Welcome back to the Dissidia Final Fantasy intros series! Today, we step into something I've waited a long time to do. Today, our dragons of Light and Dark will have their Rival Cutscenes play out. I've waited long enough to do this, so let's not waste a second! Here we go!
Spyro and Malefor: Rival Cutscene
(The scene opens with Spyro being flung back across the stage by Malefor)
Malefor: It is just as I told you last time we fought. You are alone here, young dragon. Your friends have all abandoned you. You have no chance of victory. The Great Cleansing will not be stayed this time.
Spyro: (Getting back to his feet) I refuse to stand aside while you destroy everything!
Malefor: Such determination. We definitely share other qualities besides that of our color.
Spyro: I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I am nothing like you!
Malefor: All this time, and you still believe that. Everywhere you go, destruction follows you. Every world you touch suffers at your hand. Every life you chance into is worsened by you. (Charges up a bolt of Aether) Your foolish hopes destroyed them all, just as it shall destroy you!
(With that, Malefor unleashes a massive bolt of Aether, which hits Spyro dead on. He should be dead, but as the dust settles, Spyro emerges unharmed)
Spyro: The only thing hope destroys is the power of tyrants.
(Malefor knows Spyro will not give up and prepares for battle)
Spyro: Hope bested you before, and so shall it again!
