One Week Later...Mariner Bay...

its been a week since Jay woke up from her coma. She got released from the hospital and was now back in her home in Mariner Bay with her big brother Ryan. To Ryan he couldn't be happier she was okay but for Jay its been a week of heartbreak. Jay got the news that considering how bad her knee was injured her dreams of playing basketball were over.

Since Jay arrived home she had locked herself in her room. Not eating. Not sleeping. Ryan would constantly try and get her to talk but nothing the whole week since she got home.

"I don't know what to do Dana". Ryan Mitchell said with his head in his hands while sitting next to his sister. Little did they know Jay was sitting against her door listening.

"Ryan, Dad and i spoke we have an idea". Dana told him. "Tommy's Mom took a new job in Angel Grove as a therapist we were thinking that maybe Jay would talk to her. Just think about it and let us know what you decide".

Jay listened with a broken heart hearing they wanted to send her away."You want me gone fine". She whispered as she climbed out of her window. She took one glance back and limped away as night began to close in.

Ryan walked to her door noticing her door was ajar. "Jay?". He walked in shivering as the cold air grazed his skin. "Jaylynn" He called but no answer. Panic began to creep into his chest. Ryan picked up his phone and dialed her number.

"Hi this is Jaylynn you know what to do".

"Jay its Ryan where are you please call me back". He spoke as he dialed Dana's number.

"Hello?"

"Dana its Ryan did Jay go to your house?"

"No why?"

"Dana she's gone, her room is empty and her window is wide open. Oh God she must have heard us".

"Ryan calm down. Listen Carter is doing something at the lagoon maybe she is gone there". Dana told her worried brother.

Ryan hung up and ran to the lagoon. He opened the gate to see his friend walking to his own truck. "Carter!".

"Ryan hey man". Carter greeted but frowned noticing the look on Ryan's face. "Ryan what's wrong?"

"Is Jay here?"

"No why?"

"Carter Jay left the house and she won't answer her phone. She must have overheard Dana and I talking about wanting to get her help". Ryan rushed out. "Carter she is still recovering"

"Hey come on lets go back home and grt everyone together". Carter suggested as they went back to the house.

As the hours passed everyone was out looking for the hurt girl but no luck. The Mitchell family were in a state of fear as no one could get in touch with her. The skies were dark and it was freezing.

Reefside...

Jaylynn Mitchell walking down the highway in agony dragging her leg behind her. She was freezing as she rubbed her bare arms. She noticed a sign. Valencia Road. She mustered what strength she had and walked to the lone house.

Tommy Oliver along with his new rangers were hanging out in the dino lab after a tough battle. They headed upstairs.

"Goodnight guys see you in class Monday". He told his three students.

"Uh. Dr.O there is someone on your porch". Ethan stated as he saw a figure curled up. Tommy walked out and knelt in front of her.

"Hey are you alright?" He asked. The girl looked up through her long bangs. "Jaylynn?". Tommy's heart sunk as he saw who was shaking on his front porch. "Conner run to the hall, third door there are blankets in there". Tommy ordered him.

Tommy slowly picked her up and carried her to the spare room down the hall. He took the blanket from Conner and wrapped her in it. "Hey Jay look at me okay". He urged her. "Jay what are you doing all the way here?"

The three rangers sat around her. They heard about the girl but never met her.

"They don't want me around anymore" She told him so low he could barely hear her. Her tears running down her scarred cheek. She brought her knees to her chest. "They want to send me away. Can i stay here? please?". Her eyes begging him.

"Okay shorty you can stay here but we will talk more about this in the morning". He told her firmly. "Jay this is Conner, Kira and Ethan. Guys this is Jaylynn Mitchell".

"Hey" They all waved.

"We're glad you are okay, we met your brother". Kira told her with a light smile. The teens left and went home leaving Jay and Tommy alone.

"Jay please talk to me, how did you get here?".

"I walked". She told him simply.

"You walked from Mariner Bay to here on that leg?" He asked her sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I did. I had to get away from that house". She replied putting on one of his huge shirts to sleep in. "I don't want to go back. Ever."

"Okay get some sleep. I won't tell then your here for now".

"Thanks Tommy". She whispered as the warm blankets covered her. Tommy sighed sadly as he went to his own room.

The next morning Jay sat up as she heard birds outside her window. She sat up and smiled at the sun shining outside. She walked out into the kitchen.

"Those for me?" She asked pointing to the eggs that were on a plate.

"Maybe". Tommy replied with a grin. "Talk". He told her getting straight to the point.

She sighed. "Ryan, Dad and Dana want to send me to go talk to your Mom".

"Yeah Mom told me about that. Ryan also told me about it. He also told me your not sleeping or eating. Jay its not a bad thing to get help". He told her.

"Tommy its not only that. The night it happened i found out that Ryan bought a house here without telling me. To make it worse i found out he kept his morpher. All i ever wanted after the demons were gone was a normal life. I guess Dad's obsession never went away and now my dream of playing Basketball is over". She yelled slamming her hands on the table. "Dana got her dream of being a doctor. Ryan got his of becoming a firefighter so where does that leave me?! its leaves me useless and a cripple at 17!".

"Jay his obsession did go away, you remember that the cafe owner told you that he built part of the base for you to hang out in. Jay i helped him rebuild it".

Jay's eyes widened as she remembered what Mister Parker told her. "You did?"

Tommy nodded. "I did the night of the explosion Ryan met up with me and everyone to surprise you for your 17th birthday but then you got hurt"

Jay sat on his couch with nothing but guilt in her heart. "What do i do? i can't go home. Tommy i remember the night and the fight we had i said horrible things to Ryan. Please let me stay here. I promise to stay out of the way when it comes to ranger business".

"Okay fine but you know your going to have to face them at some point. Just do me one favour find a way to let them know your safe okay?"

"Deal". She told him with a smile. "By the way black looks good on you". She told him with a wink.

Tommy shook his head mentally cursing on what would come next.

Mariner Bay...

Its been a whole day since Jay left her home that she shared with her brother and worried was the word of the day. Anger was setting in.

"Any word?" Carter asked as he met Ryan at the lagoon.

"No, nothing. Dana checked the hospital. Dad and the department searched the whole city last night. Carter i can't do this again. We almost lost her once and now she is gone again". Ryan stammered looking at the calm water.

Jaylynn parked Tommy's jeep in the distance as she watched the two men talk. She limped up to Ryan's truck and placed the note along with a silver balloon and a small box on the hood. "Happy Birthday Ryan I love you". She whispered as she drove back to Reefside.

Ryan and Carter walked back. "Ryan look". Carter pointed to the hood. Ryan picked it up frantically looking around but saw no one.

Once they got home he called Dana and his Father to come over. Ryan blew out a shaky breath and opened the enevelope.

Ryan, Dad and Dana...

I know by now you know i'm gone. I know i haven't been the easiest to deal with and i'm sorry. Ryan that night i let my emotions get the best of me when you told me about your new job and wanting to move to Reefside. I remember what i said you not only have been my brother for the past four years but your also my rock. I'm sorry for telling you otherwise. I'm sorry i failed all of you with how i acted. But my actions made it clear i am not welcome to come home since you all want me gone. I will get the help i need but on my own terms.

I'm writing this tell you that i am safe and sound. I can't come home now after what happened and what i said.

Dad i found out the reason you rebuilt the part of the base and i couldn't be more grateful. Someday i will go see it with you.

Dana thank you for everything you did at the hospital for me when i was in a coma. I am glad you finally got your dream to not only be a paramedic but a wonderful doctor. I'm proud of you sis.

I am glad you all got your dreams after the demons were banished but my dream of playing basketball is over. I hope you all stay safe out there. I hope someday you all can find it in your hearts to forgive me when i do come home.

I also know today is your birthday Ryan and the first one without me but left me some money after the cafe got destroyed so i got this token for you. I hope you like it.

Ryan choked back tears as he finished reading the note. Dana handed him the small grey box. As Ryan opened it he saw a silver ring with a white stone in the middle. "I never wanted you gone". He whispered slipping the ring on his right ring finger.

"At least we know she is okay.". Dana assured him. "I never knew she felt this way after she woke up."

"None of us did. We should have been more patient now she is god knows where. i just hope she is not alone". Ryan snapped.

"She'll come back, i know she will. Remember Ryan this is how you felt those years ago but you found it in your heart to come back and she will to". Their Dad said quietly. "Come on son i know this is going to be hard but you have to be in Reefside in a couple of weeks so you need to pack up this house".

Ryan nodded slowly. Carter excused himself as his pager went off. His Father followed leaving Dana and Ryan to start packing.

"I was hoping Jay would be here to tell her but a couple of days ago i spotted Crescent's pod just of the coast. Crescent and Arrow were there to. They look good". Dana told him as they walked to Jay's room.

"Do you really think she will come back?" He asked his sister as Dana took her clothes out of the closet.

"I do. Ryan she fought demons, she fought her way back from her coma so trust me when i say she will fight her way through this".

Ryan nodded at his sister. "Come on lets pack she will need a room in the new house when she comes home".

Reefside...

Jay walked inside Tommy's house and joined him in his lab. "Bat cave for the win".

"Very funny". He spoke from his chair. Her eyes caught the green stone that was in front of him.

"Green dino gem?"

"Yeah only a piece though, it seems to have broken into three pieces but i only found one".

"Has it bonded to anyone?" She asked holding the piece in her hand. She shut her eyes as she felt a pain in her head.

"No it has to be whole. Jay you okay?" He asked noticing the look on her face.

"Yeah its nothing just a headache". She replied. "I'm hungry i am going to grab a snack"

Jay walked up the steps. She shook her head. "What the?" She whispered as her chest began to radiate a green glow. Jay stumbled as the glow got brighter. As it faded she fell face first onto the kitchen floor.

Tommy looked as the piece of the gem began to glow softly. "No way". He ran up the stairs. "Jay i thin-". He stopped talking as he saw her passed out on his floor. "Jay! Jay come on!"

"T-Tommy?" She questioned as her eyes opened. "What happened?"

"You tell me" He asked helping her to her feet.

She rubbed her head. "One minute i see a green light the next i am waking up on the floor".

"Green light". He got an idea and put the gem into her hand but it did nothing. "Jay have you ever experienced it before?"

"No. why?"

"Because the gem glowed green after you went upstairs and the green light you saw means you might have bonded to it". He answered. "But its impossible because the gem needs to be whole. Look i will get a friend of mine to check it out for now if you notice anything let me know okay".

"Okay i will". She promised giving him a pinky swear.

Outside a woman smiled brightly as she sat up on the roof of the house. "You have healed enough to accept it Jaylynn. We will meet soon". The woman whispered.
