Sonic's next stop was Zora's Domain. Navi told him the last spiritual stone must be a water stone. To get to Zora's Domain, Sonic had to follow the zora river. It wasn't long before he came to a waterfall. "Hey, Sonic, look where you're standing," said Navi. Sonic saw he was standing on the triforce symbol. "Hmm. I wonder…" he said aloud. Sonic played Zelda's Lullaby on the ocarina and sure enough, the waterfall magically split into two. "Cool," said Sonic as he hopped inside. Navi followed close behind. Soon, Sonic found himself in the pretty Zora's Domain which was home to all kinds of water-loving creatures, like zoras, which were like aliens with fins on their arms and legs like fish. They could breathe underwater and swim in the coldest waters, but today the water was nice and warm. There were also mermaids. All these creatures were happily splashing around. "Hey!" Sonic laughed when a zora accidentally splashed him. "Sorry about that, kid," he said. "No problem," Sonic said, brushing water off his face. "I'm looking for Prince Daniel Dolphin."
"Oh, Daniel's feeding Lord Jabu-Jabu," said the Zora. "Ariel's guarding the entrance to the zora fountain. If you ask her nicely, she'll let you pass."
"Okay," said Sonic. "Where is she now?"
"She's at the top of the small waterfall up there. You can't miss her," said the zora. "Thank you," said Sonic and he raced up the small hill to the top of the tiny waterfall where Ariel, a little mermaid with a green tail, a purple seashell top and pretty red hair, was sitting. "Hi, little hedgehog," she said. "Welcome to Zora's Domain. I am Ariel, princess of the sea. I rule Zora's Domain by Prince Daniel's side."
"Hello, Ariel," said Sonic, bowing to her. "I heard Daniel's feeding Lord Jabu-Jabu. May I please pass through here so I can talk to him?"
"Certainly," said Ariel and she scooched over. Sonic went up another small path that took him to the waterfall where he passed Ariel and entered..
Zora's Fountain
And there was Lord Jabu-Jabu, just like the zora that splashed him said. But there was no Daniel. "That's strange," said Sonic. "I thought Daniel was here, feeding this Jabu guy." Little did Sonic know that Lord Jabu-Jabu was hungrier than usual and was willing to swallow anything that came too close. Suddenly, he opened his mouth and Sonic was sucked inside!
