Chapter 2

"Hey, I' am Angel" he said holding out his hand.

Shaking it, Bella smiled noticing how cold it was.

"Why didn't you tell anyone about me, you don't seem afraid" he asked sitting on the bottom of her bed.

"I used to date one of your kind called Edward, he left town with his family a few months ago because he thinks he is protecting me, he feds on animals"

"I use human blood bags, i have a regular supplier back home in LA or from hospitals only a little at a time so people don't notice they are missing" he replied.

"Your from LA, that's a long way" she asked, rather surprised.

"I have a private jet that brings me and my family here, we recently heard there were vampires in this town so we wanted to see whats going on"

"As i said they have left but there is a slight problem of one called Victoria who is trying to kill me, because Edward killed her partner James who was trying to kill me at the time, thats why i have been having nightmares, no protection"

"We can protect you...what a mess, what about your dad does he know?" asked Angel.

"No he doesn't, he doesn't even know about Edward, its best kept that way"

"I agree" he replied.

"Where are you staying, is your house in town" she asked.

"Its not in town but an old mansion in the woods, that needs a lot of work so we are staying in the hotel for the time being, that's where my wife, son and the others are at the moment working" he said. "The wife and Spike are like me, but not Connor he is adopted and knows all about us" lied Angel 'not wanting to scare her even further or put them at risk' "he is a year above you and will be starting school in the morning, so you'll see him then"

After a lengthy talk with Angel well into the early hours of the morning, Bella had no sleep once he had left through the window easily, by then Charlie was getting up for early breakfast as he started work at six am, he knocked on her door checking on her as she had not woken him up with her screaming all hours of the night. "Did you get any sleep?" he asked, with a worried frown seeing her tired eyes.

Shaking her head, she went for a shower and changed her clothes, then realised how hungry she was as she had not been eating, having toast which Charlie said "this is a good sign your eating again, i was getting worried"

"Sorry" she mumbled with a mouthful of toast, already feeling better.

Heading out to school, slightly earlier than every one else, Bella noted her truck was the only one there and sighed unbuckling her seat belt and getting out.

Heading into school it was very quiet with her footsteps echoing as she walked to the ladies room, after words, she was washing her hands and looked in the mirror and let out a scream when Victoria's red curly hair and pale face came behind her and everything went black as something was forced over her head.
