He seems to realise, as he's yelling angrily about how much he loves her, that this isn't how it's supposed to be.

Veronica certainly knows it, and is sure she sees in Logan's eyes that he does too, when she agrees she loves him just as much.

All this is just a bandaid on a gaping, oozing wound that they gave to each other too long ago (and maybe every day since) - it won't fix anything at all.
