Three Promotional Exams have finished! But who has been dueling Baozhai?
We come to the Slifer Reds of Giorno's dorm, still in the Riding Duel Training Grounds. Giorno himself was seen on his D-Wheel while Baozhai was on hers. "Ms. Naga." Giorno called.
"What's up? You're not getting cold feet now, are ya? You challenged me, after all." Baozhai stated.
"Shouldn't you be wearing a helmet?"
"Heh. Aw… How sweet of you to worry~ But I don't really need one. This baby of mine, the Teotul, can take a hit and keep on truckin' like nothing happened."
"If you're so sure…"
"All right, enough chit-chat, hayseed. It's time to duel." Baozhai told him before starting the signal. The countdown started as a red light was glowing. "Riding Duel… Acceleration!"
At that, the light glows green, allowing both duelists to speed off.
Cue: Iron Age (Indivisible)
"Remember, Giorno. Just like with your Learner's Permit Exam, you'll need to take the first corner! It's a bit harrowing, don't you think?" Baozhai asked Giorno.
"You of all people should know that you need to focus on the Duel at hand. Because if you had, you would have noticed that I took the first turn!" Giorno growled as he, indeed, took the first corner and therefore the first turn.
"All right. Let's see what you've got, hayseed!" Baozhai provoked as she took the first corner after Giorno.

"I'm taking the first turn! And I'll start by summoning Traptrix Pudica!" Giorno declared as he summoned a young lady with blonde hair and the overall appearance of a nepenthes pudica.

"When Pudica is Normal Summoned, I can add one Traptrip Garden from my deck to my hand! Now appear! Circuit that guides life! Summoning condition is 1 non-Link Traptrix monster! Pudica, you're up!" Giorno declared to Pudica who nodded and was sent into the bottom Link Marker. "Link Summon! Appear! Link 1: Traptrix Sera!" He exclaimed as he summoned a girl with the overall appearance of a Drosera.

Giorno proclaimed as he summoned a cybernetic dragon. "When I do, though, its level becomes 4 and its Attack and Defense Points are halved!"

"And now I'll activate the field effect of Parallel eXceed! When he is Normal or Special Summoned, I can Special Summon another Parallel eXceed from my deck!"
"Not gonna happen. I'm playing the Infinite Impermanence trap from my hand since I have no cards on my field! Your Parallel eXceed's effect is negated!" Baozhai denied.
"Gh… I'm playing the Traptrip Garden Field Spell, setting two cards face down, and ending my turn." Giorno grimaced as he played the Field Spell which has the image of a golden flower field.
"My turn! Draw!" Baozhai huffed. "I'm activating the effect of Goldenhair, the Newest Plunder Patroll! By discarding one other Plunder Patroll monster from my hand, I can Special Summon her from my hand! I'll discard Blackeyes." She grunted as she summoned a pirate girl with a cutlass and the appearance of a troll.

"I place one card of my own face down. That's all for now." Baozhai finished her turn.
'That face down… What's she planning with it…?' Giorno wondered in his thoughts. "My turn! Draw! I'm activating the effect of Traptrip Garden! By banishing a monster I control, I can Special Summon a Traptrix monster from my hand or graveyard! I'll banish Parallel eXceed! Revive! Traptrix Pudica!"

"Open! Circuit that guides life! Summoning conditions are two Insect or Plant type monsters! I will send Sera and Pudica to the Link Markers!" Giorno declared as he sent the two monsters into the right and bottom Markers. "Link Summon! Link 2: Traptrix Cularia!" He shouted, summoning a young lady with pale hair and the overall appearance of an Utricularia.

"Now I will activate the trap Ice Dragon's Prison! This allows me to Special Summon a monster from your graveyard to my side of the field with its effects negated! I'll Special Summon Blackeyes, the Plunder Patroll Seaguide!" Giorno exclaimed as the trap spawned chains.
"I'm activating the Continuous Trap Plunder Patroll Booty!" Baozhai revealed her trap which has the image of multiple pirate trolls celebrating with their treasure. "This card lets me target one monster on your field and make it any attribute I want! I'll declare your Cularia a WIND Attribute~ Then! I can take one Plunder Patroll monster from my graveyard and either shuffle it into my deck or Special Summon it! I'll Special Summon the monster I discarded with Goldenhair's effect: Blackeyes, the Plunder Patroll Seaguide!"
The chains hit Baozhai's graveyard, but they were quickly broken by a crow pulling a pirate ship, both of which appeared on Baozhai's side of the field.

"Tch. Battle! Cularia attacks Blackeyes!" Giorno ticked as Cularia shot webs at Blackeyes which proved harmful for the poor bird and ship, causing them to explode. "During the End Phase of my turn, I can Special Summon a Traptrix monster with the effect of Cularia. Come forth! Traptrix Pudica!"
Pudica returns to Giorno's side, a bit peeved.

Pudica gives her peeved look to Giorno. "What's with that face, Pudica…?" He asked. Pudica simply turns her head away with her eyes closed. "Is this about summoning you a third time…?"
Pudica gave no answer, making Giorno sigh. "I'm sorry, but I can't afford to go easy on her. Tell you what: Next time I duel, I won't be using you. How does that sound?"
Pudica looks at Giorno with one open eye with a look that asks one simple question: Do you promise? "I promise." Giorno smiled. Pudica gives a gentle smile then goes into her defensive posture. "I end my turn."
"It's real sweet, what you promise to that little Duel Monster. Almost makes me feel bad for what's about to happen. Heh. Almost~ My turn! Draw! While I control a Plunder Patroll monster on my side of the field except this one, I can Special Summon Bluebeard, the Plunder Patroll Shipwright!"
Cue: Semitropic Destruction (Indivisible)
Baozhai brings forth a troll pirate with a blue beard.

"I'll now tune level 4 Goldenhair with level 4 Bluebeard!" Baozhai declared as Goldenhair turns into four green rings of energy and Bluebeard turns into four motes of light which all turn into a green beam of light. "Synchro Summon! Ride on! Plunder Patrollship Jord!"
Baozhai summons a pirate ship with a white and red flag.

"I'll now activate Jord's effect! By placing this monster into my Pendulum Zone, I can add one Plunder Patroll monster from my graveyard to my hand!" Baozhai continued.
"Wait, Jord is a Pendulum monster AS WELL as a Synchro Monster!?" Giorno gasped.
"That's right! And with Jord's effect, I'll send it to the Pendulum Zone to add Blackeyes back to my hand! And now for Jord's Pendulum Effect! By returning it to my Extra Deck, I can Special Summon one Plunder Patroll Token to both sides of the field in Defense Position and with an Attribute I choose! I'll declare LIGHT!"
With that, Baozhai summons one token on her side and one token on Giorno's side, both of which are normal trolls with pirate outfits.

Baozhai summons Blackeyes again.

"Open! Circuit that leads to a pirate's dream!" Baozhai commanded, the circuit appearing.
'A Link User as well!?' Giorno exclaimed.
"Summoning conditions are two monsters, including a Plunder Patroll monster! I'm sending my Token and Blackeyes to the Link Markers!"
The two monsters are sent to the bottom left and bottom right Link Markers. "Efry mashoshu… Efry masemao… Efry neera mashotenei!" Baozhai chanted in a different language. "LINK SUMMON! Lead the way! BLACKBEARD, THE PLUNDER PATROLL CAPTAIN!"
Baozhai summons a large pirate clothed troll with a black beard and an eyepatch.

"That language… It's from Ashwat, isn't it?" Giorno guessed.
"Yeah. It serves as a reminder that a dear friend of mine made me who I am today: A Heroic Duelist. My friend gave her life for this world against another godly being who would destroy it and make it anew. I took on the language of Ashwat as a way to honor it." Baozhai confirmed. "That chant means "every person, every place, every thing is connected"."
"I'm sorry to hear about your friend… but even so, I cannot hold back." Giorno pointed out.
"Heh. I never expected you to, Giorno!" Baozhai smirked. "I'm activating Blackbeard's effect! Once per turn, I can target one Effect monster I control including Blackbeard! I'm targeting Blackbeard!"
"Whatever you're planning, I'm putting a stop to it right now! I'm activating the trap Infinite Impermanence!" Giorno growled as a lightning bolt hit Blackbeard, nullifying his effect.
"Tch… Damn. Guess since I haven't used my Normal Summon or Set this turn, I'll go ahead and set the monster I just added face down! Your move!"
"My turn! Draw! I'll now Overlay level 4 Pudica with the level 4 Token you gave me!" Giorno declared.
"Wait, Giorno was an Xyz User!?" Denki exclaimed in shock.
"Well, yes. I thought you already knew?" Noel asked Denki.
"I-I wasn't there for that! I had to use the bathroom!"
"Really? I didn't even see you…" Nami pointed out.
"Probably because he wasn't that important to us…" Eleanor shrugged.
"YOUR WORDS HUUURRRT!" Denki wailed in heartbreak.
"With these two monsters, I will build the Overlay Network! Xyz Summon! Rank 4: Traptrix Pinguicula!" Giorno shouted as he summoned a young lady with the clothes of a pinguicula.

"Battle! Pinguicula attacks Blackbeard!" Giorno growled as Pinguicula shot out flower pollen that was poisonous to the captain, destroying him.

"Finally dealt some damage! Good work, Giorno!" Nami cheered.
"Heh. Don't get so cocky. My GRAM hits harder!" Baozhai taunted.
"We'll see how hard I'll be hitting you next turn. I'll place one card face down and end my own turn." Giorno said.
"My turn! Draw! I'm summoning Redbeard, the Plunder Patroll Matey!" Baozhai declared as he summoned a troll with a red beard in pirate clothes.

'Here it comes again…!' Giorno grimaced.
"I tune level 4 Goldenhair with level 4 Redbeard to Synchro Summon back to the field Plunder Patrollship Jord!"

"This time, I'll end my turn with that." Baozhai stated to him.
"Giorno's got her on the defensive and he hasn't even played one single Trap Hole card…" Noel hummed.
"You think he's got this…?" Denki asked.
"That remains to be seen." Eleanor answered.
"I wasn't asking you…" Denki pointed out. "See? I can be cruel too!"
Eleanor looked at him with a glare which made him flinch and back off, metaphorically speaking.
"During the End Phase of your turn, I'm activating the trap Traptrix Holeutea! This card Special Summons itself as a Normal Monster in Defense Position!" Giorno exclaimed as he revealed a trap with the image of a young lady in the clothes of an Ibicella lutea.

End Song and cue: il vento d'oro (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind)
"My turn! Draw! Open! Circuit that guides life! Summoning conditions are two or more monsters, including a Plant or Insect type monster! I will send Holeutea and my Link 2 Cularia to the Link Markers!"
Cularia splits into two and turns into two vortexes while Holeutea just changes into a vortex. All three of them then spiral into the left, right, and bottom Link Markers. "Fight with me even if there is no hope! Our prayer will never vanish into dust as it all begins in the golden wind! LINK SUMMON! Spin your webs! Link 3: TRAPTRIX ATYPUS!" Giorno chanted as he summoned a young lady with the clothes of the atypus insect.

"With her on the field and a Normal Trap card in my graveyard, all of my Traptrix monsters gain 1000 Attack Points!"
ATYPUS, PINGUICULA, AND PUDICA ATKs: 1800 + 1000 = 2800, 2500 + 1000 = 3500, and 900 + 1000 = 1900
"And now I'll use the effect of my Holeutea from my graveyard! By banishing it, I can Special Summon a Traptrix monster from my graveyard! Come on back, Traptrix Cularia!" Giorno commanded as he summoned Cularia back to the field.

"I'll now switch my Pudica to Attack Position. Battle! Pinguicula attacks Battleship Jord!" Giorno declared as Pinguicula drove herself into the ship then out of it, making it sink and explode. "Cularia attacks that set monster!" He exclaimed as Cularia threw her webs at the set monster, who was revealed to be Goldenhair again.

The webs wrap around her and give a toxic fragrance that destroys Goldenhair. "And now Pudica and Atypus attack directly!"

The members in Giorno's dorm cheer for his victory. Giorno stopped his D-Wheel after passing through the finish line while Baozhai stopped short as her D-Wheel emitted steam. "Passed with flying colors, hayseed. I didn't even deal one point of damage to you. Congrats, Giorno Giovanna. You passed with flying colors~"
"RAGNAAA!"
Natsu was seen roaring at Ragna. In public. With everyone in sight. The reason why Natsu roared at him was because he saw him.
"Oh jeez… Dude! Seriously!? In front of everybody!?" Ragna yelled.
"IF I HAVE TO!"
"Christ… What the hell do you want!?"
"I. Want a rematch." Natsu said.
"...You could've just notified me the normal way." Ragna grunted.
"You wouldn't have listened!"
"Yes, I would, you idiot!"
"Oh yeah!? Prove it!" Natsu provoked.
"Gladly! I'll throw down with you right now!" Ragna growled as he pulled out his duel disk.
"But remember: No holding back!" Natsu reminded him as he did the same. "Also! When I win, I get promoted to Ra Yellow!"
"Fine." Ragna accepted. "IF you win."

"I'll go first. I'll kick things off by activating the Spell card Pot of Duality!" Ragna began as he showed a Spell that featured a pot with a noble face in the front while the back featured the same greedy face of Pot of Greed. "This card lets me excavate the top 3 cards of my deck and add one of them to my hand. However, I am unable to Special Summon for the rest of the turn once I activate it." He said as he did the former effect.
"I'll add Lord of the Heavenly Prison. Next, I'll activate Pot of Prosperity. By banishing 3 or 6 cards from my Extra Deck face down, I can excavate the top cards of my deck for each one I banished and add one of them to my hand. I'll go ahead and banish six cards." He continued as he did so, revealing the top six cards of his deck.
"I'll add Infinite Impermanence. I'll then set three cards face down and activate my Lord of the Heavenly Prison's effect from my hand. By revealing this card and keeping it revealed until the end of my opponent's turn, none of my set cards can be destroyed. I end my turn."
"My turn! Draw! I'll activate Pot of Greed to draw two cards! I'll then Summon Salamangreat Foxy!" Natsu began his turn as he summoned a blue fox with flames at the end of its tail.

"And now my Foxy's effect activates! I get to-"
"You don't get to do anything. I'm activating my Infinite Impermanence trap card!"
A lightning bolt interferes with Foxy's effect. "And with that, I'm able to Special Summon Lord of the Heavenly Prison!"
"What!? How!?" Natsu asked.
"Whenever someone activates a set Spell or Trap card, I'm allowed to Special Summon him. Then, if I activated this effect while the card was revealed, I'm allowed to reveal then set one Spell or Trap card from my deck. However, if I don't activate it during the End Phase of the next turn, I must banish it. So come on out! Lord of the Heavenly Prison!" Ragna commanded as he summoned a giant rock monster of darkness.

"I'll reveal then set a second Pot of Duality."
"In that case, I'm activating Cynet Mining! By sending a card from my hand to the graveyard, I can add one level 4 or lower Cyberse monster from my deck to my hand! I'll send Salamangreat Spinny from my hand to the graveyard to add Gazelle to my hand! Then I get to use my Gazelle's effect to Special Summon it!" Natsu declared as he summoned Gazelle.

"And now for its effect! When it's Normal or Special Summoned, I get to send a Salamangreat monster from my deck to the graveyard! Buuut, I'll go ahead and chain its effect with the Quick-Play Spell Salamangreat Circle! This allows me to add one Salamangreat monster from my deck to my hand! I'll add Salamangreat Jack Jaguar! And now, with the effect of Gazelle, I'll send a second Jack Jaguar from my deck to my grave!"
"Are you done with your turn yet? I've got a job to do." Ragna growled impatiently.
"I'm sure it's important, but it'll have to wait! I'm not done yet!"
"Of course you aren't…"
"Open! Circuit that leads to my dreams! Summoning condition is 1 Salamangreat monster! I'll send my Foxy to the Link Marker!" Natsu declared as Foxy sends itself into the bottom Link Marker. "Link Summon! Link 1: Salamangreat Baelynx!"

"When Baelynx is summoned, I can add one Salamangreat Sanctuary from my deck to my hand! And now, I'll promptly activate it! With that on the field, I'll activate the effect of Spinny from my graveyard! Since I control a Salamangreat monster other than Spinny, I can Special Summon it!"

"Appear again! Circuit that leads to-"
End Song and Cue: Scamper (Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2)
"Nothing." Ragna huffed. "I'm activating my trap card Full Force Virus!" He interrupted by activating a trap with the image of a flat bat with a Japanese word on it. "By tributing a DARK monster with 2000 or more Defense Points, I can look at your field, all cards in your hand, and every card you draw until your 3rd End Phase and destroy every single monster with 1500 or less Defense Points!"
"WHAT!?"
Ragna's Lord of the Heavenly Prison disappears. Two of Natsu's Salamangreats are destroyed, but Baelynx remains on the field. "Since your Link Monster has no Defense Points, it is unaffected by Full Force Virus. However, you have two monsters with 1500 or less Defense Points, Lady Debug and your Jack Jaguar, so they're both gone."
"I can still battle since I have Baelynx!" Natsu growled.
"You'll do no such thing. I'm activating my final trap card: Back to the Front! This allows me to Special Summon a monster from my graveyard in Defense Position! Revive! Lord of the Heavenly Prison!"

"...Heh… Heheh…" Natsu suddenly chuckled then laughed. "Yeah… That's what I'm talking about! This is what I wanted the first time! I'll place two cards face down then use the effect of Sanctuary and Link Summon a second Baelynx!"

"Heh. You're awfully excited for someone who's about to get their ass kicked. My turn! Draw! I'll switch my Lord to Attack Position then proceed to my Battle Phase! Lord of the Heavenly Prison will attack your Salamangreat Baelynx!"

"I'm activating the trap Salamangreat Rage!" Natsu declared, showing a trap card with a rampaging Salamangreat monster. "Since I control a Salamangreat Link monster that was summoned using a monster with the same name as material, I can destroy one card on the field! I'll choose your Lord of the Heavenly Prison!"
"What!?" Ragna exclaimed as he witnessed his Lord crumble before the roaring of Baelynx. "Tch. I set one monster face down then activate my second Pot of Duality." He said as he revealed the top three cards of his deck. "I'll add Lair of Darkness then activate it."
"Nice try, buddy! I'm activating the Counter Trap Salamangreat Roar!" Natsu denied as he activated a trap that had the image of a Salamangreat roaring at its opponent. "When you activate a Spell, Trap, or Monster effect while I control a Salamangreat Link monster, I can negate that card or effect and destroy that card!"
"Dammit…!" Ragna cursed. "I can't Special Summon this turn, so I'll have to go ahead and end my turn."
"My turn! Draw! I drew a Spell card. Triple Tactics Talent." Natsu revealed. "...I'll attack your set monster with Baelynx!"
Baelynx reveals Ragna's set monster, Lilith.

Baelynx scratches Lilith, destroying her. "I end my turn. I can't do anything."
"My turn! Draw! By banishing a trap card from my graveyard, I can Special Summon Alice, Lady of Lament! I'll banish Infinite Impermanence!"

"Next, I'll summon Malice, Lady of Lament!" Ragna grunted as he summoned a blue haired demonic woman.

"Now for the ass whooping. Malice will attack Salamangreat Baelynx!" Ragna declared as Malice cuts Baelynx down with her claws.

Natsu declared, showing a spell with a Salamangreat monster surrounded by a burning vortex. "Once per turn, during my Main Phase, I can Special Summon a Salamangreat monster from my graveyard! Come on back! Salamangreat Baelynx!"

"My turn. Draw! I'll set one card face down. Malice attacks Baelynx!"

The three Salamangreats turn into red vortexes that go into the top, bottom left, and bottom right Link Markers. "Link Summon! Link 3: Salamangreat Heatleo!"
The lion of fire comes to Natsu's side, roaring with a pose.

"Tch…"
"And now I'll use Sanctuary's effect to Reincarnation Link Summon! The sun and moon join in celebration! Go forward, more and more! Don't give up! Reincarnation Link Summon! Show your heated soul! Link 3: Salamangreat Heatleo!"
Flames surround Heatleo, granting him more power.

Heatleo's flames burned too hot for Malice, destroying her.

"I end my turn!" Natsu declared.
"My turn. Draw! I'll summon the Shadowpriestess of Ohm!" Ragna exclaimed as he summoned a woman with a black priestess's hat, blue robes, and a whip.

"I'll now use her effect! Once per turn, I can tribute a DARK monster and inflict 800 points of damage! I'll tribute Alice!" Ragna proclaimed as he made Alice turn into harmful energy that launches itself into Natsu.

"I'll set the card you returned to my hand with Heatleo's effect and end my turn."
"My turn! Draw! I'll summon a third Salamangreat Jack Jaguar!" Natsu retaliated as he summoned a jaguar with spikes of fire.

"I'm activating Scrap-Iron Scarecrow!" Ragna growled, the trap negating the attack.
