"I swear sometimes they act like they really are over one hundred years old." Shuri rolled her eyes as she and Natasha returned to the living room and found their boyfriends asleep in the two armchairs.
"Thankfully, not all the time." Nat smiled, perching next to Steve and messing with his hair until he eventually stirred.
Shuri had her own alternative approach.
"On your feet, soldier!" she yelled near Bucky's ear.
He woke with a start, took a second to get his bearings, then immediately faked a glare at her.
"You're hilarious," he deadpanned.
"Thank you," she replied anyway, grinning as she dropped into his lap. "We cleaned up, by the way, like quaint little American housewives from your old days."
"But please, don't get used it," Nat advised, giving Steve a look.
"We're really not that stupid," he promised her, "and for guys born a century ago, I like to think we're pretty modern men, right, Buck?
When he turned to look to his friend, he found Bucky and Shuri far too distracted with kissing each other to realise they even had company anymore.
"Ah, young love," said Nat with a grin.
Steve only laughed and shook his head.
