Rumiko sat under the moon light, a glass of wine in one hand sitting on top of the dilapidated shrine. "You know staring bitterly isn't going to do anything for either of us, so why don't you come down?"
"We's agreed, to wait until he's had AT LEAST, freed all of us!" A purple oni hissed from the trees.
"You all agreed, I having met humans that transformed wanted to feed him my blood the moment he freed me." The kitsune shrugged "The younger the transformation the better the body adjusts."
Akira sighed forgoing her usual drunken speech, she voiced her concerns "but that's not the only factor here, what of Naruto's family, what of the village how will they react?"
"Who said they were going to find out?~" Rumiko smirked "The first thing we will teach him is better transformation and how to blend with society."
"And what of the blood craze? Transformed yokai especially ones connected to animals such as kitsune have a strong desire to feed off of humans blood. What if he goes feral for a time as many do? How will the boy handle that?" Akira was livid, at how careless her friend was acting "and what of his mate? Will you force her, who lives in a huge clan to suffer that too, as she is surrounded by her family? You already declared your intentions with her."
"DO NOT LETURE ME, ON THIS AKIRA!" Rumiko screamed "LEST - lest you forget it was my family who was kilt when the dark sage forcefully yokaified those kids! It was me who had to put down the those same kids because no one else could! IT IS ME WHO RESEARCHED NIGHT AND DAY ON HOW TO SAFELY TURN A HUMAN INTO A YOKAI MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE!" Akira said nothing her face somber as Rumiko continued "Yokaification is a specific type of transformation. The body gets hungrier as it needs energy to grow, or in this case complete the metamorphosis into a yokai. The older you are you more energy is needed to transform, the more you have to eat. So if we make Naruto transform younger, he will have drastically less cravings for blood. Also as his body will adjust to the changes with his growth, it is highly unlikely he will ever 'go feral' the later it is the more likely he will."
"that's all fine but Im still worried." I's gots emotional over the kid. Don't wants 'em to suffer more than 'es had." Akira nodded slipping back into her drunken speach
Rumiko glanced at her friend then back at the moon "you've read the mummy's notes, outside the red clouds there are other's making their moves. Namikaze's Madara is out there,
mizukage is committing genocide, others are researching the yokai temples. And that other group 'remembrance' how they act reminds me of the old days too much for comfort it was just like…" Rumiko interrupted herself "He sadly was born into a time that will transition from peace and ease to chaos and strife. We need to prepare him and his mate."
The purple oni jumped down to the temple roof hugging her friend with one arm "So it seems. Danzo had the Darkness and Forrest scrolls. We's can begin' his trainin' with them. I on't like dis- what ya's done but it's done. I'lls help the kid transform safely. "
The fox smiled at her friend "Thank you"
"But we's are explainin' to his parents whats going to happen. Not now but eventually." Akira looked at her friend. "Dey diserve ta know"
"of course" Rumiko agreed "But we need to do this carefully. We worked too hard to let them in to Naruto's life, we don't want to risk him losing them again." The two stared at the moon from the top of the temple sharing sake the rest of the night.

Back in the village at the same time Akira confronted Rumiko a small gathering of academy graduates took place in what should be a closed resturant.
"And you're sure this place is safe Choji?" A tense Satsuki asked her arms folded "No Jonin or any other snoops are going to be listing in to us? This is very important."
The portly boy responded "For the tenth time since we set up the privacy seals, YES! This is a civilian owned restaurant my clan owns, there are no secret passages and no listing devices and you had each of us check every nook and cranny you even had Hinata use her byakugan to triple check, then had Naruto transform into a mouse and run through the vents!"
A clone Naruto squeaked "I am cheesed to say were all clear!" before he was stabbed by Kiba and three others.
Sasuke sighed "Drop it Satsuki were safe, Is everyone here?" After a few "yes"es, "i'm here"s and one "I'm missing, actually" courtesy of Naruto being a little shit, Sasuke continued "ok, so lets get started." Sasuke inhaled deeply "Well, I say that but I don't know where to begin."
"It's ok" Sakura stated trying to be understanding, "take your time."
"Why don't you start with why you called us all here? Then we can go from there" Mito supplied
Satsuki nodded "Ok, as you all know our clan, recently was attacked. About one fifth was … killed by our older brother." Everyone nodded "people said he just snapped and act like theres nothing more to the story, one day one of the greatest ninja of our time just snapped and went on a murder spree… but theres more to the story then that." There was a pause as Satsuki tried to think what to say next. Menma and Mito twitched "We can't can't share everything for a multitude of reasons. But know this, there was a deeper reason for what itachi did."
"It almost seems like your trying to defend him." Kiba accused squinting the betrayal of one's pack is the highest crime in his clans eyes and yet…
"Kiba back off!" Sakura warned, raising her fist. "It's taking a lot of courage for them to reach out to us!"
"We're not defending Itachi," Sasuke said as Kiba flinched from Sakura "But we are saying not to just say he was a mindless killer. He had his reasons he felt like he was …pushed no, forced to do what he did. Itachi did still kill those people, still joined a terrorist group, still hurt us…" Kiba nodded.
"And Im guessing you know the reasons." Shikamaru stated more than asked
"DROP IT SHIKAMARU!" The four voices of the Kyubi duo and the uchiha twins yelled before Satsuki took over "Look, this isn't a puzzle for you to solve, this is a family issue lined in clan and village secrets. Secrets that put us, our clan, and others at risk if it gets out. We can't tell you everything yet but we felt that since your our friends, you deserved this much with how we've been acting." The Nara boy nodded, but did take stock of who yelled.
"Thank you for trusting us this much." Sakura smiled. "we hope to prove our trust." The twins returned the smiled. Hinata muttered something about gossiping brats, but almost no one heard her. Naruto squeezed her hand. She smiled at him.
"Now that thats we started, I bought some food for us and Choji said we could eat here provided we clean up." The ninja had a small party and talked a bit more about Itachi and the clan, Sasuke and Satsuki's goals to end the organization he joined, the other members dreams and many other things though they were already friends the small group of kids made a vow that night and dedicated to protecting konoha, working towards a better future, and the realization of their dreams. Even though many had secrets they could not share yet one, it did not matter to them.
