghold, covering various points that ought to be taken into consideration. There's also some of Dabi's Crew luring some heroes and 1-B into a trap in the hopes of hooking Todoroki, but they instead learn that 1-A was sabotaged and can't be in the field right now. The villains are fed a lie that saves 1-B for the moment, but it'll be only for the moment as Dabi's Crew has ways to verify information and learn the truth of what happened.
