Adrian's POV
"Last night I was still frustrated that one of the clockwork pieces was stolen. But I didn't give up. So I immediately check my parents' notes to see what are the other pieces of the way to the Cane of Shavexia. Then I finally saw it. A strange jewel in the shape of a sun. The Crystal Sun. With its power it can be able to heat up any sort of area of object with a great solar power. Though the effects can be extremely dangerous. Then I finally get to see where it is located in. The beautiful state of Hawaii. Though for here, I might need some help to get there. Anyway, I finally saw a photo of some strange kangeroo that was shown next to where the location was marked. Who was that kangeroo? Well her name is Heatia Kanga. I was confused on who she is, so I went to sneak into one of the officers' rooms in Paris to steal files from them and read up on her. Growing up in a rich home, Kanga's parents were very neglectful. Every accomplishment, every great that that has happened, her parents act like she doesn't exist. It made her very sad and miserable. This went on until they were on a helicopter ride to Hawaii on vacation. Then something hit the helicopter which causes her to fall into the a volcano.

It seemed like she died, but her parents didn't care still. It makes me shock that people like this exists. And it makes me pissed off. Anyway, what turns out is that she is somehow alive. Not only that but she somehow has fire powers. And her first targets were of course her parents. Couldn't blame her. Someone even fund her and let her build land around Hawaii. This makes her in charge of the entire state. Some of the people who lived there didn't like how she runs things, but kept quiet. Others even tried to stand up for themselves, but get killed in the process. Did the Crystal Sun cause her to be like this? Or did something else help her? Either way. I need that artifact. And since that kangeroo is killing innocent people and controlling Hawaii... I might as well have some fun stopping her.

I made some calls to see who I can get to help me with this. So far, I found two people to help me with trying to find the artifacts. One of them was named, Miles Prower, but we usually call him Tails. And the other one is called Knuckles. We were all old friends in the orphanage. Tails was bullied as a kid just for having two tails. I don't know why they bullied him. So I quickly became his friend. Tails was one of the smartest people I know. Easily an awesome genius. Too bad for his parents though. Knuckles has had a big temper as a kid. He always was bullied just for not being as bright as the other kids and for being angry too easily. But he's easily one of the strongest people I've ever met. We managed to be friends together. Sadly we split apart. But since we're back and reunited, we can be able to work together to steal that artifact in Hawaii."

Paris

In a secret room, Adrian was laying on his couch while waiting for his old friends to show up. He was also thinking about the artifact and that cop he met.

He thinks to himself, 'I was so close to getting that and someone beat me to it. Damn it. Who would even steal them... besides me? But that fox in the museum... I never seen her before. Though she seems very familiar. Have I seen her before? She seems beautiful though... Wait what? Why am I thinking about her like that? Maybe I just haven't slept good. Maybe that's why.'

Then suddenly he hears a knock on the door. He goes to the door and looks through the eye hole. It was a yellowish-orange fox with two tails and a red echidna. It was his old friends. He quickly opened the door for them.

Then he said, "Tails. Knuckles. It's been so long."

Tails smiles and says, "We're very glad to see you again."

Knuckles however rolled his eyes and looked away while crossing them.

Adrian noticed this and smirks. Then said, "Still the same as always huh?"

"So why did you even called us," said the echidna.

The lucario sighed as he figures that Knuckles would want a real reason as to why he called the both of them.

So he said, "Well. I need your help. Both of your help."

Then he started telling them everything and what's his main plan.

"That's why I need your help guys," said the lucario.

Tails was concerned about this. He said, "This seems risky to just help you steal stuff. I mean it's very illegal."

Adrian replied, "It's not THAT illegal. I'm not asking to you to help kill someone. I just need some help stealing something. To help me achieve my parents legacy."

Knuckles then asked, "Why should we screw ourselves over trying to help you? You haven't reached out to us in years."

"I know. I'm sorry. Look I only call you guys because you two were the only ones I trust. I'm not asking as someone who needs partners. I'm asking as a friend. But if you guys don't want to then it's fine. I'll do it myself," said the lucario as he felt guilty.

Tails and Knuckles both looked at each other. Then they turned to him.

Tails said, "...I guess it won't hurt to help out a friend."

Knuckles sighed and also said, "Fine. But after this you owe us."

This makes Adrian smile. Then he said, "Great! Alright. We should prepare to go to Hawaii. I'll fill you in later before to leave."

They both nodded and went back to their homes. Then the lucario starts preparing before he goes to rest.

The Next Day
8:03 AM

Carmelita had arrived at the police department 3 hours ago and spent all the time trying to figure out who was that thief she saw. She wished there was a way for her to figure out where he is and who he is. She looked through so many files to see if she can find one on him. Nothing fits the description of him.

"Damn it... Nothing is shown to be connected to him. Maybe the chief has more files. Then I can bring him down and put him away for good," said the fox inspector.

Then she noticed Haran is in front of the door to her office.

He starts to say, "Hey Carmelita I-"

"No time, Haran. Need to focus. A new thief is spotted at the museum. Apparently, it held one of the missing clockwork pieces and no one even noticed," said the fox.

The red squirrel's eyes widened as he was surprised to hear what she said. Especially when she mentions of a new thief.

"Oh really. That's... interesting," said Haran as his tone of voice seems upset.

She didn't catch this as she was too busy.

He continued, "Well uh anyway. The chief wants you to go to Hawaii for a case."

This has her attention and it has her confused.

"Why? What's the emergency," asked the fox woman.

He answers, "It's to catch a dangerous criminal. He told me to give this file to you. He said that he trusts you to get the job done."

Carmelita didn't want to let this case go, but she can't let this dangerous criminal run free.

"Fine. Can you tell him the chief to talk to me once I get back," asked the fox cop.

Haran nods as Carmelita thanked him. Then she starts heading towards the airport.

"Another thief... of course. I'll make sure he rots in prison for good," said the squirrel as he watches Carmelita leave.

8:55 AM

Adrian had rested well. Then he waited a couple of minutes for Knuckles and Tails to show up. Once they showed up, they were in different attire. Tails was wearing goggles on his head. He also is wearing a belt with a patch. Then some bandages around his shoes (His appearance in Sonic Boom). Knuckles was wearing glasses on his head and a strange necklace. Then some strange gloves. (His Sonic Adventure 2 appearance but have the shovel claws from Sonic Adventure 1.)

Adrian greeted them, "Hey you guys. Very cool outfits."

Knuckles says, "Tails made these outfits. Said that we might need them."

Tails nods before saying, "That's right Knuckles. There could be a way in order for us to steal that Crystal Sun you mentioned."

"That's great. Alright, well we could probably use a private plane to get to Hawaii. Though it might cost a lot of money," said the lucario.

Tails chuckles before saying, "We won't need to spend anything. I already have a plane."

Adrian was confused, then Tails brought him and Knuckles over to see a red plane with three seats.

"I call it the tornado. It's built to go in such great distances in any aerial transportation. And plenty of other surprises," said the fox as he smiled.

Adrian said, "Nice work Tails."

Tails nods as he got into the pilot seat.

Knuckles asked, "You sure this will be good enough to reach to Hawaii?"

Tails answers, "I'm very positive Knuckles. I always make check ups with the Tornado. Plus... I have a plan."

He then brings out a map. Then points at it while he talks with his friends.

"Alright. Seems like this is the way to go if we want to enter Hawaii without alerting anyone," said the fox.

Adrian nods, but Knuckles seems reluctant about it. They both got in there seats as Tails starts the plane starts moving and it takes off into the air.

10:03 AM

Carmelita had arrived at the airport where she was going to see if a private plane was there for her. She was right as there was a private plane. She was lucky that the police department are paying for her ride. She got in and sat in her seat. There she placed all of her items on the table.

She looked at them and picked up the case file of the criminal she is supposed to stop and arrest.

She thought, '"Heatia Kanga." It's terrible what became of her. But she has to face justice. I don't understand why the chief wanted me on this. Sure I am the best cop of interpol, but she seems extremely dangerous. But that doesn't mean I won't try.'

She placed the case file down and picked up her notebook. It was on the thief she met back in Paris. The fox inspector didn't lose focus from it.

Carmelita thought, 'Why would he even go after the Clockwork piece? Maybe to sell it to make some money. But who is he... Whoever you are, I will make sure to put you away for good.'

Then she as she was flipping through her notebook, a photo dropped slowly on the ground. It was a photo of her and Sly Cooper. She looks at it and sighed.

Then she thought, 'I'm sorry Sly.'

So she stops looking through her files and goes to rest while waiting.

12:27 PM
Hawaii

Back with the trio, they were getting close to Hawaii. Until something hit them.

Knuckles asked, "What the hell was that?"

Tails typed something as he looks at a diagram of the plane.

"Oh no... I don't know how they spotted us but, the wing is in critical damage," exclaimed the fox as he tried to control the plane.

Adrian and Knuckles noticed that the right wing has caught on fire. They tried blowing air at the fire.

Tails exclaimed, "Guys prepare for landing!"

Eventually they landed but the plane kept going as it bumped into a lot of trees. Then it finally hit against a large rock.

All three of them started groaning. Then they start to get up and sat outside on the ground.

They got up while groaning in pain.

Knuckles asked, Ow... How the hell did they notice us?"

Adrian explained, "Maybe they have better security than we expected it to be."

Tails then looks at the map to wonder what went wrong.

"Oh uh guys... don't be mad but, I may have mis-calculated and turn to the wrong path.," said the two-tailed fox.

Knuckles exclaimed, "What?!"

Tails said sadly, "Sorry. I made a mistake."

Knuckles yelled, "We were almost killed!"

Adrian then said, "Calm down Knuckles. Alright. It was only a mistake. I'm sure Tails will be able to fix it up. Right?"

Tails nods at him while trying to put out the fire.

Adrian said, "You guys should stay here. I'm gonna go check out the island."

Tails then said, "Before you go, take this."

He gave Adrian a strange device that looks like binoculars.

"This can help you look at far distances, take any pictures, and talk with us if you need any help. Make sure to contact us if you need anything," said Tails as Adrian moves ahead.

He put on his hood and headed out into the island

He travelled through the island until he saw how great the island looks. But what's strange is that... there's a lot of dangerous guards and thugs patrolling the place.

Adrian notice this and contacts Tails.

"Hey Tails. How is the plane doing," asked Adrian.

Tails answers, "Well, not really good, but I should be able to get this done and repaired fully. Anyways, what's up?"

Adrian told the two-tailed fox, "I'm seeing a lot of guards around here. They even have searchlights just in case they spot someone dangerous."

Tails asked, "And that someone is you?"

"I mean is it obvious," said the lucario as he joked around.

Tails chuckled and starts thinking.

He starts to say, "Well they're probably making sure that no one trespassed into the state."

This causes Adrian to be shocked.

"Seriously? That's probably close to a thousand guards maybe," said the lucario.

Tails nods and states, "I agree. Luckily we are only in the island that's close to where she is hiding out."

Adrian nods and looks through his binoculars.

He thought, 'Man... This island looks very amazing. Too bad a lot of guards are around. Now... where do I find out... wait... aha! There it is!'

Adrian was able to find the very large volcano. Not only that, but there was a very big mansion. Though it seems to be protected by a shield. The shield seems to be powered by some weird fire energy.

He aimed his binoculars and took a picture.

The image was sent to Tails. Tails sees it on his computer and examines it.

"Oh wow! That's one powerful fire shield! That's probably gonna take a lot to work to turn off that shield," said the two-tailed fox.

Adrian asks, "So if I take down the shield I can be able to steal the Crystal Sun and kick Kanga's ass?"

Tails replied, "Basically yes. But we should form a plan first before acting out. Maybe go around and take some pictures. It might help us better with knowing what we are getting ourselves into."

Adrian nods and looks around the area.

He then spotted some weird satellites. With some very weird lasers aiming towards the shield. Seems very important.

He quickly took a picture.

After receiving the picture, Tails says, "Those satellites looks very high tech. Probably the reason why the shield is up. Keep going, Adrian."

The lucario quickly look through to see what else he can take for pictures. Luckily for him, he sees a few set of guards that are a lot more bigger than most of the others.

There were normal size kangaroos but also ones that are much bigger than the normal sized ones. He then quickly took a picture of them.

Tails explains, "Jeez... Never seen guys as big as them before. Maybe try to get a few more pictures inside Kanga's mansion."

Adrian was confused when asking, "But what about the shield?"

"Well maybe try to find a vent or another way of getting inside," said the intelligent fox.

Adrian looked for a vent that can be able to help him out. Luckily for him, there was a vent. Seems to be connecting to the Mansion building. He rushed over there without getting spotted by the guards.

Once he's near, he went inside. Now he was in the mansion. He looks around and felt very hot from the inside.

He used an earpiece to listen to Tails.

His friend explains, "Alright. Since you're finally in, I need a picture of Kanga and a picture of the Crystal Sun. But please make sure to not get spotted. If you alert the guards in there, then we won't get the jewel."

"Trust me pal, no one will see me," said the fighting type pokemon.

Adrian make sure to not get spotted while sneaking through the mansion.

As he searched, he sees two big doors. He was about to open it, until he stops himself.

He thought, 'Wait. Better not go through here. I'll probably get caught.'

The pokemon sees a vent next to the door. After opening it, he went through inside.

He crawled and crawled inside, until he was in a vent shaft that seems big enough for him to be in. He looks out and sees both Kanga and the Crystal Sun.

Adrian quickly took a picture of both of them.

Though it seems like Kanga is on the phone with someone. He couldn't be able to hear what she is saying.

Adrian then quickly headed back to Tails and Knuckles to discuss the plan.

While that happened, Carmelita was still on the plane heading to Hawaii. She was very close. The plane landed in Hawaii at a spot where she can't get spotted. Seems like she is able to go to the safe pathway unlike with Adrian and the others.

She gets her shock pistol ready before checking over the map of the island. Then headed out to investigate. Seems like she will meet them sometime in the island.
